Everything went smooth, we had a really fun time. Lots of things to do. And the staff were great. Food and drinks were good. There is a lot of partying going on but they do offer other activities for the non partiers

Riu Santa Fe: Gorgeous
We just stayed at Riu Santa Fe this past week (Jan1-9) and we absolutely loved it. Water, activities, parties, everything one can look for. We are more on the chill side and we still attended three of Riu parties. They have parties on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat. The food was amazing, staff was great, the room was clean, spațios and beautiful and what seemed to be newly renovated. Only downside (not for us in particular) but good to mention was the Steakhouse restaurant. We were not able to get in at[... read more] all and they don't take reservations so you have to line up for it. Even the beach, despite the red flag, was totally swimmable using caution and without going far from shore. Not for kids though. I wouldn't let my kid swim in it due to currents. Great resort, great food, amazing stay, we had a blast!!

Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: so so
Pros: Very good fitness centre. Food OK but not great. Rooms clean.
Cons: Can't swim in ocean. Low class clientele. BASICALLY ZERO COVID SAFETY. Most dining and bar venues closed during daytime. Usual all-inclusive problems with food and low quality drinks.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Expectations exceeded!
Huge hotel, two very large pools and lots of seating areas. Service was excellent during our entire stay! Not a single complaint. Food at the buffets had a lot of variety, plenty to choose from, even for the pickiest of eaters! Tried 2 Ã la cartes and they were both great! Rooms were just as expected, clean, spacious, and large bathroom and stocked bar and fridge. Everything we could have wanted. Access to the neighbouring resorts was easy, kids enjoyed the water slides at the Santa Fe, just a [... read more]short walk. Taco stand at the pool was delicious for lunch or snacks. Cafe/Bar closest to the lobby offered great views and excellent coffee and drinks.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Good resort, food could have been a little better especially at the a la carts
Hotel staff were amazing hotel was pretty clean but none of our rooms had any hot water at any time during the week. The concierge service was great everything we needed they were very helpful. The food at the a la carts was probably the worst we've had at all our mexico visits maybe even worse than just the main food court

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: A Little Bit of a Tired Resort but Super Friendly Staff
We were a family of 6 adults, 4 hadn't been to Riu Palace before but my husband and I have visited the resort a couple times, this being our 4th visit. Unfortunately, our previous visits were not acknowledged upon arrival. The resort is nice and has amazing views, probably one of the prettiest resorts we have ever visited. However, the rooms are a little tired, our pillows were at least 5 years old (lumpy and hard), the sinks in our bathroom were both cracked, the sofas were a bit worn, etc. [... read more] Luckily we weren't in our rooms much and the pools and surrounding areas are beautiful. This resort is not good if you have mobility issues since you need to walk a lot and there's lots of stairs, even just to get to the bathroom from one of the restaurants one needs to go down a hall and down a set of stairs. The restaurants don't need to be booked in advance, but be sure to check in about 45 min's before you want to eat to see how backed up they are. They will give you a buzzer to call you back when ready. The restaurants could use an upgrade in menus and food quality. The buffet is super and has a ton of choices for all meals. One thing this hotel has going for it is its wonderful staff. They are very friendly and willing to go above and beyond.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful resort
Large resort with two huge pools and two bar pools. Nightly entertainment was great. Beautiful flowers surrounded the pools. Food was delicious. All staff were friendly. Only problem is rooms are not very soundproof. Room beside us was noisy and partying at night until 4 am. Great views of lands end and cruise ships.

Riu Palace Baja California: 4 star resort, 2 star food
The hotel was nice but nothing spectacular. The room was large and well appointed, the pool areas were also nice but pretty basic. Nice that there were 2 full size pools and 2 swim up bar pools as it's a fairly large hotel. We managed to find loungers each day but if the hotel was full I bet it would be a lot harder after mid morning. The staff were good in general with only a few that seemed to just be going through the motions. For the amount of money this resort charges I was greatly disappoi[... read more]nted with the food offerings. The buffet was random for sure and it was rare to get anything fresh that hadn't been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The specialty restaurants were first come first served which is fine if they have enough seating but even with the hotel at maybe half capacity there was an hour wait for most if you got there any time after 7pm. The Japanese restaurant and the Steak house were the only 2 we visited. The gyoza was mushy, the sushi was unidentifiable and the Yakisoba was dry and tasteless. Huge letdown for someone from Vancouver where there are more good sushi restaurants than starbucks. The steak house was also underwhelming, Both of our steaks were served under and had to be sent back. At least they weren't over and needed to be thrown out. Under seasoned and lack of creativity with sides. All in all I would not recommend or repeat as we could have had an equal or better experience for half the price in a less expensive resort town than Cabo. Cabo is pretty and I would go there again if I found a less expensive vacation rental but we'll be heading further south again next time for more bang for our buck.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Truly a star resort!
This resort was so clean! The room was very well stocked, no request was to small The staff were friendly, polite and remembered us from one day to the next as we walked by. The food, oh so amazing. I was very pleased to see so many vegetarian options. The pools were clean and 2 were reserved for adults only. The beach area was also kept clean and you could walk for quite a way in the beautiful sand.
The activities that were organized where a lot of fun and engaged everyone.
The only Co[... read more]vid related restrictions that I was aware of, was that the disco was closed, but also renovations going on at the next hotel.
The view each morning of the sunrise from our balcony was magic. And we could see the Arc from everywhere.
Only complaint is that the 'kids entertainment' was in the same location as the adults show. So this meant waiting until much later to have the show start if you didn't bring kids along. I think the 'kids' show should be relocated saving the huge stage and bar aea for the adults. The room service menu really needs some additions to it. Just my opinion.
Overall 5 stars, well worth the trip. We will be going back.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Hyatt Ziva- One Week Stay
For the amount of money paid to stay at this resort, I would not recommend. Our room had mold around the sink and on the shower curtain. Room service did not show up regularly unless called. The food was average and themed night rarely had any food that was actually themed.
However the staff was wonderful. They were polite and helpful and always had smiles on their face.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great times at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas
We enjoyed 2 weeks at the Riu Palace. The people working there were always cleaning, working, and taking care of the hotel and the grounds and it showed. The hotel was excellently taken care of.
The two large pools provided quiet times in one and activity in the other, we preferred the quiet side. Our pool waiter Berezain was excellent giving us drinks and talking with us making us feel like at home.
The main buffet restaurant was large and had a great variety of food for breakfast and supper[... read more]. Our favourite waiters Allix and Meno gave excellent service. The alacarts were good and our favourite was El Medano, our steaks were tender and tasty.
The rooms are well kept and maids gave us great service with towel friends left for us to enjoy. Any issues with the room was taken care of quickly.
Overall the resort is huge and busy but we were still able to find a lounger at 11 am. The iced coffees at capuchino were great at the end of our day.
We give the hotel 5 stars!

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Borderline decent, certainly overpriced
I'm usually not picky with pointless details in terms of quality in hotel services and amenities. This hotel was disappointing. Just the highlights:
- A/C failed in our room for about 36 hours straight. The problem happened in several guest rooms and certain other common areas such as the coffee shop. What was truly disappointing was not that much the lack of A/C during our "vacation" but the fact that we had to spend quite a bit of of hours of our vacation time appealing to the "kindness" [... read more]of several "managers" during different shifts. At the beginning of the ordeal, the management answer was that "it would be fixed soon", after some follow-up inquiries the answer changed to "I don't know when it will be fixed, it is a problem in the entire hotel". To our dismay, walking back to our A/C-less room we find another open room (being cleaned) and we asked the cleaning lady about the A/C to find out that such room and many others across the hotel do have working A/C !!! This is the truly serious disappointment. What a lack of integrity and commitment to serve guests just trying to vacation. Heading back to the lobby to confront the "manager" without integrity we now find there is now another higher-up manager who has no option but to tell the truth. Completely comical in retrospect. The new manager now tells us that there are many rooms with A/C but, believe it or not, they have to check if we can be moved to one of these empty rooms. That of course never happened because they needed about 4-6 hours "to check". Anyhow! enough said, long story short, after 36 hrs without A/C, and a lot of wasted time in frustration with incompetent management, the A/C in our room was fixed. [By the way, we saw quite a few other guests with the same problem and frustration]
- Food in the several restaurants is just OK, nothing spectacular and certainly not justifiable for the price.
- The hotel in general is kind of rundown.
- The cleaning in the room is decent but with poor attention to details. Several days our cleaning lady would either miss to replenish toiletries (including toilet paper!) or to leave clean towels.
All in all, I would never go back, not even if they reduce the price by 75%. It seemed the entire hotel was understaffed with stressed out personnel all over the place. I guess is not the staff fault, but very poor management. Biggest issue to me was the lack of integrity with that blatant lie about the A/C.

Riu Santa Fe: Underwhelming Resort
The beach was beautiful but wasnt expecting to swim in there as the tides and undertow very strong. No fault of the resort.
The pools were very nice esthetically but the tiles were falling apart and were constantly stepping on loose plaster, chips and stones. The Infinity pool overlooking the beach was nice providing good views.
The food was horrid.... all of it. We didn't enjoy any meals except the italian restaurant. The buffets were horrible and constantly running out stuff, ie pancakes du[... read more]ring breakfast, most likely cuz it was the only thing that was relatively good. The restaurants, you can't make reservations... you have to line up outside the restaurants when it opens and add your name to a list and hopefully they can accommodate the time you'd like, also the restaurants are buffet as well.
The Waterpark was good, both for adults and kids. There is no shuttle service so prepare to walk a lot. They host themed parties 4 or 5 times a week and it is crazy loud. If you're in villa 7 and 8 you're screwed. When we asked about switching cuz we had babies with us, they said we posssibly could put you in different villas but you'd be downgrading drastically... we had concerns with our room so we didn't want to downgrade.
Our maids were phenomenal. They did a great job cleaning and preparing our rooms, they even found a necklace my wife lost in the room and returned it.
This truly is a party resort. If that's what you want go here. If you don't care about food, rooms, conveniences then go here, if you are going with family and young kids.... avoid big time.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort!
This is a beautiful resort, great location with a spectacular view!
Management team, front desk, room service was all great, very helpful and efficient. A little disappointed with not having adequate access to the beach in front of the property due to the strong undertow current. Some of my concerns, was the noise level on the first and third floor; housekeeping carts, intoxicated guests kept on slamming their room doors in the night. I was on the third floor in a non-smoking room but the stron[... read more]g cigarette scent from the other rooms came right through the ventilation system into my room, which made it seems like I am in a smoker's room. It seems like this hotel keep promoting their sister hotel "Riu Sante Fe" for entertainment and less focus on this hotel for the weekend entertainment.
Overall, it was a very nice vacation.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Great time at the Krystal Grand
My husband and I just returned from a one week trip to Cabo and our stay at Krystal Grand was great. We stayed on the 2nd floor of the Altitude tower in a very nice room that included a jacuzzi on our deck! The ocean views were spectacular and the bed was very comfortable. We had no issues with anything in the room. We did hear of others that had some problems in other buildings so I would suggest the Altitude tower rooms when booking. A big thank you to Roberto- our concierge. He assisted quick[... read more]ly and efficiently with anything we needed and helped make our stay more enjoyable. Navidad and Jose at VIP services were also very helpful and friendly and the lobster dinner arranged for us was fantastic. The pools were always clean and seats were easy to find as we were up early each day. The beach is amazing. Beautiful walks every morning and the crashing waves of the ocean were so relaxing. At times it was even calm enough to venture in a little. We saw lots of fish jumping and some dancing stingrays in the evening. The food was good each day, although not 5 star, there was always something we liked. All covid protocols were being followed by all staff which was much appreciated. All in all we have a beautiful vacation that was much needed!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Boring Palace
When we arrived at the hotel from the airport we checked in we asked for a bellhop we waited didn’t get any and we had to pull our own bags to our room and my husband and I are both handicap we were given a room closer to the elevator which was great which is what we had asked for. When we got to the room we learned that our coffee table as well as our washroom door were really really dusty there was supposed to be a little something for our 25th anniversary in our room as our children had arr[... read more]anged for it prior to the trip and there was nothing there the food is not the greatest. On 1 of the days I asked to get a burger well done (in the main buffet) and I was flat out refused because they were closing in 20 minutes. The food was way better at Santa Fe when we visited los Cabo since I had stayed there the last time they claim to have Indian food which was hardly Indian food it was disgusting to be honest it would give it a zero stars. the service in the lounge in the lobby bar area there was this one lady I couldn’t catch her name as many times as I tried but she’s the only one who wears the orange sparkle eyeshadow in that vicinity that woman has an attitude problem I needed a straw for my drink and she had an issue with that as if it was coming out of her salary. Masks still had to be worn in the buffet areas. The staff at this resort were not as friendly as the staff at other resorts but that’s probably because they are required to wear a mask in 30 degree weather. I felt so bad for them. Honestly, I will NOT be returning to this hotel again. This is not the RIU Palace it was 7 years ago. This place is for older people there’s nothing happening at the Palace. And the staff really need an attitude adjustment. Luis who was working the front desk was the only 1 person who was very helpful. The hotel didn’t have signs notifying the program of the day as you usually see at other resorts. There were a couple of screens there that were supposed to provide that information but that was useless. Overall, not the greatest trip …. Certainly NOT heading back

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great Resort!
Grounds , pools and rooms were awesome. Food was great. The only downside, you can’t swim in the ocean in front of the hotel. (Hugh waves and rip tide)You can go in the ocean but it is a 15-20 min walk down the beach toward Cabo San Lucas.
