Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great resort for the price

I’ve been to this resort 3 times now and would definitely recommend it. I love how there is two pools because one is more party ish and the other is more chill so it is nice to have the choice. The beach is very close and there are plenty of chairs to go around. The food is decent, I’ve never gotten sick or heard of anyone getting sick from the food there. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. One down side is that check in was extremely slow this last time I went. Brisas Guardalavaca: Love, love, love Brisas!

We stayed from April 29-May 6 at Brisas. This is my 6th time to Cuba, but first time in Holguin or brisas. Myself, husband, and two sons aged 14 and 11 stayed in the villas. We really enjoyed our stay and one thing I have to say about the resort is how CLEAN it is. Food, entertainment, pools, beaches, staff, villas, everything was wonderful. I give it a solid 4.5/5 We can’t wait to return! Thank you brisas !

Brisas Guardalavaca: Keep a close eye on your luggage! :(

Hotel is lovely, but watch your bags! After checking in, a man (who we later discovered was Service Staff) 'helped' us with one of our suitcases....he then disappeared with it. :( Unfortunately it contained very special jewelry that my daughter had given me for Christmas. :(

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Love this resort!

The grounds are beautiful and very well groomed. Mature palm trees and flowering shrubs everywhere. The beach has gorgeous white sand. If you enjoy snorkeling there is a coral reef a short swim away.The food was great, especially at the A la Carte restaurants. We had breakfast every morning overlooking the beach in a quiet outdoor eating area. The rooms are nice and clean. The only complaint we had is the air conditioning wasn't working the best. Still a great experience.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Great place

Brisas is a great place to relax and enjoy your vacation. The people are very helpful and kind. They will go out of there way to help you. The rooms are being up dated slowly but all you do is sleep in them anyways as the pool and beach is where you spend most of the day. My 10th time staying there and would go back again tomorrow but I will have to wait till next year. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful Beach!

I just returned from spending 9 days at Paradisus and it was a really good vacation. I went solo (in a resort of mostly couples) and never once felt unsafe as a single woman there. The average age of people staying here was about 45-55 (I'm 51), so although it's not the place to come for Spring Break or if you're looking to party all night, it's PERFECT for relaxing on the gorgeous beaches and getting pampered by the friendly staff!

Playa Costa Verde: Crab Week!

I’ve been to Cuba more than 10 times, this resort once prior, and all south about 14 times and somehow I had never heard of the annual migration of the land crabs! The week we were on the resort, it was the babies (and parents?) returning to the forest following the time of migration of the crabs from the forest to give birth in the ocean. There were thousands on the move away from the ocean. It didn’t really bother us vacationers, you just had to watch where you walked. Two of the fours ro [... read more]oms we occupied on the main floors filled with crabs due to the gap in the room doors, about 30 in total, no exaggeration, they counted each time they entered their rooms. The staffs reaction was to laugh and say that we were in their (the crabs) land. I’m sorry but no one wants to have an investation in their rooms. My family were literally were shaking them out of their curtains, sweeping them from washrooms and under beds. The affected people requested to move rooms and were told no availability. For days my family resorted to stuffing towels under their doors and coming and going through their patio doors. After about three days, the crabs were down to a trickle. The other two rooms only had a few but the entry ways were a gauntlet to be ran when you went back to your room. I do fault the hotel for their complete lack of empathy re my family’s and other guests situation. We did still enjoy most of our vacation, the food, beach, pool were good.

Playa Costa Verde: I keep coming back here !

Still the best resort I’ve been to as I have tried many and no place has the convenience of restaurants and facilities like Costa Verde ! Amenities are all a short walk , grounds are beautiful and the staff are just wonderful

Playa Costa Verde: Superb!

This resort is my new favourite! The room, food, staff, service, beach, pool, bartenders, cleanliness and grounds were all amazing! I have been to Cuba a dozen times, Dominican and Jamaica. Playa Costa verde will be My return spot for my future travel. Already planning a group trip for October. Thank you Playa Costa Verde for making it the perfect vacation destination.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: ALOT BETTER then I expected for a 3 star

It was ALOT better then I expected for a 3 star. In Cuba usually the food is ...... but I must say that for a picky eater my plates were always full, and eatable. I was also expecting the rooms to be so so. There again they got me, redone bathroom with hot water. Beds were hard. Stayed in the tropical section main hotel. Sol Turquesa Beach: Nice Resort /However

The resort was lovely,grounds,lots of greenery,the pools were amazing. However the staff were not as friendly as I thought they should be.I realize they are going into there slow season and was told alot of the staff are gone ,but a few smiles would go along way. We had a day where we didn't have any water at all,so there was no flushing of toilets and all the public washrooms were gross.They did however provide extra drinking water for the day. The entertainment was cheesy. The food was th [... read more]e worst.I have been to 3 other resorts in Cuba in the past year and this place had to be the worst, stale bread,not much selection of anything.The alacart were always out of alot of there main items. I will not be returning!! Time to try a different island.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Great Trip

We had our first all inclusive trip about 16 years ago and Brisas Guardalavaca was where we went we loved it so much we returned 9 more times ,had not returned for 10 years this year we decided to go back to Brisas and are so glad we did ,it is a very well kept resort the rooms are in some need of updates but really how much time when you are in such a beautiful country with great weather are you going to spend in your room.But lets face it the reason for going to Cuba is the friendliness of th [... read more]e Cuban people they are always smiling and so willing to help you.It is because of them why people return so many times to Cuba.

Sol Turquesa Beach: A Relaxing Vacation

The beach had a bit of seaweed and some hard rocks but we made due. Great service, friendly staff. Power flickered a few times, had a few bugs in our room but it was fine. The food wasn't amazing but it was okay, lots of fresh fruit and great service in the dining hall.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Fantastic Experience!!!

So many different areas within the resort to explore! The pools (4) were a perfect temperature and very clear. The hotel rooms were also very impressive... Newly renovated and very clean! The beach had an amazing view with fun entertainment everywhere you turned!

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Wonderful vacation spot!

Just returned on April 27th, 2018 from a week's stay at the Sol Rio de Luna y Mares Resort, and we loved every minute of it! As most reviews mentioned, the resort is an older one and they have just begun the renovation process, which, we were told would take apx. 3 years to complete. The rooms were dated, had some wear and tear, but always kept clean. The staff was always friendly, courteous and smiling, ready to help. You can even snorkel right off the beach on the right hand side, next to the Paradisus Rio de Oro Resort. The food at the buffet was plentiful and tasty, with enough choices to satisfy any hungry guest. The grounds are also worth mentioning, as they have mature trees and various plants, which add to the beauty of the place. Would not hesitate to return to this resort!

The grounds are beautifully maintained...congratulations to the groundskeepers. Would love a list of the plants/trees online so that I can check on ones we were interested in. However, I was extremely surprised that we got a call from the service desk to see how I was feeling. Kudos! We would return once we are able, but would look to book at a cooler time of year. The staff were kind, pleasant and helpful. The Japanese restaurant is beautifully decorated. Can you please review the sauce, etc that is used, as it is overpowering - especially on the shrimp, which needs nothing more than butter and lemon. Too many mixed flavours. Separately I head this from others also. The beds were made each day...to perfection! We were highly recommended by Vaughan Wilcox, who is arriving there soon. I am sure there is lots more, that is mainly very positive.

Playa Costa Verde: Thirty visits and still return!

A home away from home. We have been at this resort so many times, we now consider the staff our family. It is safe, clean and a beautiful location. Best beach for swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and sailing. The pools are clean and the property is lush. The last year, the staff and management have made many impressive, the new lobby bar, the cigar bar, all new mattresses. The restaurants are great, housekeeping staff are wonderful. Sol Turquesa Beach: Great place!

Food was great with lots of options everyday. Room was very clean with a comfy king bed. There was a leak in the wall but only because we experienced some heavy thunder showers at night. Beautiful beach and great people working there!

Yes grands public aria to much people dining room not to much food always miss the dishes but the worker is good people the bar and cafe bar is clean but close before 22h sink bar is ok but always one gays is work there and to much clint so for next time I chose memory’s hotel whit my Friend and Family
