Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Could have been better
The hotel grounds were beautiful. The hotel was in a bad shape considering it’s only 8 years old. Our first room was awful, then l asked them to give me what l paid for, which was a king size bed and ocean view. We got that finally, but why the stress? All they had to do is give it to us in the first place. A nice room for Cuba. Water had to be asked even though it’s suppose to be in your room every day. Towels were not changed and l needed to let them know. Food was not the best. Always r [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Bug Off
Awesome time at Memories Caribe well established resort with mature palm trees on the grounds and beach front. Trip was mid October and we only really had one rainy overcast day. But the standing water after the rain and the water features around the resort made a perfect mosquito / no see um breeding ground which made bug spray our friend. The resort tried with airplane crop sprayers to eliminate them but they still found us. Parts of the resort needed some repairs and was poorly lit at night b [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: A simplistic magical place
This was our second visit to this resort. The second time there was a shortage of some alcohols and food. But not the fault of the people or the hotel. However the beauty and the wonderful staff were so unbelievably family like I can see this almost as a second home. We are surely going back Beach is great - we had the swim up room which really makes a difference. Make sure to tip the staff as they really depend on our generosity- The absolutely love Canadians This is an adults only place [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Beautiful resort
This was second trip in 6 months to this resort! We loved it so much and made some new friendships with some staff members. All the staff that work at this resort are absolutely by far the kindest people we’ve ever met. I can’t say enough about the staff at Ibero star Esmeralda Coral. The rooms are beautiful and very clean and fully stocked daily. The swim up rooms are absolutely amazing to be able to sit on your patio and step into the water is so convenient and so lovely. Our butler was [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Very good resort
Very clean resort, excellent service, nice view of the ocean, snack bars - one is open 24 hours, beach bar, Italian restaurant beside beach where you can have lunch instead of going to a classic buffet. Buffet space is air-conditioned, clean, choice of grilled fish, beef and pork. very nice resort. Planing to go back. I am rating this resort 4 and 1/2 stars.
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Very Good Resort
The grounds were kept very exceptional and everything was easy to find. The pools and the beach were amazing. As far as the food goes the alacartes were very good but the buffets not so good (very little variety, no salads and no decent fruit). That being said the most exceptional part of the resort was the staff whose service was outstandingly and friendly.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Happy fun times at Memories Flamenco.
Well located resort, within 15 minutes of the airport. The staff were awesome. The facilities are a bit older, but they get the job done. Food was plentiful if not very varied. Beach was great, but I would recommend water shoes, as a lot of coral and shells build up one the edge.
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Not a 5 star
Our room had to be changed twice. I had requested a king size bed, got 2 singles and the bathroom door had no handle to close. Our towels were never changed and constantly requesting water for our room. The second room was what we wanted in the first place. So why all the stress? The grounds were quite beautiful and the food was good considering it’s Cuba. There is no store to buy any sort of snacks. The staff hardly spoke English and one male at the bar in the lobby didn’t even understan [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Decent resort!
The lobby was great! Open, spacious, clean and elegant looking. The grounds were also pretty nice, the landscaping was awesome; nice planted coconut palm trees, grass and pools made the scenery very beautiful. The dining areas were also great, the Indian and Italian restaurants were a little small in size, but they only book a certain amount of people per night to ensure everyone gets a chance to experience it once for the week. As for the food in these restaurants, they are great; tasty and jus [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Ok resort
Grounds were lovely, people were very nice, pools were very dirty, buffet food was repetitive & cold, a la Cartes were good, but also cold. Rooms were nice, but buildings need some TLC. Was water on floors everyday, leaking from rooms. Beach was long walk & no wait service like was advertised. There was no Entertainment at pool or beach, very disappointing. The views were very nice. I wouldn't recommend the place. They seem to cater to repeat guests, which I get, but they need to make new guest [... read more]
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great views
Will not return to this resort. If you are not a repeat guest you are not important. We arrived for a two week stay sept 30 - Oct 14 . in which we booked in May. Three other people joined us last minute and have been here before. When we arrived the three received their rooms at 10:30 am and we had to wait mine was 2:30 another 4:30 and the other 6:00 p.m. when we got our room keys they did not give us wifi password so had to return to lobby to get that. The rooms were great very clean but on s [... read more]
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great beach
The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are big and clean. The food was always there nothing that was really awesome, but always something to eat. The resort is a nice size for walking, your are never more then 5 minutes from anything. The beach goes for miles and the water was so clear and warm.
Sanctuary White Sands: Amazing experience!
The first day I was a bit skeptical, but by day two everything completely changed — it was amazing! The staff, butlers, and everyone on the resort were so friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted guests to have a great time. The only downside, honestly, was the mosquitoes this season, so definitely bring bug spray. Other than that, I had an incredible experience — the beach was absolutely stunning!
Melia Costa Rey: Spotlessly clean
The hotel was kept spotless, the staff at the buffet restaurant are just amazing. The beach was cleaned from seaweed everyday in the morning before eight o’clock. To top it all off we had great weather
Melia Costa Rey: Just wonderful! A must do
We very much enjoyed all that they offered! We did level up and found it was worth every penny. We did enjoy the restaurants and the beach wow the beach! So clean no rocks! Wonderful staff! We are already planning our return!
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: A gem on the Atlantic
Fairly new resort, very clean and nit. Friendly staff, interesting buffet with large variety. A/C and water available 24/7 in rooms. High standard rooms, nice decoration. Professional room maids. Drinks on demand, nice and clean pool
Hotel Mojito: Fantastic place, wonderful people and service
The place in general is very good. It is an old resort but everything is functional and well maintained. What I liked the most was the kindness of its workers, everyone was helpful, friendly, and available to help you with anything you needed. I will go back not only once but as often as I can.
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Awful
Services was awful, food was the worse I had in Cuba. The maids were great room was cleaned daily. We had no water for a day and night worse place I’ve been to in Cuba , they promise things but nothing is done, been to Cuba over 10 years this resort was bad,
Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo: Great resort but beware of mosquitoes in September
This resort was great from the rooms, the grounds, the food, the service and last but not least the beach. Food was always good and readily available. The rooms were spacious and clean. The people working there were very pleasant and helpful. The beach is amazing, crystal clear water and white sand. The transportation is direct to the the resort from the airport. About a 40 min ride. The only downfall was the time of year as the mosquitoes were just terrible 24/7. Take some spray if you [... read more]
Sanctuary White Sands: Just got home from a great trip.
Grounds are very nice pool is great food was good in the premium section they would run out of things at the bar but move on too the next one and you would find it . The animation team is great as well as the bartenders gardners maids everyone makes sure you are having fun . It was my third time at sanctuary white sands and for the price you pay and what you get is amazing . If you want too eat and drink five star spend double and go somewhere else.
