Very modern and clean resort

The food was just okay. Surprisingly the buffet was better than the al la cart restaurants. Staff and animation crew were fantastic. Drinks were extremely watered down !!!there was a lot of smokers on the resort and the smoked where ever They wanted, even in areas clearly marked no smoking. The rooms were gorgeous and very spacious. Especially our swim up room was great.

Relaxing Resort

Amazing resort ,first class pool, very relaxing. I had a junior suite with a pool view. Newer resort less than 2 years old . Room very modern with a deep soaker tub and separate shower. Quite .I had a great night sleep.

Amazing Resort

All the a la carts were excellent..service at the buffet was great...rooms were impeccable!! I would highly recommend the rooms with the pool outside your balcony. Management was always checking to make sure everything was satisfactory with you.

Good resort!

Overall the resort was great. The staff where amazing and quick. Food was just ok at most of the restaurants. Beach was fine. Definitely need water shoes if you want to go into the water. We had a great time.

Beautiful resort!

Everything was clean and pleasant. The only possible negative would be the rocks & weeds in the ocean area. The beach itself was beautiful and not crowded. In my opinion, if that is the only negative, it's a fantastic place!

Great Resort!

I have mixed feelings about the trip but would still recommend this resort. There was a tractor on the beach constantly trying to remove seaweed but a 100 yards down the beach was perfect. The common pool area was a zoo but our swim up pool was to die for. Our room was excellent and the staff were excellent. The a la carte restaurants seem to be closed often, without a published schedule and when open waiting an hour before getting a table. The buffet restaurant was excellent.

Great resort

The hotel was beautiful. I recommend Platinum swim-out rooms they are awesome. Food was great. Beautiful, clean resort. The only bad things were the beach is not too nice and the resort is a little ways from the airport. But would definitely go back to this resort.

Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort, rooms are beautiful, swim up rooms are totally with the upgrade. Al la carte restaurants are all very good, but only 1 takes reservations which sucked... beach was beatific but not the best for swimming a lot of rocks and coral. Service was excellent.

Great time!

Great resort rooms are nice. We could have had a pool room if we upgrade on line for $100 each for the week. We decided to try and upgrade when we arrived but it was around 100 per day. I would recommend upgrading on line if you are going to do it. Food and service was excellent. My favorite night was the Japanese a la carte food was great and the chef was awesome. The beach was not as good as I had hoped. We had to walk a long way to find a place on the beach where we could swim. Use the pool i [... read more]f you want to swim! As far as Sunwing the service was great but the seats on the plane are tight. This was a great holiday for my wife and me. Looking forward to next year.

Very Nice Resort

Very nice resort. Food was good as well. Beach could be a bit cleaner (a lot of sea weeds) but overall enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were very clean and modern. Everything worked well.

A real 5* resort. Everything was great!

The a-la-carts required no reservations, unlimited visits and were excellent. We found the buffet to be much like the the a-la-carts in that we were catered to there as well.The food selection and quality beat any other place we have been by a long shot.The staff was very attentive. Drinks were brought to us on the beach or anywhere on the resort we happened to be. From start to finish it was a great choice.

Great resort

Hotel was great , one little complaint , stairs should have railings on both sides , my wife slipped on the tiled stairs coming down with no railing to hold onto. She twisted her ankle, xrays show a slight crack further investigations are in place.

I am a fussy! but this one met my standards!

Everything is as the pictures shows, gorges resort excellent service, rooms are amazing, but if you are looking for sandy beaches not here, you will have to swim over some rocks and sea weed before you get to a nice white sand and blue water, doable but unappealing. Rooms, large and modern, great balcony and room service is well maintained, mini bar full every day beds are comfortable and showers/toilet/bathtub are as per pictures (better than at home). Food is good but we were there for a wedding so ate at the buffet only as we were there for only 3 days however no reservation for restaurants is a major plus.

Awesome resort

The hotel was fabulous. Staff so friendly and always there to help. Food was awesome at all the restaurants and lots to do! The rooms are stunning. We had such a great vacation there. This was our second time to Mexico and I will return to this resort for sure.

Amazing resort

It was a second time there! We visited the same time last year and decided to return because of our great first experience! The beach is not what I prefer but the swim out suites make up for it. The vast selection of great food always gives you options on what and where to eat. The gym is also very important to me and appreciated the high quality of the equipment

Average at best

Have been to other resorts in this area that were much nicer. Food was very average , staff were not overly friendly, rooms felt almost sterile , the buildings and grounds not very impressive. Would not recommend.

Great Resort!

Resort is clean, well kept, excellent food and drinks. Al a carte restaurants were awesome, especially Tao. Rodeo Grill is a great steak restaurant at night and snack place open 24 hrs. Beach is not great in front of hotel, but just down to the right at the sister properties the beach and swimming is much better. Pools are large and clean. Upgrade to a swim out room if you can. Staff friendly and helpful. Concierge service was especially helpful and informative.

Great place to go relax!

The hotel was very nice and work was constantly going on, painting, re doing the cement in the fountains, etc. It wasn't very busy so we never had to wait for dinner, and all restaurants were incredible! We have been to Sandals and some other highly rated hotels in the Caribbean and Platinum does not take a back seat to any of them!

Wow! Great Food, Friendly Service, Great Value

We thouroughly enjoyed the trip. The Platinum Yucatan Princess did not disappoint. Staff were always super cheerful and helpful. My wife loved the spa. One of the spa staff members arrived for work while we were waiting to depart and made a point of coming over to say goodbye. There was continual access to a variety of great quality food. If to complain of anything it would be the seaweed at the beach area. But the pools with ample seating made up for that. I have already recommended the resort  [... read more]to a few friends. Excellent Resort

Amazing resort. Service was good it was ten minute cab ride into town. A La Carts were by show up only. The only thing sucked was it was September and high tide so sea weed was on the beach but the resort pools made up for it.
