Occidental Tucancun: "Truly home Away From Home"

Barcelo Tucancun Beach also called Occidental Hotel This hotel has very good service from the time you get at the main lobby to the time you leave.The staff were amazing and very helpful. This is should a clean and welcoming hotel. The location is perfect and the food is spot on with plenty of variation. The grounds, beach is beauitful and pools are very well looked after.Rooms are very cleaned and truly a fun hotel. The hotel has alot of activities all day night food. They did alot of changes The front Desk Receptionis now much larger with a open - concept with multiple windows, a glass wall blur the boundary between indoor and outdoors letting natural light flood. The Main Bar is much larger and brighter and adds enjoyment and relaxtion. It is in tune with the wants and needs and desires of today. The Gym has great equipment,which I truly enjoyed.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: beautiful resort

wow where do I start? the resort was fabulous, the grounds were beautiful. All the work is done by hand. Very impressive. I felt it necessary to tip a couple of gardeners a buck, because it does not appear that they get much recognition. The rooms were awesome as it turned out we were able to upgrade to a oceanview/pool view room. the resteraunts were all awesome, great service or shall I say prompt service. Never had to wait for a table.Now on the flip side if I may the pool bars were nice a [... read more]s long as you drank alcohol. That being said I am unable to drink a lot through the day, for medical reasons, therefore i'd go to the pool bar for a pop my order was taken and then I had to wait for the guy to ask another group of people and make there six drinks or however many and get back to me with a simple pop, was not impressed with that. All other staff were very friendly and helpful.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Ideal for kids of all ages

The resort is really designed for families. Great pools and kids club. Baby club needs some updating and tighter rules re: ratio of adult caregivers to child. Food was ok, rooms were ok. Very good location.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: A Must Go resort! :)

Very impressive resort! My mom and me were really enjoyed this experience! Resort is very well designed &located at the other side of Cancun, much more quiet and relaxed; the resort has a very nice layout, beautiful white sand beach, clean&chic interior design; also, they have friendly and helpful staff; Great selection of restaurants(doesn't request reservation, show up anytime at ur convenience &your choice), room service(included) & bars; they also provide guests daily scheduled &activities t [... read more]o keep your vacation fun & entertained. Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Good place

Pros It's a nice resort with a good layout. Kid friendly with lots to do. The staff are lovely. Breathtaking views. Within walking distance of attractions. Italian and Mexican restaurants are delicious! Cons The elevators are horribly slow when they're not broken. When we were there the zip lining was closed down for more than half our trip without warning which was disappointing since that's one of the activities our son was looking forward to doing. Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Wonderful Staff! They make you feel welcomed

We arrived around noon on Thurs Apr 21..check on took a long time but they were very nice. We didn't want a noisy room so he took his time to ensure he found us a quiet room which we really appreciated. Our maid Nelly was fantastic! Every day she left wash clothes folded like teddy bear or a duck or some animal for our kids. At the pool bar was the most magical. We would return for this reason most. They treated us so well all week and made special drinks even for the kids. They anticipated our every need smiling and attentive. Always so energetic and friendly all the pool bar and buffet staff are a pleasure. In the buffet area, Isreal and Rubical are the most amazing servers and worked hard with a smile every day. They remembered us from last visit and greeted our family every day like their welcomed family members. The pool was always clean, the beach while beautful was red flag for most of the week undertow and big waves .not good for young kids. The shows were ok and the rooms were nice.. Beds hard though. The only real problem I had was the food. Sometimes at the buffet for supper time we couldn't find much that was tasty. Most foods didn't taste quite right and even tasted odd. The meats were dry or often bland. The Ice cream was awesome though! I was sick with an upset stomach all week and not sure if I ate an undercooked burger at the pool area or if it was something else. The pool food often the temperature wasn't regulated and lids were left open with food exposed in the hot sun . I had been to the Riu in Mexico back in Oct and had no problem with food or tummy issues what so ever there...only here. Also sometimes it was difficult to get the guy stocking our room mini fridge to come with water each day. I left a note asking for more water please but he only came after I called down to the front desk and several hours later . 2 water bottles only allowed per room they said over the phone. Yet there were 4 of us in the room . You can go downstairs and get water at the buffet ..just bring your own container. The resort has free Wii fii throughout which is great. Overall ..because of the outstanding pool bar staff we love this resort..but I wish the food were better. The kids loved the watersides the beach and the guy dressed up like Pokemon walking around. The lifeguard at the beach was very good at watching everyone he was fantastic. The bell boys were great, so was the professional photography we had done at the resort .our Kids loved what they've done with Jetix with the ping pong tables, video games and movie theater..awesome! There were vendors in the lobby several nights if you wanted souvenirs.. just steer clear of the pushy time share people..I wish they would stop time share people right in the lobby you have to walk by them every day to get to the main pool area There were 2 out of 3 elevators broken most of the week.. it was difficult to get to our room so we walked 5 flights in a hot stairwell a lot ..and 2x the elevator stopped in between floors while people on it..1 time people had to jump down to safety.. many were scared.. We met the manager the last night when there was a problem on our bill being double charged for room service when we had paid cash..but he quickly credited us the difference and fixed this once we spoke to him and not just the front desk staff. The manager was great. Overall, we were happy here. We have been here 6 times because we feel welcomed here, safe and love that the staff remember us and treat us so well. Riu Caribe Cancun: Riu Caribe

This resort is up to the standards of all the other Riu resorts in areas of service accommodation, etc but fell short of our requirements. If you are fair skinned or dealing with someone in a wheelchair it would be best not to go to this resort. There is very little coverage available at the pool and makes it necessary to either book your place at 5am or shuffle your chairs to "chase the shade". More importantly, the resort is in several levels both inside and out of the main building. Ther [... read more]e are ramps which are sufficient for strollers but they are WAY TOO STEEP for wheelchairs. Especially if the adult in the chair is heavier than the helper. Particularly dangerous is the ramp leading to the main dining room and the bottom of this ramp is only a couple of feet from the plate glass wall of the restaurant. One slip could be disastrous. The staff are wonderful and will help whenever they are there but you can't get to the pool without using ramps and they are not always handy when outside. One other thing I didn't like was the square glass dinette table with 2 wooden slat-back chairs in the room instead of comfortable chairs. This was really a problem when we wanted to relax in the room. Needless to say if you don't have any problems in these areas you will enjoy the resort. It has many thing going for it and if you've already been to a Riu resort you will not be disappointed.

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Hard Rock Riviera Maya Resort - true 5 stars

This is a beautiful and clean beach resort. Staffs are friendly and cheerful. There are so many restaurants and pools to choose from. Food is always fresh and delicious. Luckily our room was close to the beach and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely visit again in the near future.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Unforgettable

In all sincerity, our stay at this astounding resort had such a profound and calming effect on us, we didn't want to leave. We were treated like royalty (in a most sincere and genuine way) from the minute we entered the premises, until we sadly departed. It is absolutely exquisite in every sense of the word. it was an amazing resort the food in the resort was amazing. the service was nice and quick all around I'll give this resort a 10 out of 10 😊 and I'm defently coming back to the same resort cause the expectacular service and experience

Excellence Playa Mujeres: more than excellent resort

As this was our third time at this resort, we knew what to expect and believe or not it was better than we thought. The service from the time we got there to the time that we left was unbelievable. They just seemed to go that extra mile to make sure you were looked after. The food was excellent as well as the pool and the lazy river.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Amazing resort

One of the cleanest resorts I've been at. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was fantastic. I don't have any complaints. I wouldn't change a thing about it. I would recommend this resort to any of my family or friends.

Occidental Tucancun: Wonderful Resort!

Great all inclusive resort by the beach. Clear skies in low 20s. Ocean a little choppy but warm. Rooms well maintained and cleaned often. Several choice restaurants. Voucher reservations for ala carte a bit of a drag. Went as family with pre/teens - not a lot of activities òther than the pool. Spa service excellent (Thx Magda). Beach kept clean however needs umbrellas! Hotel a short ride from airport and behind Kukulcan mall. Excursions at least 2 hours away. Overall wonderful experience rec [... read more]ommend it. NYX Hotel Cancun: Would Recommend and Return

A few things missing were the customer service at the front desk, access to all-day drinks and non-domestic drinks (unless you upgrade), but all in all, the servers/bartenders/bellhops were wonderful! The resort is gorgeous and very clean. The beach was beautiful and the food, oh wow!! Some rooms were good for the value, but not 5-star.

Grand Oasis Sens: Great week

Rooms-clean, modern, fridge restocked daily. Check In- fast and friendly. Beach- beautiful, clean and you can walk for miles.Unfortunately if you are a beach person and like to swim in the ocean don't go here. The waves are huge and red flags are up everyday meaning it is not safe to swim. Drinks good but watered down. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Grand Oasis Cancun: Great Staff and Atmosphere

A friend and I spent 8 days at the Grand Oasis. Overall the resort is a great place to vacation. The staff continuously went out of their way to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Personally when I go again I would get one of the upgraded room packages as the room we stayed in wasn't in the best shape. The air conditioning barely blew any cold air the and balcony sliding door wouldn't fully close making it quite uncomfortable to sleep. The grounds were well kept and they were continuously working on keeping the resort in tip top shape. The pools were a great place to spend the afternoon hanging and were huge with various sports games going on through the day.

Secrets Playa Mujeres: Very nice resort

The beaches were definitely not as the photos shown in the brochure. The rooms are very nice. We were in room 3001 very close to the ongoing construction and we were O.K. with that, the pounding didn't start till 9am. The food was great, the Italian restaurant was very disappointing. The biggest complaint was with the staffing at this resort. The expectation of staff to receive tips was some what uncomfortable. It was like a sense of entitlement. I have several examples to share but who will l [... read more]isten. Several of the quests felt the same way and stated they would share the same. After landing in Toronto we noticed our suitcase was broken into.

This hotel stands out for its cleanliness and quality of food, drink and service. Every drink was made with the best top shelf alcohol assuring a amazing drink. Sandos Cancun: Kid friendly

Grounds were awesome, Cenotes, Myan ruins, animal shelter and lots for kids. Rooms were just ok. Washrooms are very tight. Food was ok. Service inconsistent. Late check out was not available as described. Some staff were not friendly others were great.

Riu Cancun: Gorgeous resort!

Just arrived back from the Rui Cancun. This was my 3rd time there and and my friends first. The hotel is amazing . Beautiful decor throughout. The staff so very friendly. I was quite impressed with Marlene a waitress at the buffet restaurant she actually remembered me from a trip 2 years before and asked how my girls were doing. Megial the pool waiter was so sweet . Views from our room on the 15 floor were breathtaking. We had a great time
