Media Luna Resort: Disappointed

Excellent staff and service. Resort need some works and repairs.Worst beach we been too.Rooms have issues with insect and bugs.Road to resort need serious repairs.Buffet is always cold and also got very sick prior to our departure.

Henry Morgan Resort: Just.....ok

Rooms were clean, grounds were not so inviting, dark common area beyond reception, no bar area outside, only inside where dark and cloomy. Outside snack bar basic, not overly inviting. Pool was cloudy. Wood decking extremely slippery especially for a tropical area. Construction all week from early in day into the night. Local beggers on beach were relentless....far too many and a constant in your face. If you wanted coffee in morning before 7 you had to pay for it, no coffee pot in rooms. Mayan Princess Beach Resort: Tropical Paridise

Mayan princess Check in was fast easy The grounds were clean and beautiful .The suite we checked into was fantastic and very clean . The grounds r beautiful, they need to work on the alacart reservations the staff and bartenders were very pleasant and Leo at the main desk well she was awesome I hope she is recognized and appreciated The best beach love it

Henry Morgan Resort: great beaches, friendly staff at a somewhat tired resort

great beaches, friendly staff at a somewhat tired resort WE were at the HM between 12th and 19th of December and have mixed feelings about the experience. WE had difficulty exchanging CDN money - not available at all except 50% exchange for US dollars! WE could not get small bills for our US dollars and Honduran Limparas were difficult to change into small bills. The pool was a great size for doing our exercises, the decking around the pool and towards the beach was large and shaded from the sun. Lots of beach chairs. Took two trips which were both good and if one likes diving or snorkeling this is the place to be. The resort buildings are a bit on the tired size but repairs were ongoing. thanks

Henry Morgan Resort: Great ocean access with many challenges

This hotel is dated and a bit tired - all of which would be fine if they had proper railings on stairs and in pool area. Guests are provided on arrival with a 500ml bottle of water which needs constant refilling in the lobby where there was always one of the jugs which was empty - this is a burden as room water is not drinkable and it is hot. The front desk staff were very surly around providing money conversion or any change. After many conversations they finally agreed through the manager t [... read more]o provide change for our group only. Hard to tip in these circumstances which seems counter productive. The grounds were sprayed twice a day which was needed as one was bitten often but this was also a concern re nature of spray!!! The ocean and sand are great as is the food (meals and beach bar),wine bar (extra to pay for decent wine and special coffees) and staff working in all of the above! We went on a day trip where staff were very informative and welcoming and got a discount on the glass bottom boat as well - both experiences are recommended.

Henry Morgan Resort: Value for the money

Henry Morgan resort is rather rustic but has an amazing beach. Staff is friendly. Food is well prepared with a nice but not overwhelming variety. Rooms are clean but not comfortable being poorly lit and uncomfortable chairs. Lobby is very dim and it is difficult to see in the evening. Nice winery bar with good wines and coffe for reasonable extra charge. Good value if well priced.

Media Luna Resort: Awesome diving, Good resort

Quiet relaxing resort. Great staff. Food was okay. Bar could have used a wider variety of alcohol. Special thanks to Zaira Teruel for doing her part to make sure our vacation was a good one. Also a special thanks to Juan Cartos,,,, best guy working in the restaurant by far... The on site dive shop was great. Junior and Ernesto made sure everyone enjoyed every dive,,,,

Media Luna Resort: Beautiful!

Only stayed for one week but wished it was two! Beautiful resort- the rooms that our set up cottage style are absolutely amazing very big and spacious. It was nice having the option of 3 different pools plenty of chairs and seating. The beach nice although quite rocky but it was a very nice view to look at. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation it was simply amazing. Can't wait to go back again!

Fantastic Time Location,location,location ,what a place , with a great vibe. And great people all around. We spent two weeks there and we were still sad to leave. Everyone that we talked to while there also loved the place. Some days(rainy season) we just ate and hung out swinging in the hammocks (so relaxing).Other days , just hop in a water taxi and check out West end or a beautiful walk down the beach and snorkel till your hearts content. Henry Morgan Resort: great time despite weather

This was our third time in Roatan and our second time at Henry Morgan. The staff is great, very friendly, and super accommodating. They are constantly cleaning. The hotel is basic and a little rustic, as are most in the area. The food was great with a good selection. We took the daily walking tours, since the sea was a little rough, and found them to be informative and fun. We plan on returning again.

Media Luna Resort: It was PERFECT!

To be honest some enjoy the "busy-ness" of large chain resorts and that is fine I guess if there is enough room, but that was NOT what we were looking for. Media Luna is absolutely beautiful and gives you the feel of having the amenities, but also the aspect of some solitude as well. A vacation for me is to relax, not be caught up in lines and fighting for position to get a chair down near the water every morning and then have to put up with loud obnoxious idiots getting drunk and stupid. The room (cabana) was comfortable and cozy also allowing you have a sense of privacy instead of having people in rooms next to you... this was nice as well. The diving staff were cool and helpful each time we went to rent gear and the water is absolutely spectacular for diving and snorkeling! With the way the world is these days in North America to be able to see water so clean is refreshing to say the vary least. Only note I can make that may be considered a downside may be the food. I am not picky and I had done my homework to understand the food would not be 5 star .. that turned out to be true, but you can find a couple things and stick with them :-) Overall, I would rather go back winning something free for this review than to go to Mexico ... that should tell you something about my overall rating of Media Luna!

Media Luna Resort: Hidden Gem

First off let me start off by saying that the people who work at this resort really care about what they're doing and go out of their way to make sure you're having an amazing vacation. Our Cabana was clean, huge bathroom, large deck with a hammock, two beds/closets, tv and you can control the air conditioning. There's little hidden beaches all around the resort, along with 3 pools (but who wants pools when you have the most beautiful sea in front of you) and you never feel like you're too crowd [... read more]ed. We took Kayaks out and staff would go out with you if you didn't feel comfortable going out alone. Amazing snorkeling and we hear from new friends that we met there that there was even more amazing diving! The food was good and the buffet had something for everyone. The only three downsides to this resort were the alcohol (beer and wine was pretty terrible although the pina coladas were great lol) and the bar was only open until 11 so if you're looking for a crazy party resort this is not it (we were looking for a more relaxing vibe and we definitely found it with media luna) as well as the one a la carte that you get was not that great of food or selection. That being said, we went ziplining through the resort at a place called pirates of the Caribbean ziplining (AMAZING) 300 feet above the jungle with the view of the sea. We also rented a car through the resort and drove through the island of roatan to West end and West Bay (highly recommend doing this we were able to see and meet some pretty cool people and eat amazing local food) as well as we cabbed into town through the resort and went for supper at Romeos', AMAZING seafood place on the water 15 minutes from the resort. All in all we had an amazing time at Media Luna. We were treated well by everyone and were able to get the relaxing/exploration trip we were looking for. A big shout out to Kelly on the entertainment team who definitely made our trip for us, going out of his way to make sure he knew everyone and make sure everyone was happy. Be sure you sit down and have a chat with him, he's an amazing guy to talk to! Amy :)

Media Luna Resort: Amazing snorkeling

It was a very quiet resort. Highly recommended for snorkeler and divers. Snorkeling right at the resort. The food was a little bit repetitive, but tasted good. The beach is short and narrow, so would not recommend for people looking for nice long sandy beach.

Henry Morgan Resort: Good resort

This was a nice hotel. The staff was attentive and helpful. The bed was as hard as a brick! The food was ok. The location is perfect, there are tons of beach chairs. We had a great time and would definitely return.

Henry Morgan Resort: Improving

The hotel is slowly upgrading which is good. New features would be the wine bar and the beach bar. The food is still very plain and lacking in variety. The staff is unbelievable and makes u forget the rest. George should be the manager of the entire property. He is the best in customer service I have ever seen.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Fantastic

Beach to die for. Staff was incredible. Food was good except for the rancid butter on first buffet, be careful still of what you eat on hot vacations. 7 days of 36-39 degree days, diving well organized but busy on cruise ship days. Great place for snorkelers as the reef is close and active. If you`re a diver do the shark dive. Not sure if it was the week we were there or if it is normal but night noise was bad with parties.

Parrot Tree Beach Resort: Relaxation at its best!

If your looking for a quiet vacation of relaxation this is the place. Excursions, rental cars, taxi's, on resort snorkeling and dive adventures are all available without the hustle and bustle of a busy resort. There is no reserving of beach or pool chairs, at the most there would be 10 people at the pool. The resort and the rooms are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend this resort to families. There isn't much for kids to do, no kids club or shows etc for the [... read more]m. The only negatives we would say is the food at the Palapa Restaurant wasn't great. We fed a lot of our meals to the resort cats. We were told that the female cook was great but only worked in the morning. They provide a shuttle for $5 person to the grocery store which is great. Friends we made went to Cal's just outside the resort and said it was amazing food and atmosphere. The other negative is the sand fleas but that's everywhere on the island. Bring lots of Off.
