Riu Palace Pacifico: Awesome

This hotel the best we ever stayed at. The staff are great food wonderful fresh. We met the manager because day 3 we had a terrible accident at pool. Hotel doctor was great ambulance staff hospital staff great. They even drove us back to hotel. During the worst moments of our life things went smooth. Thanks to staff and people around people icu nurse thank you i hope you read this. We gave suggestion to manager who in turn asked that we write head office and he does his report also. Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: We'll Be Back!

We have been to PVR.... hmm about 17 times and this time we decided to try the Barcelo. After arriving at the airport in Puerto Vallarta, we located our West jet agent outside and they quickly had us on our way to the Hotel. It was about 35 to 40 minutes from the airport. Once we arrived at the Barcelo we were greeted with two cool glasses of Champagne and the check in took about 3 minutes. The Hotel is a bit older but kept in great condition. The rooms are huge and all come with a balcony. The [... read more] grounds are well manicured and staff are continuing cleaning the area. There are two pools, one for Adults only and the other for kids. We never had to worry about not getting a chair during our stay. There is a small beach out front and well manicured and safe. We found the 4 restaurants adequate and the main Buffet was totally Awesome, morning, noon and evening. They have a small bar outside of the Buffet so you could come early and have a drink before dinner. Yes they do have a Pickleball court ;-). Nightly entertainment was Great! This was a Great hotel for families, singles and older Seniors. The staff were always there to help and very very friendly. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful resort

The Iberostar Playa Mita is a gorgeous resort, right up there in the best I’ve been to. The grounds are impeccable, the food is very good with a huge selection for every possible taste . The pool has the most amazing view of the ocean right in front of it, and the entertainment staff do a great job keeping everyone entertained throughout the day. The beds were actually extremely c [... read more]omfortable and the pillows plush and firm. A/C worked flawlessly. The staff definitely work very hard to make sure you are 100% happy all the time. A quick 20 minute Uber trip into Sayulita makes getting off the resort easy and fun - definitely go check it out! All in all, a great choice for a nice vacation.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Comfortable

Hotel is definitely aging and needs lots of updating. That said, the staff is wonderful, everything is very clean, the beach is one of the best. It is easy to walk into the small town of Bucerias or up to the highway to catch a bus into puerto vallarta and the malecon. Food is good for breakfast and lunch but dinner is not great. Ala carte restaurants are good. Easy to walk into town to one of the many restaurants there.

Riu Vallarta: Not bad

We where surprised how big the resort is Some of the staff are very nice And some still have to learn customer service Is my first time to come to the riu vallarta I normally. Go to riu jalisco Every year I go 2 times to the jalisco Thanks for you service

Riu Vallarta: Met my expectations

My daughter and I loved the easy and layout of the resort. The ocean view balcony room was not even am upgrade I chose but it was a lovely surprise. The beach was well maintained and felt safe in and around the hotel. I do prefer more fluid pools vs blocky choppy separated pools but this is my preference and the gym was a bit small to accommodate but I was happy it was functional. The food was great, no complaints really. the buffet was always fresh and restocked and had enough variety for us to enjoy and find some of our favorites. The Riu hotels are usually quite good, I would recommend.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Enjoyed our stay

Staff were so friendly and accommodating and resort was very clean. We had a blast! The food wasn’t great but we did enjoy our meals at The Grill. We wished they had more activities/events going on like other resorts offer. We also would’ve preferred having more for the kids to do but they still enjoyed it.

Riu Flamingos: Best vacation

Been there during Christmas 2024 - one of the best trip i ever had. Staff very good, hotel a bit dated but clean and good condition. I love the layout of hotel, not too big, everything just walking distance.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Meh

The beach was good. Be careful if there are big waves. The pool was ok but we are ocean goers. The service on the beach was very good “thank you Willian”. There is only the lobby bar after 8:00 pm and the entertainment is in the lobby. The buffet was good and had lots of selections. The al a carts were varied, both types and quality of food preparation. The Mexican was excellent of course. The Italian was ok. The French was awful and the chefs there should be ashamed. We didn’t get to the seafo [... read more]od. Check in was good, and the room was large and comfortable. There is construction next door and we knew that so no bid deal. Overall we were satisfied with our week stay but would probably stay elsewhere when we return to PV.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: Fiesta Americana resort

Nice resort with comfortable and clean rooms. Due to the rooms close proximity to the pool and nightly entertainment the rooms can be a bit noisy if you are an early sleeper. The hotel is very close to the beach but I would not recommend this as a beach vacation as the water is very rough and getting in is very difficult due to the rocks washing down from the mountains. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Amazing for the price

When we arrived we thought maybe we had made a mistake. Building er were originally put in was a block from beach. First day changed rooms. By the end of vacation we rated it up there with some of the places previously stayed at near csncun. Great for kids. No undertow. Water was warm. Coral island had great visibility and variety of fish.

Dreams Bahia Mita Surf and Spa: Ok

Hotel has construction happening next to the hotel. Lots of noise during the day and at night too. Buffet is ok. Lots of language barrier with waiters and staff. Limited restaurants and only cafes and most close at 5 till dinner.

Secrets Bahia Mita Surf and Spa: Great resort

Secrets Bahia Mita, PV, is a beautiful place to stay. The staff, pools and restaurants met all of our expectations-friendly, helpful, clean and the food was very good if you went to the adults only sit down restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the food and staff at The Blue Water restaurant-beef dishes were outstanding and beautifully presented. It’s close to the beach too and if you’re lucky, you can see it before the sun sets. Not the best place if you have walking issues-beach, large pools an [... read more]d most restaurants are about a 10 minute walk door to door. We would NOT recommend the preferred club upgrade unless you feel you need top of the line alcohol and a more private bar area. Coors light is available and house wines were pretty good! Watch out for the very charming, friendly greeters at the checkin desk and around resort-they try to talk you into a 90 minute presentation re: vacation club advantages. Overall, we’re glad we stayed at this hotel!

Riu Flamingos: Perfect week

The service was great. Resort clean and well staffed. Ocean swimming was a blast. The weather report was saying rain the whole time but it was fabulous and a good mix of sun and cloud. It rained briefly overnight but days were amazing! Lots of shade and umbrellas for rent in the beach!

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Good time!

This was our 5th time at this hotel. The check in process was very smooth. The rooms are always kept clean although there were a couple of days when the cleaning staff were very late to clean our room. The restaurants are very good, from the buffet to all the a la cartes. The french was our favourite. There are always lots of choices at the buffet especially at breakfast and lunch. There is construction of a new resort on the south side of the hotel so noise may be an issue going forward. The staff are always very helpful and with a smile. Our main complaint is, again, the shortage of umbrellas and loungers on the beach. It was a problem every day. Overall, we had a lovely time and would return.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Location, location, location

The exterior of the hotel was exceptional, right from the lobby, pools, snack, shacks, and adults only swimming pool. Upon arrival, there is a breathtaking view from the balcony that allows you to see the ocean. I was most impressed with the bistro that served a variety of specialty coffees and sandwiches. One of the snack shacks offered a more western cuisine, such as french fries and hotdog. While the other one offered a Mexican flair which included fish tacos, and nachos. I really enjoy the daily activities that were offered which included yoga/stretch, stretching, a guided beach, walk, aqua size, and guided bike tours. Uncertain occasions, there were activities to keep you entertained such as Bingo, Easter shows, fire dance shows, and circus entertainment. Depending on which type of rooms you got, it could be absolutely fabulous or one that you would consider changing. I did not realize it, but the room I had was not in the best shape. It was dated and needed a lot of upkeep. The shower was turned in a way that left pools of water in the bathroom, so kept the room fairly damp and humid. The air-conditioning worked great and it was quite comfortable. The Wi-Fi worked very well in around the area and especially great near the lobby. The à la carte restaurants did a fabulous job at providing food that was different from the buffet.

Hotel stay was great!Room was clean and staff was excellent. Great location and maintenance was immaculate. There was always something to eat and we enjoyed all of it. Many pools to choose from. Beach had lots of waves but enjoyed the water. Staff were friendly and helpful!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very poor at best

The hotel was very run down... - I had one warm/hot shower in 7 days , taps dripping, and no hot water in the sinks. toilets did not flush - the food quality was very poor - lots of choices but everything ( sauces) were watered down lacked in flavor compared to other resorts in Mexico and general overall quality of food was very poor - the bar's had NO fresh fruit, limes, lemons etc. - everything was high sugar content and really just bad. No fresh bananas or strawberries or access for dri [... read more]nks or smoothies etc. the due to the fact that the locals took up over 85% of the hotel , we will NEVER go back....... we were treated poorly...... I have never stayed in a Hotel that was like going to a mexican convention......

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing vacation

My stay at your resort was wonderful… the grounds were beautiful, the beach and ocean are what I will miss the most … my grandsons wedding was beautifully handled by your staff… the food at your buffet was excellent and the staff friendly and attentive.. the restaurants were all very good except I was disappointed in the food at the French restaurant… not at all what I expected … the Japanese was superb with very talented chefs .. The rooms were a bit dated but very comfortable and the cleaning [... read more] was excellent … the bathrooms need some work … our stopper would either get stuck down or not go down at all making bathing difficult … and our safe didn’t work at all Overall though again I had an incredible vacation and would certainly stay at your resort again..

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Beautiful resort with a beautiful beach (if you can find a chair)

Sadly, our trip was not the best. From the time of arrival it was disappointing. I had called in previously to ensure we would be able to have a smooth early check in (as we checked out at 2am on our last day there) and I was ensured that we would be able to get our wristbands early without a fee - this was a lie. We had to pay to have them before 12pm. Next issue is that there are not enough amenities for the amount of rooms. Getting a reservation to the a la cart restaurants is nearly impos [... read more]sible. The concierge could care less about being helpful with it and just tell you to keep trying the app. (7 days and couldn’t get a single reservation even though we logged in right when we were told to each and every day) If you have any food intolerance, this will not be the place to go as no one has knowledge of what ingredients are in buffet items. The housekeeping staff were amazing, the bar tenders were a blast, the beach is gorgeous (but finding a chair is also impossible), and the room was comfortable - but unless you plan on living on alcohol your whole trip, I’d suggest you find something with a better food rating.
