Valentin Perla Blanca: Great resort.

Pretty decent hotel. Great pool area. Fantastic beach. Not a bad food it’s just repetitive. Great service and super friendly staff. Clean room. No power outages. Entertainment every night with excellent service at the main lobby bar with great selection of drinks.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Amazing resort

Absolutely fantastic experience at Paradisus Los Cayos. If you're lucky enough to experience the Royal Service you're in for a treat. We had concierge service, Jahana and Yoana are amazing. They looked after our every need, booked our a la cartes and checked in with us everyday to ensure we were enjoying our stay. This was in the entire resort, not just in the Royal section. We made a special request to recognize a birthday and Elianis in costumer service went above and beyond. She decorated the room, left a gift, and arranged a birthday dinner, it was beautiful. Beach: We enjoyed the main beach. Beach bar is close, wait staff always going around to take drink orders, snack grill has good burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches. You can snorkel right off the beach, go to the left by the rocks. Walk to the right, you can go a long way and there is a beautiful sandbar. Pool: Main pool is great, swim up bar, snack shack is right beside it, music playing, and entertainment is good. Bartender at swim up bar is fun and very nice. Food: Every meal was great. We didn’t expect the food to be that good in Cuba, absolutely incredible. Nobody goes to Cuba for the food, but our whole group was honestly surprised at how much variety there was and everything had so much flavour. Cappuccino’s are amazing. Nothing was missing. We highly recommend this resort. Don’t let negative reviews of Cuba stop you from visiting this beautiful resort. We never had power issues, we always had water, and there were no shortages of food, drinks or wine. We will definitely come back to this resort.

Melia Las Dunas: Amazing Resort for value

It's a very large resort, on one of the most beautiful beaches in the World. The Staff is friendly, they go beyond the call of duty to accommodate you. The Food was good. The grounds are beautiful The rooms are large and clean, I would highly recommend Judy (Massage Therapist in the Melia Spa. Resonance Musique Santa Maria: Strongly recommended

My amazing agent O'Neil Graham from Tripcentral tel.800 665 4981 ex7435 booked this resort for me even if not listed on Tripcentral website. The hotel is very friendly for mature clients providing soft, low volume music in swimming pool section. Long beach is good for walking and water is worm due to bay location on Carabean Sea. Ping pong table is shalterd from wind under roof for extra activities apart from horse riding and others. Rooms are renowated with modern, quiet AC. From your room you [... read more] can walk barefoot 40 m to the beach where chairs are waiting for you not being piled up like in many resorts. Food is at least satisfactory , only missing more fresh veggies. I will come again. Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: A good result

Hi I liked the staff was amazing but the management are very unprofessional they didn't listen for what we been ask for no place for the kids to play no attention for my son from the hotel at all. They told me the play ground open but never was open I will give 3 start not 5. My son 3 years old i got charge same as an odult .

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Nice resort in a beautiful sheltered bay with loud music

Just returned from a week at the Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas. I would definitely recommend this resort: it's nice and clean and well laid out - Having been to Cuba close to 20 times now here are a couple of notable things: -The Cubans can NOT use Canadian coins, so if you're tipping either use US or Canadian $ (we brought US$1's from here, but you could exchange there as well); -The resort has LOUD music on the beach (and the pool actually) and no way to escape it, so if you're looking for a [... read more] quiet beach spot this is not it. At one point I was 200m away, UNDER water in the ocean with EARPLUGS in and I could literally hear our beach music clearly - also walking the entire bay you can hear our music the whole time, even over the other resorts that you walk past; -The staff here are really lovely and some of the best I've encountered in terms of friendliness, service, and taking initiative; -If you have been to Cuba before you will know to check the public bathrooms for toilet paper before you go in, they often don't have any, but as long as you're prepared it's fine - our room was always stocked; -The shows are LOUD, again, earplugs necessary; -We stayed in Building 8 on the third floor (room 848 and 849) and had beautiful views of the beach. This building is located right between the main lobby/buffet and the adults only section/beach so we found it perfect to access both the buffet/lobby and beach; -We brought toothbrushes, hair accessories, toothpaste, etc to give to the maid each day and when I asked her what they really needed most she said clothing and baby/kid supplies were the most challenging for them due to cost or availability. One of the staff asked us for cigarettes which we didn't have as we don't smoke, but maybe that's hard as well; -We felt safe at all times at this resort, and in Cuba generally. The culture and people are very friendly and will pretty much drop everything to help you, they're very kind; -The food was pretty good at the buffet (we didn't do any a-la-carte): always a good mix of papaya, starfruit, fresh octopus (SO good), fish, stews and loads of fresh bread and butter at every meal; -We took the catamaran rides 3 days and I would HIGHLY recommend it, it was SUPER fun and our 'captain' was very skilled; -The resort/beach is situated so that it's sheltered from the prevailing winds, which is in large part why we chose it, perfect location for us and we had hot sunny weather the whole week (Jan. 28-Feb. 4, 2025). Overall a beautiful week in a beautiful country.

The beach and weather was beautiful. The resort was nice but is outdated. Food was awful, bed had springs popping up. The view from our room wasn’t great, had a garbage can outside. Too much walking..

Don’t book this hotel no internet in the room you have to come to lobby no food around only at snack bar but it’s very bad food. Entertainment Is same each night. overall don’t go to this resort it waste of money.

The One Gallery Hotel: It's an awesome resort.

This was our second visit and plan to return.The staff are wonderful people, beach is the best. The food was good and lots of it. Clean,comfortable and very well run.The staff became good friends we are looking forward to visiting them again next year.

The One Gallery Hotel: Beautiful Art resort

The One Gallery is a beautiful resort. The grounds are well maintained and everything is pretty close together. The art work is unique and interesting. The lobby layout is weird. The sitting areas are all separated by large pillars making watching night time entertainment difficult and not enough indoor seating. There is ample outdoor seating on both sides of the lobby. The staff everywhere were friendly. The rooms were cleaned well and we had a very nice attendant. Our toilet didn't work for 2 days and received a number of excuses from the customer service. After they "fixed" it whenever it stopped working again we had to hit the side of the tank to get it to flush. We also had very little water pressure all week. The buffet was good. The cooking stations are in a separate section. There was a lot of seating areas. The animation team at the pool were good. Very repetitive but came up with fun games each day. As it was cold and rainy many days I feel like they could have done more to keep people entertained. The cigar bar was a nice little hideaway and the sports bar was excellent. The snack bar had good sandwiches and a pizza station at lunch. The night entertainment was good. The beach is beautiful! The pool bar was our favorite location. The staff Yoel went out of his way to serve people, make conversation and make his guests feel special.

We took a break from Cuba because we were tired of the resorts running out of food, and drinks, I was very impressed by this resort, it was clean, the rooms are big with plenty of drawers, the food was fantastic, they never ran out of anything, the selection was pretty decent as well. I hope the resort keeps up with good management I would like to go back

This is my third time to this resort and still haven’t been disappointed! Rooms are always clean , staff is friendly and amazing. The beach is stunning! No shortage of food at this resort, if you can’t find something to eat at one buffet go to the next one!!!! I highly recommend Santuary Grande Memories!!!!!!

This spa & resort was more than my expectations. The amenities were so great and welcoming. The beach is amazing with all the water sports that you could ever want. The rooms were clean and up to date. The food was amazing as well. Had everything we needed every day. Most of all the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and supportive

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Enjoyable

Everything is clean, well kept, enjoyable but the pools are kiddies pools, to shallow, all four of them, but that is compesated by the nice beach. There is always a gardener around working. Buildings were serviced as well.

This resort had everything we needed. Our Oceanfront room was 5 minutes to nice pool great beach and buffet. The buffet food was cold. The Worst thing about this resort was the Volume of music at the pool ! That ruined our stay. Long travelling days

From the airport you go on a bus to the hotel but it is guided by a local and never seems long. Once arrived at the hotel you are greeted by staff that take your luggage over to the lobby where you can get a drink and a snack (pizza) if you come in late like we did. The staff are so friendly. We are then taken to our rooms when we are ready to go. The rooms are spacious, clean and the views are great. The maids are truly safe to have in your rooms. They definitely do a great job keeping th [... read more]e rooms clean and leave you a kind decor gesture on the bed daily. I always bring gifts for the staff as they don’t have all that we do. So they truly appreciate it. The white sand beach is long to walk or run or swim in the clear water. There is staff to assist with getting lounge chairs at the beach and they had a waiter serving drinks as well this year. The food is delicious and there is always something to eat. I am dairy and gluten free and I eat well when here. The chefs are truly amazing. The night life shows are always a pleasure to go see. Don’t miss the Michael Jackson’s event. There is a shopping village within walking distance to go to as well. Here there is a fitness gym for workouts and a spa as well as much more. The entertainment group also works during the day with yoga, games, dance lessons. The pools are clean and the set up is great here. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Cuba. This was my second visit here and have made some friends that I stay in touch with when I return home. Grateful for sure a great place to enjoy.

- There is no 24 hour snack bar as stated - No turn down service - No robes in our room - Our bedding, towels and furniture were all stained despite changing rooms and having our room made up daily - The toilet seat was hanging off the bowl and you would have to flush over and over - Our patio door on ground level did not lock, then when we changed rooms our deadbolt did not work - Despite having a ‘do not disturb’ sign on our door, the cleaners tried coming in two different times - There [... read more] are NO amenities in the room - They didn’t want to provide us with wifi, until I showed them it was included with the resort package - There was no airport shuttle to the resort despite it being included in the package; we nearly got left at the airport when we landed at midnight - There was no VIP drink dispenser in our room (butler later told us they don’t do this anymore) Our mini bar was also never restocked with water. - The shower/tub was all rusted and falling apart - on our 5th day, no one in our bungalow had running water. When I went in the lounge/main area on our first night after a 30 hour delay, we were told the snack bar would be open - there was absolutely no food just a pizza area that staff had to work. There was a staff member asleep at one of the tables in the lobby. When woken, he did not want to make us anything to eat. There was also a surprising amount of cats literally everywhere including in the buffet area. Also, none of the should be hot food is covered, which then allowed the flies into everything. I didn’t want to touch anything. I didn’t want to lay in the soiled bed. I didn’t want to eat anything. It was very disgusting and it feels like it was all a lie.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great People but Many Management Failures !

The people are great, the pool bartenders awesome. There are significant issues though, and they all come down to a failure for management oversight. The Sanctuary buffet is covered in flies, and the occasional cockroach. The buffet at the main Sanctuaries area is indoors and is 3 times the size, with much better food. I recommend taking the 5 minute walk over there for the major meals. In the meantime the flies have settled into the food for the night, and a cockroach once sat on the cutting board. I was saw a fly swimming in the pizza sauce ! TripAdvisor censored the pictures I posted of it all. I guess they found them too extreme. The cocktails are all haphazard at best and served in plastic dixie cups for the most part. The Spanish coffee was served in tiny wine glasses. You will absolutely not get a decent cocktail or margarita anywhere in the resort. Margarita: there's no blenders and no triple sec, it's tequila (when they have it, rum when they don't) served without salt, in a dixie cup, with juice from a machine. If you take advantage of the "sign-in" program over at the Resonance you can get free drinks there and they are made properly in their sports bar. The Resonance Sports bar had the best blender margaritas I've ever had in Cuba ! There's golf carts that leave from the main Grand Memories lobby after the nightly show. You have to sign in at the their lobby, and then the drinks are free. They bill Grand Memories monthly, simple based on headcount for the month. There are bedbugs and sandflies, so be prepared for it. I had to demand a new room after I discovered blood dripping in my bathtub, fixtures falling off the walls, and garbage on the ground outside my balcony. It was like they were testing to see how bad a room they could give someone to see what happens. It was disgusting. The upgraded room was better, but they are all way past their best before dates. The Cuban solution though is always to keep slapping on more paint and ignore the root of it. The public bathrooms are terrible, the pool bathroom is soaked in urine every day. The men's at the Theatre was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen in my world travels. After I posted picture of it on TripAdvisor they condemned it and nailed the door shut....easier than just renovating it (i.e. management fails). Management needs a dedicated daily resource on all bathrooms, and they need to be hosed down 3 times a day. That is correct - they need to hosed top to bottom and with disinfectant. Walking in a floor of urine is the daily pool bathroom experience. So, management problems are over the place but the people are always nice and smiling, so I give them credit for that. Would I go back ?...only if there was a major deal to be found, because the negatives sadly outweigh the positives.
