Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Awesome resort

Resort was exactly what we had wanted beautiful resort great food well kept property rooms were clean and spacious the only downside was the sea weed but of no fault of the resort and the staff worked really hard every day to clean it up . Would def recommend this resort and we will be returning !

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Great Place for R&R

Beautiful, clean and elegant…this resort employs people who really care about your vacation experience. The beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious and clean. Wide variety of restaurants to choose from depending on your mood…24 hour coffee shop for drinks and snacks too! Everywhere you looked, staff were busy maintaining the beautiful grounds or power washing the walkways. Lots of entertainment if you want it or quiet spaces if not. Lots to do for the kiddies as well, water play area and different planned activities nightly…something for everyone!

Viva Miches by Wyndham: Wonderful resort

The property is beautiful, the staff are amazing and all of your expectations will be exceeded. The rooms are so comfortable and spotless.The food is delicious and the a la cart restaurants are outstanding.The coffee shop makes a delicious cappuccino. You will enjoy the cats living on the property.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Melia Caribe

Originally booked at the adults only Punta Cana Beach but the other couple in our party booked Caribe Family resort in error. Punta Cana Beach had no room we moved to the Caribe side which is a family resort. We had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to book there again.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Average Resort

We made the best our our week at Grand Sirenis. This resort should definitely not be rated high. The food was not the best. There was no consideration for dietary needs. My friend got food poisoning for two days. We found the pools to be very dirty and the majority of the pool is fairly deep. One day the shallow pool had throw up in it. The employees are wonderful, especially Ana at the buffet and Anthony at the front bar. They do have shows in the evening, however everything pretty much shuts d [... read more]own by 11:00. It would be nice to be able to dance or have a bit of night life. The resort is huge so if you have mobility issues, I would avoid this one.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Fantastic Resort!

The entire resort was clean, the staff were friendly and more than happy to take care of our needs! The food was excellent and the beach beautiful! We met some wonderful people while there on vacation. We are planning on going back very soon.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Sun Sun Sun

We enjoyed 10 days of zero rain during the day. From booking with Cindy, to the end the trip was flawless starting with the WestJet flight. We have been to four other GBP resorts and this one was fantastic. Beautiful Resort, grounds, rooms, and service. Great value.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Beautiful Beach Experience!!

We stayed at this resort the week of May 9 to the 16th. The resort grounds were very well kept clean. The beach is one of the best I’ve experienced the convenience of the beach bar restaurant and washroom facilities close by made it much easier to enjoy the beach as much as possible I also appreciated the Butler style beach service we received for drinks The pool was kept clean. We were able to contact her using WhatsApp, which was convenient. overall I would return to this resort. But would also like to see improvement on the following. Service in general, especially at the buffet was lacking we had to make eye contact and ask for service most of the time, but when we did get it, it was good that went for all the staff in general. Also, there was a timeshare component that we agreed to explore I appreciate and understand wanting to draw up business, your asked to join a session for an hour and then it ends up extending to close to three I think maybe the approach could be different and after the first hour and if the answer is no then the answer is no

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: May 2026

Nice hotel, clean rooms,close to the beach, however the service is terrible. We had a hard time getting a simple glass of water at the buffet breakfast and lunch. The à la cartes were fabulous. The food at the buffets is “meh”. The drinks were awful overall stay was okay. However, we will not be back. For the price we paid, I would have expected at top notch stay.

The buffet food was always room temperature or slightly warm. The buffet items are over filled so they get cold before they are taken. A microwave for customers would help or just put less in the containers. The actual food was a 5/10. They need better cooks. The resort was clean and nice looking. The coffee shop was very nice. The air conditioning in the room didn’t work very well but they couldn’t fix it. We won’t be back because of the buffet was served cold.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Beyond our expectations!

Hotel service was great, the bedroom very clean and comfortable, the food was great and the beach was just beatifull! Service staff was very kind and helpfull. Flights was on time and also very kind staff! Please keep up the good service. We will be back.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Best resort beach, food and staff!

It was our first time at VH Gran Ventana and definitely will not be our last! The beach is crystal clear with beautiful tropical fish swimming around us. The food is absolutely superb! The rooms could do with an update, but on an all inclusive you don’t spend much time in your room anyhow! Our maid did an excellent job everyday, we never needed any towels and our mini fridge was well stocked. Staff are warm, friendly and really make you feel welcome! One small improvement would be to add more umbrellas to the pool and beach areas.We are already planning to return next year!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful place

Big resort. Very clean (room and public spaces). Friendly staff. The only thing is the sargassum. But the beach was cleaned every morning. And it’s something nobody has control. The pools were cristal clean!

The hotel was nice and the food was good The room service was pretty bad they encourage you to use the hotel app which didn't work and when I told them it didn't work they were rude about it insisting that it worked Some of the employees were pretty rude and they would forget things when you order room service The beach and the pool was very nice My wife got a massage from the spa and the oil they used gave her a bad rash so we stayed in the room the last day and a half Overall we had a g [... read more]ood time but probably won't go back

While I had a great time spending the week with family and friends, several aspects of this resort left me disappointed. One challenge was the language barrier, as very few staff members spoke English fluently. That said, the staff were always kind and genuinely tried their best to understand and assist, which I appreciated. In hindsight, I probably should have brushed up on some Spanish before travelling. Storage space was limited, with very little drawer space for clothing, and several drawers were difficult to open and close. Another major issue was the lack of hot water, which made showering uncomfortable throughout the stay. The food was average and not particularly memorable, and the entertainment team did not seem very engaging or interactive with guests. My biggest disappointment, however, was the beach and ocean. The water was murky and not inviting, likely due to a nearby river flowing into the area. Unfortunately, I had to pay for an excursion elsewhere just to enjoy clearer saltwater and a better beach experience. Overall, although I still enjoyed my vacation because of the people I was with, this is not a resort I would personally recommend, nor would I choose to return to it in the future.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: Not Worth It

The hotel is clean, the restaurants are very good, and most of the staff are friendly and genuinely try to go out of their way to help guests. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the concierge, who responded to my questions as though I was inconveniencing her. We also paid extra for the Preferred upgrade, and I would not choose it again at this resort. There did not appear to be many meaningful differences between Preferred and non-Preferred guests. The Preferred lounge was underwhelming, and the Preferred pool was accessible to all guests. Another disappointment was the beach access, which required about a 600-metre walk. One of the biggest concerns was the hotel’s constant requirement for guests to provide their room number — during activities, at restaurants and buffets, and in other areas throughout the resort. This policy did not reflect an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities who may struggle to remember room numbers. My brother, who has an intellectual disability, was unable to participate in activities and was even refused food on one occasion because he could not provide his room number.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort

I loved the resort! Felt like I was in Europe. The entertainment and staff 10/10. The rooms cleaned and kept in order daily. The special order of balloons for my friend’s birthday done beautifully and she was totally surprised. Shout out to Javier for his assistance and patience. I did like the resort. Everything close by. Rooms clean but outdated. Beautiful beach. Food plentiful and lots of variety. What did ruin the Damien our trip was that during the week the hotel has cruise ship people coming in anywhere between 30-100 people almost daily. Also no entertainment between 1130-330. Then very little. On the weekends the locals come in which is fine but they do seem to take over everything. We were unable to even get a chair with shade. Tip well and you will get even better service and attention. We had the premium package and yet the locals were the ones being catered too. I would not return to this resort as I prefer adults only.
