Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Not as Sunwing advertizes, misrepresented in the marketing of this resort

Pros: - Service and the people who work there are wonderful - Beach is excellent - Lobby bar is great. - Maids and butlers are wonderful. - Snack bar grill is good. Cons: - Food in general...... but this is not a problem for me, and understandable after the pandemic. - Cockroaches, many of them, in our rooms, in the lobby, everywhere. Got bitten by them as they were inside the bed, on the walls, around the floor, etc. This creates a major health hazard, hygene concern and many other  [... read more]health related challenges. - Run down rooms, grey worn down towels, linen have holes. - The manager chooses who to speak to while he does his rounds talking to the tourists......he targets a specific kind of tourist....there is preference from his part.....would be good if he talked to a variety of people there. He is nice though. I do hope things improve as this was a very good resort before and now at the most a 3.5* maximum given the present circumstances. Sunwing should warn tourists about the cockroach infestation.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great Resort

Good food on every meal. Never shortage of food. Very clean resort. Pool was always clean. Beautiful beach. Evening shows were usually reasonably good. Wifi internet worked well most often from most locations. Room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Would return again and again.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Excelente Resort

Excelente Hotel, fui con mi esposo a celebrar su cumpleaños, nos encantaron todas las instalaciones,muy moderno y muy bonito!! El servicio súper bueno, la piscina preciosa y el servicio de los camareros en la piscina buenisimo. Las bebidas en todos los bares muy buenas. Los shows de la noche muy profesionales!! Buffet needs more variety - red meat/steak...different types of fish other than sea bass (ie smoked salmon..tuna) mini bar was never stocked iwth pop /beer like in previous Cuba Iberostar resorts Every bar was running out of beer and 'cocktails' every day..very strange as this never seemed to be an issue at previous Cuban Iberostar resorts previous years buffet restaurant was too warm..a/c did not work well..along with too many flies landing on food/table face etc. disturbing every me [... read more]al More variety at breakfast..no smoothie station.. Brisas Guardalavaca: Fair

Hotel is ok, food is not, reception crew is super bad, room is not ventilated properly, mold is very bad, transfer bus experience is bad, driver would not help with taking out luggage at the airport, while they are asking for money ???

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Iberostar Playa Pilar

The resort was absolutely beautiful. Grounds were beautifully kept. Rooms were very clean. The dinning room for the buffet was a quite warm -a/c was not working properly during our week stay and had a lot of flies flying around our table and bothering our mealtimes. The beach was absolutely amazing and tranquil..spent most of our day there instead of pool decl/ The pools' temperatures were way too warm and needed more cleaning as algue was clouding the water. Tryp Cayo Coco: A wonderfull resort

I have been many times to this resort the staff are wonderful go out of there way for you best beach in the world rooms are old but clean food I was always able to find something I liked remember it's Cuba and you get what you pay for I will be returning thank you tryp

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Resort

This was my 6th time visiting this resort and I won't go anywhere else. The grounds are well maintained. There is always something to eat and displayed beautifully. Way to go Joll. Customer service Patchy, Pedro and Jeanette where always there to make sure our stay was comfortable. The were very cheerful and there with a good morning or good day, everyday. My room was cleaned everyday and I was very happy with it. I highly recommend Grand Sirenis Cayo Santa Maria.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Nice resort

The resort is well laid-out. Lobby bar was very good at supplying the drinks we wanted, no shortages. The buffet had a good choice, so we were always able to eat to our content. The a la carte Italian and Japanese restaurants were also very good. Although it was indicated wifi throughout the resort, I was never able to logon from our room #4222. We were able to logon only in the lobby. The room was nice except they didn't wet mop the room for the full week that we were there, resulting in dirty  [... read more]floors. Also had problems with the television and remotes which they had to replace. It would be good if they sprayed the principal walkways because of the prominence of bugs. By the time I got back home, I had approximately 15 bug bites on my legs that still itch even after 5 days back home. I would recommend bringing a can of bug repellent with you when you go. The pool that was near our room was very nice and had swim-up bar and a snack bar. It was also possible to go for a long walk on the beach.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Amazing, clean, beautiful

We loved everything about this hotel, people, cleanliness, availability of everything, pools, beach, entertainment . No complaints. Have made some lifelong friends with a few staff. Will definitely return

Melia Varadero: Amazing vacation!

Not only Melia Varadero met our expectations, it actually exceeded them! The hospitality and service during our stay was exceptional. Everything, from the accommodation to the delicious dining options were impeccable, and the beauty of the beach goes without saying. We had friends who went at Melia Varadero before us, and they told us about the picture perfect vacation they had. And we could experience it as well. We decided to upgrade our vacation to Level, and it was worth. Breakfast and lunch daily at TexMex is reserved for Level clients. And it is the most picturesque view you'd experience. The bar from the 5th floor, only for Level clients, is the perfect place to have a cocktail and a chat before heading out to dinner. We recommend Melia Varadero to anyone who wants to spend days being spoiled and relaxing on the beach or at the pool.

Club Tropical: Compact Family Resort

Everything is close to the Ocean. The water was between 90 and 95. The staff is very good from the front desk to the management, to all the waiters and waitresses. One thing about a smaller Hotel. You meet alot of friends. We had a 2 bedroom apartment on the water. There was 3 of us. The drinks were excellent from the Pina Coladas to the Sangria. Breakfast was excellent , Lunch and dinner changed daily. We went out for dinner 3 times in a week. Lobster and Lobster pizza was our favourite. I just [... read more] had a knee replacement so exercising in the warm ocean water was great, very helpful. I want to thank everybody at Club Tropical for there hospitality. I want to thank Kevin at Tripcentral. The only problem we had was the travelling. Waiting in lines at the Cuban Airport for 2 hours arriving and leaving. We wish we could do more for our Cuban friends.

Sol Caribe Beach: very nice Resort

I was at this hotel for 10 days, loved it, the beach and site are stunning, water warm and calm during day and get a little bit rougher late afternoon always availability for palapas or shade at the pool The food was good. always something to eat,,,the fruits and ice cream delicious, and was during low season the only think no coke during my stay, so no cuba libre lol The room was very nice, clean with a beautiful view , The entertainment was ok, it needs a little bit more spunk  [... read more].. ;)- Overall no complaint :) recommend this resort valerie

Playa Costa Verde: LOVE this resort

Our Party of 5 cannot wait to go back to PCV! The staff treat us like family and we try to treat them right back! But holy moly, it was HOT the first week of June! We treasure our short time with our Cuban family. From the front desk staff, the cleaning staff, to Jesus at the pool bar, they are all fabulous with us and our girls. Melia Internacional: Amazing Beach

The hotel is very nice. It is huge. The pool is also very big. The beach is breathtaking. Service in the bars and at the beach (I was Level guest) was good. Wait staff were friendly when they got to know you. The food in the restaurants was okay ... there was a cockroach issue in every restaurant, including the main buffet, which was disappointing to say the least. I reported my concern to the conceirge who advised the hotel was aware of the problem and was working to remedy it. Cockroache [... read more]s were walking up the legs, beside where the plates are kept, to the buffet, they were also crawling across the floor in the main buffet and on chairs in two of the eating places where I saw them myself. Two friends were sitting eating breakfast and had two walking across their table. The rooms are nice and the beds were changed every day which is always nice. There was a problem the last night where we were left one towel and went and asked for another and it never did arrive at the room. Strawberries were non-existent and some of the food on the a-la-carte menus was not available. The smaller buffet also ran out of black tea on our last day there. The entertainment is amazing! The activities staff is always present, happy and engaging. All in all, a good spot. It has to be remembered that this is Cuba and they do their very best to make your stay comfortable and meet your needs and expectations and some things are just beyond their control. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: 2024 25 May - 6 June

I was there 25 of May till 6 of June. The weather was mixed, sun and rain. No wind. The room was fine. Internet, AC, electricity, running water, (cold and hot!) were flawless. Clean, no insects (almost). Quit and safe, first floor. Food was mixed. It was enough fruits and vegetables.but no eggs, no fish, no meat, no chicken. Some knees, elbows and semi digested fish, and a lot of mishmash of yesterday's food.The bar was OK, snacks were above average. The store has cigarettes and booze. The [... read more] pool is very shallow. There is another pool of normal depth, but it is "club only"now.The beach is the best possible.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Love the Daiquiri

Resort was beautiful! Nice and small for those with younger children or for those that don't want to walk lots to get from point A to point B. Lobby was beautiful and open. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Beach was AMAZING. Lots of chairs and shade. Food was good but flies were terrible!! Staff were so friendly especially the lady working the beach bar...knew our name by her next shift. I would 100% recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation. Look forward to going back again soon!

Vila Gale Cayo Paredon: Very good resort

I picked this location because of the outstanding fishing opportunities in Paredon and this hotel is in an ideal spot to take advantage of this. This hotel met all of my expectations. The facility is new. The lounge/common areas were spacious and had a nice open exposure to the outdoors while offering shelter from the tropical sun and showers. Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Nice vacation

Grand Sirenis is located in a white long beach with crystal water. Room is modern, clean every day. Food is modest, drinks available. Staff is friendly. Some snorkeling with standard fish set available. We will come back.
