Grand Riviera Princess: Beautiful resort!
We started our trip from airport to the resort with a negative, luggages have been lost, between 2 stops, I hope they retireved their bag, I know I would have been angry. Instead of a 45-50min drive we had an almost 3hrs, we arrived around 01:00.pm night at the reception. The receptionists were nice, we had the room pretty quick, nice room, clean. The next day we found out we couldn't lock the door of our room, and we went to ask to change the room. They were understanding, we changed it with a [... read more]room on the 1st floor, same clean, nice room.
Very cute wild animals allnaround the resort, coatis, deers, lizards, spider-monkeys and of course some cats. All rhe animals are friendly but not recommend to approach, but the cats 😊
A lot of activities, sports, we went to the gym, coach Ricardo very attentive with us, cool, very nice young men, I recomend going to his classes. He has yoga on the beach, fitness and some other gym activities. The pools are super nice, they were full almost all the time, the activities at the pools so fun, zumba in the water, I recomend, it is, so much fun.
Also i recomend walking the beach, beautiful beautiful beaches, they were clean, white sand 💯
We went to a few "a la carte" restaurants, I recomend to go if you, have time, you can enjoy some good food, drinks and fun!
Miso Teppanyaki, La Vaqueria, La Hacienda, all nice and the food excellent!
The walk from the rooms to the beach, to the restaurants, it is not bad, 10minutes max we enjoyed walking every morning, lunch and night, the alleys are clean, beautiful.
Last day we were told to be in the lobby for the bus at 16.10 and the bus came after 17:00, it was not too comfortable to wait in 30 degrees hot in denim, t-shirt, and snickers, but this is Air Canada Team, not blame the hotel. I would sugest the hotel to have a shuttle to bring their guests to their resorts and back to the airport, it would be a very good addition and help for the turists.
All in all a very nice first experience here, I would go back and yes I will recommend 💯ðŸ‘

Grand Riviera Princess: Amazing resort
The resort in general is fantastic- the animals, the grounds are vlean and taking care og every day by workers. The customer service is ok, except that some people need to underatand that november is not the season yet so the hotel lacks on workers and service sometimes. The rooms are clean even if they need some maintenance sometimes, for the price it's ok. If you want luxury go to more expensive hotels and pay 50% more.
The food is plenty, you can ALWAYS gind something to eat..sometimes you [... read more]wait in line few minutes, but not a problemmtry to relax, you're on vacation, you are not late anywhere...unless you have a trip booked, but then you wake up earlier and you'll be ok. I found the food tasty, warm, diverse, and plenty!
The beach is great..there's sand and water and plenty of chairs for everyone. There is nothing you can do about the smell or algae, as hurricane season just ended beginning of november-it's normal...if you do some research you stay informed and know what you pay for.
The servicea are good, tge workers are paid in peanuts compared with us...so they could use a bit of appreciation for the hard work.
I would like to thank few people who went above and beyond to help: Alejandro from reception, Andrea and David from tbe buffet, Ricardo from the gym for his pilates and yoga classes, Marco from Coco-Bongo, and every single dancer from the entertaining team. Bartendera are very nice in general given the fact that sometimes are overwhelmed and under-tipped.
The animals are my favourite part of this resort..yes, even the coatis. Some ppl complained they were too many..but remember they eat all the bad insects, including cockroaches. And if you keep your food protected, you should be fine. Monkeys are something else...In some places you pay to see so many animals..here, tbey entertain you in all-inclussive style. There are also deers, iguanas, turtles and squirrels.
Overall it's worth the money if you keep your mind open and stop complaining about little things.
I had a problem with the luggages but I was mad because I was tired and I forgot the poor bellboys are not the most educated people at the hotel....Sometimes the supervisor needs to show up and help with the situation. But it always gets solved. We got our rooms changed with no problem-sure, sometimes a tip (10$-20$) would speed up the process, but it's up to each tourist how they want to handle the situation.
Bottom line, you are on vacation-relax and open your mind-as Mexican culture is very different from notth American one or Europe,...etc.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Worth it!
Had a really good time! My room was clean, and well stocked for the most part! I thought the buffet and food options were great as well, pools and bars were awesome! Beach area was a tad small for Coba guests but it wasn’t too bad. There is no food options for Coba at the beach but this really was a non issue! I ate so much at the buffet that I wasn’t hungry until well after lunch time hahaha! Honestly, everything was clean, the staff were unreal and it was truly a great trip. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Awesome Resort
Bahia Principe Akumel is one of my favorite resorts, the staff are always smiling and willing to help, they go above and beyond. The customer service was oustanding. The atmosphere in Akumel was so relaxing and soothing to all on our trip. The rooms were very clean and fully stocked with towels, drinks, etc. every day. Many a la carte restaurants to choose from. Buffett foods was good as well. would recommend this hotel.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Mediocre
My room was flooded twice as well as my friend's room after a downpour. The food is average at best and the water at the beach is murky/black... a far cry from the aquamarine Caribbean you'd expect. Spotty internet throughout the resort. While severely understaffed and overworked, the staff were amazing and always did their best - the only positive.

Catalonia Yucatan: Room Review
We were originally in the comfort room, which was hugely disappointing. The door lock didn’t work, it was outdated, and looked nothing like the photos. We had to upgrade because the room was unacceptable. The upgraded room was lovely.

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: the best I've been to in awhile!
Beautiful green property, renovated, upkept, clean and well taken care of. Several pools, cafe with great freshly brewed coffee, gym facing the ocean, meditation & yoga corner, so many things to do for kids and adults, or just find a quiet adult only spot to zoom out, plenty of space to walk around. Food was delicious, so much variety and fresh. The "cliff" &slide pool for kids- lots of fun. Staff so friendly too. beach is ok for sitting and building sandcastles but not for swimming due to weed[... read more]s and many sandbags placed to break off waves, but the view is still beautiful & relaxing. Staff works every day to clear off the seaweed. Our room was quiet, facing the river and surrounding jungle, my kid was so fascinated & excited watching crocodiles, crabs, turles & birds:) it's like mini zoo for her. Definetely goes on the list of places I want to come back to.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great resort with excellent dive shop
Great resort with lots to do. Shout out to Judit, Vicktoria and Ilana at the Kessler Dive shop on the property. Went for a wonderful suba dive with Judit. Ilana set me up with jet skiing and was super helpful. Also tried the surf rider. The beach is great in front of this specific resort, although you can use the beach at 3 attached resorts so lots of beachfront. There's also a dolphin enclosure.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Trip
I am an avid all inclusive traveler and have been to 15 resorts in the past 10 years. This trip was just for two people both of us in our early 30s not looking for a party resort, but also not looking for something boring. I would say this resort provided a great balance. If you’re elderly this is a larger resort lots of walking, however it’s 99% wheelchair accessible. Rooms were clean and well maintained, property was also clean and well maintained. Beautiful grounds and the resort rakes th[... read more]e seaweed off the beach every morning. The water was not crystal clear blue water, however a hurricane just came through those waters and I know it depends on time of year you travel, I saw others say the water wasn’t crystal clear though during reviews so if that matters to you, look elsewhere. Beach was gorgeous nonetheless. I saw tons of reviews from people mentioning mosquitos, I didn’t see a single one… in fact I didn’t see any bugs at all except for one bee the whole week. However what I think the problem is, is the sand fleas (can’t really see them) on the beach, the resort could spray for these and I assume they don’t or maybe it’s just elevated this time of year.. however for a 8 day vacation if the only complaint is bug bites then I think we’re good to go. Staff was friendly overall and helpful when you needed it, Alex by the pool was tremendous very courteous and on the ball with his service. The resort could work on playing more upbeat current music, as we kind of listened to the same music everyday by the pool and it was a little dated. The games / entertainment team could spruce up their games in addition to their prizes. They handed out tshirts, I’ve seen other resorts hand out bottles of champagne or small bottles of alcohol. The food was good, however Royalton does NOT let you book dinner reservations unless you’re a diamond club member (I’ve stayed at a few Royalton now and it’s a trend. The way it’s featured or advertised is as a positive, however it’s very hard to get in the actual restaurants for dinner unless you go at 5pm or 9pm or later as the resort prioritizes the diamond club members which sucks when you’re being told it’s an all inclusive. All paying guests should have an opportunity to eat in the restaurants and if they want to reward higher paying guests then there should be a exclusive bars or restaurants for them, but all other guests shouldn’t be deprioritized. However again, I’m looking for things to mention, non of this ruined our trip in any way. We ate at the Italian, steak and teppanyaki all were good but not as amazing as I have heard Mexican food to be, I’d say 7.5/10. However they were good. We did eat at the buffet rest of the week though because it had more options and easier to get what you want. Note: there is NO AC in the restaurants, the resort relays on sea breeze… which sometimes works and sometimes there is no breeze. The club on the resort has AC, but it could have been cranked way higher lol and same recommendation on better music lol. Overall, I would recommend this resort for someone my age looking to enjoy themselves but not get out of control. There is a splash pad area for kids away from the “party†pool (which is just more like games and drinks and music pool, not party), and there is a few quieter pools as well. Clean and fun resort, great vacation.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Good time even with Rainy weather
So we arrived at 1130 pm, air transst did great job making sure our whole bus included all us to hotel, I had asked for ground or 1st level ,their English needed a little polishing, finally they mentioned was an elevator and got 3rd floor Jr suite.
Looked great and had personal items in bathroom supplied appreciated
The main lobby had multi level past bar area which could use some markings where the ceramic tiles are all same colour..00
it drops plus 12 inches ,my hubby luckily lande[... read more]d on his feet when he walked off level.
Night entertainment was fine fire wand show Abba tribute and bingo /casino which was only for the French population,karaoke...
Restaurants where well supplied with food choices
Alot of rain and water on outdoor hallways big slip fall risk - staff tried to keep up but should have had a wet vacuum,
All week had to watch not to fall around water from 3 rainy days,
Reservations for a la cart were very tricky to manage, air transat rep didn't help with any of that HAD to use the hotel app and air transatapp which .y phone had no room to add another app to..
Finally I got 3 booked
Beach was good once they cleaned it from the 3 previous days of rain
Pools were great, drinks were very good not consist between indoor lobby bar and pool bar tho
LAST MORNING
AFTER RAIN STORM MOST oF NIGHT we had 1/2 room with water lying on floor
I slipped and fell and hit my head
I went to lobby and told them I wasn't impressed but they probably didn't understand told them I hit my head and asked 2 different people for an ice pack but they looked baffled... our ride to airport was going in 15 min
Anyways went home to nurse the lump for 5 dsys
Air transat - good for plane , but on way home should have handed out declare card 1/2 hour before landing poor decision as we were disembarking to give then
Could have been more helpful at hotel no meeting and the timeshare people in lobby had to tell us where to find them
Price was good for one week but was surprised how they didn't make their presence known once arrived
Happy with trip central booking assistance thank you Wendy.
Sorry fir the rant but most people have to watch their physical self to carry on after the holiday and being a nurse just me.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Very large property
This resort has lots of plants and animals. There is a small Mayan ruins a couple of cenote pools and a zoo.
The water park will be loved by all.
Several quieter pools available when the large pool gets to be too much.
Ala Carte restaurants are booked on the resort website. The steak and seafood was our favourite.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Beautiful resort
The hotel was absolutely beautiful, way nicer and fancier than expected. All the staff were so helpful and attentive. The rooms were large with comfortable beds (I had the best sleep I’ve had in a while in that hotel bed) along with beautiful views. The restaurants were amazing on a restaurant level, not just “good for a resortâ€. The resort is very modern and grand and aesthetic, great to take pics. We loved it!

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Aweful resort
The stay was an absolute nightmare — cockroaches and ladybugs in the room, zero water pressure in the shower, and noises from the hallway and people getting busy in neighboring rooms.
As for the amenities, restaurants, and bars, they were a complete joke. The food lacked flavor, had bad quality, and to add insult to injury, they recycled leftovers like toasting old bread to use as croutons in salads. Everything shut down at 11 PM, and you couldn't even get a drink afterward. Room service of[... read more]fered a laughable three items after 6 PM. The disco club and sports areas reeked of rotten humidity, making it nearly impossible to breathe.
To top it all off, the place seemed to be infested with some rat/squirrel hybrid creature. They were everywhere—on the beach, in the lobby, in the corridors, between rooms...
This was a disastrous experience. My advice: STAY AWAY
