Good enough

hotel was very clean, maintained all the time. customer service was good, Lenni at the front desk was kind enough to make my stay comfortable. really appreciated his help. the only part that was disappointing was snack bar.. it was all the way by the beach.. far walk from Principe, if the bugges dont run later on. over all i had a blast, the food was good and the staff!!

Amazing resort

Love love ❤️ Bahia Principe Punta Cana Dominican Republic it was my second vacation at this resort 😊 and I will definitely vaca there again hoping to go next year! Racism was terrible :(

When we first got to the resort.... we were so happy to see the nice weather, the clean resort, the welcoming from staff but then reality hit over the next few days. Racism towards my husband was terrible. They wouldn't serve him until everyone else was served. We later learned that Dominicans are racist towards other Black people thinking they are Haitians. What disappointment this trip was. No more Dominican trip for us.... :(

Great experience

The Grand Bahia complex of hotels is an awesome resort - great food, dynamite beach and perfect entertainment late night, every night. The rooms are comfortable, clean and close to everything, with shuttles and pools right by the door. The check-in process and booking of restaurants is quite a hassle and could be improved. The bar drinks and service could also be improved, but we stayed during holy week so perhaps this was the reason for delays and sloppy cocktails. Great Vacation!

Friendly staff, great pools, great service, beautiful grounds and beach. Restaurants were great, food was really good. No complaints! We spent a week here and had a great time. We would definitely go back!

Not impressed

The grounds are beautiful. The bed was very hard. Staff were rude and ignorant. Not what I expect from a Bahia Principe The only way I had beer in my room was when I went to complain about it. So in 7 days I had beer twice. Maid would leave 1 pkg of coffee but no sugar or creamer. Or no coffee. I never knew what I would get. We arrived at the resort around 11am. Never had a room til almost 5pm.

Resort was nice

The hotel itself was nice. Too big for my personal preference. A few of the staff were very pleasant, but most were rude and impersonal. The food was average, a la carts were ok, but hard to book. Especially since i speak very little spanish, felt as if i was interupting the person taking the booking. 24 hour restaraunt was non existant. Shopping was a little too high priced, and sales people extremely pushy. Had a theft from our room, front desk treated us as if we were lying. Nothing was e [... read more]ver resolved. Ni beer in our fridge for 3 days, until i complained. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Amazing vacation!!!

Everything about the hotel was perfect! This was our second stay, first time as royal golden and would definately book royal golden again! Our room was the first building at the beach and pool, everything was close to our room. The food was delicious and the beach was beautiful. We had a very nice and sunny week, can't wait to go back next year.

Love it here

Our weather was perfect, the resort grounds meticulous, the food was excellent, the pools and beach were exactly what we wanted and we cannot wait to go back! We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this paradise

Nice Resort

The grounds were beautifully kept, rooms were fine except some maids put more effort into their job than others!! Food was "excellent"! Beach was fabulous & kept very clean!!! However, sand flies were a problem for some, just remember your bug spray. Since my boyfriend does not drink, I like wine, found it extremely difficult to arrange to have a bottle of wine put in the hotel fridge, even house wine nothing expensive. First land stay that we both said we would go back.

Beautiful Amazing Resort!

Thank you to Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana for our amazing vacation!!! The resort was beautiful, the beach incredible, the pools fantastic, our room was clean comfortable and amazing as welll. The staff at this resort were so friendly, helpful and made our stay happy and safe. The food at this resort was FANTASTIC!!! Their buffets were always fresh and full with lots of choices! Expect the unexpected

Hotel /resort was over all nice. You can see it’s aging. The buffet food was ok, a bit repetitive. The pools are nice and the beach is nice and clean. The disappointment started when there were items in my room not working properly ex. Jacuzzi, balcony light. They state there’s a mini bar in the room, it’s just mini fridge with soft drinks. Everything is spread out on the resort, although they have shuttle service sometimes you will find that you will get to where you want faster if yo [... read more]u just walk and if you’re willing to walk at least 10 to 15 minutes. They only provide free Wi-Fi in the lobby (which isn’t very strong) although they mentioned there is free Wi-Fi. I had to pay for Wi-Fi for an entire week in my room and also was able to use within the resort. However, often times the connection was very poor and that was frustrating. Not all the bars had the exact same drinks so there was no consistency in that area. Another big disappointment was I can only book at three restaurants during my 7 day stay. Previous resorts I have gone to you could book at the restaurants as many times as you want. The staff could be friendlier.

Had a great time

Had a great time at this hotel, the staff was very friendly and most of them could understand English and speak it to. The buffet restaurant had lots to offer and food was very good although it could have been a little hotter. We ate a four a la cartes and found them all to be quite good. Never had a problem getting a chair around the pool. The grounds are kept very nice and the staff works hard at keeping things clean. I would recommend this hotel.

Great resort

The resort and grounds are beautiful. Staff are amazing, we had been told that people in punts cana were not as friendly but we beg to differ. The food is great but the Buffett food could be hotter. Al a cartes fantastic especially the mikado(Japanese). The free wifi is sporadic and could be easier to use. We did have an issue with our safe not easy at times to get into. Our rooms were tidied but they could be more conscious of giving soaps etc, and we had an issue with towels one evening which  [... read more]was taken care of. Entertainment was good especially the circus show was over and above. Bugs were an issue as well, came home with many bites. All and all though very nice resort.

Good Resort

The resort itself is beautiful and quite large. Good variety of activities happening throughout the day. Great place to come with a family. The beach is pretty much impossible to use with the issue of people saving chairs however the multiple pools make up for it. Food at buffet is okay, a la cartes are great.

LOVE The GRAND BAHIA PRINCIPE PUNTA CANA

This was our second year at the Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana and we love this resort. The grounds are immaculate, the rooms spacious and clean, the pools are beautiful and the beach is our favourite of anywhere we have been. The food is great at both the buffet and the ala cartes and the drinks are good. The staff work very hard and are friendly.

Nice resort

Hotel and resort is very nice and clean food was great but room service was disappointing did not leave bottle water half the time in our room front desk was not very helpfull when checking in but customer service was great

Beautiful property

Very clean property. All washrooms spotless, even around pool areas. No plumbing issues LOL I have been to approximately 20 resorts and the food at the Bahia Principe was fantastic. The buffet was great, all looked fresh everyday. Great cheeses and cold cuts everyday. Because it's a big property, the trains to transport guests were great and always available. No waiting. If you have difficulties ambulating, this commodity is great. (my wife as M.S) and she had no issues I recommend this res [... read more]ort to anyone and would return in a heart beat.

Second trip to this resort!!

Visited this resort in 2012 with our family. So glad we returned! Love this place. Good food,entertainment, and staff all great. The rooms are a little dated but clean. The beach amazing!! Will definitely be returning !!

I had such a nice vacation

Beautiful, well kept, clean, amazing beach and pools, convenient shuttle, great food. Only complaint was that becsuse there are so many activities going on, it is pretty loud in common areas such as beach, pools, buffet, lounge/lobby. Room was very quiet.
