Riu Negril: Not how I remember

The hotel is still pretty good but now how we remember it from a few years ago. Food is still great. Entertainment is still terrific. Front staff was great. But onto the not so great. Issues with cockroaches. Which we never experienced there before. Salon stylist was rude for no reason. I asked if they had an idea of how long it would take to braid my daughters hair just for planning purposes and the person doing the booking tried to ask the stylist. She wouldnt even look as us and it was us tha [... read more]t was asking. She talked only to the other worker and said, how should she know since "them hair is different from we". Rude for no reason. Im sure my daughter isnt the first mixed persons hair she ever braid. She could have given an estimate. And to not even address us directly was ignorant. Also found alot of staff just didnt seem cheerful like they usually do. Unfortunately it will be our last stay at this resort.

Couples Tower Isle: Had a wonderful vacation

Just returned from our first visit to Couples Tower Isle and would like to try other Couples resorts as we were very pleased with all they offered. After arriving in Jamaica we were welcomed at the Couples lounge with snacks and drinks. Got a nice but long 2 hour ride (due to traffic) to the resort where we were warmly welcomed with towels and drinks. Check in went quickly and we were given a garden view room in Building 3 on the second floor. The room was clean and comfy, had a nice view, f [... read more]ridge stocked according to our preference and everything worked. Our housekeeper did a great job all week tidying up our mess, and keeping the room clean and supplied with towels. It was easy to make reservations for the 2 specialty restaurants, to book the catamaran ride and to take part in the water sports. Service was excellent all throughout the resort even though they looked short staffed at one restaurant as the workers were running off their feet serving us. The sea was a bit cooler than expected and wavy for the first half of the week and some seaweed came in when it rained but it cleared up again the next day. Did not need to wear water shoes in the sea. However, the extra breeze kept the temperature very comfortable and mosquitos weren't a problem. Enjoyed playing pool and table tennis but the games room could use brighter lights. Would have liked more Jamaican food but still overate as the food was delicious. At this resort you can do lots or just relax. Can't wait to go to another Couples resort!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Horrible start

I was not happy with how things started. We got to our room and there were no towels and the bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty, not to mention there was open drinks in the mini bar. So disappointing

It is a big resort. too big for my liking. Service was so so. Room was not clean. No water for 2 days. Shower was broken and the list goes on Reception was slow to attend to needs but it is understanble due to the amount of guest they have to attend to.

Beautiful resort but shouldn’t be considered a 5star the hotels need to be repaired cracked walls, leaking showers and some unfriendly staff should make this resort a 4star. With minor improvements and upgrades they can be back to a 5star standard.

Princess Grand Jamaica: Amazing Resort

I wanted to start off by saying that the resort it's very beautiful. It is a huge resort and different pools that you can enjoy. The staff, entertainment, drinks are great. Super clean with huge rooms. The food needs improvement for sure.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: amazing resort.. !!!

Ocean Coral Spring: Ocean coral spring

The hotel was lovely. The food was great. Rooms were nice. Beach was not the best but the pools and lazy river made up for it. Entertainment around the pool was okay but you didn’t feel pressured to join if you didn’t want to. Evening entertainment was poor in the theatre but did have a live band outside which was much better. Had a really good time and would go back

Couples Tower Isle: Excellent resort

The staff was outstanding, everyone spoke and always had a smile! The food was a bit spicy but on a scale of one to 10, we would say a nine. Always plenty of variety and excellent desserts! The only drawback is the long drive from the airport .But the staff and location help you to overlook the one drawback!

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Needs Improvement/Upgrading

It pains me to write this because I had the pleasure of interacting with some truly wonderful staff members during my stay. However, I feel it’s important that management understands the areas where improvement is urgently needed in order to deliver the level of service and quality expected at a resort. Arrival Experience & Room Readiness Upon arrival around 1:00 p.m., I was informed that my room wouldn’t be ready for another three hours. Room Conditions & Amenities There was no hot water on the first day, and water pressure remained very low throughout my stay. The phone in the room was not working, which meant I had to walk to the lobby to communicate with guest services. No washcloths were provided, and the towels available were old, worn, and in urgent need of replacement. The front door was damaged, and the lock felt flimsy and outdated. Safety and peace of mind are essential while vacationing. The room layout was poorly configured, especially in regard to electrical outlets. In this digital age, having outlets near the bed for phone charging should be standard. Dining Experience During breakfast, lunch, and dinner, utensils were consistently missing from the tables. Guests should not have to request basic items—cutlery should be set and readily available at all times. Entertainment & Atmosphere The resort lacks visibility and promotion of entertainment activities. There was little to no communication or signage about what was happening onsite, making it hard for guests to engage or plan their evenings. External Vendor Experience The vendors outside the resort were extremely aggressive and made guests feel uncomfortable. This kind of persistent behavior discourages engagement with the local community and can negatively impact tourism. It felt more like harassment than hospitality. Final Thoughts I love Jamaica ?? deeply and always look forward to visiting. However, this resort needs to level up its customer service, room standards, and overall amenities—especially given its proximity to higher-end resorts like the S Hotel. Management should seriously consider revamping the business model, investing in infrastructure upgrades, and prioritizing guest comfort and experience. I truly hope this feedback is taken in the spirit intended: to support growth and improvement. The location and staff have potential, but the execution must rise to meet the expectations of today’s travelers.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Amazing food!

The food was unbelievable. It exceeded our expectations! We arrived in the morning and did not get into our room until 5:30pm, which was very inconvenient. When we did get in our room, our keys did not work for 2 days. Every time we needed to get into our room, we had to wait for staff to let us in. The first night this took them 45 minutes at the end of the day when we were exhausted. Eventually in the afternoon on night 2 they replaced the entire lock. It took us going to customer service se [... read more]veral times for this to happen. For this experience alone, I would not recommend the resort. The staff did not make this a priority at all. In general we found the staff to be rude/unfriendly, which was surprising. We had never experienced that at a resort before. This was our first time in Jamaica, we were there as a group of 4. The water was great, the pool was nice, the food was amazing. However the staff and room situation was really disappointing.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very nice resort

The first impression of this hotel was “beautiful”. Welcoming cucumber water, lemon water, cookies and apples were set out at the front area and immediately made use of by my tired and thirsty family. It was mostly amazing there. The pool, the buffet restaurants and some of the staff were just wonderful. Some not so good experiences there, were the overly expensive souvenirs shops, and misleading sunset cruise operators. However, overall we enjoyed our stay there.

Riu Montego Bay: Birthday Success!

I went to riu montego bay with 5 people to celebrate my birthday and i had a fantastic time! First let me say the food at pepes is 10/10 do not miss out. the food overall was really good and the entertainment was phenomenal. the entertainment staff really gave their 100%. I have been to many other resorts and rius and this was the best one. Food great. Drinks were really really strong. We had to ask the bartenders to put tiny shots because they were filling 80% of our cups with alcohol and then  [... read more]adding a splash of juice or pop.Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. We had to call to ask for blankets as those weren't in our room but we got it right away.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Great food and beach, but average customer service

The resort is great. Food was outstanding. If you are not a stickler for customer service, totally recommend the resort. The customer service overall was average, but the service at the bar on the pool was bad.

Couples Negril: The best place to be in Jamaica!

This was our second time at Couples Negril and it continues to deliver. The resort has old charm feel, not very fancy, but it’s clean, functions well and has everything you could possibly need nearby. What makes this place incomparable is the staff! So friendly and welcoming. They treat you like family. The food is incredible, not a bad meal. The desserts are tasty too! Lastly, the beach at Bloody Bay is something that must be experienced. Warm, calm waters, tons of sea life, and no seaweed. Cou [... read more]ples Negril offers daily snorkeling and glass bottom boat rides and a catamaran trip 3 days a week. So much to do and experience and it’s all included.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Amazing Resort!!

We were so pleasantly surprised by this resort. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, the employees made sure to remember our names. The rooms, while small, were immaculate and up-to-date. The pools were clean and inviting as was the beach. The food was top notch! They went over and above to customize your orders if you wished to add or change something.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Enjoyed my stay

We loved the resort, the rooms were beautiful an spacious. The pool were beautiful and kid friendly. The Littles had fun in the Waterpark. Wifi was not the greatest around the resort and lost connection throught the entire resort the day we were leaving and check out was at 12pm and the connection was lost at 7am. Most of the staff was very nice and friendly. Food was delicious for the first couple of days and then the options became limited. The night shows were also desecent but then other nig [... read more]hts you would have to pay $15USD for something that should be included especially for the price that you're paying everything (entertainment) should be included. There is no Disco closed all adult tome is spent in the sports bar... not much to do if your looking to dance and have fun while in the resort. The location of the resort was 1hr and 15 minutes away from the airport.

Riu Palace Aquarelle: Home away from home!

The Riu Palace Aquarelle is an amazing resort to stay in while visiting Jamaica. It's safe, clean and entertaining to the max! You won't get bored with their variety of restaurant options and bar spots! It was so sad to leave after befriending all the staff, truly felt it was home away from home. Highly recommend 10/10 ?

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: What a great stay!

I was very impressed with Tropical Bay. The service and the food were top notch. The resort isn’t huge but offered everything I would want. Wasn’t a crazy party atmosphere, but that was perfect for me. Plus you can go to the Riu Negril with full access to eat, drink and party if you want. Would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.
