Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Jungle and fun

2nd visit. Eco-Superior family room. Hotel is a good place to explore and enjoy with the family in general. Animals abound, Coaties, Monkeys, birds all provide fun things to see. The Cenotes are nice. Kids club and waterpark are decent. The Beach is fine for Mexico. If it's rainy there is not much to do as most of the resort is outdoors or open air. Our ground floor room flooded a bit because of a night of rain. Annoying but the front desk moved our family the next day which is good. Unfortunate [... read more]ly you know they know that some (only some I presume) ground floor rooms are susceptible to flooding but they still put families in them... So that's not good practice. Be wary. Also our late check-out request was denied so our family of 4 were homeless for half a day before our late flight departed. That's not good. So the food is good and when the weather is nice the events, shows, and walking paths are awesome. But... Even in Mid November when it's not that busy of a place a few hiccups occurred which is..not great at all. Overall, our second visit was...ok, definitely were not treated as well as we were on our first visit, we will go somewhere else next time for sure.

Sandos Cancun: Good Relaxing Trip

Good resort if you do not plan to stay in your room much. The room is more of a 3star rating. Beds,blankets,washroom needs upgrading. Doors for the balcony needs upgrading. No chairs on the belcony. The resorts next door block the sun over the pools so it can get cool early. Not a kids friendly resort. These are my only complaints of this resort. Good Entertainment each night. Good food. You can always find food to eat through out the night.

Just got back and had a great time! Wonderful food and the best atmosphere. Hard to pick any faults. Every person who works here is quite lovely. Watch out for the timeshare guys in the main building. Big time waster. Avoid them and all is great.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Overall a descent family resort

Pros: my “tween” kids had a great time, especially with the animals and sports bar tables. The food and the room was basically good and in line with my experiences from other resorts. Cons: the evening entertainment was insanely loud. Our original room was the closest possible to the theater and on our first exhausted night it seemed 11:00 pm would never come until it was quiet. My request to move the next morning was supposed to be put off for 2 more nights. I endured one more night and  [... read more]practically in tears that next morning begged to be moved immediately. Mercifully, we were moved to a much quieter location for the rest of the week. The drinks were ok and I never had a long line up at any bar. The beach was narrower than I expected, and too rough and rocky to expose the kids to snorkeling.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Amazing Hotel

The food was great, the grounds were kept very clean , staff was very nice and helpful. Always something to do , evening were always in party mood. We had a great experience at this hotel and would definitely recommend it

Sandos Cancun: Great staff, Great beaches, Great resort!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The Staff were always so nice and willing to help us enjoy our stay to the utmost. There was always one event or the other organized in the evenings to keep you well entertained, and the food was awesome too. There was a Japanese and an Italian restaurant with a la carte, as well as the regular restaurants with mexican style and international style food offerings. Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Week at Caracol

We recently spent a week at this great resort. Loved the jungle atmosphere and the many places to explore on the property. The entertainment quality was quite good for resort fare and there were enough included activities on the resort that we didn’t feel the need for any off resort excursions. Our goal was to relax and this was amply accomplished. Great service poolside and beachside (Select Club) with well poured drinks and a great variety of places to eat everyday. Our room was large and well appointed but a bit bland in decor- not a big deal since we didn’t spend much time in there except to sleep! We absolutely loved the many animal encounters we were able to have at the resort- they definitely made our week!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Resort!

The Sandos Caracol Eco Resort provided a great place for a vacation. We were in the Adults Only Select Club. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained- I would prefer a different shower head with a better spray but thats the only concern. Adult pool was well worth the extra money as well as the Adult a la carte Brazilian Restaurant-Vanessa, Enrique and Luis were great. Beach Club House was a great surprise. The ocean water access was rocky but beach was well maintained. Visited the Italian  [... read more]a la carte twice as it was great. Steak & Fish a la carte wonderful too! My biggest issue was the bugs! As its in a jungle area they were always present and were always hungry. Great free activities such as Eco Tour, cenote swim and animals. If it wasn't for the bugs I would go back again.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Resort

They hotel was great, friendly staff food was great. Beach area was ok a little rocky and some sea weed. The rooms where spacious and comfortable. The eco resort was great lots to do on the resort shows where entertaining. There are animals are all around which was cool. The resort was clean and well taken care off. We stayed in the adult section only complaint is they should accommodate a little more on this section. My overall review is 4 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend great for family's.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Worst Resort Ever

We were denied rooms together and our rooms were separated from two different floors. Foggy gray water spilled from our shower and our toilet was clogged for a whole night. We were not assisted even though we called numerous times! Last day we missed our bus because our room phone wasn't working. My husband had to run all the way to the reception centre to even tell the bell boy to get our luggage. We were forced to pay $100US because the bell boy didn't make the effort to stop the bus when we w [... read more]ere right on time! They didn't put our luggage in the bus either. Some of the food was terrible, some restaurants were 5 star while others were 1. Lastly, there were so many mosquitos that it was natural to be bit 5 times a lday. We have traveled over 20 vacations and this was by a lightyear, the worst resort ever. Sincerely, Lisa.

Sandos Cancun: Sandos was fantastic!

We traveled to Cancun for the first time and very happy that we chose Sandos! We had a 16-month old with us and although the hotel was not really a kid/family hotel - it was great! Our little one and us enjoyed the pool area with the ocean view and nice sun tents as well as a nice beach and a beautiful blue ocean. The staff was providing a high quality service and accommodated all our requests, including the crib for the baby and daily milk supply for his bottles. And everybody around really  [... read more]seemed to love our baby - it was very тшсую The minor complaint we had was that we constantly had to ask to bring the water bottles to our room as they were forgetting to leave them when the room was getting cleaned and we needed at least 3-4 bottles every day to wash baby's bottles and also just stay hydrated. The weather was great, no hurricanes - just a couple of rains here and there. If you want to have a blast at Sandos - get a room with a balcony. We enjoyed having coffee and snacks from the room service that was operating 24 hours, and watch sunrise and a beautiful night views from our room once we did an upgrade for the balcony.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Welcome to the jungle

Lots of wild animals, bugs and birds at this resort. There is always lots to do. I recommend the adults only section or upgrade to the elite section.. lots of walking. Food was great. Staff isn’t overly friendly but ok. Housekeeping sucks and the bell boys are no help.. good resort for the price

Just came back from this beautiful hotel dont have any negatives to say ..we were a family of 6 and all of us missed to be there already....room was so perfect we bought the standard room but when we get there we got upgrate for free..lots animals, the nite shows wonderful..food was ok..people always there to help u in case u need it..so many activities to do for free dont need do go out of the hotel to have a blast..

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Phenomenal Resort! You have to go!!

The resort was amazing! Sandos Caracol has been by far one of the best resorts I have been too. There are loads of activities to do, such as swim in the multiple cenotes they have, go to the aqua park (fit for all ages), stuff your self in the restaurants and buffets, have a relaxing day at the spa, and snorkel all day in the ocean. My favourite restaurant was the Japanese restaurant, it was absolutely delicious! Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: Family Vacation with a baby

First impression was wow, what a beautiful resort, last impression was WOW what an amazing experience to have stayed here with my family. We went as a family of 5, an 11 and 15 year old, parents plus a 9 month old baby. Coming from Canada I brought all jarred/pouch foods for the baby (didn't want to take my chances with getting a baby sick). Hotel room: Ocean view, water cooler, mini fridge, one double bed, one king size, hotel provided playpen for baby. The number 3 pool (kids/all age pool) which is right below, has the water volleyball net, it's large,very accommodating and it's a relief not to have the big pool parties and women in g-strings biquínis all around the kids and husband,this is very much a family resort. Shout out to Elizabeth at the #3 pool, who was beyond friendly and such a sweetheart, she made us feel at home, we loved her! Restaurants: It was beautifully refreshing to find out that we did not have to make reservations for the a'la cart restaurants, we always got in, had no issues with waiting at all, somehow every single restaurant at the hotel was ready to serve and ready with a table for us. Maybe because this is considered a luxury hotel not as many guests maybe attend I'm not too sure? But we got sat right away in all of the places we chose to go to. Most of the restaurants are at level seven and the elevators were always working to take us upstairs and down. Emiliano's is an a'la cart restaurant and you have got to try the steak filet mignon! CUPCAKE CAFE was a major hit with my kids, delicious cupcakes sweets and drinks and coffee made for you all day long into the night. Don Diego is the buffet and even though they have a theme night each night, it's pretty repetitive for breakfast, lunch and dinners by our 7th day we were pretty much sick of the foods, even though it was all delicious, just very repetitive. also if you're expecting to go there and eat Mexican food you have to leave the hotel, they cater to the gringos and it's hard to find traditional Mexican cuisine at the hotel besides the tacos and nachos. DRINKS: the bartenders and waiters do try to push you with a wine list which is the only thing you have to pay for at the hotel, my husband and I figured that all of the liquor has been watered down, 100% everything tastes very syrupy and not alcoholic at all by the end all of the drinks pretty much started to taste like water with a little hint of alcohol in it, we did not get a buzz a single day not for the lack of trying! heehee BEACH: White Sands and beautiful beaches but not swimmable at all the oceans waves are amazing to see but you're not allowed to even to put your foot in the water it's very rough for sure. STAFF: 0 COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE STAFF, EVERYONE FROM THE LOBBY TO THE CONCIERGE, TO THE WAITERS TO THE SERVERS, EVERYBODY WAS VERY WELCOMING, VERY CARING OF COURSE THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO RECEIVE A MUCH DESERVED TO TIP. Hotel views and location: the hotel is located right across from the marina which is also where the beautiful Dolphins reside along with restaurants and very close walkable distance to downtown. The panoramic views of the Marina and the beach from the above of the hotel is just divine and they do have a night shows every night but we missed all of the shows as we had a little baby with us we would just go to the room early. I also heard that the adult nightclub becomes really happening at night until 2 in the morning! Overall we very much recommend this hotel, enjoy!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Fantastic Activities on the Resort

Because this was an eco resort, the grounds were very interesting as you were surrounded by many friendly animals! This resort is pretty large in size and offers a bunch of activities for guests of all ages. For starters, there are several pools on site, but my personal favourite was the main pool where most of the excitement happened. Sandos Caracol has an amazing entertainment team who host activities such as Zumba and aqua aerobics in the morning, to crazy games the pool, beach soccer, and be [... read more]ach volleyball in the afternoon, and finally fun shows to watch and dancing in the evenings. There is always something going on at this resort and I encourage everyone to participate in a lot of them! Asides from the entertainment staff's activates, there is a spa & gym, tennis courts, ping pong tables, a kid's club, bike trails, cenotes that you can snorkel in for free, and a petting zoo. The resort also offers several restaurants to eat at along with bars located all over the grounds if you want to grab a drink. The room I stayed in was quite modern and always kept clean by the maid who was quick and super efficient at her job. Overall, I loved my stay at the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and Spa and I am already looking into booking another trip back there!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Family Resort!

We originally booked the standard room but when we arrived at check in we upgraded to the Eco Family Superior room. The Eco Family room is spacious with bunk beds which the kids loved. These rooms were also newly renovated and closer to all the amenities (ie pool, restaurants). I recommend the Eco Room over the standard because you get wifi, 24hr room service,and its closer to all the facilities. We were disappointed that we were not able to swim in the beach, there was alot of seaweed on the shore and water. The food and customer service was average but overall we enjoyed this trip.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Awesome resort

Hotel overall was good, we were there for a wedding and surprising the wedding was very professional and very beautiful. Food was great, pools were good, rooms, bars, restaurants all good as well. Staff was very good, lacking in English but still very pleasant. We made the best of the beach and found spots where we could go in the water but don’t expect much from the beach. The Eco aspect of the resort is really cool and there are a number of free activities to help explore the nature. One ne [... read more]gative is the restaurants do not have air conditioning which made it uncomfortable at dinners. I would recommend the resort and would go back.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Sandos Caracoal is AMAZING

People were fantastic. We picked this resort because we love animals. We saw absolutely everything.. from monkeys on our plrch to iguanas. The food was awesome with lots to choose from. We would def cone back to Sandos :) thanks julia and maya for all your help !!!

The hotel was amazing, and the staff were so helpful. The food for dinner was great with lots of restaurant choices, however lunch and breakfast were more of the same. Beach was rocky but still beautiful!
