From the first moment arriving at the resort we were truly in awe of how beautiful the grounds were and the majestic lobby.
Food was great and plenty of choices at the bufett. The a la carte restaurans were all fabulous. All the staff were friendly and polite. Our AC was not working and once reported maintenance was there within a few hrs to fix. Our room was lovely and our bar fridge was restocked daily. The entertainment crew did a good job of including everyone in the activities. If you are [... read more]a beach walker this is not the place for you as situated in a cove. The evening show was over at 10pm and the only thing then to do was go to the kareoke bar which was not what we were looking for. The disco opened at 11pm but it was so loud and played music that was certainly not condusive of an island resort. The lobby band finished at 10.30pm. Therfore we found the evening entertainment dissapointing.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very nice resort
All in all very nice resort. If there was anything I would say was a little disappointing was the fact that if you weren’t by the pool by 9:00 am there were no chairs left. Other than that all in all a very nice resort.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Large, 4 *.
This is my honest review
My husband & I love all inclusive resorts & we try to go at least 2-3 times a year
In my experience this hotel was average. The grounds, the room(definitely dated & shower was gross, but wouldn’t ruin my holidays) the food etc.
I hate all this pressure lately for pushy holiday clubs it’s a real turn off. The spa offers a 1 hr massage for 217$US? Lol
Front desk was a pleasure which isn’t the norm. Seafood restaurant was a huge turn-off due to an awful manager[... read more]

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Awesome Resort, So beautiful
We recently stayed at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort in Montego Bay Jamaica and it was absolutely beautiful. We are a family of 5 and the room was very spacious and clean. The resort was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The kids had a great time at the pool and waterpark area. We never had an issue with getting chairs at the beach or pool area which was fantastic. The beach was stunning. The food was amazing and a very good selection at the buffets. Riu Reggae: Great resort!
I cannot fault the resort at all - it was a wonderful week vacation. The only thing i wasn't a huge fan of was the beach - it was very small and the water wasn't clear. The resort staff and entertainment team were awesome! The food was delicious and the rooms were great.

Riu Ocho Rios: Beautiful beach
Beach was beautiful and kept clean. Plenty of lounge chairs, never an issue finding one. Resort and rooms were pretty dated and in need of a remodel. However, the room was clean and no concerns with the housekeeping service. Food was average.

Riu Negril: Pretty good!
Our stay was pretty good! Food was good and the rooms were clean. The view was beyond beautiful! However the beach has locals on it which was neat at first until they kept trying to make us buy stuff and do not like no for a answer.. my husband and I started avoiding the beach area because how can you enjoy it when your non stop being bothered on buying something you’ve already said no to. Some of the locals were really cool and friendly.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: The view
I have stayed here several times as well as the adjacent sister resort Cornwall beach. The resort is small so you don’t get multiple restaurants. There is one al a carte and the main buffet. I love that they focus on island fare, ox tail, jerk chicken & pork, curry goat, etc. It’s all great and they always have homemade cookies. This resort is one of my favourites due to the food, the staff, and the location of being 5 min from the airport. It is older so if you want new go to the sister res[... read more]ort next store. They both have fantastic ocean views from almost every room. The Royal Decameron Montgomery beach has 144 rooms with only about 10 called run of the house which do not have ocean side balconies. Our balcony was so close to the water that from the third floor we could not even see the small beach below us, only the water which is great with many shades of blue THE VIEWS Are gorgeous. You won't get this view at most other resorts without paying a huge premium. The entertainment is good at night.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Definitely not 5 Star
The resort definitely did not measure up to its own advertising and 5 Star aspirations. For the most part, staff members were all quite friendly and attentive. The grounds were very well kept and clean, as well as the rooms themselves. However, there were a number of shortcomings that detracted from the overall experience.
- one of a very few resorts that still use towel cards and restrict you to one towel at a time.
- while advertising 24 hour room service, the menu is fairly limited with b[... read more]reakfast options almost non-existent.
- food and service at most restaurants was spotty. There was much confusion at times in serving courses and many times the food arrived barely warm.
- while posted as not allowed, smoking at and in the pool was very prevalent. Most disgusting to see people flicking ashes into drink glasses, or worse, into the pool itself. Several instances of cigarette butts floating around the pool.
- extensive use of grounds keeping equipment in the same area. Over a one week stay, we had 2 days of rain and 4 days of gas powered equipment in use beside our loungers at the pool. 2 days of hedge trimming; 1 day of grass cutting and leaf blowing and 1 day of pressure washing a sidewalk. Noisy and the smell from the gasoline engines was terrible.
- bottled water was not available at the bars or restaurants. A note left in the room bar fridge for extra was essentially ignored.
- housekeeping was a bit hit and miss in getting all towels, etc replaced.
- our room was missing a chair on the balcony and we called to request another. It was never delivered.
The resort and its location is very nice and it’s a shame that it misses on so many aspects. Great potential but not there yet.

Sandals South Coast: Amazing Resot
The resort was fantastic. The food was delicious at all restaurants. Beach was beautiful but not very good for swimming due to sea urchins. Bring watershoes.
Staff was friendly and fun.
I would definitely go back. Overall it was one of the best resorts I have been to.
Disappointed with our private transfer was not there to pick us up on day we were leaving. Good thing I have asked transfer bus to wait.
This is my experience and brief personal comments about my stay at Grand Bahia Principe on Runaway Bay where we had a great weather with only one day of rain. The resort is huge and very populated and depending on the day space to the pool is restricted and management will ignore your comments or concerns regarding chair reservation despite this rule being posted everywhere around the resort. The beach area was my favorite area to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The free wifi is very unreliable [... read more]and only restricted to the reception area and the space so you might want to pay for upgrade to get a better connection if you need to contact home without getting frustrated. The technical support for the wifi was very limited and I never got to talk or see the technician in charge.
The employees are numerous, polite and very well train to do their specific job.
I recommend this resort if you don’t mind the crowds during your holiday; as for me I will be looking for a smaller resort for my next vacation in Jamaica.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Very large resort
We were at the Luxury Bahia Principe resort at the end of January 2019. This resort is connected to the Grand Bahia Principe...right next door. Combined there is, I was told, over 800 rooms. The resort has some of the best pools around....many separate pools between the two resorts and all meticulously maintained. The room was very good...very comfortable bed, air conditioning that worked, a small sitting area, a large balcony, etc. We stayed in building 26 (I requested this building upfront thr[... read more]u email) and we had a very nice partial view of the ocean. Staff was very friendly on the Luxury side. Not so much on the Grand side in the a la cartel restaurants. We ate at the two resorts a la carte restaurants. Service on the Luxury side was generally very good. We experienced generally mediocre to poor service on the Grand side. Food was okay...sometimes very good; other times just okay to poor (tough meat for instance). I requested dinner reservations thru email in advance of the trip and so we had five set reservations before we got there. While I am not a fan of dinner reservations while on vacation, preferring to eat when I am ready, it worked okay for our group of six. Wristbands and towel cards is not preferred at a Luxury resort. I understand the need for wristbands....to identify which resort you are from...but just prefer not to. And I have not used a towel card at a resort in many, many years. An inconvenience for me. Weather was okay...we experienced rain...that can happen anywhere...but be aware that Runaway Bay weather was consistently 5/6 degrees cooler than Montego Bay during our stay. Still comfortable at Runaway Bay with temperatures between 21 to 24 degrees. Overall I would rate the Luxury Bahia a 3.5/4 star. Definitely not a five star. In my opinion, I would not return to this resort, preferring Montego Bay resorts over this resort at Runaway Bay.

Riu Ocho Rios: Great resort, great people!
This is our second time to this resort and it was even better than the last time. The jerk chicken at the jerk hut is amazing. This resort is big enough but not too big. Has enough tourists to make it interesting but not too many to make it over crowded. The staff are fantastic, the food has a lot of variety and tastes great!! A la cart steak house Mammee Bay delicious!! Rooms are all basically facing the ocean so no bad rooms. Moon Palace Jamaica: Fantastic Family Vacation
Traveled as a family of 5 from Jan 25 to Feb 1st. Yes, this hotel is far from Montego Bay International Airport but it's well worth the drive!!!
I've traveled enough to know that rarely do the online pictures and promotions accurately represent the hotel - this is not the case with Moon Palace Jamaica. We arrived at 9:30 pm, we were greeted with a flower, cool drink and cold towel. Check in was smooth, we were escorted to our room and given a quick tour on the way which was very informativ[... read more]e. The rooms were exactly as shown online, with everything included that we had expected! We had a family deluxe suite which is essentially 2 rooms in one.
The food, grounds and staff were all remarkable.
Of course, there is no such thing as perfection, there were little things in our room such as the bathroom door not locking properly etc. but the way the hotel handled it was extraordinary, not only was the issue(s) resolved immediately but a call was made to the room immediately following to ensure that expectations had been met! I had read several complaints regarding the adjoining room doors so I wasn't surprised to find that the doors connecting the rooms were very awkward. Clearly it was an afterthought as the adjoining doors open out into the rooms. They are located right at the front door so it can prove to be quite difficult getting in and out, room service etc.
We were on the 7th floor and the hotel was not very busy so the turn down service didn't really work out for us. They arrived at our floor around 5pm - just as we were back in our room getting ready for dinner. We always got fresh towels etc. but only one day were we out of the room and actually got the service! Did these things alter how we felt about our vacation? Not in the least!!! This is an amazing hotel and we had a fantastic time! I just want to keep things in perspective. There is no such thing as perfection but let me say this hotel comes pretty darn close. The staff are thoughtful, kind and genuine. Tips were appreciated but I never felt they were expected. Customer service is a top priority here. This is not an inexpensive vacation but it is well worth it. If you are looking for a special getaway, then I would certainly recommend the Moon Palace Jamaica!!!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing Resort and a lovely experience
This was our first time in Jamaica and we really enjoyed ourselves. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the resort surprised us with a beautiful entrance and champagne in the room.
The resort is well maintained and clean and beautiful
The food and their jerk dishes are simply delicious
The amenities and the a la carte restaurants are great
The staff is good.. they can be more friendly and engaging
The drinks we were not impressed as there was no mint available for mojitos [... read more]
The shows and entertainment was average and can be improved
We went deep see fishing .. it was a great 4 hour experience no fish but we saw dolphins.
We also did the Dunn’s River Fall climb and tour and it was the best highlight of the trip.
If you ever go to Jamaica.. you have to do the Dunn’s Excursion
All in all we have a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.

Riu Ocho Rios: My trip with the mostest
Hi! I was travelling alone single woman and made it a point to notice details and take notes so I could write a mindful honest review because others reviews really helped me in booking my trip!
Starting with booking with Trip Central Marlena was lovely to Sunwing check from home to front desk at the Riu Resort...Everyone along the way made things easy quick and done with a great attitude!
The resort its self had beautiful grounds, location and beaches were divine. It's a 90 min drive with 2 st[... read more]ops at other resorts on the way so be prepared for the drive. Once arrived it's well worth it.
The place is huge, lots of families, couples and older guests. Private quiet beaches and beautiful white sands. Food was very good lots of variety. Not big on buffets but they did a good job with cleanliness and there was an la carte steak house option.
Asian restaurant (deluxe guests only).
Always a place available to eat until late at night. Fun entertainment nightly. I felt very safe the rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The only thing was I had to change rooms after my first night due to noisy construction outside the hotel but they changed and upgraded me to an ocean view for my troubles no extra charge.
I only have praise for the entire staff from the front desk, Amoy, Richard, Anna Maria, Neto etc...all so helpful and courteous. Chef Mozel and his jerk hut on the beach was a major highlight! Daily jerk on the beach and fresh coconut juice thats Jamacia! Staff service from the beach to the restaurants, Desroy, Harkel, Martin...Keshawna, Sharron in housekeeping to onsite Sunwing rep Sandra aka Mama SunshineðŸ‘ðŸ½All amazing!!!
No peddlers the beach, clean beaches and lots of beach chairs for guests. They offered every excursion onsite very convenient. I worked out daily gym could use an upgrade but was functional. Spa was lovely. Expect loud music during the day around the pool with interactive games with staff and guests but it didn't disrupt your quiet in the beach.
All in all I loved my time and will be back for an annual trip to Rui Resorts Ocho Rios.
Thank you I hope this helps the next guest plan their dream vaca to Jamaica ya mon🇯🇲 ✌ðŸ¾

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Beautiful Resort
This newly updated resort will not disappoint. From check in to check out everything was flawless. Meals were outstanding. Andre can prepare a fantastic omelette and kept the line moving and the choices for each meal was extraordinary. Lobster even at the evening buffet! Sweetie, Chicken and Chocolate Thunder kept it fresh and hopping on the beach and at the pool so many laughs. Sheldon and Conrad always made sure towels were ready to go and always had a smile and couldn't do enough to make your[... read more] beach or pool time fun. Shayne working both the front desk and steak house (saw him in different locations) was always looking to make sure all your needs were met. Drinks at all bars were fantastic and you never had to wait long for a drink. Our rooms were very large and always clean. The grounds were beautiful and the guys were out there everyday grooming. We walked down to the Negril Riu which is at the other end of the bay, you could definitely see the difference in resorts as the Negril Riu looked very tired. Over all this Riu resort will be a good choice . We were disappointed with our Sunwing rep at our resort but this does not reflect the Resort itself. We will definitely return to Riu Palace Negril.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Resort
Great resort for couples and families. Service was a bit slow at front reception but overall good. Resort grounds are clean, maintained and manicured quite nicely. Food is great and tasty with different varieties every day. Majority of hotel employees were nice and friendly.
