Occidental Tucancun: We had a great time!

We had a great time. Purchased an umbrella everyday for shade on the beach. We enjoyed ourselves. Our toilet did not flush , called maintenance each day.they came quickly. Food was good.we would go again.

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Amazing resort!!!

We were a party of four and just returned from a 7 day stay at the Hacienda side of the resort. We are very pleased with our stay and the resort exceeded our expectations based on some of the negative reviews. Our favourite breakfast was on the hacienda side Buffett where we received amazing service and delicious breakfasts. Our favourite a la carts was the French restaurant. Platinum Yucatan Princess: Very Nice Resort

Very clean resort , rooms and grounds . Staff very helpful always willing to help out. Plenty of chairs at the beach and pool. Lots of activities to do for all levels of fitness or just for fun. Only concern was that they sprayed a fog pesticide around the resort during dinner time. You could smell and taste it in the air.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Better than ever

We’ve been to Barcelo Riviera Maya previously and enjoyed it. This year has brought change in a Positive way. Lots of new activities at the Tropical Pool area. And the Buffet restaurants have Theme nights.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Nice resort

The grounds are kept neatly trimmed & watered. The hallways are scrubbed daily. Rooms are a good size; a/c worked well, good shower, lots of closet space. Seaweed is raked off the beach every morning Beach chairs are scarce some days as guests at the other hotels use the beach at the Maya Beach hotel…it’s the best beach. Service was not as good as in the least, nor were they as friendly. The pool we used occasionally was big, with shallower sections. They can get quite noisy as the day goes & more drinks are consumed! We prefer the beach/ocean. The a la carte that we tried were delicious! Highly recommend the seafood one. Book as soon as you can after arrival.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Amazing Resort

This hotel was awesome! Very clean, the best customer service and the food was delicious. There isn’t really a beach in the property. However, there is a public beach beside it. I prefer the pool and loved it. Everyday there were activities going on at the pool and every night there was entertainment. The staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. It was very close to the markets and bars etc. We were able to walk around each night with no worries.

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Very nice resort

Grounds were pretty cool. Lots of wildlife. Secret pool was awesome. Marcelino was the best bartender at the Secret Pool Bar. Food was okay. Breakfast was the best, especially at the Grand Azul. Sports Bar food was okay but the service could be improved. Room was a little dated but we don't go for just the room. If we had an issue it was dealt with. Beach wasn't as good as other resorts we've been to and not enough loungers.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: The whole holiday was amazing!!

This was undoubtedly thee best all inclusive resort we have ever stayed in. The food was amazing the hotel was amazing the staff was very helpful and courteous The Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo area was beautiful. Eden our travel agent went over and above to help us make this one of the best holidays we have ever had!!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Getting Better

Food and Internet have improved. Fridges in every room now. Booking restaurants still brutal. We were there for 8 nights in Feb. 2025. There were several toilet seats missing from the common bathrooms and not one was replaced in the 8 nights we were there. One would think if an employee removed it because it was broken then they would know to replace them. Takes about 2 minutes and a $19.95 toilet seat to do it.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Pool and Beach Chair Problem!

All chairs were gone very early. We were there 2 weeks Feb 8th to the 22 2025. The resort needs to fix the problem. The rest of the resort services were perfect. We enjoyed all 10 of our Ala carte dinners. Service was very good.

Allegro Cozumel: Terrific resort!

We truly enjoyed our time at Allegro Cozumel. All staff were so friendly, especially the staff at Santa Rosa (the premium level area). Premium was worth the extra money: rooms closer to the beach and away from noise of night theatre and disco, access to Santa Rosa where we ate breakfast and lunch many days (less selection than the bigger buffets but more than enough to suit us AND in an air conditioned building) and a nice private pool/beach area with bar service. We also played cards in the [... read more]re a couple of nights, with AC and bar service. Fast and easy check in and they'll assist with your a la carte bookings. Oriental restaurant was so fun, we went twice! Henri and Carlos made us specialty coffees in the main buffet at dinner and Henri also treated us to Bananas Foster...yummy! Grounds are very well kept, rooms are on the smaller side but ours was very clean, AC worked well and we always had hot water & good water pressure. They also made different towel art each day in our rooms. Buffet food was average and sometimes only warm vs. hot, but always left full. Different dinner themes each night. We tried all of the a la carte restaurants. Definitely the Oriental was our favourite, followed by the Mexican. The Italian was good as well. We booked this resort based on it being one of the only affordable options in Cozumel and we would definitely return. Had some concerns based on some reviews we read but we really had no issues at all. Its location is great with beautiful ocean views, beach and sunsets. We will go back for sure!

Riu Palace Baja California: Amazing View

The grounds were beautifully kept. The larger pools were cold but the swim up pools were warm. The staff were very attentive and welcoming at the restaurants and bars. The restaurants could have been better quality and the labelling of food on the buffets could have been better. The food on the hot buffet was not hot. The rooms were modern, clean and large. The balcony was large enough to have a mini clothes rack and table and two chairs - a great way to start and end the day -

Riu Flamingos: Very nice resort

The resort was very nice and spotlessly clean and the staff was lovely and friendly. However, It was a lot busier than resorts we have been to before and very crowded. A lot of families and kids, so very active and noisy. People were doing that annoying thing of putting towels on chairs early in the morning and then not using them. We saw a lot of people putting towels at the pool and at the beach and going between both. The beach is beautiful and easy to walk on. We did enjoy our stay there, but, would probably go somewhere quieter next time.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort! Will visit again

The resort was amazing! We loved the buffet restaurant, it bas everything you can imagine and the food was delicious. The staff worked really hard to keep the resort so clean. The beach was really nice, the sand was soft and it was quiet at the beach. The resort was a short drive from the airport. There is a water park, lazy river and other things the keep the kids entertained. The night show, especially the white night was a lot of fun! Will definitely go back!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: My new favourite resort!

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The natural surroundings are stunning; very clean and well kept. The attention to detail is noticeable. I loved the variety of tropical plants and there were so many birds and small animals. The food never disappointed, and the Smokehouse was our favourite by far. The staff were happy and nice to talk to. The location is secluded and felt safe. Only downfall is that a hurricane many years ago washed away some of the beach sand, exposing some rocks alon [... read more]g the beach. The beach is beautiful for waking, sunning, playing, but you'll want to go in at the pier to swim or snorkel. I recommend this resort 100% and can't wait to go back!!!

Paradisus Cancun: Terrible experience.

I would love to provide any detail about the hotel we were supposed to visot; however, due to the weather, Sunwing kept putting off our flight one day at a time. When our 7 day vacation was finally whittled down to 5 days (including one day of flying), we cancelled the trip. It turns out the following day’s flights were also cancelled. Sunwing offered us a non-transferable one year use Sunwing travel voucher for our trouble. That’s with the Worry Free Plus ManuLife Sunwing trip insurance we paid [... read more] extra for. Trip Central was sympathetic, but admitted that they had no real control over Sunwing’s policies. I don’t think I will be booking with Sunwing again - mostly because they were happy to let my 7 day holiday drop to six and then 5 days with little regard. And what good is your travel agent if they can’t stand up for you when things go wrong?

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Not a great resort

Just spent a week here. The app doesn't work to pre-book restaurants if you have more than one room as it needs your room numbers. So, we only managed to get 2 a la cartes. The rooms are dated. The beds are very hard. They did put a mattress topper on after the 1st night which helped. The breakfast buffet is the only good meal at the buffet. There is only 1 person doing omelets so the line is long. The lunch and dinner buffets are terrible. The selection is meager. Not even any potatoes or carve [... read more]d meats. None of the labels matched the food. But, the selection was just so bad. We have stayed at numerous Mexican resorts and this was not a good one. The Cenote snack bar was good and the staff were good. The grounds were nice. The trolleys to go to the other resorts were good. And, the fact that they fumigated in our rooms when they were occupied, and walked around with their full respirators on while they sprayed the foliage all along the paths, while the wind blew that poison all over the guests, was unreal. Would not come back and do not recommend. This is not a 5 star.

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Basically a good resort.

The grounds / pool are beautiful Rooms are decent however we were given a lousy location at the back looking over the garbage dump. We had requested 3 times to have rooms close to our family who were travelling with small kids in order to help. They did not try in any way to help with those requests. Their a la carte restaurant Booking system is atrocious. You stand in line at 6:45. Wait till they open and hopefully get a Rez Timeshare people always get priority. Hyatt Vivid Grand Island: Beautiful, refreshing and excellent

The resort was very clean and beautiful. We availed of the vantage club option which provided access to the roof top pool, a private bar / snack area and the vantage club suites. Food was fantastic, we made reservations for each evening but also had success at walk ins when we were unsure of what we wanted that night. The quality of food was high and if portions were less than expected, you can always order more! The service was fantastic and prompt. Barcelo Maya Tropical: Beautiful, spacious resort!

What an absolute fantastic resort. This is our second time to the Barcelo Maya Tropical and it once again did not disappoint. It is even bigger than before. It has so much to do, fantastic shopping mall and so many individual vendors that sell everything you're looking or even not looking for, whatever your budget.
