Hotel Mojito: Beautiful resort

My sister and I just returned from the resort Feb 13. It was beautiful. Both of us have been to Cuba many times. We cannot say enough about the staff. Chicio(Alexander) at the lobby bar remembered what we liked after one day. The grill guys were marvelous. Tasty omelets and grilled fish. And the pasta bar always great. This was the first Cuban resort that had creme caramel as dessert. My favorite thing was not having to race for chairs at either the beach or the pools. BTW there was an adult o [... read more]nly pool. I was sorry for the staff that they seemed lightly booked but we loved it. The "superior" rooms were well stocked with amenities drinks and beach towels. Look for the churo cart by pool restaurant in the afternoon.

Melia Cayo Coco: Overall good resort

Beach was amazing even with the wind. One dislike was the “reserving” of beds and chairs by the pool. Food in the buffet was plentiful and good; however, the al a cartel could have been better especially the beach bar al a carte. Vegetarian items at the al a cartes were not well noted even though there was apparently a vegetarian menu. When the vegetarian menu was requested, none of the restaurants knew about it.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing beach and friendly staff

We booked this resort partly because so many people had great things to say about it. I was impressed right off the bat. Jessica at the front desk was so friendly and actually asked if my bracelet was good or if I wanted it changed. This was a first, they usually just stick it on and cut off my circulation. They spoke really good English too. We had no hot water for the first couple of days so o went to tell them and they were really accommodating and changed our room. We moved and all was well [... read more], they even called to check on us later. The staff everywhere is friendly, from maids to bartenders. The best bartender in the resort is at the beach bar "La Marina" named Einer. The food is good, we always had something to pick from and it didn't seem that they ran out of anything.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Worst experience ever

Very poor service They served the same food every day for the whole week(reheated every time), food was never fresh, plenty of flies in the kitchen and always on the food Very very limited options, literally served eggplants for breakfast , lunch and dinner No ATM anywhere around the hotel and they also do not accept small currency for exchange Between lunch and dinner no snack options other than some dry sandwiches (flat white bread and a small piece of ham), there’s absolutely nothing e [... read more]lse Had to carry a plastic water bottle to refill with water as they always forgot to bring us water to the room in the morning They did not clean the room unless we asked for it Tried going to the gym three days in a row and there was no electricity, asked staff for help multiple times but nobody cared Overall , worst all inclusive resort we’ve been to

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing!

Had a great week. Resort is small so its easy to get around. Very clean. Rooms are fine. Nothing special. Beach is amazing. No trouble finding chairs. Had one pool day. Pool is small. We liked the beach better. Food is great. Mexican a la carte is great. Staff are friendly. Einer at La Marina is the man!!! He can mix a drink! We have never gone anywhere twice but we would go back here.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great resort , but understaffed

Great clean resort, excellent rooms, pools were great, beach is one of the nicest I’ve been to. Food was good for Cuba , however very hard to get a plate of food due to the poor layout of the buffet , buffet is far too small for the amount of guests.

Gran Muthu Imperial: great value all inclusive

Comfortable rooms with simple but tasteful decor. The restaurant food is better than average for Cuba. Pool was clean and very well maintained. The vegetation at the grounds are young but well maintained. The beach was nice but some corral rocks in some sections of the water may require water shoes.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Very pretty and well furnished Resort

This resort is the whole package, a great beach, fantastic food, the entire resort looks amazing (well deserved of the five star title), fun and entertaining shows nightly, great pools and a great choice of excursions. I recommend going on their excursion to Playa Pilar, in my opinion the BEST beach i've ever been to in my entire life, it is nothing short of beautiful and the snorkeling there is amazing. They took us about 10-15 minutes off shore to snorkel near some ship wreckage that was full  [... read more]of aquatic life. Some minor nitpicks about the hotel we stayed at: The magnetic cards were constantly de-magnetizing by themselves, despite being nowhere near objects that would do so. Over the course of our 7 day stay we had to remagnetize the cards three times. Secondly, the shower stall (while it feels amazing to use) has a gap between the floor and the door which will flood the bathroom and the room if you do not plug the gap with the end of a towel. This does not change even if you shower with low flow versus high. All in all, I would recommend this hotel but I would like to try a hotel at Playa Pilar the next time, as Gran Muthu Imperial's beach, while beautiful as well, falls short in comparison to Pilar's.

Sol Cayo Coco: Loved this Resort

We had a wonderful time at Sol Cayo Coco Resort. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The customer service people were around everyday to see if we needed anything. Also they wanted to know any suggestions that we would have to make our stay better and I felt like they genuinely wanted to listen to our suggestions and make any changes they could. The facility was very clean. Our room was nice and the house keeper always there asking if our room was good and if we needed anything. The [... read more] layout of the resort was simple and easy to get around, didn't have to waste time trying to find things. The 2 beaches at this resort were AMAZING. Its a hidden gem to have to 2 different beaches at the same resort. Bonus is that this resort is only 15-20 minutes from airport.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Awesome Getaway!

We had a great time at the resort!! It was clean, friendly staff, beautiful views, nice rooms and decent food. The Indian Al A Carte was our favourite. International was closed when we were there. Italian was good but seafood we found disappointing. We visited both lobster shacks near by (extra $) and they were well worth it if you enjoy lobster. We can't wait to go back with our kids next time!

Gran Muthu Imperial: Amazing resort

Excellent services, food and staff people. I did envoy everyday. The weather was fantastic. I would recommend this resort to my family and friends. Beaches and facilities are kept clean. More than anything else, Cubain taxi cars are fantastic. I will return in a short future with my family.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: I’ll never go back

I can’t even believe this resort was rated a 4 plus. We had to move rooms 3 times due to cockroaches , ants , blood stained sheets and mold . ( I have pics to back that up). There was no beach towels.. the couple we went with had same towels all week. Only reason we had new ones is because we had to move rooms . The resort is run down and needs updating. Should be rated a 3 at best .

Hotel Vigia: Mixed feelings

The hotel left a mixed impression. On one hand the room was good-airy, high ceiling, no mould, no mosquitoes, excellent water pressure on the second floor. People working there are really nice. On the other hand the food was one of the worst in quality and selection until the last day, then it suddenly was quite good! The cocktails and coffee were good. Is it difficult to collect fallen palm leaves and debris from the ground?- hardly a day work. No tennis table or billiard and not even a show every night. The one show I saw was from a local team was very skillful and professional. In general it feels that it takes a manager or an owner who is interested to make it work and at this moment it does not seem that there is such an interest. Of course the location is very good and a beach is perfect for long walks, joggings, swimming, wading. I saw several big fish of the pier and went snorkelling. Good potential in this hotel. Cuban people, please give leftovers to your cats. Without tourists they are starving. And fresh water please, the chlorine one is not good for drinking.

Hotel Playa Coco: Hotel Playa Coco

Not in anyway deserving of a 4 star! We moved after 3 days to another resort. The ceiling in the bathroom leaked. The shower curtain kept falling down. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. The phone wasn't working. The service was horrible. The bugs were biting in the dining and bedrooms! Our safe didn't work. Worst hotel ever!

Gran Muthu Imperial: Good comfortable Resort

This was a decent, comfortable hotel in a beautiful location. Check-in went incredibly smoothly, and the front desk staff were helpful throughout the week whether for changing money, ordering taxis, or buying wifi. The room was reasonably appointed. Bed was clean and comfy. Towels weren't replaced unless we asked (better luck than we had with beach towels which we were only able to swap once). And twice we had to ask for water bottles to be replaced, which were promptly delivered.  [... read more] Food was pretty good for Cuba. Especially if you stuck with Cuban style dishes (rice, chicken, pork, fish, etc.) A la carte's were decent - the "international" one was our favourite. The beach was excellent - and the servers down there were great at getting everyone taken care of. We didn't spend much time by the pool. The most annoying thing was the "saving" of chairs by other guests, which was extremely frustrating, especially when sometimes it appeared that the guests didn't even bother to use their reserved chairs until late in the day. This is more of a problem with the guests then the staff. If you want shade, make sure to get up early. Pilar beach is worth the bus trip. Amazing beach to spend a day at. We were there during the power outage, and having spent a lot of time in Cuba, I can say it was dealt with by the resort as well as can be expected. They kept everyone fed and watered, which is the most that can be asked. I think that people who are overly critical of the resort for the preparation for things like island wide power outages just don't know what the reality of Cuba is. I would return.

Gran Muthu Imperial: The Gran Muthu Imperial is really a 2 star resort (( honest review))

we arrived on 01/11/20 checked in dropped the bags in our ocean view room second floor and went to the beach wait there isn't one on the property its down coast 5 minutes via golf carts on site its a rock beach into the water we then checked out the buffet wow the food was awful I could not tell what kind of meat they were serving to be totally honest I would not feed this to my dogs ( animal cruelty) yes it was that bad Next we went to check out their new wine bar we saw advertised on th [... read more]e resorts website, we could not find it when we inquired about the location the staff told us that it was not open yet ( or built ) it is now taken down from the website we went back to our room and we had left our bags on the dresser and bed the bugs crawling all over our luggage was disgusting, I moved the beds and there were bugs on the wall behind the mattress we grabbed our luggage and went to the front desk and told them what was in our room and were told sorry we have no more rooms today we talked to our travel rep and said we are not staying here,,,, we were not refunded any money we were on the premises 2 hours we went to another adults only resort and had a good time this resort is said to be new but it is infested with bugs, food is terrible, no beach, I would not recommend anyone going to this resort as you will be disappointed DO NOT STAY HERE ! ! We are done with Cuba we will not go back This is how the star rating works in Cuba does the resort have a pool- 1 star does the resort have a beach- 1 star does the resort serve food - 1 star does the resort have a roof over the rooms - 1 star you get the idea its really a joke

Gran Muthu Imperial: You get what you pay for

This was our first time in Cuba. Of all the resorts we have been to, this one dropped the ball a bit. Beautiful rooms, wonderful staff, gorgeous beach, and pools. The food however, was disappointing. It would help greatly if the food in the buffets were labeled. Only a few were. We could hardly stick our fingers into all the sauces etc, to figure out what they were, when it’s a buffet. We had the same beach towel for the entire week because they ran out....not nice for pools covered in sand. We also had the same in room towels for 6 days, not a huge issue, but a second set would have been nice. And never a facecloth. It was fantastic weather though, and we enjoyed ourselves greatly.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great experience

We stayed at memories flamenco for 7 days and have absolutely no complaints ... the staff were great and the excursions were also amazing ..and the most amazing and clean beach ... would definitly go here again

Hotel Camino del Mar: Home away from home

My husband and I have gone to this resort 7 times, sometimes with children and other times by ourselves. This trip was for 3 weeks from Jan 18 - Feb 8, 2020. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. We did not have an issue with water or air conditioning. There is a block of rooms that don't have air but travellers are not put into these rooms as they are closed until the issue is fixed. For breakfast, there is an egg station and a pancake / french toast station. Bread is fresh and delicious. There are plenty of assorted cheeses, cold meats, jams and fresh fruit. There is a smoothie/juice station. At dinner, there is a fish grill and a meat grill where you pick your own cut of meat/fish and they cook it for you. There is a pizza and a pasta station. The salad fixings are abundant. Overall, the food is plentiful, hot and very good. The drinks are good. The service is excellent in the bars and in the restaurants/buffet. The rooms are older but they are very clean. Our bed was comfortable and we had no issues with hot water or air-conditioning. The staff are AMAZING, from the gardeners to the General Manager. All of them are what make this resort our home away from home. This resort is small and quiet and we absolutely love it. Hello to all of our Melia family (too many to mention by name) - we'll see you next year.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice resort

The week we went to cayo coco they had rations as in shortages...drinking water pop juice etc ... we were a group of 8 ladies that went ..there was no hot water for showers for most of the week ... It's a nice resort..the staff was awesome and did there best with what they had...overall could use an upgrade in the facilities as toilets.. water temperature etc. It asks if I would recommend this hotel to friends ..probably not right now ..maybe if they fix the problems and do some upgrades
