Hotel Camino del Mar: Great resort
I was there in June for 12 days and had a great experience with my husband and friends. The best service was from manager Carlos. Very nice and have Ben many times to Cuba and never met a manager who cares about the guests so much. Thank you so much for a great time. See you again.
Hotel Camino del Mar: Melia cayo Guillermo paradise on earth
This hotel was way more than we expected! The grounds are beautiful. They are lush and full of green and the beach is absolutely breath taking. The staff are amazing and make you feel so welcome! We loved the lobby bar there is entertainment nightly and the service was outstanding! We will be back for sure. !!! This is a five star for sure!
Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing
We found this hotel to be our new favourite in Cuba. Incredible beach, with plenty of palapas to get shade. Did not need to be up at the crack of dawn to reserve as there were enough for everyone. Small pool, but who goes to a beach resort to sit by a pool? Food was some of the best we have eaten in Cuba. We found all the staff to be top notch.
Melia Las Americas: Wonderful! Especially for golfers!
We loved everything about this resort. This is our second time here and there have been several improvements. The resort is clean and well maintained. All of the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. We love the proximity to the golf course (2 minute walk if that!) and the course itself is beautiful! The beach and large and wide with several umbrellas and huts to hide under. The live music at the beach bar was our favourite. The food was somewhat repetitive but we always found somethi [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great Resort !
Been to Varedero 4-5 times, Holguin and Pardisisus De Oro is far better ! Great beach, white dusty sand, require beach shoes as some areas are rocky but lots of areas of no rocks, snorkeling ok , scuba diving nearby . Majority of the staff at the resort speak excellant English and go out of their way to accomodate you and provide excellant service. All ala cart restaurants were excellant, buffet had good selection with hot or cold plates and was very good for a Cuban buffet. Have been twice t [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Solid Place
First time in Cuba. Would go again. So very hot so in pool all day !! So many places to visit on this vast planet of ours - choose wisely , always a reason to go somewhere different - Cuba was a great choice .
Melia Jardines del Rey: What a great experience
The staff were amazing, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our vacation was memorable. This was my first time in Cuba and made some amazing memories. The food was decent (I didn’t starve) and the impetus were my go to every morning!! Also something about their butter hit everyone’s taste bud and was definitely a must have at every meal. We went in off season (july3rd) and there was not many vacationers but I loved that there were plenty of locals that absolutely enjoyed every [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Fantastic resort!
A fantastic adult-only resort with gorgeous grounds. I have been to Cuba at least 10 times, however this resort is the most beautiful. It is a bit older now, celebrating 15 years, but well maintained. Chairs on the beach could use an upgrade though. Many of them have been damaged and are no longer comfortable. Lovely and welcoming staff as well. Looking forward to returning!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very nice resort.
We loved our stay there! Everything about the trip was amazing and we have nothing negative to say except not comfy and old chairs on the beach. The grounds are very well done. The public areas are clean. Rooms are dated but clean.
Melia Marina Varadero: A good place to vacation
The service staff were polite and efficient but the rooms were older and did not offer much besides basic comfort. The facilities are amazing and the entertainment was good. No internet in rooms. Internet reception in the lobby was limited. A lot of bugs and the tour guides make u feel uncomfortable with they way they ask for gratuity. But overall a great getaway.
Paradisus Varadero: A good vacation, excluding food and construction closures at this resort.
Our adjoining rooms were great (clean, spacious, well-air conditioned and comfortable). The grounds were well maintained and the tropical gardens were beautiful. The beach was stunning, but quite a hike from our rooms (carts were available to transport us if needed). The pool was good. The swim-up bar was sometimes open. There were several lounge chairs and cabanas available. Many amenities were closed or unavailable due to construction (sports centre, largest pool and many restaurants were all [... read more]
Paradisus Varadero: Mixed Review
Our adjoining rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The maid did an excellent job of making up our room and our mini fridges were stocked regularly with water and other beverages. The luscious tropical gardens were beautiful and well tended. The beach was stunning. The pool was nice and there were lots of available cabanas and lounge chairs. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but others were not. Due to construction on the resort, many amenities were unavailable which was disappo [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort.
Best resort I have been to in Cayo Coco cuba. Will definitely return. Been going to Cuba for 17 years and I can honestly say this is a five star resort. The food the service the staff best In Cayo Coco cuba. It was the perfect vacation from beginning to end thank you Melia Cayo Coco. Even though this is an older resort and the rooms are a bit dated, they are comfortable and very clean. With the rooms being a bit dated for me it is a plus because you actually feel the Cuban culture. The grounds [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Perfect kid-free vacation for couples
Upon arrival you are welcomed into the spacious and alluring lobby/bar. Staff were friendly and polite. Layout of the resort is well done (aesthetically beautiful). Quite close to white sands and awesome beach. Spent more days at the beach than the resort pool. Both had their own bar. Quite difficult to land a poolside bed unless you head out early in the day. People tend to leave towels to keep poolside bed while going off to lunch. I obtained a poolside bed with my girlfriend and 45 mins later [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Satisfactory resort, but needs improvement...
Grounds and public areas were lovely! Rooms were ok, however housekeeping needs to get their act together...some towels were delivered dirty, pillows were extremely thin and flat, so we ordered more ( one pillow delivered wasn’t even an actual pillow...it resembled wool folded and stuffed in pillow-case!), and there was no toilet-paper replacement one day (thankfully we had brought a few of our own rolls, as it took and hour and a half for housekeeping to supply!!!). Check-in was supposed to [... read more]
Melia Buenavista: Amazing Resort
The hotel is small and quiet, beautiful grounds, excellent butler service, friendly staff, limited food choices for dinner, premium drinks, very long bus ride from the airport, no butler service on the beach
Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Sol Cayo Santa Maria
Amazing place. You got three pools to jump into plus the beach not too far. Diversity of foods is awesome. There's markets around for you to go browse some souvernirs. The staff is really nice and helpful.
Melia Jardines del Rey: The customer service is not what I expected
The hotel was nice and clean, the service at the restaurants and the reception was good. However, the service at the customer service office was very disappointing. We had to call 6 times in two days to have the bottled water replaced at our room. The food was very blend.
Sol Palmeras: Great resort overall
We didn't go to many resorts in Cuba but this one was the best. The beach and water are impeccable. The layout is very convenient - everything is in the arm's reach. The resort is clean and staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable enough. A few observations that may help to make the right choice: - the resort is not for meat lovers, which is common for Cuba, but many non-meat choices are available and no one goes hungry. - guests living in rooms facing outside of the building circle may enco [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Great hotel!!
Very impressed with hotel room. Lots of space, all the amenities, great bathroom with separate shower and bath. Most helpful for a June visit is that it was always at the right temperature with individually controlled central air conditioning plus ceiling fans. Also a balcony with two chairs. Pool was nice but personally found the Caribbean music too loud, so preferred the beach. Beaches gorgeous! Crystal clear water, white sand, shower and washrooms very close. Having been told tha [... read more]
