Couples Sans Souci: Wonderful romantic resort

This resort was everything I was hoping for. We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and wanted to go somewhere special. Couples Sans Souci has beautiful grounds with lots of stone stairs and romantic places to walk. No mosquitoes or insects at all despite the lush tropical vegetation. We stayed in one of the beachfront rooms (block A) and our room was beautiful and newly renovated. The beach was quite small but clean and there were always loungers available in the shade (my preference [... read more]) or sun (my husband’s preference). What really set this resort apart for us was the service - it was fantastic. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved their no tipping policy - no need to bring your wallet with you anywhere on the resort (unless you chose spa services). This policy was one of the main reasons I chose this resort. There was a mix up with our room when we arrived, and it was handled immediately and to our satisfaction by the front desk staff and management. We met so many nice people at this resort. Many of them are repeat customers which says a lot.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Hard to find fault!

Had a swim out room on an end unit near the pool and beach and close to restaurants. The buffet is excellent. We particularly liked the Grazio restaurant near the pool. The only restaurant (other than buffet and fast food at the pool) that is open for lunch or quite good take out pizza. Other restaurants we rate as good. Restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff all very helpful and friendly. The front desk and guest services staff seemed a little officious and arrogant at times. Rooms are well eq [... read more]uipped - it's only two years old so time will tell how well they keep up the maintenance. It's a two hour bus ride from airport so "location" scores low.

Sunscape Cove: One word "SUCKS"

The hotel is not only rated wrong it isn't even close to being a 4 star. The service was terrible, rooms were worse than a jail and the food was better on the airplane. Save your money and look elsewhere Sun scape is a DUMP!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good Resort, but would not return

The resort was good, family had a great time. We tend to spend most of our time at the beach and learned the beach at the Grand Bahia is a man made beach. Lots of rocks, seaweed and the sand was rocky and filled with crushed seashells. Overall great family experience staff and food was great but would try another resort on the island.

SeaGarden Beach Resort: An excellent resort

A very good hotel ... indoor public areas, outdoor landscaping dinning area are acceptionaly good ... Our room 302 required a bit of renovation Kitchen and dinning area staff paid good attention to our special needsfor vegetarian and glutinfree diet

Beachcomber Club: Another wonderful stay at the Beachcomber...

We have just returned from a terrific two week vacation at the Beachcomber Resort in Negril, this was our 4th time at this resort. The beach is amazing, the staff are all awesome - so friendly and always helpful. We are already missing Shane, Duke, Claude & Owen who look after the place and the great bar staff/servers Ricardo, Kim & Andy. The pool is small but clean - but who swims in a pool when you have one of the best beaches in the world for swimming. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with great service - this is your place. We are already planning our next visit.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Wonderful place!

Truly a 5 star resort. Attention to details and service amazing. Great food and great selection of restaurants. Staff friendly and professional. Will go out of their way to help with all requests. Love our week !

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great geography! Safe, clean and convenient.

This resort is situated on a long stretch of beach. We loved that the resort and beach were smoke-free! We found it fairly easy to find chairs on the beach no matter the time of day. The water was shallow with lots of marine life if you like snorkeling or just wading through the water pointing out fish and sea urchins. Hotel staff were steadily patrolling the beach for cups and garbage. Security was also present but not obtrusive.The size and layout of the resort was perfect. The outdoor chess game was a personal favourite - also right on the beach. The hamburger shack, icecream hut and jerk chicken shack were fantastic! The buffet was OK. The Japanese a La Carte was 20$ and well worth it! The food was amazing and the chef put of an entertaining show. We were less satisfied with the 25$ upgrade at the seafood a La Carte. I ordered the surf and turf and the steak tasted terrible. The room was clean, and the beds and pillows were nice. The balcony was well sized but it was very difficult to open and close the patio door. The bathroom was pretty small and it was almost impossible to get a decent hot shower between 4-6pm. The internet connection was good enough in the room that I was able to stream netflix on my laptop without much interruption. Check-in, check-out was a fairly smooth process. The guest lounge was a great perk to get you through that awkward period of time between check-out and the shuttle ride to the airport. I was a little irritated that I wasn't able to check into my room until after 3:00pm upon arrival. Based on flight delays I didn't get to the resort until Sunday but I had paid for a room starting Saturday. I was not refunded for that night so I should have been checked in as soon as I got there. I followed up with my booking agent and received a generic and lame reply about how that's the standard. Not a luxurious resort, but if you are okay with getting your own drinks and timing your showers to low consumption times, the resort is good value for the money.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Expected More

We just returned from a one week stay at the Luxury Bahia in Runaway Bay Jamaica. Housekeeping was terrible. Throughout the week, we encountered these issues: no towels, no bathmat, not enough toilet tissue, no soap, bath towels but no hand towels. We did however have lots of shampoo. The refrigerator was not restocked consistently. We ordered a bucket of ice one day and received it 25 hours later after 2 more phone calls.There are no ice machines on the floors so you either need to go to the [... read more] lobby (not an option as both myself and my wife have limited mobility & again, the closest elevator was on again, off again) or call the "butler" Broken elevator that didn't have a sign on it that it was out of service. The same elevator had a broken mirror that was ignored for 8 days. The staff knew about it but it was always someone else's job--even the piece of broken glass that was on the floor for 2 or 3 days. On the plus side, the a la carte restaurants are good. The buffet is decent but most of the food does not look appetizing. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are very friendly and the entertainment was very entertaining. All in all, we were disappointed as we have heard such good things from a few friends and family. Our overall experience at the Riu in Ocho Rios was much better.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great experience with tripcentral.ca!

The Holiday inn , Montego Bay is provides the best experience we’ve had. Clean,safe,beautiful beaches, wonderful staff, great food and selection, great beverages, awesome reception staff etc etc..! Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great resort

Grounds were probably the nicest of any resort we have been to. Food was good but service was a little slow - but courteous. Loved that never felt crowded as there were many pools and beaches to choose from - always able to find lounge chairs. Would love to go back.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great Getaway Resort

Spent a week at Holiday Inn Resort at Montego Bay Jamaica... Friendly staff food amazing did 1 al la carte resturant .. and the Managers Dinner.. food was amazing we enjoyed the buffet ..choices were delicious fav was stuffed chicken and the turkey 😋 rooms were great except for no fridge and bottled water.. had to buy it but we kept our bottles and refilled at the buffet each day for morning coffee in our rooms .. Sandals Dunn's River: Wonderful Resort!

This is a smaller resort with a true tropical feel. The grounds were lush and very well maintained. Beach is on the smaller side but beautiful and there were always chairs available. Food was good and drinks were great! The only negative is that it was often a bit of a wait to be served at the bar. I think this was more of an understaffed issue rather than customer service. Hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Lots of great memories made

The staff at this hotel were all very kind and hospitable. With just a little respect and 1love the staff were all but willing to do anything that was needed to make our stay as memorable as possible. Thanks again Royalton Negril

Excellence Oyster Bay: Very nice resort with greater potential

We are regulars to the Excellence brand having tried all their places with the exception of this new resort. This is a nicely laid out modern resort. We stayed in the # 4 block overlooking pool and ocean. The room was clean and spacious and well appointed. Minibar service was great once you made it clear your preferences. If you are a beach fan you may be disappointed as the beach is not very long and it's narrow. There is not lots of space to hang in the sand unless you go with the Excellence c [... read more]lub. The pool area provided lots of options for lounging with little need to reserve and it was at 72 percent occupancy during our stay. The food and service was very good with only one instance of slow service in Spice that was rectified. Our favourite restaurants were the Grill, Chez Isabelle and the Lobster House. The bar service was also very good but excellent at the Martini and Ceilo bars. This resort is really a 4.5 star but with time it will be a true 5 star very soon in our opinion.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Good and bad

Amazing food, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms on the whole good but the bathrooms need a lot of work. Hot water for a shower was a novelty. If I hadn’t paid so much I’d rate it higher . Swim up bar was scummy

Riu Reggae: Riu Reggae not worth the time or money

It was awful. The highly acclaimed entertainment staff was the worst I have ever had! Sure they talked to everyone in the morning but with the exact same banter everyday to everyone. They had no skills to talk about. None. I had better entertainment at a high school musical. The worst part is that there is no music - not even at night. No dancing unless you can stay up long enough to trek down to the other resort after 11pm. Their shows only start at 10:00 pm. Imagine waiting three hours f [... read more]or a long drawn out show! They do have a live band by one pool for about an hour each day. It was uninviting. The pool they played at seemed exclusive to a hand full of guests. The other pool seemed to have more guests enjoying it, but I noticed no one ever used the washrooms - very gross. The foam party was a flop. The machine did not produce any foam. They didn' t even try to fix it. We had to ask why we could not get coffee or drinks at the buffet. We would sit there as long as possible and then most of the time get up and take coffee from the pots sitting at the waiting stations. A few times we got service. Let me make this clear - we spent a fortune on tips as we always do. The bar staff at the beach were trying their best to accommodate. However, the alcohol served is worse than in Cuba. The beach is probably the worst part of this resort. It's man made murky and lifeless. The rooms are okay. The food was okay. Book somewhere else - I am sure it will be better than this place.

it was so clean and the grounds are beautiful the staff are just amazing I love them all it was just what I needed was that relaxing time the rooms are very well kept It is one of my favorite places to go and will go bavk again The owners and management need to really appreciate all the hard work people on your staff I do not have any complaints about any of your staff they all treated me great and that us important to me when I travel alone I might add I was late getting into the Hotel on J [... read more]an 31/19 because if later leaving Toronto the room they gave me was not the one I wanted so I waited back in lobby for about an hour and a half and they did get me into the room I wanted so thank you for that

Hedonism II: Life changing

This resort has come a long way in the last 5-6 years since the new management took over. This resort goes well beyond the rooms, grounds and amenities, it is a place that provides a body positive experience to be who you are without pressure, prejudice or judgement. One should expect to experience a non stop party, see nudity and sexual behaviour.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome Resort

This was my first time at this resort. The grounds were simply amazing. The food was phenomenal. We never had a bad meal the whole time we were there. We mainly ate at the à la carts and the buffets in the morning. The rooms were huge and well laid out. The only thing lacking at the resort were the beaches. However, I am not much of a beach person to begin with so this did not bother me. The hotel itself is exceptional truly a five star.
