Riu Santa Fe: Beautiful Resort

The hotel was beautiful. The resort was quite large so there was a fair amount of walking. The grounds were very well kept. The pools were very nice but looked a bit dirty at times, I think because they were always full of people. We were in building #7 with Oceanview, and it was fairly noisy with alot of partying going on. This was our 1`st time at a larger resort and would prefer smaller resorts. Riu Reggae: Not what I was expecting but still OK

We thought the hotel looked nice but we were expecting to see something more spectacular for a 5 stars hotel. The sand on the beach was rough and there was a lot of sea weed. We also booked a day trip but they made a mistake on the time for the bus pick-up and we had to re-schedule for another day because the pick-up time was earlier than what was on our bill. We waited at the lobby for an hour before a representative could be reached. The pools were very nice and clean.

Riu Negril: This Resort is amazing - we will be back!!!!

My husband and I went to this resort for our 6 year wedding anniversary and we are so glad we did. It was amazing!!! Our travel agent recommend this resort and she picked the most perfect resort for us. The food was soooo good - I think I gained weight on vacation. We tried the Asian restaurant and the steakhouse ( I had a rib eye steak in Jamaica - yum). The buffet has so much food and all of it was so good too so we liked going there more. OMG the beach - WOW- the resort was in a bay so the water for the most part was very calm - you could walk around in water and bottom. We saw a large star fish, crabs, sting ray. So cool !! Plus every once in a while you have a local come and sing some Jamaican tunes with their guitar - not loud - but lovely to listen to while relaxing on the beach. People were singing along and dancing. The atmosphere is so great. They have the "fun" team who will keep you entertained all week. you can join on activities or you can watch - activities were on the beach and at pool. The beach party Monday night was so fun!!! Local Reggae music mixed with top hits made everyone have a great time - bar down there on beach too made it so easy to have a blast. THE PEOPLE - they are what made this resort and Jamaica so amazing for us. They are so friendly. Laugh with you - joke around - sing - they truly care that you are having a good time. A few people that stuck out to us was Claudia in the sports bar, Lamar the taxi driver, and Famous the entertainer. Thanks RIU Negril for an amazing vacation - we will be back to see you all soon. This time we are sharing this amazing experience with family and friends.

Riu Palace Baja California: Modern Resort

The hotel was clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Tips are expected. The buffet food had good selection with chefs available cooking non-stop. The food at the buffet is the same every day except for one station. There’s no nice way of saying this but; The restaurant selections were minimal and the food was terrible. The suite was nice and clean. We had to call for water and coffee separately to be refilled by different service staff as housekeeping does not automatically do that when they  [... read more]clean your room. That was very time consuming and took away from our time enjoying Los Cabos. We hardly slept the week that we stayed since the noise travels throughout the hotel (Bring Ear plugs). Also the resort next door the Santa Fe has pool parties Monday Wednesday Friday Saturday from 2pm-7pm which is great as long as you don’t want to have an afternoon nap since you heard everything. The activities in the pool were fun but it was always the same activities every day. The pools infinity pools are beautiful but they are not heated and were freezing. The drinks at each bar varied in quality. If you went to the same bar the drinks were never made the same. The best drinks were upstairs away from the pool at the Martini bar. Staffing around the pool was lacking and the staff members had a lot of people to serve it turned out to be better to go to the bar yourself. The gift shop has minimal selection of items so if you need anything best to bring it with you or go shopping in town. The SunWing staff were amazing throughout our entire stay any questions we had and any excursions we took they helped us out which made our vacation more enjoyable.

Riu Palace Aruba: 5 Star Resort!

The resort was absolutely beautiful! The group of 10 loved the fantastic views from our rooms, the meals, the Caribbean Sea, the people that worked there and the entertainment. This is my 8th time coming to Aruba. Aruba is my favourite Caribbean Island and I have travelled extensively. I hope to return again to Aruba in the future.

Riu Santa Fe: Great resort

The resort was amazing. Clean and staff were very courteous. Food was great. Fun fun fun. Excursions were good and our Sunwing rep. Was very helpful . I would recommend this resort to everyone . The beach was always clean. Drinks were very good. I will go again

Riu Santa Fe: AWESOME

This hotel had something for everyone. Adults only themed parties, splash pad for kids or relax on the beach. Food was fantastic and the a la cartes were excellent. 24 hour sports bar came in handy. Did one excursion which went very smooth. Felt safe downtown Cabos and San Jose. Met many fellow Canadians and wasn't surprised to hear that many people we met have come to this resort because its excellent.I know this was my first time here but it won't be my last.

Riu Republica: Very nice resort!

Resort was very updated and clean! Beach was amazing! So much to do all the time! Food was excellent! Love the restaurants and that you don’t have to make reservations! Some staff could have been a little more friendly but all worked hard.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great Resort

Very clean hotel, minutes from the airport. The rooms were very nice. The food in the buffet was good with a great selection. We liked that we did not have to make reservations to dine in the 3 restaurants on site.

Riu Emerald Bay: Perfect place to escape the wild parties of Cancun

This resort is perfect for families and couples that want a quieter vacay. What really made it was the employees Eduardo the bartender and Alejandro in the buffet most employees try to learn your name and learn ur favorite drink. The poolbar is relaxing and gets lots of sun but u do need ur own music. The Sports Bar however is HORRIBLE ! U have to pay for the games that are super old and broken ! It stole my money and the hotel wasn't able to pay me back. I did like the buffets but would I prefe [... read more]rred more fine dining that they did not offer a la carte. But all in all it was a lot of fun and SUPER CLEAN! I really would go back. U guys need to check out the block party that happens right next to the resort which is the band music people hear its alot of fun.

Riu Guanacaste: Wonderful resort - would return

This was a wonderful resort, surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. The food was great, the staff were amazing and always happy to help. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. We would certainly return.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Execellent Resort

The grounds were beautiful ,roomy accommodation, excellent foods, beautiful beach. The weather was very good except it could be warmer. The water (sea) is also on cool side and quite rough (compare to Cancun, or other Caribbean beaches ). We took a two towns and glass bottom boat ride ,8 hours trip and found there wasn’t much to see in the towns except the boat ride. In all the resort accommodations were excellent but Los Cabos itself is not an interesting place to visit.

Riu Palace Jamaica: excellent resort

Riu Palace was very nice resort Everyone and everything was spectacular weather was great all week great selection of places to eat and staff was helpful courteous rooms were very clean overall a very pleasant holiday

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Good

It was good but had higher expectations of the resort. Had a room with a very poor view . Asked for a different room wasn’t able to be accommodated. Staff was a bit rude compared to other resorts I’ve been to in the past

Riu Reggae: Amazing Resort

The Hotel is very clean, the grounds are very lovely, the rooms are nice and modern, the service is always there to help you, the food is excellent and the shows a great, I had a great time🌴The beach was clean!

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Wonderful Resort!

We stayed here for 10 days and it was a amazing vacation. From the fast easy check in, front desk was awesome. Our room was oceanfront and so beautiful, the view was beautiful, it is worth the extra money for oceanfront room. The food was so good st the buffet that we didn’t bother with the other restaurants. The staff were so great they took care of us and by the end of our stay they always had our table ready with extra touches, like hot sauce and flowers! Riu Playa Blanca: Nice Resort - Disappointing Beach and Weekend population

Resort was very nice, rooms were spacious, grounds kept nice, food was good. Pool turns bathing suits green. Beach was not as picture shows, black and too hot to even be on most of the time. Most disappointing was that it seemed they opened the doors to additional locals just for the weekend, everything on Sat & Sun was too busy and crowded, a very different crowd. Shows were very loud, if you want a quiet night - request a room away from the theater and Ocean View rooms are not typical, you ca [... read more]n see the ocean but you are not facing it or even near it in most cases. Good time, but more disappointments than positives. I would probably stay at another Riu but if they're open for the weekend to anyone, perhaps not.

Riu Emerald Bay: Beautiful resort something for everyone

The resort is beautiful and was super great value. We enjoyed taking walks down long beach as well as visiting various pools. We could find a quiet area to read or go to the adult pool to enjoy a drink and some fun action. While we are not ones to do the various daily activities …plenty offered daily. Buffets offered plenty of choices and staff provided amazing Service. Our room was beautiful with all room being ocean view. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Nice resort

We had to ask to have our room changed because we were overlooking a horse barn even though we paid extra for an ocean view room. Also, I think the resort should be more upfront about the amount of stairs and long distance it is to get to the dining or the pools.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great trip but not what we expected

Although we had a great time with our friends that came with us on our vacay the riu did not stand up to it’s five star rating to us. We have been quiet a few all inclusives now and this was bi far the smallest. There wasn’t much to do and I found we didn’t get much service out of anyone we don’t expect much but when u go for dinner it would be nice for someone to re fill our Water or even ask if we needed anything else to drink this I’d the first time I have gone away not willing to [... read more] tip as much . Also on day three they opened up the resort to locals for night stays and day passes so we couldn’t get a drink at the bar or even sit In the pool as there was just so many people.this was our first trip that on day 6 we were ready to come home this isn’t really the place to go if you want to keep busy and have a good time although the food was great everyday it never changed . I won’t be going back if this is what they consider a five star I would hate to see what a 4 star looks like
