Pullman in Cayo Coco - Amazing resort

Just returned after a week (Feb 17-24) at Pullman in Cayo Coco. This was our second visit there and it will NOT be our last. We reached the hotel around noon and our room was ready earlier than the 3 pm time given. The room was very clean and well stocked. We got a hand written welcome note from the GM Jean Lue Grossin. We did not expect this. We went back to the Pullman because the food was very good. This time around, the food was even better. No complaints there! A special shout out to: Adrian, AA, Betty, Genie, Baby Jr, Richard (he remembered us from our previous visit 2 years ago) and Chico. A special mention to Yelanis at El Carey dining room as well as the lady at the Cuban restaurant (she used to be at the lobby bar few years ago). The acknowledgements will not be complete without a mention of the very efficient individuals at the Lobby Bar - Edgar, Antonio, Riggler, Yaddiel and Ebert. The staff at all the restaurants were very courteous and pleasing. A special mention about Felix at the Japanese restaurant. The entertainment provided by the professionals every night at the amphitheater was something we looked forward to. It is the best in the Caribbean! We loved our stay at Pullman and will most certainly be going back next year (normally we head out to Palladium, Punta Cana but not so next year). Keep up the great work guys and see you soon!! Outstanding resort

Very clean, staff friendly and helpful, night life good if I would have one thing to say is that they should put a bit more variety in their shows to much dancing . Beach beautiful lots of space. A la carte restaurant were all very good.

3-star at best

ROOM - ceiling fan didn't work - shower drain didn't drain properly...ended up standing in a pool of water - no screens on balcony doors...so if you want fresh air and ocean breezes you risk letting the mosquitoes in - mattresses were very uncomfortable POOLS - too cold (unheated)...I went in twice the entire trip - pool deck and pool bottom are VERY slippery FOOD - you have to stand in line and wait for anything tasty - bring your own chocolate...the desserts are waxy and bland - [... read more] too many canned/processed meats and mystery salads - everything cooked with water smells and tastes funny - finding anything tasty to drink that doesn't contain sugar or alcohol can be a challenge HOTEL - the usual Cuban set up...some employees are helpful, most are uninterested in doing anything other than the bare minimum - room decor is up to date, rest of the hotel is showing its age - very noisy; the PA system at the main pools blasts music and the dance instructors' voices loud enough to be heard all over the resort - there's a rooster that starts crowing around 5AM - the groundskeepers sometimes fire up the gas-powered trimmers around 8AM - honking horns from the cars at La Collection buildings and delivery trucks...all hours of the night Even by Cuban standards, this is not a 4-star hotel.

The people you meet make yor trip!

I have been travelling yearly for about 10 yrs this resort was very nice, lots to do the beach was amazing the pools were clean the food in the A la Carte's was very nice the buffet was pretty good. Our room was lovely no issue's. We were hoping for some help with our bags when departing which was left up to gardener who offered to help 2 struggling ladies and a nice gentleman who helped us further at the resort when the elevator wasn't working. Amazing Resort

We have been to other resorts in Cayo Coco before and this was our first time to Pullman. We enjoyed our stay here. The facility and hotel room was very good, the food was excellent and the entertainment was the best we ever experienced.

Beautiful Resort

The Pullman is a beautiful resort , the rooms were nice clean and comfortable, The restaurants we dined at food was fantastic our favourite was lunch at the beach grill , all staff were amazing , always smiling and friendly gorgeous beach,

Beautiful resort but prefer Melia

The Pullman Cayo Coco is newer and more modern than other resorts on the island. The rooms are pretty, the bathrooms are clean and not run down. As vegans, we found the food in the buffet pretty bad and really lacking in options. They managed to put ham in just about everything. There are multiple pools, but they're mostly wading pools. The beach is beautiful and they own a huge stretch of it. No problems finding chairs or palapas anytime of day. If you aren't traveling with kids, though, I would recommend the adults-only Melia Cayo Coco next door. The amount of shrieking, crying, wailing kids at the Pullman was pretty annoying. Melia is also smaller and friendlier. I didn't find most of the staff particularly friendly at Pullman. At Melia, I made many friends among the staff and even walked next door from Pullman to visit them. I'll choose Melia again next time over Pullman.

Great vacation!

Loved the resort, people, food! Nicest resort we have traveled to in all the years that we have vacationed in Cuba! We have previously traveled all over Cuba. Cayo Coco is the most beautiful beach on the island. It is extra pleasant t because there are few if any American tourists there

Great Resort

My daughter and I went to Pullman to have a relaxing time and what we found was a lot of fun and laughter. I was amazed to see the pool boys out at 7:00 am every morning cleaning down the walkways and pools. The grounds are very well maintained and our rooms were always swept and cleaned. The entertainers were very friendly and full of high energy. The games were simple but challenging which had everyone laughing. The evening entertainment was excellent and the theater is large. The beach [... read more] is well groomed and there are plenty of chairs and areas to escape the sun. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite and we had no problem with the food. We found plenty of selection. My only suggestion is to bring some Hot Sauce and Ketchup if you want to add extra flavor. The managers and their assistants are very approachable and the drinks offer a good selection. The Lobby is bright and white and every evening there is plenty of music to entertain you. Overall, our experience was excellent. We are definitely going back. We also had the privilege to meet the Development Manager who informed us that they are on the final stages of designing a new, larger, kids club which will bring even more satisfaction to families. But I don't want to give all the secrets away. For this one we will all have to wait to see. Honestly, I didn't come across any unhappy families, everyone appeared to enjoy their stay. I give Pullman a 5/5 for Cuban Standards. Oh, yes...it also offers great massage & exercise facilities, hair and nails and windsurfing. What more do you want.

Ok vacation

Hotel was fine but seemed older than 4 years old. We had requested a ground floor room because my wife had knee surgery not long ago. But got on the 3 floor room with no elevators and no hall lights. We we asked for a different room they accommodated well. But no elevator is a problem. There also is an issue from the lobby to the pool level. Again a long flight of stairs. The very small elevator worked about half the time at best. Families with strollers struggled as did seniors. Lots of seating [... read more] around the pool and at the beach. Food was good but not great. Beach front was great. Over all ok place but have stayed at comparable resorts for less money.

Nice friendly resort

Disappointing in the room, no elevators in the hotel. Room smelled musky. Meals were good but cold from the buffet. Very seldom hot. Do not pay extra for partial ocean view room not worth it, disappointing.

Nice Lay out.

The food was very ordinary, to much the same every day, No hot water for 2 days at our Building. The shower drain not very good. only 1 elevator only worked some time not good for handicap people. the show started late every night. No place to go. Nice pool area nice beach only every day when you wants a beach chair the guy wanted money.

Great time in Pullman

great restort had lots of fun buffet was good not enjoyable had to stand and wait in lineups for meat - the service was good and bad the bell boys at the end of our trip were rude we called 3 times for them to come and get our bags and they never showed and when we stuggled down 3 floors and the gardern helped us with them the bell boys were standing around doing nothing assholes. other than that great time with a great friend.

Exceeded expectations!

I was traveling with my cousin and best friend, looking for a temporary escape from reality. This was the absolute perfect setting for just that. A week filled with sunshine, beautiful beaches, the most kind hearted people, unparalleled hospitality and total relaxation. The lobby in itself is spectacular...large open concept style over looking the entire resort. Very clean rooms, great facilities and a plethora of evening entertainment. Already planning our trip back next year!

Small, friendly and just right!

The resort was small but lovely, the food was great, the pools and the beach were awesome! But the people, they were absolutely amazing! We greatly enjoyed our first family trip to Cuba! The kids had a blast. We didn’t access the mini club, but we went every night to the mini disco and they loved it. The staff, entertainment, servers, everyone who worked there were fantastic!!!!

Great experience

grounds and all are as nice and good as Cuba can offer. Food was good but similar everyday. A la carte restaurants were there to help. Great beach and water! Get to Pillar beach - it does worth the trip!

Amazing!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this resort. Its beautiful and they aim to please. If you pay attention there are small touches that you would never receive from other hotels. We went with our 10 month old which is an excursion in its self but we are so happy we chose the Pullman. For some having a baby naps really put you on a schedule so the dinner buffet starting 630pm was a hustle for us. We do plan to return.

Excellent resort!

It was our first visit to Cuba and we certainly lucked out choosing this resort. The beach was perfect and the service excellent. The lobby was large and spacious with a 24/7 bar that was kind of the hub of activity throughout the week. And there was plenty of activity both in the lobby area as well as the pool area. The one thing we were expecting to be subpar was the food given other reviews we'd seen of Cuba, but it wasn't bad at all. The buffet was a little "samey" after a few days, but they [... read more] had pre-booked us for the last three evenings in the a la carte restaurants and the food in those was very good! Our room overlooked a lagoon (facing away from the ocean), which meant our view wasn't spectacular, but it was very private and quiet. I don't think I've ever been as relaxed as I was during our week here. We will most certainly be back!

Relaxing in the sun

Beautiful beach! This is a great all inclusive choice the entertainment team is great. The food is quite good with the stations cooking fresh fish or meat being worth the wait. Typically you would wait 5 to 10 minutes for fresh cooked meat or fish. There is no splash pad or water playground but there are shallow pools for the kids. My two under seven were happy to splash around the pools. First time to Cuba will likely be back. Most of the amenities are in decent shape. The resort is in good condition with some areas showing some wear. It is modern looking hotel. Recommend a visit.

Excellent vacation

It was our second stay in this hotel, and we loved it both times. We were in the Collection section, and everything was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, service quick, beach clean and spacious. The only suggestion that I would make is to have more vegetarian or fruit-and-vegetable options in the Collection's restaurants, Le Gourmet and snack-bar. We are not vegetarians but eat a lot fresh fruit and vegetables, so we had to go to the main hotel's restaurant for lunch, while we would gladly [... read more] eat in the Collection's snack-bar. To have an option of having a simple fresh vegetable salad as entree or main dish (greek or tomatoes/cucumber salad would suffice) and seasonal fruit plate as a desert for lunch and dinner would be great.
