Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo, Cuba
My husband and I went to the Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo, in Cuba, for one week. When you get there you are asked to make a deposit on your pool towels, which you will get back when you leave. We found the staff to be quite friendly. The resort and our room was kept tidy and clean. Toilet paper is hard to come by here, try not to use too much too fast. When our room towels were dirty we put them in a pile on the bathroom floor and they were replaced with new ones. If you replace them in the towe [... read more]
Hotel Playa Coco: the beach was amazing!!!
The only complaint l have is that our room was very musty smelling. Also the bathroom toilet did not always work. The food was good. The Japanese restaurant was our favourite al a carte. We also enjoyed the beer house but it was hard to tell if it was opened. The pools were nice and clean but they ran out of beer at the quiet pool. l guess they want to keep it quiet. The buffet was small but very good. Had lots of fish, chicken and pork.. Wine was served with meals. The staff was friendly and hel [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Good value for your money
The hotel is small enough, convenient to walk between different restaurants and facilities. The beach is amazing, with clean white sand and turquoise water. Staff everywhere are respectful, provide amazing services; an attestation to hotel management. Restaurants' food are average compared to other Caribbean islands, but the cook-to-order seafood/meat section in the buffet restaurant is tasty. Theater entertainment shows are above average, but the main lobby live Jazz show is excellent! Lunch [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: Great Time Gran Imperial
We wanted a quite time to rest, relax and just enjoy a good book, sun and sand, and we did at Gran Imperial The grounds, the public areas and rooms were very clean. The pool and swim up bars were great. Jessicia, made great strong drinks, Giobany were very helpful in the gym, very friendly staff. The only thing that I found was the beach area was a bit small however ten minutes down the street was a nice bigger beach you could go to spend the day, however you had to pay for food and chairs [... read more]
Melia Costa Rey: Not so great
This hotel has gone downhill in the last 2 years,it was our second trip, the grounds, beach and pools nice but service lacking in all areas, room cards did not work for 3 days, needed an escort to take you in when needed, ridiculous and no one could fix, buffet was not good and restaurants were just ok,i will not return
Hotel Playa Coco: Hotel Playa Cayo Coco, Cuba
The grounds were really well kept. The beach was spectacular. The aLa Cartes were very good as well as the buffet. They had game rooms and playgrounds for the kids ( big and small) Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing was did not have hot water everyday , but I prefer cool when it’s hot outside anyways.
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful friendly resort
Well kept grounds with friendly staff. Wonderful beach for great walks. A terrific little coffee bar that serves the best coffee.Lots to do or not do your choice. All of the staff were extremely helpful and were happy too help if you had any questions.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Had a great week at Memories Flamenco, Cayo Coco
Loved the beach, excellent staff on the beach got our beach chairs each morning. They were friendly and courteous, remembering us from one day to the next. Loved the food and although we did not try the a la cartes, had many great meals in the main dining room
Gran Muthu Imperial: Great Adults Resort
We chose this resort because it was an adults only and it was relatively new...a year old. I was travelling with family and we were not disappointed. It certainly met my expectations in terms of food, service, amenities, friendliness and entertainment. We really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants, especially the International. We are beach people and we went to the beach every day. There was never a shortage of loungers and they are very comfortable. The beach bar was very accessible and there w [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: Not quite as advertised
Hotel was reasonably clean. They need to hire a maintenance person with a square & a level to actually get the showers working properly- doors are visibly out of line & don’t seal. Sunwing ad indicates unlimited a la carted -reality is 3. At check in told we would receive 1 water &1 beer per day - would have to pay extra for more- every other resort I have stayed at (7) provides 2 beer , 2 sofa & water daily. In my 7 day stay received 1 beer & 1 juice box.Buffet - although food was reasonably [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: Perfect trip!
This was my first trip to Cuba and I was very hesitant. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my vacations and food. However I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay here. Only 45 min drive from airport. Once we arrived there was a mix up with our room. We had booked ocean view and were given garden. They assured us an ocean view next day and sent us someone to help move all our luggage. Our air-conditioning wasn't working but they sent someone immediately and fixed it. The resort itself [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Fantastic. Great Week. Loved it.
I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were helpful and courteous. The grounds were well kept. The rooms were very clean. Food was good and I ate what I liked. Line-ups, but that o.k. the staff work very hard and can only try to keep up. Maybe add extra staff. I liked the decor and lobby along with the colors, but the cushions and pillows should be replaced with darker colors the stains are much more visible. The animators were just fantastic. Great dancers. ONE of my favor [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Cant wait to go back
Hotel, grounds, and Beach was great. Drinks were plentiful and easy to find. The food was ok for a buffet. The fruits and seafood were fresh. I would go back, just to learn to kite-board. The wind is onshore or cross-shore and conditions are usually good.
Melia Costa Rey: Resort Pullman
Hotel was awesome.Rooms very clean.Staff all very pleasant.Food was great.Ala carte restaurants was awesome.Entertainment was great.pools and grounds keep very clean.Check in was very quick rooms we ready on arriving.
Gran Muthu Imperial: Good Resort
Very nice resort, nice beach and pool area, good service. Unfortunately had a power outage at 3:00 till 7:45 pm.no lights, running water and no coffee during that time. We got transferred to Gran Muthu Rainbow next door free of charge for the remainder of our stay.Brand new hotel with fantastic service and accommodations, would strongly recommend both,Denis
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Nice family resort
Place was nice. We always had a variety of food and did not miss out. However, not enough staff in buffet to supply all the guests. Always a line up morning, supper. One thing I would have to suggest is removing those disgusting place mats at the tables. The waiters only clean the tables and the mats are kept dirty. They look like they have never been washed. Rooms were well kept but paper does not flush and we missed hot water in the shower 2days. Kids zone ...must be completely disinfected. The [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: was not the best resort
We stayed in block 8 at the Memories Flamenco. The rooms are nice however, don't expect any hot or warm water after 4:30 pm right until morning aprox 6:30 a.m. The hotel ran out of ice everyday so warm alcohol unless you just drink beer, no slushy drinks or Pina Coladas. The grounds are well kept and the staff is great. The beds are as hard as a rock, and I got bites ,but I did not see any mosquitoes, so I'm not sure what they are :/ and I would rather leave it at that.
Melia Costa Rey: Pullman Cayo Coco
The Hotel was AMAZING, excellent entertainment. Food was average. Staff very professional and friendly. Our first time there. Definitely recommended! Beaches are beautiful in cayo coco. Did some day trips to Pillar beach, as we were told it’s the most beautiful beach in Cayo Coco Cuba.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Cuban resort
We had a good trip, but also ran into some health issues traveling with small children. We received excellent care at the On-site medical center. The bed, linens and room were comfortable. (Some people in our party had issues with toilet flushing properly- ours worked perfectly). The music played at the pool was too much, too loud for this 55yr old : high energy bass all day long (Until 5 pm) Airport transfers went well and is close by - Air Transat Flight was very comfortable. Hotel Mojito: Great resort
I enjoyed our stay at this resort the staff was very friendly. The rooms were quite nice and clean. The beach was gorgeous and lots of access to lounge chairs. They had good burgers and fries at the beach restaurant and yummy pizza at the 24 hour bar. Only 10-15 minutes from the airport.
