Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

I love Royalton Hicacos and spa for it's impeccable service,maids for my room were just the best you leave a Service my room they do it promptly, and when I ruffled my bed before supper, I came back to my room and they re did my bed wow, food for me was great 👍, staff and managers at front desk were very helpful and friendly always made shure I was satisfied, bravo team Royalton, bravo,5 star plus for me!!

Grand Memories Varadero: Beaches, pools, and staff were amazing!

Our room had some issues which required attention. Some that could be fixed and were attended to right away once we made management aware. The food was tasty in the Ala carte restaurants and various dishes in the buffet were enjoyable. Service was great and the staff were so friendly!

Club Kawama: Hotel has gone downhill

Since a new manager has taken over, this hotel has gone downhill. It still has the amazing staff but the Manager has been spending money on all of the wrong things. He took all of the palapas down off the beach, he shut down the a la cartes for a whole week. There was no wine for a couple of days & then only limited amount of wine & never any white wine. Coffee bar ran out of coffee. He is making the staff upset. It used to be such a nice hotel until the Manager, Machine, came along. Hotel Los Cactus: Typical 3.5 star in Varadero

This hotel is very dated but kept very clean. The food is basic and the main downfall of this resort. The rooms are large but old. The staff is great. The shortages in Cuba are very evident here. We got what we expected for the price we paid. In my opinion this is a typical 3.5 star in Varadero. I will probably not return here mainly because of the food but i think it is worth what they are charging.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good experience

The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful. Nice beach. The food choice was limited but this is expected for Cuba. It was quiet except for one night when there was a party at the beach. Overall we had a good experinece

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Beautiful and clean!

This resort was pretty great for the most part. Second time coming here, first time was a bit better food wise and the shoes were a lot better at night! Covid has effected the type of foods they can receive and they had less money to spend on acts for the shows. But, the food was pretty good and everything was kept pretty clean! Staff was super friendly! Had a great time!

Starfish Jibacoa: Beautiful Villas

This was my sister and myself first time. We travelled with our sister and sister-in-law we had an amazing time. Villas were clean and staff was amazing. The food was great along with the service everyone was great. Nice little store we visited and went up the hill for supper one evening by horse and buggy…so lovely. Will definitely return again.

Starfish Jibacoa: An amazing resort with little villas

This was our 23 time at the villas. This was the best yet. There was lots of good food and a huge selection. The pool was great and the people are like family so kind simply beautiful people.. our room was spotless plus the grounds were beautiful. I can hardly wait till next November for our 24 time.

Hotel Bella Costa: 15 years and counting

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Iberostar Alameda

No diet drinks, no fruit ,only rum to drink, no drinks in our hotel room, food was awful water dripping from our ceiling, could not shut off our air conditioning we where freezing and had trouble opening our room door.and had bad wifi Also resort did not meet Sunwing’s brochure description this was not a 5 star maybe 2 no premium drinks no frozen drinks no drinks in our room fridge deck loungers broken would no go there again or go with sunwing

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Iberostar Laguna azul

L'hôtel est bien, j'ai été déçue de ne pas avoir tout de suite ma chambre avec vue sur l'océan. J'ai dû attendre 62 jours pour l'avoir. Le prix était trop cher car j'ai discuté avec des touristes qui ont payé beaucoup moins cher.

Barcelo Solymar: Terrible

everyone in the hotel knew about my allergy to shellfish and a week ago in this hotel at the italian restaurant (snack bar) I had an allergy and ended up in the hospital because they did cross contamination, the hotel food was horrible, you can't eat any food outside from the snack bar and you have to be dry and eat your food sitting in the restaurant you can't take the food out they only have chicken sandwich most of the time they often put chlorine in the pool at 10am when people are in the po [... read more]ol , at night the hotel is very dark it has very little light , the rooms have ants , the hot water takes time to arrive , my safe did not work , I do not recommend this hotel and less to people with allergies

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort

First time staying at Playa Vista Azul. The resort was beautiful clean .The service was excellent, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.But most of all was meeting Hanny and Carlos,they made my vacation much more memorable,they were very kind and fun to be around. Great couple with kindness and love.

Paradisus Varadero: Happy stay

We loved our 4 day stay at the paradisus Varadero The pool and the beach were amazing. Friendly staff. One downside to our trip is that hotel was only about 25% filled Which was good you didn’t have to fight for access to chairs or anything… but if you were looking to meet other people would not be so evident. Other downside is the food for boring fast.

Melia Las Americas: Will always go back

We love this resort! The people make this place special. All so kind and helpful. The golf / beach combination is amazing. The beach is large with many chairs. The food is fantastic for Cuba and their limited resources. We can’t say enough great things about this place!

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Very fine resort

The grounds were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The activity staff were especially fun, dancing lessons, stretching near the beach every morning. Nightly entertainment. The food was plentiful and nicely presented.

Roc Barlovento: Friendly staff and a very nice resort!

There's always something going around, like shows ,games by the beach, aquatic in the pool ,sailing, snorkeling, you dont need to miss yoga its all in this resort. If you want to go for an intimate dinner you can go to the Mexican restaurant that's just located inside the resort. How fancy is that!

Muthu Playa Varadero: Fantastic Staff

To be honest the hotel is getting run down a bit, but they’re working on things like new comfortable mattresses, new bathroom facilities, new walkway/Bridges to the beach. The food wasn’t good the first day but the remaining 6 days were great, especially for Cuba, fresh breads, meats and vegetables. My favourite is the beach and the staff, the beach and the water are beautiful and the staff, they appreciate tips, smiles or kind words. I’ve been to more comfortable resorts but the staff  [... read more]are cranky and are often displeased if you don’t tip, whether the service was good or not. But at Muthu Playa Varadero, they aren’t like that, in my dozen trips to Cuba I have to say they have the nicest staff, always trying to give you a great vacation!!!

Muthu Playa Varadero: Amazing resort

One of the best beach's beautiful grounds good food and good service they make good cappuccino every year they make new improvements dorris and lili make sure the customers are well looked after right up to the time you leaving

Barcelo Solymar: Basic resort but may be worth a good deal.

I have been to varadero many times in my life. I have experienced many resorts from memories caribe to Melia continental. This resort is fairly basic compared to the other 2 mentioned. The bad, the pool at barcello has very limited shade with no swim up bar. My room flooded with the rain, but it was not a huge issue as I didn’t have anything on the ground. There was supposed to be 3 resorts included with your stay, but one of them is closed. The map is very confusing and hard to follow. I  [... read more]did not find things until later in my stay. The food was severely lacking which was expected for Cuba. Be warned, It was a lot worse than normal. Cucumbers were rare and cabbage, carrots, and potatoes were the only non meat items. Bananas did not exist and only local fruit. The 24 hour restaurant only serves ham sandwiches and maybe an unappetizing hamburger. They did not have many activities besides beach volleyball. Not even a net in the pool. The good. The stay does get inclusion to the occidental. The pool there is better and it is livelier. The grounds were immaculate with hedges and gardens everywhere. The dining room was very pretty and the bars were plenty. The beach is a very short walk over protected forest and is stunning. This is an amazing resort for a basic resort. It is dated and requires some renovations. Recommendations For those that just want the beach and some sun, this is a great place. For those that want a spa, activities, shopping, or just a bit of fluff, I would search elsewhere. I enjoyed my stay as I just wanted to sleep on the beach.
