Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: A Resort with Something for Everyone!

This was the first time my husband and I have taken a vacation with our adult children (20's) and our youngest child (11) - Altogether - . We will usually go with one or the other. We had concerns that there would be nothing for the 20 somethings and tons for the 11yr old - or vise versa. Worrying was a waste of good time - because there was plenty for both. The beach was beautiful borderline perfect. The food was delicious and the staff couldn't help you enough. Plus your 25 mins from the airport. Tip: try the pillow menu - the back pillow works!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Resort is ok

Rooms are nice. Staff is excellent. Beaches are really bad. They are extremely shallow. Not good for swimming. Pools are really nice. Entertaining needs improvement. To be fair i was there during rain season so disco was unavailable due flooding. There were no great live performance productions like at other resorts in a theatre. Food was ok but im a picky eater so im not one to judge. Sadly up in the large buffet there was never jerk or fried chicken. I will be going back for a wedding. Im going to chose the luxury side this time and see how it goes.

The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The food was good. Entertainment could be better and more attention should be given to safety features. Example: more grab handles in the showers and around stairs

Everything was just perfect.. The Pool, The Food, the Drinks, Restaurants, evening entertainments and programs, The room, The room service and the house keeping, specially the butler service and Our wonderful butler whome we met the first day by the name of Graydon..

Emloyees were friendly and helpful, great food and entertainment. Decent beach with a fanastic sunset area in the evening. Bar hours could be longer but bartenders were very professional and fast. Great experience.

I've been to a lot of hotels and this resort was great...lots to do for the kids...good food, good entertainment, clean, friendly. What I want to talk about is the room....I know you don't spend a lot of time in the room but I must say that my room was the nicest I've ever been in. It had a king size bed, a separated living room with sofa and chairs...I was a single person so in other rooms, two queen beds were there in addition to the living room. The bathroom had double sinks, a jetted soake [... read more]r tub, and a separate big shower, and the toilet had it's own door and separated. The fridge was stocked daily. Wifi was free in the rooms and on the beach and near the pool....download the bahia principe app. I was at the beach and requested 4 hard pillows in my room from the app and when I returned to the room, they were there. The building I was in had it's own concierge so you could call him or use the app for anything...and there was room service all night long for snacks. And no waiting in endless lines to book a la cartes...just use the app, or they had interactive screens at the lobby and you could just book your a la cartes at your leisure. I would definitely go back to a bahia principe especially at this complex that had 6 all together...and there were golf cart shuttles always available to take you to the other resorts to their a la cartes, or simply to the beach and the village. Great spot...would go back again.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: We liked it BUT...

We did like the territory, it's taken care of ans maintenance people were constantly working on it. The food was good! BUT! The rooms are extremely moldy. I'm talking not about humidity, it's different. They are moldy and smelly. You have a feeling you are in a cave. And you inhale that... So we brought it up to the management and they moved us to Luxury Bahia Principle Akumal. It was very nice of them to upgrade us. But same issue at another room. Less moldy and smelly, but still th [... read more]e same problem : all rooms need a good repair! The service was not bad. Sometimes we were ignored at the restaurant... Just staying in the middle with a 2year old and all tables been dirty. Sometimes we were served fast and in a nice manner! In general it was not bad, but definitely not 5* hotel and definitely not Luxury :)

The resort was amazing It was so clean, the food and the staff were amazing. One of the best resorts we have been to in year, I would highly recommend this resort. Check was quick and easy, the restaurants were great. Had a massage done at the spa, it was just perfect, thru really treated us great

The food was amazing, the people at the pool were happy!! The custumer service at the lobby was a little too long! The Italian restaurant was not good and also snack bar. Pool close at 6pm it was a little early even the beach !!!

Great time was had by all. the hotel renovations were well managed and did not affect the stay at all. The beach is awsome for snorkeling and always clean. This is my 2nd time first time was for honeymoon.i definitely would go a 3rd time

Excellent stay, loved the rooms and hotel amenities. We all had a great time! Hotel gave us two connecting rooms as requested, this helped us to manage 3 kids as well as give us our own personal space!

Beach was great. Very clear water and you can see small fish. Pool was nice and big too. Hotel is beautiful like a large castle. Very clean. Free WiFi in the lobby. Food is good. There is a buffet, 4 restaurants, and a snack bar. Lots of activities throughout the day if you are interested in that, and some nightly shows. The casino is mostly electronic games, very cheap to play. Disco and kareoke bar opens at 10 pm, but I never went to them

This resort is spectacular lots to do many bars and pools and restaurants it is immaculate everyone works very hard to keep you happy our buttler GRAYDIN. Made my bday verry special by arranging special dinner with cake champagne in my room and rose pettals allover my bed .Cant say enough good things about this place theymade us feel like royalty.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Best batchlor party ever!

14 of us stayed there for our friends batchlor party. Everything from the food to the pool entertainment kept us having a good time all week long. We loved the Brazilian streak house and the beef patties.

We ask and paid for 2 beds while only getting 1 king size one instead. Between 14 guys none of us got 2 beds. Had to ask for a cod. Plus our rooms werent besides eachother,(all of ours). Besides that our resort a.d stay was amazing layout of odd but the food and resort looks great. Beef patties should have came out more and pools open longer would have been nice.

Had an amazing stay at Grand Bahia last week. The facilities were nice and clean. The staff were great friendly and always tends to your needs. The beach was beautiful, white sand beach, clear blue water with a reef close by the swimming area. I wish we could have stayed longer and we would definitely come back to this beautiful place. Feels like home away from home.

Just returned from an 8 day stay at beautiful Grand Bahia Coba. Excellent and very courteous service. The à la cartes were well setup with very tasteful menus. Accommodations and amenities were also amazing. Great bang for the buck, take the time to check it out and simply enjoy it.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Good to book it!

Hola! I travelled in September to Grand Bahia Principe Aquamarine which is low season and prices were good and occupancy low so I found it not busy. Some observations on some key areas are as follows: Check in/checkout Met with a cool coconut/mint/frozen ice drink. Once in the room, which was the correct high floor pool side view room, they called after about 10 min to make sure everything with it was okay - which was a very nice follow up. Checkout is at a different location than the  [... read more]check in, which is different than the check in, and the process is very smooth and efficient. Room: Was well appointed. Personal items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, dental kit i.e. toothbrush, and shower cap all provided. Tv is mainly Spanish but has a few English channels including CBS, NBC, ABC, FX, TNT, CNN. Cleanliness and upkeep by the maid was good. Pool and beach: Loungers were abundant and did not have to be reserved with a pool towel like most resorts but this was likely because it was low season. Pool guests seemed to have a great time at the bar and with the music playing. Beach has lots of space for guests. Water and waves I found was a bit stronger than in Cuba or Mexico. Food: Restaurant reservations were easy and could be done via a mobile app with the free wifi. It could also be done via a traditional way of speaking to someone or using a reservation system in the lobby. Restaurants I tried that were all very good were the Limbo (French), MEAT, Maiko (Japanese Tepanyaki). Portofini (Italian) was a bit bland for my taste. Aquamarine Buffet for dinner was good. It was moved from the regular buffet restaurant location to a different venue in part to low season. Sports Bar at Ambar, which you have access to, is a great place before or after dinner before evening entertainment. Entertainment is standard to other resorts with evening shows at a theatre venue. The additional surprise was the even better entertainment in the hotel lobby at night. All in all this was a great resort that I found was constantly being maintained around the property. I would recommend it if you are considering it!
