Great time.

Stayed from Jan. 12 to 19. My wife and I enjoyed the beach and the food was above average( for cuba) Would definitly return to cayo coco memories caribe. A solid 4 star. Service was great, rooms beautiful and always something going on with the entertainment team

Great Resort

Check in went smooth. Welcome drink upon arrival. Room clean and spacious. Food good and plentiful. Coffee and tea good and hot at Bars and Beans Cafe. Great ice cream Beach nice and sandy and shallow 24 hour bar had good pizza's. One day we did have warm shower water Staff and grounds great

Great Resort!

The staff are incredibly friendly and the beach is beautiful. The resort did an amazing job for new years eve, they have a very nice buffet dinner, a water show and a made a dance floor on the pool deck. Met some amazing people and would for sure go back

Memories Caribe Cayo Coco

My recent stay at Caribe was not a very pleasant one. Dirty stained sheets and bed cover on more than one occasion Patio Doors would not open and close properly Spiders in bed Toad in room Keys not working properly Broken shelf in refrigerator No bar soap provided, had to ask Shampoo and body wash not topped up Towel shortage Loud air conditioner Food mediocre with terrible cross contamination (not enough serving spoons and not monitored) Always alway always had to ask for a spoon,  [... read more]drove me nuts. Really not 4 star quality Although I was compensated with 2 extra hours on the last day for the toad in my room, it did not make up for the unpleasant experience.

Amazing place best people

I had and amazing new years experience at memories caribe. They make you feel like family. The food at the cuban restaurant is to die for the best lobster and largest lobster I have ever seen and only 15 cuc. The buffet amazing food u can get fresh made omelets or pancakes for breakfast lunch is always tasty with fresh soups and chicken then dinner fresh pasta and stir fry. Beautiful resort

The hotel itself was clean but outdated. The wifi was very annoying. The maids did not fully clean our room which wasn’t nice to come into either. But the staff was AMAZING!!! Couldn’t ask for better people

Lovely Time!

We enjoyed our stay at Memories Caribe. The first room we were given was leaking and smelled very bad and so after asking 4 times, we were finally moved to an upgraded room. The upgraded rooms have doors on the toilet area but not on the shower area (we brought a shower curtain along as it was a friend and myself). The drinks are not the greatest. We got a few bug bites but some people had quite a few bites and said it's the worse they have seen in bites in 8 years. The food was good but nothing [... read more] special. The beach was nice as well. I would say diamond club was worth it as we received an extra ala carte meal and upgraded alcohol, which I'm not sure we actually received all the time and a special area on the beach. I did not find the staff overly friendly. The resort is small and everything is in walking distance but I would try somewhere else next time.

It's OK for what we pay

everything would be fine, but the The fact that we got numerous bites suggests that you are not struggling like other hotels with this. A la carte restaurants are not attractive and do not offer anything special. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The area looks great. Clean and well maintained. Everything else was good. Thanks!

Amazing beach and poor service

Hello, so...The hotel offers two dinners in the two restaurants. What can I say? We saw a rat at dinner ! All dishes in both restaurants have a terrible taste. Edible food was in the buffet and the one that was immediately cooked for us (meat, omelettes, fish). The cooked meal was previously inedible. Delicious coffee and ice cream in a cafe-bar were very tasty . We went for dinner to a beach restaurant (20 minutes by taxi from hotel). I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s really 3 star hotel following my observation.

Cayo Coco Memories caribian ressort

Comme la plupart des hôtels à Cuba - belle construction, mais pas très bien maintenu. Belles chambres spacieuses et propres, mais les détails... A l'arrivée pas d'eau chaude, le display de l'air conditionne n'affiche pas la température, pas de pancarte "Ne pas déranger " etc. Mais le service très bon, tout se fait. One of my favorite resorts in Cayo Coco

This is my second time going to Memories Caribe Beach Resort. The beach and the pool are second to none. Foremost, the staff at the resort is professional, polite, respectful, and considerate. Management is always on hand if you require assistance or need to resolve any issues. The Asian, Mediterranean and the Cuban restaurants are classy and serves very good food. Entertainment during the day and evening is packed to the fullest. You need not be bored at this resort. In all of Cayo Coco resorts [... read more], Memories Caribe is one of my favorites. Note: it didn't seem that the upgrades between the Diamond Club and being a regular guess were that noticeable. The best bang for your buck is go as a regular guest.

Really nice time

Beaches are incredible. Food was very good and accommodations as well. Staff were excellent. We had a really good time. A little weird that the new renos for the bathroom didn't have a door, but we survived.

Paradise!!!

My boyfriend (30) and I (24) spent the week here for our birthdays. Wow wow wow, Let me say: when you arrive, you’re stepping into paradise! We spent extra to get a suite, which was well worth it. I would say we had the best location on the whole resort! Close to the pool/buffet, a beautiful lake view with tropical birds, and close to the ocean! 3901 all the way! Food: We definitely had the best food compared to all the other resorts (just from talking to other tourists on the buses). The  [... read more]food is all fresh, and the CHEESE is the best I’ve ever had! Remember all the food is fresh, so they don’t need to be seasoned as much as North American food! But should you want it to be, they have salt, pepper, hot sauce, oregano, etc for the chefs to add to your liking. If you are a strict vegan it would be harder to eat here although you could do it. They have an abundance of fruit, hashbrowns, pastries, Salad, etc., but the food actually prepared by chefs is usually cross contaminated because being vegan/vegetarian isn’t a thing there, but they are accommodating! I’m vegetarian, so if you are too, I recommend the buffet as they have a delicious pasta bar with homemade sauce (white and red)! My body got so used to eating fresh food with no GMO’s or preservatives (cause everything’s grown in Cuba) that when I came back home me and my boyfriend got sick from eating North American food! So I recommend when you get home ease into ordering that burger! Excursions: If you want to do anything extra away from your resort I recommend talking to your airline rep on the resort! For Air Canada ours was Yanelis! She was amazing. If you book through her you get 30% off your spa day: we did a couples massage, mud mask, reflexology, and I got my hair braided. The spa is gorgeous - this was by for my favourite day. We also booked a beach party through her that all the resorts can go to - it included dance lessons, an afro Cuban show, and dance party. Our host was fantastic!! I don’t think there’s a Cuban that can’t dance btw! We also did an all in one which included going to the main land, horse and carriage ride, private band with their staple pina colada drinks, then their dolphin rescue where we swam with a mom and her 4 year old, and lastly scuba diving!!! I recommend the all in one because you can spend more of your vacation days relaxing at the resort while also doing everything on your list in one day! Beach: jaw-dropping, beautiful turquoise water. I recommend the diamond club especially for the beach, so you always have a chair available, and drinks brought to you. Always lots to do here like dancing, volleyball, water workouts, and snorkelling. You can always pay to go boating on the beach, but I recommend going through your airline rep as it’s safer and cheaper than going with the local guy. But people still do it! It’s just a smaller boat and more bumpy. Entertainment: I think the motto of Cayo Coco is if people aren’t dancing, it’s time to make them dance! At the end of the day it’s your vacation, so you can do what you want - but It’s worth letting your hair down, and joining the dance! Also, their nightly shows are fantastic! Their dancers have gone to school for this so they are professionals and know what they’re doing. It’s amazing to think that kind of entertainment comes with your stay at the resort. Also, the entertainment in the bar with the piano is top tier. Sax, guitar players, singing, dancing! Staff: Very professional and kind. They make you feel safe and at home. Our maid Madeline had our suite looking and smelling amazing every afternoon! The animal shapes she could fold with our towels were so fun! Also, you can’t walk anywhere without one of the gardeners saying “hola!” Or checking up on you. It was a great feeling. Chefs, bartenders, servers, everyone was on point. You can tell they are diligent with their training across the board. You can make your stay at Memories Caribe anything you want it to be: a relaxing vacation, a party, adventure, or a little bit of everything! We will be back soon Memories!

Okay Resort

The resort is a 3 star. Food was cold at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and supper. Not sure if they had problems with the warming stations. So have the roasted pork which the person serves you. Or have them cook the meat for you. We did diamond club and ate breakfast 6 mornings at the Mediterranean Restaurant. This is a nice quiet place to eat. Our room was sold and we ended up getting our room the next day which is a bungalow. After complaining and he admitted to me that he sold our room. Al Fresco room is a bungalow. With an outdoor shower and a bathtub and indoor shower. It is very dated and may not look clean. The 2 story walk up rooms are beautiful and have been redone. The only thing, is their is no door for the bathroom. You will have to ask to have your bed sheets changed and ask them to sweep and mop floor. My maid only made the bed everyday and made a nice towel animals. I did tip and gave gifts everyday. The beach is amazing and the waiter on the beach was great. Yes you can save seats even though their is a sign saying not to at the beach. The pizza hut they have on the beach makes tasty pizza. Hot dog was good burger not so great. If you love long beaches where you can go on forever walks this place is great. Pay 25 pesos to go on a catermeran to snorkel is awesome. My husband said the fishes he saw is what he would have seen Scuba diving. I don't think it is worth to pay diamond club. Basically you get to eat breakfast in a quiet restaurant in the morning and lunch twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

It was a nice resort we enjoyed our stay there it was clean the staff was very friendly However found the pool very cold We had to use the medical facilities on resort and would like to say the medical staff was excellent with my wife

Was never mention about the drinks for diamond club members Bathroom were clean Buffet was good But was not impressed waiting till 4.00pm for our room when we had diamond club The people were very nice and pleasant

Very nice resort

The grounds and the beach were very well kept and clean. The hotel people were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived in Cuba, it was very confusing which bus we were to take to the resort as the Sunwing representative did not greet us. We ended up taking a taxi to the resort. The lakefront room had a great view and the noise from the other rooms was minimal. I was a little surprised that there wasn't any face clothes or facial tissue in the room. Amazing resort, amazing staff!

We've been to another Memories in this area, and the service from the staff has been constantly wonderful. What stands out from this particular location however is the beach. I've never seen such fine sand. On this trip, we simply wanted to relax and this was completely possible. The pool area can get a bit noisy, what with its dancing lessons, contests and the like, but that seems to be a normal thing at all resorts; but it's pretty peaceful until 11 in the morning. The solution is to move [... read more] to the beach for the afternoon. Our favorite spot is the sports bar. A lot of people don't discover it because it seems to be well hidden for some reason. The rooms are pretty spacious and the cleaning staff was great. As for food, it was typical Cuban style. Just find stuff that you like and you'll be fine for the week. The bacon was abnormally slimy, but just get the omlet guy to fry it up a little and it works. We're definitely planning to go back to this location.

Amazing week in Cayo Coco

The Memories Caribe hotel was well kept with beautiful gardens, rooms cleaned daily and the food was pretty good! We stayed in a newly renovated room and the only complaint was it had no bathroom door. I had bought a shower curtain and brought some just a drop and it worked pretty good. The beach was absolutely stunning and you could walk out quite far. There are sand flies and I did get a few bites. Bring some bug spray for the beach and evenings. We took a trip into the town of Moron for the day and hired the fellow that was out front of the hotel to bring us in his 57 Chevy.. It was a GREAT week in Cayo Coco. Very pleased!

This was a great hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were very clean but unless you were in the diamond club there was an empty mini fridge. The entertainment was amazing and the beach was gorgeous! The food wasn't the greatest but most know going to Cuba what to expect. All around great trip
