Hotel Pasacaballo: Very Good Value

This hotel is very good value for the money . I found the rooms very good , the staff was very friendly and accommodating , the service was excellent and the food was OK and always enough . Excellent pool with very clean surroundings . For me , the only negative about staying at this hotel is , it is remote .

Hotel Rancho Luna: You get what you pay for

The hotel is very clean. The staff ensure that the beach, restaurant, lobby, pool is very clean. The rooms are older but effort is made to try and make them comfortable. The food is the same all week with little variation on meat choices. Bring your own sauces, pepper, peanut butter etc... as their only spice is salt. I was also disappointed with the amount of older people hooking up with the very young Cuban women and bringing them to the resort

Playa Giron: Nope!

Broken towel bar, no shower head stand, no fridge in room, grounds not maintained (broken lights), very dark at night, horse droppings on walkways stay there for days. Sea wall blocks view of ocean. Will not go back.

Club Amigo Ancon: Great rest, but very dissapointing facilities

The grounds were fine. A lot of broken glass by the water though. I picked a few, saw people cutting their foot unfortunately, despite the efforts of the staff to not let ppl take glasses outside. The food was a bit uneven, very modest, but you can survive. The large building with standard rooms is a bit scary, not a lot of lights work, very shabby inside.After the rain - water on the floor. BUt the sheets were clean, the floor very clean. And the view of the ocean from all rooms is amazing. A l [... read more]ot of umbrellas and beach chairs. I lived on the sixth floor - no elevators. A la carte mostly were closed. One time they invited foreigners there - it was very bad - same food as in the buffet, but with a lot of Mayo and served with the lids)). There was NO hot water and almost no water with the exception of one day. Few staff speak English. Tropical rooms in a new building are much better.

Club Amigo Costa Sur: Beautiful Location, wonderful friendly staff.

Costa Sur is a lovely resort, very quiet and the food was good on Cuban standards i.e. a little bland but fresh and varied. The rooms were clean, and possibly because we had a bungalow, quiet. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Internet access is available in the lobby, with the purchase of a card, though, as everywhere in Cuba, slow. Only a couple of 'issues'; sometimes the hot water took a little time to start up and there was the occasional power outage usually only lasting a few  [... read more]minutes. We also came at the end of the rainy season so there were some mosquitoes. The setting couldn't be more perfect, only a short ride to Trinidad, a very lively and beautiful city, and close to Topes de Collantes natural area in the mountains (be careful which nature hike you choose as some actually require a fair amount of fitness). You didn't need to leave the resort though to have a great experience, with daily salsa lessons and evening entertainment (thanks Daniel and team!) and beautiful clean beach. They also have a wonderful natural 'pool' created by an arc of coral that was shallow enough and protected from the big waves, perfect for children and non/weak swimmers, and beginner snorkelers. Sunsets are spectacular!

Hotel Rancho Luna: Good resort! :)

The hotel is good kept clean....hotel staff are awesome....i have a few that made the stay feel more like home then a hotel....my pizza / french fry guy who always came through for us at night...George our dining hall waiter he always had our table and drinks waiting for us! My favourite bar tender Nelson he made really good coffee!!! Special thanks to our chamber maid and Luis the poom guy who is family !!!

Hotel Rancho Luna: Very good hotel

Good resort for its price no question good location good food nice and clean swimming pool nice and friendly personel close to Cienfuegos ,all in all I beleive I will stay at this resort again as soon as I star planing another vacation probably in couple of months.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Resort was good for a 3 star

Good resort for a 3 star in Cuba. Friendly staff and the rooms are clean. The food needs some improvement. I brought my own hot sauce and ketchup to add a little flavor to my food. Not much to choose from in the buffet . I was there during the low season, med November, weeks after hurricane irma. This could've been the reason why the food wasn't the best. I would visit Rancho luna a second time.

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: LOVE this place

We have been travelling to Brisas Tinidad Del Mar for many years and have always been very satisfied with the amenities. We were a little hesitant this year with Hurricane Irma having visited! We did go on Nov 10/17 and Brisas Trinidad did not disappoint us. 2 other friends went with us, they have been many places in Cuba but never to Trinidad, they were very impressed with this resort and the staff that catered to our every need and want. The grounds are kept very clean and maintaine [... read more]d, the beach is great, there are plenty of huts and loungers to go around for all the guests. The pool was very inviting and clean. A nice change to the resort is all drinks are served in real glasses as opposed to plastic (other than the pool bar and the beach bar of course) The buffet was clean and the food was good. I certainly cannot rave about the food but I always find something to eat. (we were in Cuba after all) The pizza, hotdogs and fries are excellent at the snack bar. We also enjoyed the La Vigra restaurant as well where the service is fabulous. Above all else, the service and staff at Brisas are the reason we go back. I cannot say enough about the people there. Osmany is the Public Relation Manager at that resort and he always makes sure that everything is perfect. I LOVE the staff at Brisas!! Our room was clean and the housekeeper was exceptional. Clean towels everyday Air conditioner worked very well and we always had plenty of hot water. We have booked another trip to Brisas Trinidad in January and we are already looking forward it to!

Hotel Rancho Luna: Fantastic resort

Hotel clean grounds wonderful staff couteous food good. Lots to do in town also went on excursion to Trinidad. Wonderful little city. Lots of night life in Cienfuegos. Weather perfect cool at night hot during day.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Disgusting Hotel

Over all the hotel and its accommodation is okey, but the Hygiene practice of staff was extremely poor, water with the yellow color was non sanitary and I picked up a stomach bug, and several bites on my body which has became infected ( Bed Bug ) and still I have not seen any improvement, just remind you, I used at least 30 bottled water for my regular wash and brushing.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Very bad experience

Hi there, I have to let you know that my recent trip to Cienfuegos was the worst trip I've ever had. Our original booking for October 28th was cancelled and i got full refund. But I had to reschedule my working days and.... we booked again for Nov. the 4th for Cienfuegos Rancho Luna. For first two days no water in the resort or very very dirty and smelling.  Because of that they moved us to Trinidad for one and half hour drive for each way. Packing unpacking for another two times which we had [... read more] never planed to go there while we had unfinished business in Cienfuegos. After returning to original hotel my friend and I got sick and diarrhea. We were referred to onsite nurse for help too. For the rest of our trip we had to stay close to our room.  The food quality and quantity was bad. We had two room, 374 and 375. I will never go back to that resort or city again.

The food is gross the hotel shower and toilet need CLR IF YOUR LOOKING 4 CHEAP ACCOMIDATIONS AND DONT MIND NASTY THEN GO Thats all i could say To many Cubains I would not reccomend Hotel Rancho luna to friends only my enemys

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Just Awful!

Please do not recommend this resort to travelers! The food was inedible, cold and covered with flies. The hygiene practices were disgusting. Most of the staff were rude, not interested in assisting with problems or even to provide guests with service. Hotel ran out of ice and towels regularly. We even had to beg for toilet paper at one point. Barely anyone speaks English or at least they pretended they don't speak so that they don't help you. Water in the room was just a trickle and it wa [... read more]s cold. A/C was hit and miss. Shows were repetitive and boring. The beach was a huge problem as well. Garbage everywhere. Some sort of bug was biting in the water and kids were running out screaming. Good luck getting a sunbed under shade/cabana as busloads of tourists from town were dropped off every morning and since the beach is public, they were taking all the spots in front of the hotel. Hotel staff were charging them 2CUC for a chair so they couldn't ask them to leave. You have to get to the beach at 7am to get a spot and even then we had some tourists try to take our towels off our seats so they can claim them as theirs! This resort has a major mosquito problem as there is standing water in front of the hotel which is a breading ground for them. This review is based on many trips to Cuba. We love the culture and the people but this time around, we couldn't wait to get home!

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Horrible trip

We arrived on the Cubana flight Montreal-Cienfuegos on Saturday 29 July for a week and in an hour thirty minutes we were in the lobby of the hotel, I was the first to arrive at the reception to check in and quickly everything was done quite fast, but now they tell us that the room will not be ready until 4pm, well it does not matter we are going to eat something and refresh that day the heat and the sun were unbearable, we arrived at the buffet all the tables are dirty and there are not even cle [... read more]an plates we wait for almost 20 min to get clean the dishes and clean table, the food was a disaster and the flies everywhere. At 4:15 PM they gave us the keys to the room, we arrived at block 7000 the first of the first floor corner entered and we noticed that the AC did not work and the whole wall where the AC was had mildew, My spouse said here we are not going stay here please get us another room. The girl at the reception was kind enough to give us another key and we quickly moved, but the AC not working and the door has hole in the bottom corner, the fridge and the bathroom also out of services he floor was dirty you see long black hairs all over the room. So I returned to the reception and spoke to the public relations guy and very attentive he apologize and tells us that this will be resolved quickly, he goes and speaks with apparently the boss at the moment and they give me another key but I said that I'm going to see first the room, that I do not carry any more suitcases. The new room was in the same condition except that the fridges works. I turn to my wife and tell her there is no more they are all the same do yourself the idea that you are camping, and she said THIS IS CUBA. |I go back I return the key and tell the guy that we are keeping the old room and please send me somebody to change the fridge. I return to the room to get changed and before we go to the beach I go to the toilet (# 2) and it does not work I tell my wife I'm going to go to the lobby to book in the restaurant when I was actually going to ask someone to fix the bathroom, I explain And they tell me that there are no problems that someone sent, at 20min they touch the door is the maintenance man who comes to see the problem yay or had managed to discharge the rate with the sandbag of my girl. I was fighting for almost an hour and it leaves working bravo arrives the night and my girl goes to the bathroom and already again it does not work :-( I explain that there are problems with the water that we are going to have to use the cubit  and thus we stayed all week. The food and services were not good, the pool and beach were filthy. But it changes on Wednesday, when suddenly everything improves, in the buffet there is more variety and everything is more cleaning, they open the bar that was closed near the pool. What's the matter I asked around? There is visit coming to inspect the hotel, so now because the inspection things are as they have to be. Well at least we got 2 days of what should have the whole week. I will not recommend the hotel to anyone until the change the way they run the hotel and fix all the issues with the rooms

Hotel Rancho Luna: same as before

The beach was small and no swim area. Ran out of ice, pop, etc. The trinidad excursion was not the greatest. No pina coladas at all, or mojitos. Music went on until 1 am. Pool was green,not able to swim. Not enough activities, no bingo. no pharmacy, nurses and doctor did not want to help. restaurant service sucked. the flight was ok and meal. the air condioner in buffet was not on. they need circulation fans everywhere. more help in the alacarte.

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Very disappointing

The grounds were nicely kept,the beach was nice and quiet but the room was discusting!!!The food was bad and the restaurant was very dirty.The staff were unhappy to be there!We all got sick and most of the other guests!!!They should not be allowed to operate this hotel!!Shame on you Brisad del Trinidad😡
