Amazing resort...
We were there for one week and I have to say it was one of the best vacations I have ever had. The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. The first night we arrived they were putting us on the 15th floor. That was a smoking floor and we asked to be moved and they moved us to another floor and upgraded us to a better room. We had an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony, we loved it. The food was the best I have had to date. The buffet was so good, the variety of food was amazing. The a l [... read more]
Paradise
Stayed for a week at the Riu Palace in Paradise Island. Amazing Ocean view room. Food was great, lots of fresh vegetables, vegetarian options, lots of variety...something for everyone. The resort staff was welcoming and always quick to respond. I would definitely recommend this resort and return. Beach was amazing.
Honest Review
This hotel is very good for people travelling without children. The food is really good and the beach is as nice as varadero cuba. The rooms are very nice and a bit old, but overall very good. The hotel staff are always friendly and asking if they can assist. Atlantis is next door and there is lots to do. The bad - the beach vendors are a bit annoying and the taxi drivers never have change. This has nothing to do with the hotel - but be prepared for this in Nassau. I have stayed in many 5 stars [... read more]
A Bit Disappointed
The staff at the resort were very friendly. The food was by far the best I have had on most Islands. The grounds and hotel were kept very clean, albeit the rooms and interior could use updating. The biggest disappointment was that the pool was freezing cold for the four days that we stayed at the resort with conflicting responses provided by our tour provider and the front desk indicating that they didn't have a heated pool as compared to management and the pool staff stating that the heater had [... read more]
Pleasant resort
As a party of four adults and a 10 month old baby, we spent a pleasant week at the Riu Palace on St Maarten. The hotel is plantation style set in nicely kept gardens. The accommodation is spacious and very clean. The beach is not suitable for long beach walks, but the water is calm and warm and lovely for swimming. The food was rather mediocre. There was a wide variety to choose from at every meal, but the quality was disappointing. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The general ma [... read more]
Great hotel and vacation
Good food. Close beach access! Had a great time. R n r with my wife. No problems with the hotel staff. Pool was small but decent. Food was great. Ample selection. Lots to choose from for everyone
Amazing resort!
Loved the resort! Our room was very spacious, loved the view from our balcony! Mini fridge stocked with beer , pop, water along with the alcohol dispenser was a great feature. The food was excellent! Enjoyed the a la carte restaurants as well as the very plentiful buffet. The food was always fresh and tasty. Loved their coffee with hot milk! Great service from the time we checked in to the time we left. Staff were always very pleasant. Our room was always nicely cleaned. Great beach and [... read more]
Amazing people makes this resort a must try!
Although the hotel is a bit dated and the pool area is on the small side, the ocean front is spectacular! The food selection is more than adequate and quite tasty! Since our last visit, no reservations are needed for the specialty restaurants or so we were told. Apparently those who stood in line for dinner but didn't get in were promised reservations for the following evening, unfortunately we only found that out after waiting a half hour in line and then turned away. Not a great experience [... read more]
Amazing vacation
This is our 6th time back to the Riu Palace Bahamas. Although the resort itself can use some updates it is a great choice for the value. We travel there every September. The weather is great. The beach and the ocean are beautiful. Food is fantastic, especially the a la Carter at Krystal's. The Atlantas hotel and casino is right next door and you can walk through the aquarium after 6pm at no extra charge. We will continue to vacation here as long as possible
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
I am going to start off by saying our trip advisor Beth Mckinley did not do her job properly and we feel as if after we decided to pay for the trip and she was compensated she did not have any interest in making sure our trip went well or answering any questions, other than directing to links where I had to search for the information myself. I had asked her to apply the trip insurance multiple times and Beth kept saying she would contact me and never did and then said we can just go into the [... read more]

Good Value for the money
The location for this hotel is perfect right next to the Atlantis, you can view the property of the Atlantis during the day and take some nice pictures of the surrounding. You can also visit the aquarium at the Atlantis after 6p.m. for free, during the day you have to pay to see the aquarium. The food at the Riu was excellent although breakfast tend to be repetitive but good. The place could do with some renovation especially the rooms, carpet smells moldy and the furniture is a bit old, paint [... read more]
Just okay!
The beach is by far the selling feature of this hotel. The white sands and see through water is stunning. The hotel itself is in a great location merely because of its close proximity to Atlantis. We spend most of our time at Atlantus during our stay. The hotel is very dated and would benefit from major renovations. The buffet was just okay -along with the a la carte restaurants. However, I will say the lobster at the steakhouse restaurant was terrific. The staff and service were good. We found [... read more]
Bahamas Stay
We stayed at the Riu Palace Paradise Island for 4 nights. The first I'm press ion of the hotel was okay. There was a long check in line and a leak in the ceiling right on top of it. The staff was checking people in pretty fast but they were not as friendly as I would have imagined. Our room was clean and we had a great view of the ocean. The beach at the Riu is like nothing I have ever seen. Clear water, turquoise in colour and warm but refreshing. There were lots of chair to use but not enough [... read more]
Good value for the money
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. A la carte restaurant experiences were great - both food and service. The only one we didn't try was the Steak House. The process for booking the specialty restaurants is ridiculous. You have to line up between 8 and 9 in the morning at the restaurant reservations desk to book - and you can only book 2 evenings at a time.
Great Food
Food was amazing. Grounds well kept. Beach is great. Rooms and staff need work. Staff wasn't friendly. Bartenders wouldn't serve drinks until u tipped them first. The hotel lobby and bars need to be upgraded.
Perfect Vacation
This really was a perfect vacation. The hotel was very clean the rooms were a good size. I'm usually not a fan of buffets but I have no complaints...the food was always plentiful and never looked picked over. The restaurants were amazing a good amount of menu choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach was beautiful.
Great resort! Would definitely return
The staff were all so friendly, the food was great and the beach was beautiful. The only disappointing part was all the locals that approached you on the beach; however. if you went farther down the beach you could find some space.
Amazing food and beach
Overall, hotel is a little dated, pool a little small. However, the location right beside Atlantis, beautiful clean beach and amazing turquoise waters made up for it. We had an upgraded (renovated) room which I highly recommend for this specific hotel. The food was the best I have experienced at an All inclusive.
