Riu Tequila: Meh!

All-in-all an okay resort, good food, service was always good, if not a bit flat. I didn't find any of the staff to be overly friendly, and were very curt, other than Rafael that lead the Spanish lessons, he was great. The white party was a lot of fun. When I told someone at the front desk, they radioed over to the club and the whole thing was broadcast throughout the lobby area, I was mortified and felt afraid for retaliation for telling staff, I felt like I was being shamed. If you do go to the disco, watch your drink like-a- hawk. Further, we had a room on a second floor of a bungalow and all I would hear all night would be doors slamming and people yelling. It echoed so badly that I was woken up many times throughout the night, and then the furniture moving and balcony doors slamming would begin first thing in the am. We finally had to put white noise on my phone so we could sleep through the night. Worth a note: We couldn't get a third device to work on the wifi even though it says you get up to 4 devices per code and we only had two, even after speaking with IT. There were more things I liked but the negative far outweighed the positive IMHO.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Don’t bother with this place

Garbage!! Rooms are filthy, pillows are disgusting… food is pathetic. Customer care is non existent. We had no towels for 24 hours. And for the rest of the week the continued to have a shortage of towels. It took my asking multiple times for them to bring the crib. They assured me they would have a new room and a crib in the room for us the next day… no surprise, our names weren’t on the list for a room change. We had no drinking water in our room for over 24 hours. Don’t  [... read more]come here period… but especially don’t come here with a baby, their cribs are Dangerous I can not in good conscience put my 4 month old in it to sleep. This resort is not child friendly. Go anywhere else but here. Due to the size of the resort, they are dependant on golf carts.. but don’t charge the batteries. Be prepared to walk everywhere. Also, if you are not part of the circle club, they only have 1 cart for the rest of the guests. Our room only getting cleaned at 5:15 pm right whilst we are trying to get ready for our dinner reservation… so we asked for the bare minimum to be done. This happened several times during the week. I even approached them for an upgrade, no such luck. Guess the fancy rooms are for members only.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Each year, NEVER disappointed!

This is our third year staying at this resort~ it was Panama Jack’s for the first. Each and every year, the Wyndham Alltra in Playa del Carmen is improved upon, and their standards are impeccable. The beauty of the rooms, the cleanliness of the pools, the delicious cuisine, the little ‘extras’ provided, the entertainment, and the sheer effort to have the highest standards for the guests, is impressive. I have had the honour of travelling to many countries, and have personally worked in high-level hospitality positions. The staff at this resort are the BEST I have ever encountered~ amazingly diligent, hard working and smart, in every single department. I genuinely wish to thank the people that work here the most. YOU make our Dia de los Muertos week sensational. Every year : ) It is perfectly situated also~ two blocks away from Cinco Avenida restaurants, shopping and festivities. Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Great employees

Beach: The beach is very nice to go for a long walk. Food: In general the food is good to very good and the employees are dedicated to giving customers a good service. BAD: They have closed 2 outdoor restaurent/buffets and have limited access to one of the best outdoor ones which included a quiet pool area that is now part of the beso/priveledge group. We ended up eating most meals in the general indoor buffet area except for when we were able to get reservations for the restaurants.  [... read more] The bathrooms need to be redone (especially shower), same for the beds although some rooms have new mattresses and they seem to have started renovating a few rooms. The beach is now reduced to approximately 20-30 feet wide when the tide is low and can rise up to the beach chairs which are now right in front of the flower bed area. There is only one row of palapas available due to the loss of beach frontage.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Fabulous resort

We loved everything about the Eldorado Seaside Palms. The resort is immaculate, staff are super friendly, the food is excellent other than lacking in choices at lunch. Dinners are great. The entertainment during Halloween and Day of the Dead was beyond spectacular. The Bali beds and loungers are plentiful and one never had to get up at the crack of dawn to “reserve” one. We will be returning for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Last minute trip!

All said this hotel was very satisfactory. It was a last min. Deal so for the price it was ok.I wouldnt call it luxury but beautiful weather and of course their employees were very helpful.good trip.🌴🌞🍦☕️🍺🇨🇦

El Dorado Seaside Palms: A really great resort

This resort is a beautiful Mexican experience! The grounds are well kept with amazing restaurants. Our room was spacious and staff was super friendly. The “Day of the Dead “ celebration was outstanding!

Barcelo Maya Palace: Review about Barcelo Maya Palace

This was the first time we booked vacation through trip central, very happy with the service from Beth & Manuela, thank you. The resort is beautiful, huge but very clean, the staff are really nice, helpful. Foods from buffets are tasty & lots of varieties. Room is clean but a little bit dated. Beach with white sands, no seaweeds, so amazing. Overall such a nice vacation so relaxed & happy. We recommend this resort.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: LOVE ABBWR

This is my favourite beach resort in the Caribbean. I love the food. Love the sushi bar and the a la carte gourmet restaurants.The rooms are spacious and clean, and every room has an ocean view. There are minor issues (our coffee pot leaked and was not replaced even though we requested it) but I know that the resort is in the process of renovating rooms. Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing resort!

Check-in was smoth and efficient, Restaurants were all excellent Staff were happy and friendly, the property was clean and well maintained. Ample amount of lounge chairs at the pool and the beach. Pools are large and clean. Rooms have lots of storage. Beds are firm. Huge resort with 2 double decker busses come every 15-20mins. Lots of activities available on site. Lots of coral and fish at the beach,

had a great stay, the people were very friendly and helpful, wheelchair accessibility was excellent, made the trip easy! Beach is nice, grounds and rooms kept spotless, great variety of food, plentiful drinks, lots of lounges by the ocean and pools.

was very impressed with this Hotel. Its run by a great organized team that puts customer experience and service as top priority. My family experienced a luxurious, clean, fun and relaxing vacation for a great price . Very impressed with Staff and service, they were all so helpful and friendly. Every day they had different variety of dishes to choose from , i never got bored of eating . We were there on halloween and they made custom halloween dishes for people to try, It was the cutest thing ever . The rooms were also very clean , modern bright and spacious and house keeping was always on point . The entertainment was also lots of fun ! Every day from morning to night there is always something going on for the families . From cooking classes , volleyball , soccer , fun games amongst other things to do . They have a weekly and hourly calendar that is posted on the wall that shows all their events . The entertainment shows at night were a lot of fun to watch, they had professional dancing shows , circus acrobats , karaoke and so much more . The hosts were very energetic as well . From 10:30 pm 12:00 every night they had a kid friendly outdoor dance party every nigh which was a lot of fun . I kind of wish they had an adult after party indoor club and dj that went on a bit later then 12 for those of us that wanted to continue to dance and party . But then again this is considered a family friendly hotel so i can see why they don’t have a club. The dj does need to work a bit on his mixing and music choices when changing songs. As it didn’t flow nicely but he did try his best still fun overall . Beach was nice and clean , although it was Seaweed season and i wish they would’ve cleaned up the seaweed more frequently to make it more aesthetically pleasing. They had lots of pool space and chairs which was nice . The Bars , ice cream parlours , fresh juice bars , coffee shops was also a nice little treat for everyone . Overall it was an amazing experience and i highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a reasonable family friendly hotel without jeopardizing any of the normal luxurious you would expect to receive . Ocean Coral Y Turquesa . You all went above and beyond for your guests and it didn’t go unnoticed . Great Job ! Will be recommending you to all my friends .

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Could have been good but…

we were put in building 19 which they were doing construction on and we woke up to the noise daily. On check out day we were pelted with large chunks of stucco and concrete which was such a safety hazard. Might sue for damages honestly. I could have lost an eye or worse. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing.

Riu Palace Mexico: Very nice resort!!!

Very beautiful hotel located in the gated community, super safe for evening walks. The lobby gave us that retro vibe. The whole hotel is filled with inspirational art pieces. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm from all the hotel’s stuff starting from reception desk and ending with waitresses, maids and gardeners. This was the first time when we didn’t feel harassed for tips and people actually did their job. Didn’t spend time by the pool at all as for us the beach was more imp [... read more]ortant. The beach was very clean and specious. No matter at what time you come there are always plenty of reclining loungers available. Food was very fresh and always new dishes. Very big variety, we haven't had a chance to try out everything. We were emptying our plates every time, the food was very tasty and not overcooked. From day one, never had a problem with an upset stomach. We really enjoyed our stay inn and we will be definitely coming back.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Luxury Akumal - 2 Thumbs up

Ok, my personal opinion. The rooms are dated but I understand they are working on this. The resort was very clean. The buffet wasn't bad. Having access to the A La Cartes was a nice option. They know how to make a mean mojitho unfortunatley they ran out of mint at the beach bars all the time. The main beach area was beautiful, no seaweed! The staff was wonderful. If you have a family this seems to be a popular option for Brits travelling with kiddos. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great resort.

Grounds were beautiful ,rooms were clean ,hotel staff were friendly and the food was plentiful with lots of variety.Entertainment staff did a great job and pool area had lots of chairs and loungers.Beach area had lots of loungers.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Outstanding

After reading several mixed reviews I was unsure of what to expect. This resort is beautiful. staff were wonderful and hope to return again soon. Ivan asked me my name and remembered me every time I went to the buffet. weather was beautiful. Beach at the beach resort was the best. Food plentiful and good variety. Can't say enough about how amazing the Barcello is.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Great Resort!!

Very clean and friendly, great food. Had everything we wanted and if we needed anything else they made sure we had it. Quieter resort so was nice for relaxing but lots of entertainment . Would definitely recommend going there and will probably try to go back to this location

We had a 10 stay at this hotel and it was fantastic. The staff bent over backwards to help in any way they can. Staff is so courteous and friendly and try so hard in every way to make our stay a memorable one. The staff never stop cleaning as the place is immaculate. They keep the pools clean and safe. Great bartenders m [... read more]aking up any request we had. The beach was mostly clear of seaweed as the staff kept it clear and a big bonus was no vendors on the beach. This is a very large property and requires a lot of walking, although they have golf cart buses to get you around. We love to walk so it didn't bother us at all. Actually after all that great food the exercise was welcome. The only complaints were that the elevator outside our 4th floor room was not working and very limited hot water for the first couple of days but they got the hot water issue repaired.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Amazing resort- great vacation

It is one of the best I have experienced. We were party of 10 and none of us had anything bad to say. Great rooms, clean resort and amenities. There was great selection for food, fewer restaurants than they had listed but still good selection. I would have been nice to experience Mexican a la carte restaurant. Over all I would give 5+. Most staff was friendly, some more the other.
