Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Would Not Come Back! Very Disappointed

Unfortunately, this resort was a major disappointment and did not feel close to a 4-star experience. I would rate it closer to a 2.5-star resort at best. The property itself is very dated, and many aspects of the stay felt poorly maintained. One of the biggest issues was the staff experience. Several staff members repeatedly hit on us throughout the trip, even after we politely asked them to stop, which made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. Our room key cards also stopped working almost every night, forcing us to constantly return to the front desk for replacements. The beds were very uncomfortable, hard, and you could feel the springs through the mattress. The overall atmosphere also wasn’t enjoyable for us. The resort catered mostly to an older crowd, and during our stay there were multiple loud arguments and fights between guests. Overall, this was not the relaxing vacation experience we expected, especially for the price paid.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great holiday

My wife and I had a great two week trip to Bahia Principe La Romana. Everything was amazing and our agent Jennifer Brown made sure it was easy and worry free . The food and service was outstanding all around. My only issue was the beach water is not clear like Punta Cana it is murky due to a nearby river flowing into the ocean. The beach was great for walking and just relaxing . It was my second visit to this resort and we really enjoyed our holiday.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Average

The resort was clean. We had great service from the front desk getting us into a room , even though had to be moved 2 times after. The buffet service lacked. We were lucky to be met when we entered and lucky yo have some one return to see if a drink was wanted. The entertainment was very scarce. The seating around the resort was limited and found that people left their towels so no one had access. Many times we had no where to sit.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Beyond Enjoyable

Grounds -beautiful scenery, minuture fountains and so many pools to choose from Rooms -rooms were nice, however, I had a upgrade that I would suggest to others Dinning-food was delicious and tons of it (Salsbury steak was to die for) Staff-very friendly........best staff I have ever met at any hotel ever

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Great vacation

The resort is not new but the rooms are a good size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet was great and a good variety. The snack bar was also good. The grounds are well maintained. The beach is beautiful. I would definitely return to this resort. We had a great vacation

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Fantastic resort!

Beautiful resort with amazing staff. Gardens with aqua blue swimming pools in fabulous designs. Infinity pools that are well appointed over looking The North Atlantic Ocean. There’s not a poor location. Food is delicious!

The hotel as a whole was good, and I would recommend it. It is a good value for the money given everything you get. My only complaint was the drainage. When it rained, it poured, and one day the rooms on the first floor actually flooded. I would be cautious and make sure you get a room on the second or third floor, because they do not really have the infrastructure to protect your belongings from the rain. Relocating was a bit difficult for some friends of mine who were in different rooms; th [... read more]e staff just suggested putting a towel in front of the door as a barrier because the drains were overwhelmed and could not clear the water in time. Other than that, the food was solid. I would just be careful and watch where the flies land, because some of them sneak in past the double doors to the buffet. Also, be careful of where you sit if you are afraid of birds. Overall, it is definitely a 3.5 out of 5 stars for me. It is a solid hotel, and I enjoyed my stay.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing resort

I thought the hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly, kind and dedicated to the well being of how their guests were. The entertainment staff were 10/10, with their enthusiasm, excitement and dedication to make people laugh, play silly games and have the best vacation. As with many reviews the beach area was a huge disappointment and the water was murky. I felt the entertainment pool area was great but I do think the bar over by the tiny ankle deep pool is silly because that area has very little people and with those who don't want to swim were regularly seen walking over to that bar for a drink. If the swim up bar had bar area at the back so that people could walk up to it for a drink I think that would be great but overall the drinks were cold, the sun was hot and we had the best vacation. The entertainment pool was also great for people watching. There are a lot of characters out there lol. We met some really great people from near our home town which also made it fantastic.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Go elsewhere

This resort looks nice on the surface, but a lot issues when it comes to cleanliness of the rooms, maintenance of the resort and overall customer service. We ended up moving to 3 different rooms over the course of our stay to multiple different issues in the rooms- rather it be a leak in the roof, broken air conditioner or no hot water. If there is a problem in the evening they will not send anyone to help you. The lagoon at this resort is a plus to the beach- although not owned by the resort it offers a sheltered place to enjoy the beach without being in open water. If you value your vacation time and don’t want headaches I would go elsewhere- we enjoyed maybe 4 days out of our 14 without having to deal with problems.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great for the price

We thought I was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and energetic. We enjoyed how close the pool and restaurants were to our room. Seating at both the beach and pool was limited after 9 am.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Paradisus Palma Real in April

The hotel was well maintained given its age, spacious and clean and likewise with the guest rooms. The property is large and the buildings are spread out so there was quite a bit of walking for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Disappointed could not find a coconut drink everyday and was not aware that it was available only on the weekend. The food was average except for the breakfast where there was quite a variety offered. Night shows were ok but not advertised ahead of time. I liked the  [... read more]fact that the hotel was close to the airport although took an hour to get to the airport on the departure day due to numerous pickups and traffic. Overall a good experience and vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing facilities

Very clean, staff very friendly. Pools well maintained, beach area cleaned morning. Room was good, fridge leaked but worked. Disappointing part was we trouble booking restaurants, all booked. Unable to book in advance but when we tried booking when we arrived they were all full. Manager got involved and got us into the 3 on our part of the resort.

good resort for a getaway in the sun food is very good - at both the buffet and a la carts buffet was always fresh- restocked and many choices pool was nice and fun times at the swim up bar good energy rooms are dated and need some tlc but are clean the resort is very clean beach isnt the best however it does the job

Riu Palace Bavaro: Could use improvement

Upon walking in the hotel the views were great. The room also looked great minus the minor panelling chips however, there were many mosquitoes as I don’t think there are any systems in place to deter them. Every night I killed at least 6. In addition to that our tissue box never got refilled once it was empty and I noticed that the soaps both in the room and public bathrooms did not get replaced either. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Price was best

Grounds were very nice and maintained. Room was good other than no drawers to unpack. So living out of suitcase was a hassle.Food was adequate, found alot of people aaying they were sick. Not sure from food or too much sun. Entertainment was excellent and team were great. Pool,not enough chairs or umbrellas so by 530 am all the chairs were saved with towels.we found multiple saved chairs were stolen with no regret from thieves when confronted. Wyndham Alltra Samana: Wonderful Vacation!☺️

Beautiful resort with stunning beach in a cove and 3 different pools. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and hot showers. We also had a beautiful 3rd floor garden view. Food was plentiful and delicious! Excellent choices for breakfast including eggs, bacon, fresh breads, pancakes, French toast, cold cuts, fruits, pastries and smoothies. Buffet also had a great selection for lunch and dinner as well. Japanese, Italian and beach restaurant were also excellent. There [... read more] is also a great little coffee/pastry shop! (24 hrs) Many activities and nightly entertainment. Several bars on the resort, in the buffet, near pools and on the beach. Lobby area is lovely and breezy, great place to relax! No bugs during our stay!???

This resort was excellent. Great food and service. The pools and rooms were clean. The staff were great and the resort was well managed. I just wished the lobby’s and some of the restaurants were more air conditioned, otherwise, everything was great.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Wonderfully Clean

The hotel was very clean and the grounds were nicely kept.checkin was very easy and the line up moved smoothly.The buffet was excellent and the overall pool area was great. The room was very clean but somewhat a little dated but that didn't mean much for me. We went there to play golf and after our golf round which was roughly 2:00 upon returning to our room we had no towels to shower and had to chase down the maids for towels and that was pretty much each day. The overall experience was very go [... read more]od the food and the hotel were really nice however the friendliness of the service behind the bars and in general the people working there was poor. Not friendly at all never smiled or talked. I was not impressed with the attitude at all. At the golf course I can't believe how RUDE the employees were to us. I would not go there again to golf.

Just to start off I have been to this resort 4 times and this last one was ok. I travelled with 3 friends on a golf and relaxing vacation and we picked this resort due my recommendation. The buffet food was very good as well and well stocked and again no issue with it. Now lets get to the workers. The buffet waiters were ok but not one would say good morning or hello upon arrival. The lady at front as you walk in was the only one who smiled. When we finished and we left our tip on the table as we all did each meal they would almost push you out of the way to get the money and it seemed like a free fall to get it. I told one server the money wasn't going anywhere. The theme for resort is not to smile and ignore any questions. I went up to take my towel back the night before to get my card so I could check out and all I got was no "cards'. I asked how would I be able to check out and I got a shrug of shoulders. Took my towel when I checked out to front and the person really wasn't happy with it. There wasn't one smile on any of the front receptions and if you asked a question it was if I was bothering them even when there was no one around. If you think the resort people are not friendly don't go to golf course. We have travelled for the past 4 year golfing and at Playa Dorado Golf Course they were so rude and unfriendly that we would not go back there but that will be in another review. Overall I still like this resort but a more friendly vibe would be nice and just a hello goes along way.
