Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Amazing new resort

This adults only resort is certainly a gem! I was recommending it to friends and family before my vacation was even over! The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff very friendly and helpful.. unfortunately there are too many to name. I loved the 3 pool areas… party pool near the beach and a quiet vibe closer to the lobby area. Although the resort had only opened the month before, the gardens and trees were healthy and growing well. Many pallapas were welcome at the pool area and at the huge beach. The entire resort was very clean. We enjoyed the rooftop Sunset Bar which also has a pool and lounge chairs, and spent an afternoon at the spa. We walked through Serenade Punta Cana and enjoyed the entertainment in the large auditorium, but we much preferred the relative quiet of our resort. Iberostar Selection Coral Bavaro: Thoroughly EnjoyableVacation

My wife and I were looking for a relaxing week on a nice beach and Coral Level at Iberostar Bavaro certainly delivered. We ate at the Coral buffet for breakfast and lunch everyday and the food was very good. Decent selection and fresh fruit in the mornings and a good variety for lunch. Enjoyed the a la cartes for dinner although we both thought the Mexican was the weakest here. Our room was fantastic! Everything was close enough and were able to quickly get a cart to the front for the restaurants/shops up there. All in all, was the resort we were looking for for his vacation. We have been to Punta Cana 7 times before and therefore didn't do any excursions.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great all around!

This was a beautiful resort with something for everyone! Plenty of bars and restaurants, pools, lazy river, gym etc. I loved that reservations were not needed for restaurants (except tepanyaki) and the food was great. Steakhouse and Italian were my favourites. Staff were super friendly. Room was clean and modern. Would definitely go back.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Excellent resort!

Once again, another wonderful trip! I can’t say enough about the resort, the staff, the food and accommodations. Second time visiting, not to be disappointed, leaving me very much wanting to go back! I have a special diet, which they very much are accommodated with no problem at all. It will now always be my go to place being it gives you everything you could possibly want in a vacation.

TRS Turquesa: Good with a few execptions

The hotel was ok at best. You can tell that it is an older hotel. Our patio door didn't lock (we were on the first floor) and was very hard to open and close. Half of the time our key fobs didn't work so we had to go to the lobby to reset. The first three days, we didn't have cold water, you will burn yourself taking a hot shower. One day we asked our butler to make a reservation for four people to one of the restaurants for our second last day, they made it for two, so we never got the chance t [... read more]o eat there. I had requested first floor because I cannot do stairs and was not aware that they didn't have elevators when we booked 10 months prior, they put me on the third floor and I refused the room. Had to pay extra $350 to get a room on the first floor.

Ocean Blue and Sand: It was" just" okay

The good: The rooms were clean was the resort. The pool was huge and beautiful. The entertainment was good. The food was very good and there was a large selection of foods to choose from the buffet. The bad: The room coffee maker just worked, spewing brew everywhere. No coffee provided for the mornings. The alcoholic drinks are watered down and anything slushy tasted like cardboard. The vendors on the beach and in the resort itself were agressive. No matter where one walked, someone was att [... read more]empting to take up your time to sell you an excursion or alike. The staff was generally unfriendly, regardless if a tip was left or not.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Very nice clean well maintained resort

Entertainment could have been better Bus ride from the airport was more than an hour Requested two beds but none available ended up with a king size and a roll away - did not pay to sleep on a rollaway bed

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Substandard Resort

Grounds are beautiful rooms are old and small but kept clean,public areas are fine,food in specialty rest.very poor,in buffet only so so and the same every day,beach one of the worst and smallest we have been to, pool is great.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Very pleased and satisfied!

We were very impressed with the compact size of Chic which made all food and facilities close at hand. The pools and beach areas are scenic and shade is available when needed. Buffets are as good as the a-la-cartes which were also fantastic...food is the best and plentiful. We joined the Diamond Club and our butler, Billy Joel, catered to our every concern and whim..he is the best!!! Our room, Presidential Suite, was HUGE and close to the pools, beach and restaurants.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: very nice resort

it is older resort luck of towels rooms are not perfectly clean but ok perfect location to the nice beach very good buffet over all good service moore less what we where expecting had a premium adult resort with nice view to ocean and lovely beach staff very nice specially guest service spoke inglish went out of there way to help especialy mr.Arron Miller realy nice human be who offer us his services when my wife strugle with her medical equipment coud not thank him enough what he done for us  [... read more]thank again Mr.Miller .pool was also very nice.we looking forward to go there again next year

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Top shelf resort

If you have kids, this is the resort for your family. The food was amazing, best in the Dominican that I have been to. The grounds immaculate. The staff, other than the check in staff, were great and just about everyone spoke some English. The swim up rooms were great for your private time.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: This was an amazing resort.

The rooms of this hotel were modern and very clean. Public areas were also kept very clean as well. The lush greenery, colourful tropical plans and tall palm trees were beautiful .. and just made you feel happy. The food was excellent, and the choices we had of restaurants was very good .. you could dine somewhere different each evening.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful and amazing Resort

Loved the hotel and the whole resort. It is like being in Paradise, The mangers and staff are friendly and amazing and always willing to help. We were treated like family. We had an amazing time with family and friends. We definitely recommend the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar ❤️

Ocean El Faro: Nice resort

This resort is beautiful and clean. Room was amazing with large bathroom, kingsize bed & sitting area with sofa, chair, coffee table & desk. No room clock or facecloths. The food was OK. Getting reservations for the a la carte restaurants was a nightmare! The H10 app wasn't working so had to line up at 7:15 a.m. (along with dozens of other guests) to make same day reservations! No welcome drink or cool cloth upon arrival & only one reception desk employee to check in our busload. Had to beg a be [... read more]llboy to take us to our room. First time at this resort & it was midnight! He dropped us off in front of the building & just pointed us to the building. Hubby's wristband/room door access didn't work. Had to get a card for him. No email sent to us to advise of the transfer pick up time for departure. Didn't see a Sunwing/Nexus rep the entire time we were there. Due to these many small details and the shier size of the resort we would not be returning to this hotel.

Occidental Caribe: An O.K hotel!

Amazing beach! The room was not the best and all elevators were not working but I was so happy with the beach I didn't care about the room or anything else. Service at the hotel and restaurants are good. Food was good but I wish there were more vegetables offered.

Ocean El Faro: Nice resort, but

The resort is very nice with lots of entertainment. We really liked the silent disco event in the main lobby. Bowling was fun and pool activities were good. The lazy river was fun. BUT booking restaurants was a pain. You have to get up at 6:30 to be in line before 7 then wait in line TIL 8 to make a reservation and if you are not in the first ten to twenty good luck getting a time before 9pm. It appears the privilege and El Beso adults only sections get to book ahead of the normal guests, even f [... read more]or the restaurants that are listed as no reservations required. It kinda makes you feel second class. The resort is big. Some rooms are a 15 minute walk to the lobby. Food in the restaurants was pretty good but the buffet was hit or miss. Pools were good, The beach had weeds and is rough.

Ocean El Faro: Big improvement from our stay in 2020

First time we stayed at Ocean El Faro was Jan 2020 and noted several concerns in a review. Well we just got back from resort last night after a week with other family members.. I can say they really have made considerable improvements.. Had a swim out room family side again and noticed daily attention to cleaning pool vs no cleaning before. (there was dust clouds when you walked in pool 2020), Main common pool had lots of chairs and many umbrellas , walk around bar service. Beach set up with lo [... read more]ts of chairs and thatched palapas. For softer sand to vs some stoney area, the unused property to the left is better. This is an example of attitude and attention given by most of the staff we encountered this trip. There was a difference in service levels between Family side and Adult side of the main Buffet and the family side staff were quick to serve coffee and refills etc and were very friendly, not so much on adult side. It seemed the quality of food in the buffet was a bit low this trip...maybe grocery store inflation ? All the other restaurants, bars etc were very good to excellent. Food as described on menu was delivered cooked just right, in timely manner, drinks provided and quick for refills. Staff very friendly.. we see they seem to enjoy their job. Room was cleaned daily bed change mid week, asked for extra towels first day and they kept that up daily. (however my daughter had to ask several time) Good friendly service fairly consistent all around the resort. HIGH Score for Steak and Italian and Sekura. I may be remembering wrong but, there was a beach side restaurant we used on first visit but all three near the beach are restricted to El Besso or Privileged. We inquired at all 3 and told no for us. Only beach area food is BBQ Burgers and Hot dogs for lunch (precooked and siting around) Ocean Blue and Sand opens their Villa Marina for lunch for everyone (stayed there last year) Fairly consistent shuttle from lighthouse to lobby and stops anywhere in between with a double cart. Really like the new wrist band / key card. Happy to recommend Ocean El Faro to anyone who asks.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Fantastic Resort

Hotel and property is quality. The renovations to the Grand Lobby make this property attractive and functional. Stunning gardens, amazing staff and service, so attentive and friendly. The property and amenities have all you need it’s just the right size to explore but walkable which is the best experience. Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: 6 out of 10 in our group got sick.

First of all the serving staff in all the restaurants went above and beyond. The concierge desk needs to act like a concierge desk and ensure what they promise actually happens. Those folks need to communicate with the restaurants and the front desk. It was so frustrating that they didn't seem to work as a team to esure the guests enjoy their stay. We were a group of 10 - 5 couples. We paid extra for a specific rooms and 3 of the couples didn't get the rooms we paid for - front desk finally g [... read more]ave us cash after numerous visits asking for a refund. We asked conceirge desk to please reserve a table for 10 at the restaurants. Out of the 5 reservations only 2 were actually booked eventhough we went several days to ensure a table of 10 was booked. The restaurant staff would do all possible to cover for the lack of communication from the concierge desk and would manage to seat us all together after waiting a little while. Rooms were missing clothes irons/steamers, blow dryers and our room door didn't even lock from the inside. The iron and blow dryer requests were quickly resolved. The lock on our door was never repaired. The light in the shower as well as the magnifying mirrow light also did not work in many of the 5 rooms booked. Maintenance crew painted the handrails in Bldg 6. There were no signs anywhere and we got paint on our hands & clothes. We advised the concierge. However no one ever bothered to put up any "wet paint" signs. *ALERT* Bar by the pool/ocean does not wash their glasses. We witnessed and refused drinks several times when we saw them throwing out the reminants of other guests drink and refilling them with drinks for us. When confronted they were not pleased but complied and actually washed the glasses with soap & water. We experienced this several times during the week. There is a little bar off to the right of the restaurants. We ordered some drinks there after supper 2 of the wives were severly ill that night. The entertainment group tried their best to keep everyone motivated. However they should have organized the kareokee in the sports bar and had other entertainment for the majority of the guests who do not enjoy that. We were there 4 years ago and we couldn't wait to go back. So we brought 8 friends with us this time. We wished they had brought back the rock band and the artist to make up for 2 of the nites that only had dance parties. Koodos to Ramirez - "oh my Jesus" if it wasn't for him the guests would be falling asleep. He kept everyone going but in a respectful way that made you want to participate in the activities. The sports group were better the first time we were there... one of the yoga instructors didn't look like he wanted to be there, we ould barely hear him. 4 of the group were extremely ill and some continue to be ill 2 weeks after being back even after taking antibiotics etc. My doctor advised that I was her 4th patient to come from the D.R. sick. The resort is under renovations that are really needed. Unfortunately due to this experience we will not be returning to Chic. Apparently they have been bought out by Marriott lets hope they can bring this place back to how it was 4-5 years ago.
