Catalonia Montego Bay: Awesome Resort

We had the honor of going to Montego Bay to the Holiday Inn and resort from Feb. 1-9 2019. The people who work at this resort were amazing. From the first step into the resort the people were friendly and helpful. We took a taxi to the Harley Davidson store, the customer service agent there called and our taxi was there in minutes. Melia Braco Village: Outstanding Resort

I was planning to go to DR but just couldn’t find a resort that wowed me. I hooked up random with Marcia on trip Central and she worked with us . Finally I told her so don’t want a big resort or high rise. She said I have the place for you. We looked at Melia Braco Village. Bingo !! it was exactly what we were looking for. The resort is Spectacular. A big hug to our friends, Dean Paul, Alex, Eric, Dwight and Abigail kicked my butt on days I couldn’t eat another thing we did Water Aerobics, bike in water spinning. These 2 were so inspirational and friendly professional! Lovely, Lovely. The food was exceptional, the restaurants quaint and clean and comfortable. Every night was a different event at the street and experience. We were there Super Bowl. What a great job they did. I felt like I was on the Red Carpet. They do not go cheap on anything at this resort. They make you feel right at home. The food is not skimping on anything. To all the people at the front office all the way to our beach area, pool guys, cleaners, sweepers, DJ , bartenders. Thank you Thank you. My holiday was exceptional because the care and love you put into ur work believe me it shows. You never feel like u are bothering the staff. They are laughing, and talking to you as if u have been friends forever!!! I hated saying good bye so I won’t. Until next time . Everything Arie Mon. Catalonia Montego Bay: This is not a 4.5*

The staff are very helpful and the rooms were well cleaned. There was a good variety of food for vegetarians. There was only one adult swim up bar and it was too small for swimming. I did not enter this pool for 3 days in a row due to the milky white scum floating in there. The washroom door did not close completely. The washroom was so tiny only one person could enter at a time. Out of 7 days there was hot water only one day for a shower. Very expensive. Should only be a 3* or less.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Fantastic vacation

Highly recommend this resort....would definitely go back ! The trip from the airport to the resort was over an hour but very interesting. The only complaints are "the nightly entertainments" were not the best & in the morning, if you were not early at the beach, there were not enough chairs.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Resort was alright, various complaints from different vacationers.

The hotel staff we're very pleasant and accommodating. In our party of 30 plus various complaints about room(s). Definitely washrooms very small, no water in our room(s). Feel the cost of this stay was way over priced in comparison with other all inclusive for half the price and much more exquisite resort. Also the Ala Carte restaurants were so overbooked that meals were being done at 9pm, so we never got in to any of those except Japanese for the bachelerette party. Entertainment was great as well, every evening. Give this resort a 3.5 Feeling $1800.00 was way over the top for this stay.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Best resort!

This was our 3rd vacation with Hyatt Ziva. The experience did not disappoint us. The resort and its staff have brought us back 3 times in the past 6 years, and we are returning next year. There was nothing ....absolutely nothing to critique. From the time we entered the resort to the time we left we witnessed customer service at its best. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great value - luxury treatment

Overall, a great vacation for either young or old. Martine Reid of Trip Central took care of all the details, making the booking easy. Lots to do at Bahia, and a vast selection of food to suit my sensitive dietary needs (good quality healthy food selection and preparation was my priority and that was thankfully met). Royal Golden option is worth it - you get your own concierge, your own check-in office where you sit down with drinks and check in and book all your reservations, your own beach  [... read more]towels, robes & slippers in your room, lots of drinks all the time, and a discount at the spa. The only thing I would nitpick right off the bat is the room cleaning & restocking was strangely inconsistent (we were in the royal golden ocean view section 18, 5th floor). Examples: We booked two rooms in this section. Room A received the complimentary bottle of rum, Room B didn't; Room B received coffee daily, Room A didn't until the very last day; both rooms were without any floor bath mat and/or hand towels/face cloth at least one day out of the week; Room B had the toilet cleaned, while room A didn't for two consecutive days! Who knows what else wasn't done, but I didn't dare dwell on that thought...and we did tip in US $ every day for both rooms. Now, with that awkward part out of the way, I will say this: The wraparound pool is great, I joined the aqua-aerobics, which I enjoyed. Note the pool is not heated, so you need to work up a sweat to stay warm. Tip: bring a small beach ball to play catch. The grounds are very pretty, with well cared for gardens to offer lots of perfect family photo ops. The beach is so close, you roll out of bed and you are there (tip: go out early before breakfast to pick the perfect lounge chair spot in the shade). Note: in Jan/Feb, the ocean water in Runaway bay is cold (if you are used to the warm Cuban waters), so it's best btwn. 10am-12. Tip: wear water shoes and enter the ocean water from the west side of the beach closer to the far beach bar where the sand is smooth with no rocks upon entering the water (there are too many little jagged rocks at the mouth of the water along the east side towards the water park). The a la carte restaurant La Dolce Vita was the best, for location (it's on the beach), greatest service & top notch authentic food. Don Pablo had great fish dishes and appetizers, but their steak wasn't up to par, and they didn't have the flambe banana dessert, so we settled for the apple dessert - I have never been served a tougher more rubbery apple core in all my life (that is the part we toss away/feed the squirrels). Orquidea main buffet restaurant was grand, with great service & great food & great coffee (exceeded my expectations, and I am a picky eater). Tip: go to meals early when they first open (7am, 1pm, 6pm) and be the first in line at the grill station to get whatever they are cooking, it's always good no matter what they put on the grill. Tip: try the local Jamaican fruit (Jamaican apple, star apple, papaya, pineapple, soursop), some taste like bland lichees, but it's the island taste and packed with vitamins, and goes great with the drinks. Tip: for water, we were still careful to drink only bottled water, just to be safe. The nightly entertainment is good, go see the Michael Jackson tribute show if offered, catch the real steel band, and do some dancing at the beach party / lobby party / night club at the village for that real Jamaican vibe. With all this plus excursions, the week went by fast.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great place

We went 2 adults and 2 children age 3 and 5. Beach was fantastic, pool fantastic, waterpark great too. The staff were awesome. We had a wonderful time. Lots of night activities for the kids. We never made it to a show though since the kids are young and it starts later.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Awesome resort

We just got back on February 9th. As far as the resort goes the food is good, drinks are a plenty, rooms were satisfactory, the only complaint if I have one was there is not a long enough beach to go for a long walk. We did enjoy our week spent there very friendly staff.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: Beautiful resort

We spent Feb 1-8 at the Azul and we loved it! The staff was great , friendly and professional . The beach was really nice , water clear and warm . The drinks were outstanding and food really good too . Loved the Ackee restaurant and the jerk chicken and pork at Garfield’s should not be missed . We had a premium room and found it super clean and cool . The turn down service was a really nice touch . Thanks for the great week !!

Jewel Paradise Cove: Wow,as perfect as it gets!!!

Perfectly aged,gardens beautiful,buildings good shape,pools very good x 3 pool bars, my wife and I did 2 restaurants and buffet all good quality food! Resort has lovely boardwalk & 2 small beaches 1 quiet, 2nd floor bar above restaurant/boardwalk open air great views of ocean , resort has accommodation for all , weddings,bdy, anniversary/ meetings... Going Back!!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing resort

We absolutely love this resort. We have been twice now and highly recommend staying here. The first time we stayed on the Don Pablo adults only side and it was fantastic and so worth it. So many added perks and the pool party was bumping. The private beach with butler service was a nice touch. This time we went with family and the water park is incredible. It kept the kids busy all day. The beach access was extremely close and made the view extra beautiful. The buffet on the beach serves the  [... read more]best jerk chicken I have ever had. It’s a gorgeous spot to enjoy a tasty lunch. The outdoor pavilion with the theatre stage and souvenir shops was ideal. Every night they have an event going on. The beach party was incredible and one of the best evenings we had was there. The staff are welcoming and so nice. The staff took time to interact with my nephews and by the end of the week became friends with them. This was a family hit with all that came. We will definitely be back to the Bahia!

Sunset at the Palms: Great resort

The grounds were incredible, if you're into looking at plants it's the place to go. Great beach, wonderful food and a very helpful staff. Would recommend the resort for anybody looking for a nice quiet vacation, not really a party place.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Incredible Vacation

The Iberostar RoseHall Beach Resort and their staff are incredible! we had a fantastic time with a perfect mix of relaxing and great entertainment. Food was great, with great variety- the chefs and wait staff always there to answer questions. Entertainment crew was SO MUCH FUN offering a little something for everyone *my only suggestion would be for them to maybe "post" what they have going on- because its so much and easy to miss something you want to do!* The drinks were delicious! (huge shou [... read more]t out to Anthony at the deepblue pool bar for keeping us topped up and having some fun conversations) The beach was crystal clear and we were able to walk between the three iberostar resorts and in my opinion the "beach resort" definitely had the BEST , clearest beach! all in all it was a great week of sun and fun and will definitely reccomend to friends and family! the only dissapointments we had was construction while we were there and although it could be loud at times we were intrigued to see what they were doing! and the wait staff on the pool deck often did not bring us our drinks requested- but the other bars are within a very short vacinity so easy to get our own.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great resort!

Stayed for 9 nights. Nice clean, friendly resort. Large property, not so friendly if you have accessibility concerns. Great food and drinks. Staff accommodating with requests. Would go again. Lots of beach area...clean clear water. Snorkeling was great right off the beach. Great beach towel service, never had an issue getting clean towels. Lots of chairs on beach.

Riu Reggae: Great times

Rooms were clean,peoples are happy,beach and food were very satisfying,the entertainment could have started sooner,a bit of a lull,between supper,sunwing was amazing experience , more music at the swim up bar,for sure!

Rooms on the Beach Negril: Best Authentic Jamaican Breakfast Ever!!

Good value for money. The resort grounds are well kept and the room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our greatest experience was having the most delicious authentic Jamaican Breakfast ever and we couldn’t leave without commending the chef who we met personally.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Wonderful time!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ochi Sandals, Jamaica mon! The food was fabulous, our room was terrific and the grounds were pristine! The staff bent over backwards to entertain us and were extremely welcoming! We had absolutely beautiful weather for the 7 days we were there and we highly recommend this resort!

Sunset at the Palms met and exceeded our expectations. Friendly helpful staff, excellent food, service, comfortable bed, great bath, beautiful beach...........I give it a 5 out of 5. Totally a great vacation. Wonderful people

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

The grounds were well kept, staff was friendly, security always walking around and very polite, food was good, pool was crowded but very clean and bartenders great. The beach area was amazing...shallow roped in area and calm. Plenty of space between the chairs so you have your space. Cleaning crew very thorough. Overall it was a great vacation and would recommend.
