Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: One of the nicest places we been

what made this hotel so good was the staff. Such friendly and polite staff. They constantly went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The resort had a lot to offer, and was very clean The worst thing there were the buffet restaurants. No variety and basically seem breakfast and lunches every day , with very little fruit available. The a la carte restaurants were extremely good though. we would certainly go back there again.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: So relaxing!

My husband and I visited here with two other couples and we were all able to participate in different activities throughout the day, or some participating in activities, some lounging around the pool or on the beach. The animation team was amazing! Roberto and Julio were hilarious playing volleyball and Alfredo and Yandra kept two of us moving with water aerobics. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Pleasant resort

We are pleased to agree with all the excellent reviews about this resort. With the great food, clean facilities and friendly staff it was hard not to enjoy everything about this place. We did not partake in the night life most evenings due to fatigue so can't comment on it however the daytime entertainers were very professional in keeping people amused. The ocean was not appealing for swimming however we knew that beforehand so were not disappointed. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Resort!

We recently vacationed for a week at the Iberostar Costa Dorada with a group of 14. Check in was effecient with pleasant staff. We were in bldg. #7 on the 3rdfoor. Room was great and was cleaned well every day. We only had a little problem with our safe but someone came up and fixed it within minutes. The entire resort was well groomed. We enjoyed the buffets as there was lots of variety and the 3 alacartes were exceptional with wonderful service. Sunscape Puerto Plata: This was a superb place .

This is our second time with the grand kids and we were received with a welcome banner on our door a bottle of rum and some fruits . I thought the touch was so warm that they recognized our stay there. The food is fantastic and the servants are always smiling and there to help with anything. Not like other resort if you are missing something in the room they do it right away, so you don t have to ask again. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Reasonable resort for the price.

We had cockroaches but we had hot running water. The food should have been a lot better but the weather was great. Some kitchen cooking and serving staff sucked but Carlos made a great omelette Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday - Thanks Carlos. We had a leak in the middle of the bathroom ceiling. The resort had low attendance which is great but your nightly entertainment absolutely sucked, I mean it really really sucked. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Beautiful Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of choices for dining. Food was good. Could do with less pressure sales for goods and activities. Beach was nice but the amount of rock and coral in the water limited the water activities such as sailing and windsurfing.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: My Second Home

As you no I go to Casa Marina a lot and it is like a second home, the people who work there are like family they asked you how your family back home are and they want to no things about you. I myself have no complaints with the hotel and don't get ask for any extras, I get to know everyone from the ones front desk to my lady who cleans my room to the gardeners. Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Amazing Resort

The hotel was small and intimate, got to know many staff members, who were always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very big compared to other resorts i have been to. The pools were clean and well maintained and the beach was lovely and very long. The food was varied and plentiful, with 4 a la cartes and the main buffet, I felt like I was going out to a high class restaurant every evening. Although first time in DR, not first time in Caribbean and I must say that this fine resort to spend a short holiday. Resort was well laid out and easy to become familiar with, check in and check out quick and professional. Lobby bar was well stocked and friendly welcoming staff. Quiet and peaceful. King size bed was soft and comfortable, maid service was top notch and professional. Plenty of choices and good food in the buffet with prompt, pleasant attentive wait staff. Lunches at the beach and in the beach restaurant meant always having a nice meal without dressing for main restaurant. Overall a great resort that Management and Iberostar can be proud to represent. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Awesome staff

Sunscape puerta plata is a small resort with amazing staff. Rooms were great, food was delicious, pool and beach were fantastic. I would return to this resort in the future and definitely recomment this resort to friends

Sunscape Puerto Plata: I loved this resort!!

The resort was fabulous!! It was not a larger scale resort and therefore walking to all areas was done in just a few minutes. The main pool was quite large and hosted a swim up bar and snack bar which was very convenient. The a la Cartes were available every night and you did not need a reservation which I really liked. Just outside the area of the restaurants is a bar and pizzeria- the pizza is made to order and was delicious- if you like pizza, you’ll have to check this out. The food was te [... read more]rrific and the service was top notch, especially in the a la carte restaurants. The beach was about a 5 minute walk from our building and while there were no umbrellas for the chairs on the beach, there were lots of trees to relax under and enjoy the ocean breeze. The resort was very clean and well maintained. And, I felt very safe in the area. Other areas where I vacationed had armed guards at the gates and you were told not to leave the resort. This resort did not have armed guards and you could walk to the mini mall (mostly souvenir type shops) without any worries. I would definitely recommend this resort and I am looking forward to going back at some time in the future.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Another wedding aniversary success!

Staff, staff, staff! They are why we keep returning to this resort. Good food choices, clean updated rooms. Great location from airport. Wife happy beach. Stayed two weeks at an excellent price. Hard to find a negative comment, but here I go. The bacon was usually tough. Sorry, but that is all I can complain about! That was our fourth trip to VH Gran Ventana and we will be returning next year for our 49th aniversary.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Quiet amazing resort

Very clean all over. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Didn’t see a bug out there. They had new beach lounge chairs. The a la carte restaurants are very good and the buffet had a good variety. This is my second time too this resort and planing again to return next year for 2 weeks again.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Love this

The food, staff, quality, pools are so amazing! We travel here 2-3 times a year and always stay at this hotel/resort. The games and animation staff are great. However, they need to update the music. I would like to hear more Bachata and Salsa since I am in the Dominican Republic. I don't want to hear old 80/90's music (example: titanic song & rhythm of the night)

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

This resort is my favorite. Every time we travel to Puerto Plata we stay at this resort. The staff is friendly, the cleaning staff is amazing. The food could be better but its better than most resorts I have been too.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great and very relaxing place.

The resort was excellent, food was, people very nice and helpful, and price was reasonable. We are planning to go back to Iberostar Puerto Plata again next year. It was the best place to recharge butteries if you have a stressful job or any events in your life.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great Family Vacation

We stayed at the VH Gran Ventana the week of Oct 16 -23. We upgraded to the Premium Package which I was very thankful for. Arrival at airport was easy peesy, and they had us off to our resort within 45 mins of arriving. When we arrived not all of our rooms were ready, but Tony took care of us and made sure we had drinks in hand while we waited. Resort is very small compared to others we have been to, and because it was low season, there really was not a lot going on while we were there. Animat [... read more]ion team consisted of 4 people all week. Two were sequestered for the kiddies and other two hung around the pool and games area. They had nothing going on at the beach, not even a bbq. The rooms were great, and with the premium package we never had an issue with towels, replenishing our fridge items or shortage of Hersey kisses every night. Food was good at the buffet every day and they alternated al la carted nightly between two dinning rooms, but all were good. We celebrated 2 birthdays while there and they were very accommodating for both nights. I do recommend visiting Jacqueline aka “Jackie” at the adult only pool bar. She livens things up. A big shout out to Amable our wonderful server on the beach, he does everything to ensure you are taken care of for drinks, food and interesting information about the beach. One warning, and this may turn me off from visiting DR is the peddling on the beach, they are relentless, just when you think you are drifting of to relaxation, you hear their voice saying “excuse me” Excursions were fun, highly recommend the mega extreme tour. The shows at night were mediocre, but again I think it was due to it being low season. All in all it was a good spot for a quiet vacation.
