Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Good experience

First would like to mention that booking through trip central was a very smooth experince . Monique did an amazing job explaining and assisting in every aspect. Sunwing airlines also did an excellent job, very cuerteous and crew and their representatives in Cuba were all professional and and honest and went out of their way to assist. The grounds and gardens and massive , the length is the resort is maybe 1km in length . Lot of walking and excellent for nature lovers . Super quiet beach and location . The rooms are huge and well laid out. Safety was excellent , the hotel property and gardens deserve 5 stars even by western standards . The rooms are clean , a bit dated but very well kept still . Wifi was available for 1 peso for one hour. I noticed the wifi time run fast . Maybe you get 4 hours of working time if you pay for 5 hours. The wifi fairly strong in the lobby and rooms , but did not work on the beach but who needed that anyways. Food was in abundance but average quality . Fruit quality was very good. Overall I would go again specially through trip central and Sunwing airlines. Take an excursion and be generous with the Cuban people . They are very nice, very friendly and very honest . No scams or gimmicks of any kinds . Thank you from a solo traveler .

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great vacation

This resort has everything required for a fantastic holiday. Lovely grounds, comfortable rooms, stunning beach, fun pool,yummy food at the buffet and a la cartes. (My favourite was the lasagna at the Italian), hard working entertainment crew and staff who make you feel at home

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great beach!

The restaurants were good, you would never go hungry! We ate at the seafood and steak restaurants. The steak was particularly good, and interesting since it is on the beach. The grounds were decent, but in need of a bit more attention. Same with the rooms, very functional but dated. AC worked very well!! Staff worked hard and were attentive. Iberostar Selection Cancun: Amazing resort

I've recently returned from Iberostar Prestige Cancun (room 4511). This was my 8th time to Cancun and by far my favourite hotel. Check-in was a breeze - Ana was extremely friendly and welcoming. Great way to start our trip. We stayed on the prestige side and it was absolutely stunning. We had an ocean front jr suite – brand new room with nice size balcony including a jacuzzi. The mini fridge and towels were always stocked with beer, pop, juice and water. The beds were actually very comfortable. The room had Bluetooth surround sound so super easy to play music from my phone. Oh and robes in the closet!!! Loved that especially after a day at the pool. The pools were clean, great views of the beach and nice temperature. Always a chair/sunbed available in the sun or shade. Javier by the pool was fantastic - so friendly, chatty and welcoming everyday. The pool waitress service around the pool was great. We never had to wait long for a server to bring us a drink. Alcohol was top-shelf - grey goose was my vodka choice. On the prestige side you don't need a towel card - you just walk-up and pick up as many towels as you like. And at the end of the day they take the towels away for you. We enjoyed that they had nice pool lounge music - with no one yelling on a microphone. It almost had a Thompson hotel Beverly Hills rooftop feel. They also had floating yoga in the pool which was allot of fun. The beach is gorgeous, well kept and free of seaweed. I'm not a foodie but the food on the prestige side was delicious. The breakfast restaurant had a great view of the pool/beach with a full breakfast even caviar. At lunch they had great bbq selections with grilled lobster tails. YUM. If you want to stay in the sun they can bring you a menu and order lunch or snacks right to your pool chair. The Japanese restaurant was also very good. We emailed ahead of time to book a reservation. We only went to one of the entertainment shows – which was good. The entertainment staff will also take groups out to different bars in Cancun at night and provide transportation. We had complimentary use of the spa wet area – which we took advantage of one morning when it was a bit overcast. Other than that one morning the weather was perfect. Sunny and hot everyday. The hotel does not use single use plastic (i.e straws, plastic cups etc). I appreciate the environmental concern. Our room had large glass bottles of water - restocked daily. They also have an APP that you can download and it tells you all the daily activities – no need for printing. Overall the hotel was superb, friendly staff, beautiful grounds and a really fun vibe. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I will 100% return.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Awesomeness!!!

I recently stayed at your Hotel (10-20 March). Firstly, Thank You so very Much to Osmary my Maid during that time. I just can’t say enough about her. She is Beautiful …she is Beautiful as a Human ..and has a Beautiful Heart. Walking into my Room and seeing her Special touches made me Smile. She kept my room spotless and I was never in need of anything. Every day she gave me a Warm Greeting and asked if there was anything I needed or if I was having a Good day. I Hope Many more Visitors ar [... read more]e able to Experience the Loveliness that is Osmary. Anyone reading this should ask for Her Specifically…I know I will when I book again ! I was also very Impressed with the Lounge Bar Staff (Check in area) …they always had smiles on their faces and remembered what I ordered. The same goes for the Staff at the 24 Hour Restaurant …I apologize if I get this wrong but I especially want to thank (I’m thinking Blanco ..and his Son) they seemed to always be there and were Awesome! It is obvious that all of these wonderful People have a Genuine Like for one another ! The way they Greeted each other coming and going always warmed my Heart. Special shout out to Whitney (Poolside) who was so Lovely. Friendly and Helpful and also the Young men who set up the Umbrellas. When I went to the Buffet I always sat in the section Closest to the Doors ..the Young Man who Served me was always so Awesome and also always Smiling. Another Beautiful Soul is Lisandra (usually carrying a Clipboard) and always Smiling …Your Smile and Your Manner are a Joy ! I was However Puzzled that small babies in diapers were allowed in the Adult Pools. There is a Lovely Children’s Pool that I noticed remained almost empty for the time I was there. If children are wearing diapers….Obviously they are doing whatever “Business” they have to do whenever and wherever, which should NOT be in the Adult Pool. If the Parents do not know any better then Perhaps the Hotel should enforce this. And besides…putting a tiny baby in diapers in a Pool of Chemicals is not the best idea in the World. Also….if your Child is Screaming for no apparent reason and Bothering all of the people around them that have paid for a relaxing Vacation at least if you are at the Children’s Pool with Other People and their children it is more acceptable. To these same Parents … Check your Children’s diapers!! If Poop is falling out on the Tiles of the Walkway it might be time for a Change! In Closing there is a Very Abrasive, Rude and Obnoxious Person Named Desmarelda that works on the Floor below Osmary. She is the Only Person I experienced this from and I feel like she does Not fit in with all of the Other Lovely People you have Employed. I Hope to Never see Her again. All in all I enjoyed my stay and will come Back again ..Thank You to Everyone !

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Relaxing Time

I thought the resort was okay. The service staff was amazing and they work really hard. It was a smaller resort versus others that I stayed at which was really nice. You could get a beach hut at anytime so no early morning wake ups to get a hit! :-). Disappointed that the golf package wasn’t included as advertised, played anyway and the course was outstanding. It was also nice that drinks were included on the course as it was owned by the resort. The buffet was just fair at best (no variety,  [... read more]the same for lunch and dinner) The specialty restaurants were the biggest disappointment except the Japanese restaurant.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Pros and Cons

We had a good holiday at this resort. We have travelled to Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, and many cruises over many years so have a pretty good understanding of what to expect when travelling south. Pros: This resort is a nice size. It is manageable without too much walking or an impersonal feeling. It has a tropical vibe with a good layout. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, choices, and overall taste of the food. This was the best food we have enjoyed in Cuba. There were stations of freshly cooked foods at breakfast, lunch, and supper including omelettes, chicken, stir fry, and fish. The a la carte Mexican and Italian restaurants were great. I am a picky eater and I was able to find foods I could enjoy every meal. The staff worked hard and were friendly and accommodating. They were appreciative of tips and interacted positively but were never pushy. Line-ups were relatively short and it never felt chaotic. The entertainment staff was positive and upbeat. The staff playing volleyball at the beach were entertaining and really tried to get people involved. Our room was well-appointed with renovations like newer tiles and bathrooms. Cons: There were mosquitos. We did see that the resort tried to address the problem by spraying, but some members of our family did get a lot of bites especially at night. Although the food was good, there were shortages such as running out of things like jam, orange juice, chicken, and wine. We were told this was an issue in the area and not specific to this resort. Hot water was an issue in our section of the resort as well. We had two rooms on the same floor and one had hot water and the other had none. The front desk staff initially attributed it to lack of sun resulting in solar panels not working optimally but had no answer as to why a few rooms down we had hot water. After a couple of days we were eventually moved to another room on the same floor that did have hot water but it took persistence on our part. They also offered us complimentary massages and tried to rectify the situation as best they could. The beach is beautiful and wide. However, there is a lot of seaweed in the water which meant that you could only swim out to your waist at best comfortably. Pilar beach is a stunning beach 10 minutes away so we went there to enjoy some waves and the chance to really experience the water. Considering Pilar beach is so accessible, the beach quality would not prevent me from returning to this resort, but I was disappointed by so much seaweed in front of the resort. Overall, we had a great holiday at this resort. The people were wonderful, the weather was pleasant, the food was delicious, and the resort had a cosy and upbeat vibe.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Amazing resort

Loved the resort , very clean, nice staff, entertaining at the beach and pool was awesome. Food was very good , really like the French restaurant and steak house, and rock cafe. Lots of walking depending where you are in the resort but there is small golf cart to bring you where you want. Would recommend.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great Resort Perfect Beach

Great beach, great room, friendly staff, clean grounds, good food with lots of variety. I really liked how close we were to the airport. I had one hour free wifi (was included in my package) everyday. Lots to see and do. I would come back.

Hotel Mojito: Amazing

I loved the Iberostar Mojito Hotel, we were there for a 2 week Vacation. The resort was very clean and the staff were super friendly, there were always activities to play, or you could just relax, I would recommend this Resort to everyone, we loved it.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

The grounds, pool and common areas were very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. Everything was within walking distance to your hotel rooms. I.e. The pools, buffet and the beach were all close together without feeling cramped.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Incredible resort vacation

The resort was everything we could have wished for. The staff friendly and helpful and always ready to go the extra mile. The setting beautiful and lush. The food was delicious and great variety. Everything was so clean, the rooms, pool, dining areas, walkways. We would certainly visit again!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Awesome place

Gorgeous grounds, food was fantastic lovely rooms, the staff was invitting and helpful Went on snorkeling tour, it was so fun and entertaining. This is a great place for family or couple vacation. Pool was beautiful and the wild life that lives there is spectacular.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Great time

We had a great time at this resort. The pool is huge. During our stay a section of the pool was under repair so one pool bar and the waterfall part were not operating. There was still plenty of pool and another pool bar open. It was a bit of a hike to the one open pool bar and it was March break so the timing wasn’t ideal for repairs. We were only able to book one specialty restaurant out of the three we were supposed to get at a time that worked for our toddler. (Before 8:00pm). I recommend making your reservations right away at check in which is a bit of a pain as you have to sit with staff after a long day of travel and they try to sell you on club memberships, day trips and such. Overall a good experience and we had lots of fun.

Playa Alameda is a really comfortable, pleasant quiet resort. Service is good. The buffet includes a wide variety of food. The rooms are clean. The beach is beautiful. Activities are available throughout the day. You can relax by the pool or on the beach and if you wish take part of activities offered both by the pool or on the beach.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Totally Top Drawer Resort

The luxury of space, attention to detail, staff that could not do enough for you - what was not to like? Excellent resort golf course - Pete Dye - on of the great golf course designers of his era. Restaurants were great - sometimes a bit cool - but I guess better that than too warm. Fabulous entrees and imaginative appetizers. We had a fabulous room with an ocean view. Thank you “Boom Boom” for you attention and caring about our stay with you.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort!

My only complaint about this resort was the lack of entertainment in the evenings . Very quiet resort. The resort was so clean ! We stayed at the Spa Adults only area and our room was kept amazingly clean at all times. Everyone that worked there was so friendly , welcoming and very helpful. Drinks were great. We always had beer pop and water in our fridges everyday. Ala carte's had amazing food. Buffet was somewhat repetitive, but had great omlettes, and fish. Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing time!

We had an absolutely great time, the staff were friendly and helpful, the resort, beach and pools were beautiful and well maintained, the food was good and as plentiful as the drinks, the nightly entertainment was fun and the only time we had an issue (room wasn't cleaned when we returned one day) the staff was quick to rectify.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Beautiful and perfect resort

Everything was amazing, the grounds were beautiful and the pools were salt water so great for the skin! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, I ate wayyy too much! There was tons of activities for me and my kids, plus the shows in the evenings were so much fun!
