Brisas Guardalavaca: Great Resort

The hotel is excellent. Very enjoyable. Grounds are kept very clean. All workers are very helpful. Meals are not short of too much. Evening shows were all great. I would return soon! All other tourists and Cubans were very friendly. Canada Day was interesting.

Melia Internacional: Would recommend

The staff were very friendly. The pool was the cleanest I've ever experienced in all of my years of travelling to the Carribean. Their water park was really cute. My 10 month old baby loved going down the waterslide after watching the bigger kids do it. The beach was clean and the water was crystal clear and calm. They have guys on the beach that will put up a sun umbrella wherever you want so no need to rush down and save a chair in the morning. They sold something in the gift shop that was $20USD. It worked decently but not as good as the deet free off. (I have a baby and breastfeed otherwise I would just used deet, that's how bad it was). Food: there's a lot of options. You can definitely find a few things that you like and can survive off for the week. I highly recommend booking some A-La-Carts for dinner so that you can get more variety. The Cuban restaurant was good. The Japanese was good. The spanish was awful. I did the Tex-Mex twice. The first time it was amazing. The 2nd time it was awful. A negative is that there's cochroaches at the main buffet restaurants. Especially the Rumba. I'm by no means a diva but seeing 30 of them scatter after sitting down on a booth was rough. Avoid the booths at all costs and bang your chairs on the ground first before you sit. Luckily, I didn't see any in the rooms. Just the buffets. If you go into town, Kiki's restaurant has great pasta. 3 plates of pasta and 2 alcoholic drinks came to $28 USD. La Campana restaurant located in Josone Park has great authentic Cuban food. 2 plates (one chicken, one pork) and flan for dessert came to $23USD

NH Capri: Good Location

The hotel is a good location to visit the the sites of Havana. Everything in the hotel is outdated but the rooms are clean and the A/C works. The food at the breakfast buffet is decent, it is small so there are very little options but it is nice that it is free. The service at the buffet is not great. I don't understand obtaining water, sometimes it was free and sometimes we had to pay for water???

Melia Internacional: Lovely Resort

The hotel rooms were clean, the grounds were well maintained, the pool was fantastic and the beach was certainly the highlight of the trip. The ocean water was warm, crystal clear and no seaweed!!! Stayed in room 4145 which had a beautiful view of both the pool and the ocean. The only concern was for 5 consecutive days the key card was not working. Several trips down to the lobby to have the key reactivated which was an inconvenience. The food offered in the buffet was a hit or a miss. Repe [... read more]titive food options, however, they did the best with what food they had. The pasta was good, the mashed curry pumpkin was also very good. Omlettes for breakfast along with fresh mango. Downfall with the buffet was that roaches were seen near the food a few times. Terrible experience at the Japanese a la cart as my party of 2 with reservations arrived first and therefore sat in the front of the grill to watch the chef. The host told us we had to sit as far in the corner as possible due to them having a family who planned to attend. We opted not to move and they decided not to provide a show on our grill. It was what it was!!! The cubian restaurant was decent although the Sampson restaurant was top notch. Really enjoyed the grilled tuna steak on their menu. Customer service representative Joanna was an absolute pleasure. Went above and beyond to ensure we, as guests, enjoyed our stay with Melia Intercational.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Wonderful Resort

Very clean , pool is very nice and clean , all meals can be had in the restaurant No Buffet. Staff is always friendly, Pool Bar Staff are the best ! Beautiful Beach and boardwalk to Beach and Beach Bar is new but is awesome .

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Great resort in best location

Loved everything about this resort...second time since January and will definately going back really soon..the only thing I would like to see change is the buffet items a little more..but its cuba...

Roc Barlovento: Nice pools

Hotel room was good didn't always have good water pressure but bed was so comfy and maids were amazing would have liked some patio furniture on the balconie All staff very friendly and helpful food plentiful but not a lot of salads omelettes in the morning excellent and pasta very good as well all on all enjoyable would return for sure!

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Surprise!

After all the "horror" stories I was reading about this hotel and Cuba in general-I was pleasantly surprised that it is very good -nice spacious rooms lots of food and wines -even sparkling wine! Canadians will never be tired of talking about amazing Cuban people and the hotel staff is perfect ! Beach is dreamy !!! Grounds are clean and green of course lots of mosquitoes and flies...so what?! Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Disgusting

I don't understand how anyone can say this is an amazing resort. The excuse "it's low season" is not an excuse for the filth or lack of service, food and clean sheets and towels. If you're going to stay open, you have to serve the people that have paid to be there. I literally counted down the minutes until we could go home. Valentin Perla Blanca: Garbage!

False advertising on their website to say the least, complete waste…thanks trip central for selling this resort stay to my wife and I. I wish I didn’t go to this resort because it stressed us out, so much for a vacation ?????

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Excellent time

I managed to get a week at the Club section of Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort for the second week in June. I had it at an extremely reasonable price. The main reason I went was for the beach. It did not disappoint. Water was very calm everyday and it suited me fine as I have a problem with one of my legs. I was able to swim out to deeper waters although I did wear a life jacket. There was never a day where there was a shortage of beach chairs. As a Club member I had very nice meals all the time. It pays to get to the Club section. Considering the prices that we pay at restaurants nowadays at home, the extra difference that we pay to get to the Club section is minimal. Everyone working at the resort were kind, helpful and polite. Resort was well maintained; my room looked pretty new. The phone worked and so did the safety box. A bottle of water was delivered everyday. Any problem in the room was taken care of immediately. I look forward to my next trip to Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort, hopefully soon.

Melia Internacional: Nice beach

The washrooms in the lower level by Tobbaco store where awful no toilet seats no soap no paper towels the hand dryer didn’t work and fulllof mosquitoes the ala carts where the same food as buffet just served to you also at the Italian ala carte we where eating and roaches where crawling up the window and ledge next to us not what u would expect I told the waitress she came a few times and squished them with a cloth very appetizing

Sol Cayo Coco: Awesome resort

We where at least 15 times in Cuba, from Havana down to the south. The Sol, Cayo Coco was one of the best experiences we had on the Island! This was our second time at this resort and not the last time. If you don't need to venture out in the evening or want "City nightlife" this is one secret paradise

Tryp Cayo Coco: Resort I loved from the first moment

I have been at Tryp four times and I just fell in love with beautiful white sand and calm ocean. Same beach as Aruba or Antiqua for a fraction of the price. Also, amazing people working very hard and appreciate your presence there. Food is actually great in the restaurants . But, people working there are the BEST. I will always come back here, it is a resort I trust not to disappoint.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Nice and relaxing trip- beautiful beaches

The hotel was great, especially since we had paid for the Diamond Member. You get exclusive beach access, restaurants and butler service. The staff at the Diamond member private beach were phenomenal l, amazing hospitality l. Our bartender was so friendly and attentive. We loved this resort and will be back again. Also our Butler Marianne was so accommodating and hospitable. We will miss Cuba! See you next time.

Sol Palmeras: Amazing Resort

When we got to Sol Palmeras we were supposed to have a bundow room but we was told it is far from the main building, so I ask the reception if I can get another room in the main building, and she was so nice she did, the room we got was very nice and it look newly renovated. The staff at this resort were very friendly and the food was good specially being in Cuba. I would recommend this resort.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: fly and mosquito infested trip trip to Grand Aston

As far as the room quality air conditioning service location and unit 5 star. But not so much the food and hygiene. The food is really repetitive of average quality too much salt and most important not hygienic they do not fumigate the dining area so the entire area is full of lies and mosquitoes they sit on the buffet on the food and it is very dangerous you don't feel like eating the food so this is my worst rating as far as the food quality and hygiene is concerned Hope the hotel looks at it  [... read more]before somebody falls sick because of these flies and mosquitoes hovering around and sitting on the food you cannot even enjoy the food you have to keep moving your hand to keep the mosquitoes away and also the flies away. The mosquito bites left my skin very sore for days after coming back from the trip in spite of putting mosquito repellent

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Amazing resort!!

We had the best time at Iberostar Selection Esmeralda. Specifically, the staff couldn’t have been better. The entertainers (Jackson, Billy, Yaris, Alejandro and Angel). The staff in the buffet went above and beyond as well. Would highly recommend this hotel for a great time, great beach and great memories!!!

Sanctuary White Sands: Amazing Resort and wonderful stagg

From the moment Martine helped us book our vacation we were excited and looked forward to this trip. The people and resort did not disappoint. Incredible beach and views. Great staff across all areas. The resort may benefit from posting recreation activities and posting any live performances. The sax player was an added bonus!
