Roc Arenas Doradas: My 2nd home!

I have returned to this hotel many many times. I love it here! The staff are all so nice and accommodating. The grounds are well looked after Some of the rooms have been updated. They are in the process of upgrading the others. But old or new, they are all still comfortable. The beach is beautiful. Hot white sand! There are 3 bars which are easily accessible. There is always pasta, pork, fish and chicken. And I am going back as soon as I can. It is my home away from home!

Hotel Los Cactus: I was impressed by Los Cactus

This is my 18 visit to the island, never thinking of visiting Los Cactus, big mistake, the resort is AMAZING, best rooms i get in years, service is great like allways in Cuba, very clean inside and out, 24 h pool tables and pingpong, tenis court, piano bar, the pool is bigggg, i recomended to check it out, i am back in March for sure.

Roc Barlovento: The friendliest staff

Been to this resort 10 times. It may not me the top of the line but it is clean and the friendliest staff ever. As soon as we walk in to start our vacation we are greater by so many happy staff . They are so happy to see us.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Good Resort

The lunch and dinner buffet was the same every day. There was chicken, pork, fish an shrimp made to order. The seasoning was lacking but that’s Cuba in general! There is a clear lack in fruits and vegetables, there was no lettuce, tomato, onion, the only fruits were watermelon, guava, papaya, pineapple, grapefruit. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Vacation

Very nice place- would go again. Little too much Fish to choose for food for us :( overall was great :) Beach could of been cleaned up more often by shoreline, but was nice! Great entertainment, friendly people and beautiful scenery

Los Delfines: Adequate, good price

Room (standard): floor not swept and fridge dirty on arrival, shower lever not working but repaired in good time. No phone to contact reception. Linen: only 2 medium towels, no bath mat, only bottom sheet on bed, worn blanket with holes (but clean), no extra blankets We were upgraded to a suite as it was our anniversary, it had a table and chairs, regular size new fridge and ocean view. However, the water new got warmer than room temp, and the day before leaving a water pipe burst in the build [... read more]ing, so there was no water for bathing or flushing the toilet. The biggest disappointment was that no one came to offer us the use of another room to shower in (no phone for us to contact reception or vice versa). We used the outdoor showers and lobby toilet (in another building). Food: okay, not a huge variety, but fine. It was much better our last day - that seems to happen often in Cuba. The snack bar sandwiches and fries were cold and not very good. The regular snack bar was closed for renos, so perhaps it is better there. Bar: poor synthetic pina colada, beer and basic mixed drinks okay. Wine was sometimes served at the buffet, present at the a la carte. The a la carte was a highlight because it is in a colonial Spanish building. The food was not much better than the buffet, but the ambience is worth it. Shows: basic, music off at 11 pm. Did not do the pool activities - pool was fine. Would we return - yes, it is great value and a central location. The staff were friendly and treated us well, masks were worn in the buffet but not elsewhere. There were only 20 cases per day being reported in the country that week.

Melia Varadero: Fantastic resort!

We’re very happy we choose this resort and had a great week in Cuba ! The location is fantastic, only a 10 minute taxi ride to downtown Varadero, which we went to 3 days for shopping, eating out, chatting with locals, and stopping for some Cuban rum lol! The rooms are simple, but clean. Beds comfortable. The A/C works very well, in fact almost too well ! The staff are beyond friendly and accommodating, and very very grateful for your tips. The food is the only downfall i can speak of fo [... read more]r this resort. The choices are very limited for breakfast, thankfully you can make a ham and cheese sandwich if you don’t care for eggs. Dinner at the ala Carte is very very good though. Pool is wonderful, lots of choice for chairs in the sun or shade, and the beach area and ocean stunningly carribean and just beautiful. Would definitely return.

Melia Las Americas: A home away from home!!

It has been at least six years since we stayed at the Melia Las Americas. This fine resort has been nothing but highly professional and helpful to its customers. They even have set up a v.i.p. lounge in which a photo of the frequent patrons is presented on one of the walls. We have, over the course of fourty years, stayed in all of the different rooms. It was heart warming upon arrival to see the staff, who immediately recognized us and set us up in an upgraded room with no charge.This res [... read more]ort is and will always be our home away from home.

Club Kawama: going down

we have been to kawama 4 times and it is getting worse,no hot water,rain through our walls,no light in bathroom,less towels and not changed everyday,no milk,not a big selection of food,no pina coladas,etc.no hair dryer, no cable most of time.when we got home our onesuitcase had been broken into and 2 bottles of rum and 3 packs of cigarettes gone.not impressed,we have been to cuba 26 times and this is the first.I have talked to hola sun and waiting to get back to me.and the human resourses rep at [... read more] hotel kawama knows.

Club Kawama: Club Kawama Hotel

The hotel was very good...as always it is...the staff are amazing very friendly and happy to help any one out...the rooms are clean everyday...the food is good... the beach is awesome...luv going to the same hotel they know me there and I get treated with open arms and friendly hello and welcome back to the hotel until next time...I do excursions too from the hotel and shopping for gifts too.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort

Everything was good a part from the food! Oh and the cleanliness of the beach! You go in the morning and you notice there are used glasses from a day before which were not picked up and washed and left there over night! The gypsies who try to sell stuff to you are always on the beach and they are very disruptive. They sometimes get into a fight within themselves and ruin your relaxation.

Starfish Varadero: Absolutely terrible resort

Food terrible! Paper cups for drinks. One coffee machine for whole resort (broke down)Had to purchase own wine ! Snack bar a joke, ham sandwich with less than a mm of ham or fish sandwich on DRY bread. Very low standards! Moved to another resort after 3 days , couldn't take anymore.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Worth a stay

The variety in pools and access to the beach are great. The nightly shows on the resort and activities on the beach/pool side (dancing. Games) was a great add on that i was not expecting. It made every day fun hearing the music and feeling apart of the culture. The staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Rooms could use some work. The bathtub would not drain and a few minor aesthetic items. During a rain storm in the hallway the rain was pouring through a light fixture. The food was okay (lik [... read more]e everywhere experiencing shortages) they offered the best selection of food possible. You wont go hungry. The "specialty" Restaurants (italian and romantic) were not worth it. There was nothing different from the buffet just less options on fancier plates. My spaghetti noodles came out with a big clump stuck together. The "vegetable salad" came with nothing on it for a dressing. It was just bare cabbage. The options in the store are very slim (no snack items) so if you are bringing kids or even some adults i suggest bringing some items with you. Overall i would recommend this resort to stay. It was beautiful. Hopefully some of the minor details can be taken care of to ensure people want to come back.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great first time experience in Cuba

This was my first time in Cuba. Stayed at the Iberostar Laguna Azul. As I expected the food is blah. But I didn't go hungry. Of note next time I visit, I won't waste my time at the specialty restaurants as its pretty mush the same food at the buffet. The hotel room itself is looking dated but again, I was only there to sleep in. Hotel staff very friendly and the swim up bartender Felix was great. Looking forward to going back. Oh and next time I will be taking some American $$.

Melia Internacional: I have a nice time!

Pros: One of the best beaches I’ve been. Hotel is in good shape. Rooms are ok. Staff really nice. Cons: Check in two hours for us and for some guys we meet there was six hours. Food needs more choices

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Melia Peninsula Varadero Cuba

I found the hotel very well equipped and comfortable. The air-conditioning did not work Power went out every day at least three to four times per day The food was good, and the hotel staff are doing a very good job post covid with cleaning and at the buffet.

Melia Internacional: We had a perfect time!

The hotel, room and staff was amazing! The food was not bad at all as people say it would be. We actually did not mind it at all. There is something for everyone, plenty of options and cooked and tasted very good. Please try to keep in mind the country is having a very hard time especially after the pandemic and supplies coming in. Try to be a bit more understanding and patient. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great beach escape

Tammy selected this hotel for me as I said I wanted somewhere with a great beach. I was not disappointed. The beach was beautiful, well maintained. The room was spacious. The gym was not busy, and had a good selection of equipment present. The staff at the resort were fantastic, always greeting you with a smile, and very keen to help. I travelled solo, and felt safe the whole time I was there. I would come back to this resort.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: The worse resort

This has been the worse resort in my entire life. My family and I couldn’t stand how bad it was that we have to pay extra to our airline agent and go to another hotel. Please don’t go there. They need to close this hotel, make renovation, improve the gastronomy, train the stuff and improve their salaries so they can give a good service. I never complain and I am very tolerant but this was the worse experience ever.

Melia Varadero: Excellent Resort

All facilities was excellent. The beach is beautiful. The service was friendly and magnificent. The activities are really nice for the family member. The resort and the room always clean and fresh. Definitely amazing Resort
