Sol Turquesa Beach: Amazing Resort

Clean resort, no air conditioning in the room, water is leaking on the floor in the bathroom, TV channels are not working. Amazing beach, drinks and dining facilities, amazing food, good variety of food.

Sol Turquesa Beach: DEFINATELY WILL GO BACK!

We have been to this same resort I believe 10 times. Will definitely go back. In comparison to the other resorts in the area I don't think any of them would be a greater deal. The meals are very good in the buffet, not a huge huge variety but still lots to choose from. The cheese and cold meat selection is amazing. The only complaint and being a minor one, that I would have in the buffet area is that since it has been a Memories resort we can see the decline in service, re: not getting ask [... read more]ed for drinks, waiting for utensils, and sometimes dishes. waiting for dirty dishes to be picked up from the table once you went for seconds. You will always have a lounge wether it be at one of the five pools or at the beach. But, of course you will still get the early birds putting their towels on the chairs and not being used for hours, but that is consistent with any place. The lobbiy is big and comfortable and has the best capacinno. The resort is very well kept and is a nice stroll around the entire place. we do not choose the Diamond club, we personally don't think its worth the extra $25.00 per day, however some people thinks its great. we have been going every six months and will continue to do so. Definitely recommend you try this place.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Relaxing visit

Enjoyed our visit. Beach and pool areas attractive, room large and well maintained for an older resort. Enjoyed our dining experience and the coffee bars are a nice treat. Local area is clean and safe to wander.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Lovely vacation

Beautiful grounds,beautiful beach,friendly staff, food was good-enjoyed the buffet at the main hotel and breakfast at El Benny's was a nice change some mornings. Return guest dinner was nice and fun. Our meal at L'espada(a la carte) was not good fresh food. Our room in tropical section was nice.Bathroom very tiny but everything worked. Hot water for shower 13 out of the 14 days.Nice chairs on the balcony. Would be nice if there was a better setup for check in-it's not good for staff or guests [... read more]-proper setup for lineups would help(and the same at the airport lineups!). People get very frustrated and in some cases pretty angry. Mohitos and Margheritas were only available at one bar and then only 4 hrs a day. Only sometimes diet cola was available and never did we find diet 7up except you had to buy it at the hotel store. So for diabetics or people who like not-so sweet drinks, not so good. Communication about nightly entertainment was poor. We enjoyed evening entertainment at the main bar and at the main buffet. We actually had a king size bed but we always find the beds too hard to get proper sleep, which is not so good for 2 weeks. Again the bath towels were absorbent but way too small. They were refreshed regularly. Wi fi access has improved since last visit.

Playa Costa Verde: Lovely place and really nice people. We were very happy with our choice.

Grounds were lovely, well kept and easy to get around. Mostly level walking. We loved the "small" groupings of the buildings, rather than high rise hotels. Always plenty of choice at the buffet, and 3 a la cartes for dinner choices. Entertainment was a little repeated but we had choice to leave when had enough. Our room needed TLC. Was not spotless but OK. AC worked well, patio was facing west so evening sun. Floor clean and Beds comfortable. No frills !!! Would certainly return.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Fantastic Trip!

Our first visit to Brisas but won't be our last. We were impressed with the amenities, cleanliness and beautiful surroundings. Never went hungry and we were never bored. I see why so many people have repeat visits.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Good resort

Stayed at this resort when it was Playa Turquesa. The atmosphere has changed, staff is not as engaging as before. We requested a room "not" on the ground floor and we got one that was in a one level building. It was a nice room but I just couldn't be that close to the ground. ( phobia ). The view from the patio was just bushes and trees. We changed rooms the next day and got a basic room but at least it was on the second floor. Apparently there was a returning guest supper but we were not inform [... read more]ed and when we asked about the free bottle of rum we actually had to ask again as we were leaving for home and someone handed it over and walked away without a word. The resort is pretty well kept and they do work hard. The animation team was at the beach everyday getting people involved including children. They were awesome. Food was as we expected, we always find something. We did the romantic and Cuban alacarts and they were both good. The beach is small but nice. Overall the resort is very nice just not the same feel as when we were there before.

Don Lino Hotel: Amazing resort !!!!!!

My first trip I’ve taken myself without my husband. Wasn’t sure how it was going to be, until I landed at this resort. The Don Lino ..... It was a wonderful place to go for some great R&R. My room was great, the food was good and the were very kind people.The grounds were very clean. The hotel took us on an outing to the Playa Blanca beach which was fabulous. The only downfall I had was you couldn’t get in the water on the beach without sand shoes, but one mile away you could go to this other beach which was beautiful. I would definitely go back. I would definitely give this hotel a solid three.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Awesome Time!!!

Everything was great minus a few small things but all and all a great time for my daughter and myself!! Some great bonding time for sure!!! Room was not done up when we arrived but they were quick to make it up and the water didn't work at first but that was also fixed in an appropriate manner. The fridge was not filled with water and beer and soft drinks but we made do!!

Playa Costa Verde: Beautiful resort

Resort was perfect. It was plentiful, with many options, very clean, very safe and perfectly layed out. The staff was very friendly and courteous at all times. Always welcoming from the front desk to the gardeners. Spoke with many return guests who have been going for more than 10 years. Would definitely return. Our first visit to Holguin.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Beautiful place

The people and the place are great just a good thing I had some Imodium with me. I needed to use it on the second full day. The food preparation might need some work. I needed to take it a few times. I ate and drank normally.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Nice resort

A well kept hotel with a nice view of the ocean. The shared beach was okay , music was too loud at night . The food selection was limited and the ala carte didn't have pasta on the Italian night. Bar tenders had very limited knowledge of drinks.

Playa Costa Verde: Playa Coste Verde

This resort is amazing. As in the past stays it has not let us down in any respect. The grounds are kept immaculate and the rooms roomy, clean, colourful and comfortable. The pool could use some TLC however it is so popular that it is probably very difficult to find some shutdown time. The beach is average with its small corral outcrops along the entry areas but this is natural and does not impede entry with proper footwear or moving down to a more sand filled entry point. Otherwise the beach a [... read more]rea is clean and neat and the water very clean and clear. This was our 8th trip to PCV and we have yet to find real problems. The food is abundant, fresh and the widest variety to suit almost any desire. The management and staff are probably some of the best in the industry, accommodating, helpful and courteous while most speak several languages (heard on this visit: German, French, English and of course Spanish) The recovery from resent storms has been amazing. New paint, cleaner look and a few changes probably in accordance with past guest surveys. The large clock above the Lobby desk is no longer in place so it pays to keep a watch handy if your concerned about timings. As usual we will be returning to PCV next year as this is our second home away from home, the feeling one gets as soon as you get unpacked.

Playa Costa Verde: Absolutely positively an amazing resort

This has been our 8th year in a row at Playa Costa Verde and god willing we will be returning. In 2017 it was not a very good experience. Karl's only baby brother drowned snorkelling. It was trau atic but we did return this year, for alot of reasons. We were supposed to go 2 weeks this year, but we thought it would be hard, but we did go for a week. Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Nothing much has changed at Club Amigo

Fantastic service from many old friends we have met over the 20 years going there. Remember that they are only a 3 star resort. We find that the maintenance has really declined. Patio doors not working, holes in walls in villa 9 (seems to be the overflow villa when they pretend to be full), fixtures falling apart or broken off tubs etc., Air conditioners not serviced and only blowing room temperature air. I would recommend if you are adventurous and leave the resort to experience the Cuban way. A safe place to sleep and keep your belongings. Would recommend to a friend with 20 years knowledge behind it. Wish they would serve drinks in glass.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Best value in the Caribbean

If what you want is hot sun, pure white sand and a gorgeous turquoise sea then there is no better value. Hands down the safest place I have ever stayed..on the entire planet! ..friendly staff..decent rooms (I only use the Villas) The food isn't the greatest, but fresh fish twice a day is okay by me...very uncrowded feeling...I've been 7 times and my new partner fell in love with it the first day...we'll be back!!

Sol Turquesa Beach: great resort

great resort for everything. Downsides would be lots of stairs to pools and back so not for people with mobility issues. also the deepfried food including bacon at breakfast tasted like it was fried in rancid oil. The alacartes were surprisingly good for cuba, particularly the romantico, medium rare steak was perfect and tender

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Needs work

Stayed April 1-8 2018 Pros: beautiful beach, warm weather, friendly wait staff/maids. I stayed in the bungalow it needed major work. Found 1 cockroach, a few spiders and tons of mosquitoes. I would not recommend staying in the bungalows.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Favorite resort in Cuba

The food was very good. We have been to many resorts in Cuba and often couldn't find much we like to eat. Club amigo has many options, all are good. Book your a la carte dinners right away. They fill up quickly. The resort is large and clean and around every corner there is something to do. You definitely won't be bored. Aside from one grouchy bartender, the staff was very friendly, smiling and fun to be around. The boulevard, the market, Rico's pizza, guardalavaca beach, guardalavaca village... [... read more] So much to do just outside the resort as well. 5 gold stars

Brisas Guardalavaca: 5th vacation at Brisas

This was our 5th stay at Brisas. It was a family vacation with 19 people in our party. Most of us stayed in the villa section of the resort. Our room # was 8104. Our room was very spacious, the air conditioner worked great, nice terrace over looking a garden and you could walk to the ocean in 3 minutes or go to the villa pool within 1 minute. The villa section has a small store where you can buy toiletries, water, booze, pop, juice packs, Hawaiian Tropic sun screen,diapers, shampoo, flip flops,  [... read more]umbrellas, bathing suits, towels, souveniers , ETC. The rate of exchange was 1.27 ( 100 pesos cost us 127.00 Canadian) The resort is very wheelchair accessible. (every set of stairs had a ramp as well) Our daughters & families stayed in rooms 115 &117 in the hotel. They were ground level. The rooms were not as spacious as our room at the villa. But who is in their room much anyway. (In my opinion the villas is my choice of accommodation) The food is okay. Lots to choose from at the buffet. No one should go hungry. Lots of selection.
