We travelled as a group of 5 adults to celebrate a milestone birthday and had stayed at other Dreams locations previously so had an idea of what to expect. We also booked as Preferred Club. Pros: The beach and ocean were great, a little more waves than usual for La Romana but we had unsettled weather during the week so that's to be expected. Our room was a Master Swimout Suite in building 62. The room was lovely, spacious and I especially loved the alcove patio and sun beds. Very close to the beach and restaurants. Mini bar was restocked every day. Cons: The room location was very noisy. The pathway between our swimout pool and the building next to us (60 I believe) is constantly used by hotel staff as a general walkway to and from the main areas. There is constant foot traffic, housekeeping carts, service carts and golf carts rattling back and forth over the cobbles. Unfortunate because its the perfect spot for an afternoon siesta but you won't get the peace and quiet to actually have the siesta. The room was also beside the main entertainment square with the stage about 50 feet from our bedroom door. No hope for a quiet nightcap on the patio or an early night after a long day of travelling. The shows went to about 10:30 - 11:00 pm. The room also had cockroaches. They did spray the room a couple of times and I didn't see as many afterwards. The restaurants were hit and miss. We ate at all the restaurants including the buffet. Some dishes were quite good and others were close to inedible but mostly it was just okay. One thing I noticed across all restaurants is the heavy use of salt in their dishes. The food was plentiful and portions were generous. It was a challenge on a few occasions with the language barrier but that's not uncommon in the DR. The staff though tried really hard to please the guests and we had a great time with the majority. They went all out for my husbands birthday both at the buffet at breakfast and at the French restaurant for dinner. Our Butler Gustavo is a gem. Such a genuinely nice guy that takes pride in his work. I cannot say enough good things about him. He checked in with us every morning, made reservations, decorated our room and made my husbands birthday special. Would we return to Dreams Dominicus? No we wouldn't but we still had an enjoyable vacation.

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!!

We cannot say enough good things about this resort. Our room was clean. The food was amazing. The grounds were maintained. Staff was very pleasant. Definitely family friendly. My grandchildren were ages 8-17. There was activities for all ages. This resort is not a 5 star it's a 10 star!! Wonderful memories were mad here!

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: Perfect

This resort delivered on everything. Dining, service, amenities. Teen club was awesome. Waterslides and lazy river was fun. Beach was fun too. Tipping was appreciated but service was stellar regardless. Preferred had so many perks I wouldn’t go without it.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Great all around resort

The check in was quick private transfer to resort only negative was placement of room involved a fair bit of walking and on the 4th floor but the room itself was large and the shower could fit a family of 4 lol. Very clean and fridge stocked daily with turndown service each evening. Room service was free to even people like us who booked regular with no upgrade. Pools were clean and the lazy river was great. bars were situated all over the resort so no worries there. Buffet was good everything was fresh and choices plentiful for breakfast and dinner. Restaurants were good that we visited Steakhouse (Bluewater Grill) was a decent ribeye. Cin Cin (Mediterranean) was excellente and Spice (Teppanyaki) was good. The coffee shop was excellent any time of day for hot or cold beverage as well as sandwiches and baked goods. The Burger bar I must say had the best burgers in Punta Cana in our opinion given the 6-7 resorts we have visited. The ocean was wavy but nice. Kids club (Explorer) was a hit with our 8 yr. old grandaughter. The night shows for the kids good the adult ones were just ok they do work hard to put on the shows! Staff were all friendly 1st time we have never ran into not one unhappy employee. Overall this resort is the best in overall amenities and enjoyment.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

Everything about the Dreams Royal Beach was outstanding and exactly as advertised. The beach was stunning and very large with tons of loungers - no stress about having to get down to the beach super early! The property was beautiful and so so clean and well maintained. There were zero issues everywhere we went. I have never experienced that before in all the years we’ve gone to DR, Mexico and Cuba. Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Our whole family of 13 adults thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We loved not having to line up to reserve restaurants! The preferred lounge was wonderful. Restaurants were all good with favourites the French and Italian. Everything was spotless and of course our waiters were all phenomenal! We also had a very spacious living room with double wooden doors into our bedroom in our room. We would all return to this resort in the future.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Things you should know

This is a 5 star resort in most respects. The staff are the most caring and efficient that we have ever experienced at an all inclusive resort. The rooms are large and nicely furnished. The grounds are beautifully manicured. There are a variety of pools with lots of lounge chairs. The beach is soft sand with opportunities for long walks. You should know that this resort attracts many, many families with very young children. Entertainment and some pools are well designed with these families in  [... read more]mind. You may want to upgrade to the preferred adult section for a more relaxing experience. In general, the resort is very busy (too many people) with extremely loud music being played poolside and in the theatre. There is lots of fresh fruit and salad at the buffet but meats are often dry and overcooked. The a la Carte restaurants are very busy and the lack of a reservation system can lead to long waits for food that is just ok. The bars do serve top shelf liquor if you ask. Entertainment is almost nonexistent and generally low quality. So to summarize, it's a 5 star resort but not one that I will be returning to.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Exceptional Resort

The grounds and public areas were extremely well maintained. There were many restaurants to choose from with almost no wait time. The selection of foods at the buffet was endless for salads, main courses, vegetables and desserts. There was a tremendous amount of fresh fruit to choose from. Beach towels were plentiful. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

This resort has it all. Many pools to chose from, close walking distance to the beach. Great selection of restaurants, clean and spacious rooms and fun, professional entertainment at night. Shout out to Junior at the lobby bar, Eliphet and Jefry who always gave us awesome drinks with a smile. Their customer service was outstanding.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Royal Beaches

My girl friend I had a wonderful time at Royal Beaches in Punta Cana This was our second time at this resort and found that there was great improvement this time. Food was more tasty and staff from cleaning crew to maintenance was so great. Everyone was so polite and curtious and speaking to us when greeted. We had a hot water problem and that was quickly resolved. Very satisfied and planning to return.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Impressed!

This resort is well maintained, super clean, and the staff was incredible. The specialty restaurants were delicious, with many to choose from. The Italian restaurant was our favorite, followed by the French restaurant. The grounds are kept meticulous, along with the pools and public washrooms. Overall, it was an excellent experience!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Dreamy Spot

4.5/5 as we really enjoyed our vacation there. The grounds are beautiful. The employees cannot do enough for you. Multiple choices for eating and drinking. Beach is one of the best. Even though it was sold out, it never felt crowded. Rooms were a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Food while not quite 5 star, was good with lots of choices. We were in the preferred group so we didn't try the main buffet as it seemed to be a bit chaotic and we had other places to go to. The only downs we h [... read more]ad were a bit of a unorganized check in, the odd wrong order in the restaurants, and smokers seem to smoke where ever they want.

Dreams Karibana Cartagena Golf and Spa Resort: Nice Resort

We enjoyed our stay at Dreams, the rooms, grounds and service was what was expected. We had the preferred package, and I would say there really was not much of a distinction between the two levels. The preferred pool and area was enjoyed by all guest regardless of your level, as there was no way of determining the levels. If you ordered a drink or meal from the grill your room number was taken, that was how they would know. However if you did not order anything then you could enjoy the up graded [... read more] pool. We would not purchase the preferred level at this resort, we would go back. The entertainment was hit and miss, would be great if the Kids were entertained at night in a different area, instead of at the lobby bar. You will also be treated to a " United States of America" themed night, yes, that is correct. As we are Canadians we did not attend.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: One of the Best Resorts in Punta Cana

Service was very good. Very scenic and well kept resort. Unlimited access to Secrets next door was an excellent perk. Food was average, but certainly enjoyable. Beach was great. Lots of shady areas available. Pool areas were very good.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: NOT A 5 STAR!!

Staff was fantastic, grounds very well kept, FOOD WAS LACKING, BUFFET WAS HORRIBLE. Alcohol selection was good to very good, but not exceptional. Would hesitate to visit another Dreams property since The Hyatt has become involved. Just not deserving of a 5 star rating.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Great Dreams Resort

Dreams Resort, waiters very friendly, always attentive about filling juice/wine glass when empty. Great food! Cleaning crew efficient services. Beach waters had sharp rocks, small shells and coral. Water shoes required to enter. Pool has an extreme drop step about 3 feet deep in the middle which may cause a fall. Be cautious of the sudden drop! Dreams Huatulco: Fantastic Resort

The room we stayed in was a little dated but we had a fantastic view! The beds are very comfortable. The choice of restaurants is very good. We loved Oceana and Seaside Grill. The pools are amazing! The beach is amazing, and the ocean water is clean and warm. We did a spa treatment (hydrotherapy and then a massage). Very nice! As expressed by many reviewers, the staff at this resort are amazing.

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Not as advertised

We went to this resort as it is owned by a very well known international Hotel chain that operates over 60 + resorts in Mexico, Caribbean and Overseas. The stock picture from the Dreams website was impressive, the room that we started with was not even close to reality, we confronted the issue with the front desk and we were graciously upgraded to a new section called Indigo. The initial cost of the Preferred room was not worth the additional cost, and the resort itself is in very sad tired con [... read more]dition. At best I would think that this resort should get a 3 star rating at best, food was average and service was the same and we would never GO BACK.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Beautiful Resort!!!!!

This was the most beautiful resort I have ever been to. Service was excellent. Staff was very pleasant, friendly, professional. Would love to go back and would highly recommend my friends and family. Location of the resort was only 45 minutes from the Cancun airport. Beaches were very clean, white and water was blue and clean.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Quiet and peaceful resort

Resort is small and clean with amazing staff. Anything you need is available and you can also use adjacent facilities in other two hotels nearby. Beach is beautiful and clean however it’s rocky so water shoes are recommended. There is also a lot of sandy areas in the sea and it’s perfect for snorkeling. There are certain points where access to the water is better than in other parts so find your best option to comfortably enter the water. My only concern would be that smoking is totally forbidde [... read more]n in any of the areas of resort and only place to smoke is outside the front gate and area is not welcoming and clean. I have been previously in other resorts where smoking is also prohibited but there were some areas where smoking was allowed and was nicely provided with ashtray and seating area including some greenery. I am not smoker but found this quite disrespectful to people who are. Room was clean and included all that you need, including fridge with water and pop and beer which was replenished daily. Food was good, however the variety could be better. There were three restaurants where you can have dinner and reservations were not needed. You can also go to other restaurants in nearby two hotels. Buffet is open daily for all three meals with one day closed for dinner. The best part of this hotel is the staff. I found service extremely good. Bartenders at beach bar (Armando) and lobby bar (Jesul) are very friendly and knowledgeable and make delicious cocktails. Alcohol selection was great and included all premium brands. At the restaurants, servers are very good, Eloisa, Francisco, Julio, Alejandro, Amado were always there to serve and help with our needs. Beach concierge Irving always made sure to talk to guests and ensure that lounges are available and try to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. All in all I had great time and would definitely like to come back.
