Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Excellente....Top Notch Resort

Nothing but good things to say about this resort. Although we arrived there in the wee hours of Sunday morning, the front desk staff greeted us with a nice "WELCOME HOME" We were tired, and a bit hungry, and where still able to get some food from the burger bar that was still open :) We were taken to our room, and were shown the room in detail. Just show up, and if the line was too long at one, you could go and check out another :) The entire staff were fantastic :) Very friendly, and helpful. Some of the names of the entertainment staff that I managed to recall are: Labron, Scoobie Doo, The Queen, Super Felix. Alphonse from Unlimited Vacation Club. Simon (Bartender from pool bar) These are only a few of the many that helped to make this a very wonderful vacation for us. We would definitely return to this resort for another vacation

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Really good resort!

Food was top notch at a la carte restaurants. Entertainment team was excellent - sexy chocolate was always happy. We loved the entertainment bucks to use at the auction. The only negative was that management did not accommodate or give any options for our teen to stay at the kids club with the rest of our kids group. She would have to had stayed by herself at the unsupervised sports bar when the adults wanted to have a meal by themselves. We didn't allow this to put a damper on our vacation.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: The best resort ever

Everything g from the minute we arrived has been top notch, or as Now resorts say "unlimited luxury"! The hotel and grounds are so clean and inviting. The food superb! All staff from gardeners to concierge extremely friendly and pleasant. We have been travelling in Mexico for 40 years and this resort exceeded any other. BTW Jenn Black has been super helpful with us planning our vacation, even with some curveballs we threw her way after booking. We'll use Tripcentral again without hesitation!

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: ANOTHER PLEASANT STAY

This is my second stay at Now Amber--and I would indeed recommend this to a friend. We stayed in the preferred club, and do think this is worth the few extra dollars-much smoother check in and out, as well as the nice bar on the second floor. This resort has a great location, a vast choice of pools, excellent food and attentive staff. The gym is well appointed and generally quiet. The views are spectacular. The Hotel (Now Jade) was very nice, friendly staff, helpful, quick to help you with anything you required. Pavilion nights: nobody bothered you trying to sell you what they may have in the booths. The shows offered were entertaining.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Great Vacation

This hotel surpassed our expectations, especially for a brand new resort (only 3 months old). The grounds were beautiful, and will only improve over time as the palm trees grow in. The different swimming pools were also great! We had a swim out room on the ground floor. The actual hotel buildings were modern, and the rooms were extremely large. The beach was great, some waves, but also some calm parts. Lots of shade on the beach and lots of palm trees. Sand was golden in colour and ve [... read more]ry fine. No mosquitoes to be seen anywhere. We usually get bitten, and not one bite on this trip! The staff were all excellent, friendly, and very helpful. A true 5* experience.

The rooms were big and bright but I did not enjoy the sandle wood scent. Great amenities and entertainment. There was and an excellent choice of food. The deserts were excellent and the food did not stay out for long.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Now Jade Riviera Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Mexico

I stayed at the Now Jade from January 27 - February 3, 2017 in a tropical suite. Transfer to the Hotel by Nexus (Sunwing transportation company) was swift and no issue. However on the return the bus was 45 minutes late with an excuse that the originally booked bus had mechanical difficulties. We asked to be taken directly to the airport but the driver stopped at Now Sapphire and waiting another 20 minutes. First impression, the Resort was very clean and modern. Check in was quick (note t [... read more]he ask for a $300US deposit, not an imprint but actual charge on your credit care which is suppose to be refunded 3 days after your return). We were quickly ushered to a gentleman waiting for us to do a resort orientation. Much to our disappointment it was a sales pitch to upgrade to the preferred side, the salesperson gets a bonus/percentage if you upgrade. A firm "no" and a healthy tip solved that problem promptly, however we were called one morning in our rooms to see if we wanted a 90 minute discussion and to upgrade. Service/Staff: Outdoor lobby bar is open and airy and a view of the ocean with a beautiful warm breeze. The staff at this bar were very friendly, accommodating and pleasant. Wonderful service and staff and all services were excellent. Room services was very good as was any issues there were there within 5 minutes. Bar and beach service was excellent. Grounds: Well groomed and plush vegetation. Beach was cleaned of seaweed every day, towels were refreshed on the beach. Rooms: Spacious and very nice, kind bed and sitting area with medium sized balcony. Bathroom was gorgeous, deep jetted tub, separate shower with rain showerhead, marble floors, bidet and two sinks. The beds were very comfortable. We were located in Building 3, sufficient but would ask for Building 4 - closer to lobby, pools and restaurants. Food/Restaurants: The food was top notch. Enjoyed the restaurants (Italian, Asian fusion and Mexican). Restaurants and food were outstanding in the restaurants, buffet and pool side grill (great for burgers, hot dogs, ribs, fries, nachos etc.). Coco cafe was also excellent (get your take out coffee, cappuccino etc. here) late night snacks etc. Beach: Rocky when sitting near the centre; further to the right side for the sandy part which was the only part good for swimming; There was lots of lounge chairs till about 9-10am; there was some seat reserving but still remained lots of loungers but not as many palapas. Beach drink services was quick and very friendly. Pool; Did not use the pool at all. SMOKING: When we arrived we were told the resort was Non-smoking. We were shown a small smoking area beside the lobby essentially standing on a small roadway where the staff would smoke. We were stunned as their website does not indicate "non-smoking" nor were we informed by sunwing or our travel agent of this and it is not the norm in Mexico. We then asked (several times to different staff) where is a smoking area and we were told this was the only location. On the third day we found a bar "The Mix" and noticed ash trays everywhere so in essence you were allowed to smoke there, also found a spot outside the lobby. We were disappointed that the staff would not inform us of this when asked several times and had to find on our own. We also encountered a few other guests who were also not told about these smoking areas. I felt the resort did itself a disservice but not informing us of smoking areas, we tried to figure out their motivation and the only conclusion we could reach was that they did not want to look their tip by sending us to another part of the resort. It is a beautiful resort with amazing food but I would not return to this resort

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Amazing resort with Unbelievable Kids Club

The best thing about the resort is how friendly all of the staff were. At the buffets and pool area the waiters were amazing. The food at the al la carte's was very comparable to other resorts maybe even more on the average side. The Kids club was amazing. Very secure and I felt very comfortable leaving my kids their for activities.

when we first arrived at now onyx I knew this would be an amazing resort. check in was a breeze, and staff was so welcoming . the resort grounds are beautiful and has an amazing beach front. we had a swim up room and let's say I couldn't go to another resort without one. There was a bar 15 feet from our room and wait staff wpukd bring us drinks right to our room- talk about service. the rooms were spacious and beautiful. had absolutely no complaints whatsoever. there was a bar fridge, which w [... read more]as stocked daily. room service at end time of day and night and was there within 10 mins everytime. every single person that worked there was amazing. they would all go out of their way to make you happy and get you what you needed. the food was very good and lost of variety- wish there was more seafood but not a huge issue. this resort was a little low key and more for families but breathless is a 3 min walk and is very lively, which you have full access to - so you can have the best of both worlds. overall I enjoyed this resort and have nothing negative to say. i would recommend this resort to friends and family.

We were there for a wedding about 20 guests. The wedding was amazing. The hotel staffs were attentive to our needs. Amazing service from dining, bars, front desk etc. I would recommend to friends and family.

Great staff,great grounds,great food and great selection to choose from and all kinds of drinks and if they don't know give them the recipes and they'll do their best to make it to your taste!!! I will have to go back for sure!!! I feel like they've just spoiled me for any where else that I might consider. They've set the bar very high!!! Oh most of all this place is clean every where even their section of beach more so than the rest of shore line!!!!!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Outstanding Vacation spot!

I visited Now Larimar from Dec 28/16 to Jan 4/17 with my two children, sister and brother-in-law. This was our first time here and we loved every aspect of the holiday! The facilities were clean and very well-maintained. The staff all were so friendly and helpful. It was apparent that the staff wanted us to enjoy our stay and everyone appeared genuinely happy to be there. The activities and entertainment were amazing. The food was exceptional always. Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Now Jade experience

The resort was good. I had to change my room as I was facing a swamp and it smelled really bad. They changed my room after few calls but it was a hassle. Overall the food was OK nothing spectacular. The staff truly tried to provide good service. They did not let my 15 year old son to a restaurant becasue he did not have long pants. Overall I had a good time.

Resort was amazing, food was great...beach very rocky. *Jorge at bar was amazing. *Cynthia and Daniel at Preferred Club were amazing. Not sure the Preferred is worth it as our friends were staying in the main building and they got everything we did....first night we ordered a bottle of wine for our room, they charged us for it. My friend got a bottle of wine in her fridge.

The Now Onyx is a great resort that needs a few tweaks to make it an excellent resort. This was expected due to being a newer resort. There is plenty to due at the resort with the hotel staff having something going on all day long. You couldn't ask for a friendlier staff and house keeping was very accommodating always doing little things to keep us happy. Food was great, and staff always made sure you had a drink in your hand around the pool or at the beach. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Now Onyx Punta Cana - Nice property but, past that good luck!

We vacationed at Now Onyx in Punta Cana from December 9th - 15th. Lost a day because of Air Canada (not weather related) that is another story. Yes, Now Onyx greet you with a welcome drink and a wet cloth and you think it is great ..........this is where it stops. First of all the property is lovely. The Service is very disorganized and poorly managed. One of the biggest complaints we have is the filming of promos for their resort on our paid holiday. We were instructed to not use the  [... read more]beach until 10:30 AM, to not use the pool another day until 12:00 Noon. Could not use the main lobby bar at 7:00 PM before dinner another day, in other words filming each day at various places with many interruptions during our 6 day vacation. Rooms were nice but, absolutely non consistence service. Many days without even cleaning the room, let alone replacement of towels or face clothes, soap etc. We had to repeatedly ask for soap, towels etc. Not once did they even clean the tub on the balcony even thought we asked at least 5 times.............filled with insects etc. We gave up. They shower leaked into the bedroom and toilet area, fan in the room was making a racket every time you turned it on. They did try to fix it. The safe in the room did not work , that too had to be fixed. I guess this list could go on and on. Food was just acceptable. We have travelled to Dominican about 9-10 times to various other resorts so, we were aware of what to expect . The service staff at the beach and the restaurants were trying their best but, English was certainly not part of their training. Yes, we have been to many places in Cuba, Dominican, Mexico etc and we understand that English is not their first language. However, here very few understood enough English to allow basic communication. There are two resort both owned by the same company, Breathless next door. Since their resort was full, many from that resort came to Now Onyx taking up the limited number of umbrellas for shade at the pool and other areas. It could be the issues experienced related to the fact that is was a relatively new resort that said, I doubt we would be going back anytime soon.

First off one negative thing was, Air Canada & Trip Central did not have have us registered for our arrival time to the The Resort. There was nothing showing that we were arriving on November 26,2016. We physically had to show them all our documentation to prove we belonged there, have never had this happen ever. We had to fill out paperwork and then were told not to leave the courtyard/lobby area until they worked this out. After speaking to 3 different people at the Conceirge Desk we finally got our room after almost 6 hours of waiting which was about 5:45pm we were taken to our room. This was a huge inconvenience as I am handicap and and can't stand or sit around for long periods of time. We know issues happen but we had booked this trip many months before hand. This is the soul responsibility of Air Canada/Trip Central to make sure that they have booked you in on the proper dates, we are still terribly upset over this issue we lost 1/2 day of our vacation because of this. Other than that there is not a bad word to say about this Resort, everything was accessible. Plenty of food, drinks, all areas are clean and tidy. Staff is amazing and so helpful. 2nd time visiting this resort in 6 years and yes things have changed but we found some of our old friends which was amazing, we just wanted to thank Henry, Luis, Luis and Ana for making our stay that much better, everyone is so accommodating, friendly and go that extra little bit to make sure your ok. The Entertainment Staff were just great we had so much fun, Big Poppa you put a huge smile on our faces everyday and kept everyone in shape with your aerobics LOL. Thank you We will be going back for sure next year these people make the Resort great and should be commended for going that little extra, they work extremely hard and long hours to make your vacation a memorable one, don't forget to thank them, we miss our Dominician Friends very much, Thank you and Merry Christmas

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great resort despite narrow beach

Location - Its close enough to the airport for taxi cost about $30 US one way. Food - Restaurants were all very good, especially the surf and turf special at the french rest. Pools - The resort was very full in the first week of december and pool side lounge chairs were hard to get if you weren't up early on the 'family side". The preferred side has an adults only pool where lounge chairs were much easier to get. Staff - All staff were friendly and courteous and genuinely appreciative whe [... read more]n tipped. Rooms - were spacious and very clean (oceanview - non-preferred side) . The beds were very comfortable. Friends had a preferred room with balcony jacuzzi. This room was very large, with nicer ammenities and also very clean. Booking tip - Book preferred when you book your vacation on line when its only a few bucks more than non preferred. If you wait until at the resort check-in desk to upgrade to preferred... its around $400 more for the week and too expensive. If crowded, you'll want access to the preferred pool and the rooms are very nice. I noticed when booking that some preferred rooms were actually cheaper than non-preferred on trip central. Wish I had booked preferred then. The entertainmnet was was as good as it gets in the Mayan. In my mind, this is a four and half to five star resort but the narrow beach took away from the quality of walks that could have made my holiday much more enjoybale. They work hard to remove the smelly seaweed every day. Too Bad there isn't enough beach for beach volleyball and other activities ... but they played volleyball on the roof on a tennis court. I was told that recent stormy weather caused the beach to become narrower than it once was.

Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Five Stars and the 28 people I went with I believe would agree

The Jade Riviera Cancun is a beautiful resort. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good restaurants and no problems. Lots to do on site and the concierge was super helpful with off-site entertainment, eg golf, snorkeling trips and excursions to Playa Del Carmen etc. I only wish I could stay longer.
