Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Gone downhill since our last visit

Staff was great, buffet and a la carts were amazing! The grounds are always perfectly kept. We were here about 5 years ago and it felt more “5 star” then. They no longer have robes in the rooms, which was just such a lovely thing to have, never had our mini bar stocked once during our stay, they leave 2 beers and 2 pop in your fridge, and that’s it. Coffee machine didn’t work and it was like pulling teeth to get a working one, phone in the room worked occasionally and was so staticky you [... read more] could barely hear, tv was of poor sound/picture quality. House keeping was minimal as well. It’s a beautiful place but definitely more of a “3 star” feeling.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very good resort for family with kids

The resort was wonderful with very helpful staff for myself. I booked with trip central through air Canada vacations. Eve the AC rep was very helpful to get a wheelchair ready for me at the different airports. And Juan the conseairage made sure i was on first floor near everything. As for the rest of the wedding party that booked separately. Flew AC and booked through the hotel it was a feasco with 2 little girls. Beach had large rocks in water that sometimes toes stubbed. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal-Mayan Riviera

We just spent a week at this resort and we cannot wait to return. First of all, the grounds are amazing, everything is impeccably tidy and beautiful. The entire resort is spotless, never once did I use the public washroom or eat in any of the restaurants and feel that it was dirty. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Small details like remembering our names and faces, and remembering favorite drinks were just some of the highlights. The pools are clean and b [... read more]eautiful. The activity staff are fun and do their absolute best to engage all ages in fun around the pool and on the beach. The food at the buffet was delicious and their is something for everyone, no matter how picky of an eater one could be. The a la carte restaurants serve top notch food with beautiful presentation. Our group was 11 people ranging from age 5 to 50 and there was something here for everyone. The Mexican people are very hard working and eager to please. This is my 8th all inclusive and 7th time to Mexico and by far it is THE BEST resort we have ever gone to. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Bahia!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Trip!

Such an amazing place! The weather was beautiful; the beach and pool were fantastic! The food was some of the best i've ever had. The restaurant MEAT had the best steak I think i've ever eaten in my life. The service was great as well, the longest you had to wait for a drink, even on a busy night, was maybe 5 minutes. You were also served on the beach and at the lobby tables by the awesome staff. The staff were the best! Derlin and Marlon to name names. Would definitely go again.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great resort@

We've stayed at this resort twice and have been very pleased both times. Great service, nice rooms, yummy food and awesome pools. A la carte restaurants were fantastic. The beach was very well maintained with plenty of available loungers no matter what time of day you go. We would definitely come again. Excellent bang for your buck.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beware

This resort was beautiful however 4 days in I got violently ill. 2 days later both my husband and I got violently ill. We spent the next 3 days in the hospital...where almost nobody spoke English. We were diagnosed with gastroenteritis ... Caused by the food according to the doctor. A week and a half later I'm still not fully well.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Family Vacation

This was our 9th vacation to a Grand Bahia resort. We love them! However this trip was not among my favorite. While nothing happened to make the experience bad we just noticed that on the weekend when the locals were let into the resort that our service fell short. I had not knowingly experienced them being let on the resort before and this time it was obvious that they were there. Once the weekend was over our experience was up to par again! The resort itself was beautiful as always and well kept. The bed was a bit too hard for my liking but to each their own I suppose. The food was not bad, some days it was cold when eating in the buffet. The room was always tidy and the staff were wonderful. Evening entertainment was great, the Circus Show is awesome. All in all, I love Grand Bahia Principe resorts and although it was not my favorite trip this time, I will return!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort! It is our home away from home

Amazing staff, We were taken care by the best staff "Angel" he was providing everything we needed.As well as the food was amazing I'm actually missing my morning omelette at the buffet LOL. We will definitely come back for this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: gorgeous resort

My stay at Bahia Principe in Mexico was the most luxurious holiday I have experienced. Our hotel was beautiful and clean. The food was so delicious. All the A la carte restaurants were top notch. The presentation was as impressive as the taste. The hotel staff were friendly and courteous. I can’t wait to visit again.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great stay

We just got back from our 7 day stay at Bahia Principe Tulum and it was very good. We would rate our experience as 4/5 for the following reasons: Pros: - the grounds are impeccably kept - each meal at the buffet had a large selection of food options - the pizza at dinner was especially good (very different from the lunch pizzas) - the Queen show was great - the Abba tribute group was amazing as well (same lead singer as Queen) - the flank steak at the Mexican a la carte was perfectly c [... read more]ooked and tasty - the fried rice at the teppanaki restaurant was so flavorful - the weeks activities were clearly scheduled and displayed in numerous places so it was easy to know what's happening, when and where Cons: - we were given a room with 2 double beds as opposed to the king room we booked - the double bed room had a door that connected to the adjacent room which made the walls seem paper thin, I mean so thin that you could hear luggage being zipped/unzipped. - when we changed rooms on the third day (to a king room) the AC was not working. It was 30+ and the AC was absolutely necessary. It was fixed (after numerous calls to the front desk) within 24 hours however this made for one extremely uncomfortable night. - the beach floor was quite rocky in places (apparnetly expected due to proximity to coral reef). Water shoes would be a good idea - drink service in the buffets was slacking at times Other: - our room was reasonably cleaned each day - staff were friendly and helpful - we received the best buffet drink service from Israel. - We visited Coba on occasion and it was much busier, we're glad we chose tulum. There was plenty to do but without the overwhelming crowds. - The beach, while not huge, was pleasant and quiet, although it could have used some activities on the beach (if you're on the beach you're kind of isolated and unaware of what's happening). - The water was great, they have barriers to break the waves so the water coming in is fairly calm. - We were happy that Tulum was very close to the Hacienda Doña Isabel, only a 5 minute walk. - The magic show was AMAZING! We would return.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Resort - Customer Service needs improvement.

The facility and grounds are very nice and well kept. The pool area is clean and neat. The food selection is great. Customer service is poor and needs much improvement. The room was kept ‘tidy’ at best with little attention.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: INCREDIBLE RESORT

My second time at the resort and it only got better! I absolutely love the the resort and am already planning my third return. The staff is amazing, always making sure you are being taken care of and extremely friendly. The entertainment completes your trip. They make you feel welcomed and at home while providing hilarious and fun entertainment. No one beats Angel, Willy, Hairon, Marlon, Stefany and Julio. You can't forget the bartenders at the Aquamarine pool. They are always ready to help you  [... read more]and have fun while working as well. Thank you Willy the bartender who always made sure we had something to drink and continuously cleaned all the glasses and anything around the pool. Can't wait to go back!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wasn’t impressed

For what I paid and what I got I would not go back. The Italian restaurant ran out of food when we had a reservation. Mosquitos were in my room ( lots of them). Everything closes early and you have to go to the village if you want to stay up.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: SIAN Kaan

We just returned from Tulum Mexico were we stayed at the Luxury Bahia Sian Kaan. The resort was beautiful and the rooms are very luxurious the maids were very efficient and fast. The mini bar was refilled daily with beer coke chips and liquor. The resort is nestled in the middle of the jungle and is very peaceful. The staff was very polite and never passed anyone without saying hola to you,There was a large selection at the buffet and several restaurants on the other 3 resorts that were there fo [... read more]r you to use ,The only problem we had was they anted you to sit for 90 mins and listen to the sales pitch about timeshares .They said if we went we would recieve a voucher for a 5day 4 night stay at one of the resorts well of course this never happened.Entertainment was at the Coba and Tulum resorts which was a trolley ride away.I would highly recommend the Sian Kaan for a quite relaxing vacation at a adult only resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great vacation

The grounds were beautiful, well maintained and very large. Staying at Ambar allowed us to go to the other sister resorts which was nice if you wanted a change. Did the swim out room which was definitely worth it as I was in it everyday. Loved the restaurant m.e.a.t definitely worth it. The foam party and silent disco were the two highlights of activities for me. Wonderful trip overall and great staff.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing resort

Very nice hotel, very clean and friendly staff. Great food and drinks we enjoyed a lot will consider Bahia Principe in the future. We enjoyed all the alacart dinners. It was nice and safe for all ages.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Resort, amazing staff

The staff were amazing and the resort was very clean! The events they had we're enjoyable and they had lots of little things happening around the resort. I would definitely come back. Only thing I would like to see is their rooms updated (at least the one I stayed in)

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing staff!!

Grand Bahia principe aquamarine is nothing less than amazing, the entertainment staff go above and beyond to make sure you are having a great time. They are all extremely nice especially Willy, angel, marlon, stephany, Julio and hairon. The bar and restaurant staff are extremely nice.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good experience

The overall resort area was amazing, with a lot of space, nice pools and beach area. the buffet and specialty restaurants were also good. However, i did feel that customer service could be improved. For instance the check-in process was horrible by the time we arrived a lot of people were checking in and out, so the hotel staff was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to handle large number of customers. Also, the first room we were assigned the AC, phone and ceiling fan were not working, so it  [... read more]took 4 hrs for the hotel staff to assign us a new room. Also, not having AC or ceiling fan working at the reception area makes it very uncomfortable to wait in a queue. when i asked the reception staff they mention the ceiling fan had been out of service for a few months. The overall stay was good, but we have received better customer service in other resorts.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: HUGE RESORT

This was a family vacation, very clean and kid friendly resort... 4 Hotels, have to use golf carts to get around, the carts shuttle you around they have designated stops and places that they go, not much wait, they ran very frequently. The evening entertainment at the Lobby and at the patio was immensely enjoyed. The only downside, we wish more of the staff was able to communicate better, finding amenities was not easy. Overral it was a great stay.
