Great Resort, would for sure be coming back

The hotel overall was great, room was clean, and staff was friendly and accommodating. The Buffet never had a complaint with any food, in fact it was really good. Pools were well cared after. Beach was great with a good number of lounge chairs, great number of bars with great bartenders. There was one super high energy staff member around the pool that was harlious, entertaining and a definite assiet to the hotel. Overall experience was great and will be returning again

Tropical Paradise

This is our THIRD visit to this resort. (2 weeks of sun ) Since the last time (it was the Be Live Grand Punta Cana) the resort has gotten larger. There are now 16 villas to accommodate tourists. The whole resort is VERY BUSY..........it is the most booked resort on the beach of Cabeza de Toro. Food is VERY GOOD with many a la carte spots as well as Windows buffet. There is a two tier system now with the all inclusive you buy and then the VIP upgrade ............PLEASE check this out carefully $$$$$ We go for some quality down time, THE BEACH for walking, good food.............not a go go go vacation. LOVE the Dominican Republic . Will go back. Weather is fantastic............28-32 day............22-23 night WoW !!!!

Great time!

The hotel grounds are beautifully laid out, the rooms are spacious and the staff are excellent. The food was good and the vip was well worth the extra cost. The beach and ocean was the most important of all and Punta Cana definitely delivered that !

Beautiful resort

Hotel was ok. Room was ok Pool was too crowded. Need more pools in resort. Food was great. Surrounding was great. Restaurants were in excellent condition. Entertainment was good. Over all the resort was decent.

Lovely resort

Hotel rooms need upgrading, roof was leaking and balcony door lock were broken. Resort surrounding was excellent. Facilities were excellent. Great service. Great food. Over all resort is beautiful, people were great.

Okay for the Price

Our room was clean but it smelled very musty - even running the bathroom fan 24/7 didn't help. Friends staying down the hall didn't have this problem. One of our closet doors was missing and the door in the bathroom was coming off the hinges. The minibar was included but 3 out of 7 days it was not restocked. Grounds and public areas were fairly well maintained, except for the pools, which had a scummy layer floating on top. The beach was the best part - only steps away from the resort a [... read more]nd powdery white sand. There was a lot of seaweed on some days but if you swim out far enough you don't really notice. Food was good but service at the buffet restaurant was not - it took 45 minutes to get a morning coffee. VIP areas and service seemed much better but the upgrade costs an extra $50 per person per day.

Great week in the sun!

Enjoyed my week in the resort. It was a bit larger than I would prefer, but there were lots of pools outside the main area (noisy and crowded) where we spent most of our time. Stayed in building 12 close to a pool and a bar. Christian was our server and was awesome. So friendly and cheerful all the time - so good at his job. Beautiful palm trees

Great resort, lots of palm trees and landscaping. The beach close to the water was full of sea weed and very murky. However, we walked down the beach, past all the resorts, and the water gets crystal clear and there is way less sea weed in the sand. It's about a 15-20 min walk down the beach. There was a lot of pools to choose from and bars in each area, so very convenient. The grounds around the resort are clean and very pretty, lots of lighting at night. If the guys in brown shirts tell you to come with them to the front desk for your free gift, don't go, they are trying to sell you a time share(unless you want one of course!) The nightly entertainment was good, and the staff was entertaining. The bar tenders don't like to make all the drinks on their menu and the most popular drink (coco loco) was often not available because they didn't want to mix it in the slushy machine thing. The food was great, a lot of choices for a la carte and the buffet was awesome, if you can't find something to eat there, you're not hungry. All in all it was a great resort, pretty grounds, safe and secure, beautiful to walk thru to get from the different pools, main bar/pool/theatre/beach. Our room was exactly as shown on the Sunwing website, but the couple travelling with us had to move rooms as theirs was so bad and nothing like what they booked thru Sunwing as well.

Loved the place

Beautiful place. Very impressed with the entire management. All the amenities you could ask for, from well equipped rooms, pool, beach, games, activities, tours, entertainment, restaurants, and shops. Watching the students from the sidelines made for great entertainment.

Great Vacation!

Staff are great (Front Desk, Bartenders, Waiters, Entertainers (Spagetti & Mini Me), to cleaning staff. I loved all food served at the buffet. My boyfriend did not like the buffet but he is a picky eater. Food at the restaurants were great, especially Rodizio (even my boyfriend liked them all). Hotel room was great with a garden view and in a good building (building #3 which is central to everything) - we reserved a standard room and received a King Size bed. We had a fan and air condit [... read more]ioning to keep us cool. Only draw back was you only get 2 mini cans of beer a day. Had to go off the resort to purchase beer in bottles (was cheaper off the resort). Beach was clean and always busy. Entertainment daily from 4pm to 10:30pm. Some older couples found the resort was really loud because it was the tail end of March break but we were ok with that. We had to deal with some peddlers of gifts but they were good when you said no. Also had to deal with 1.5 hour sales pitch with Be Live Consultants about purchasing their vacation plan for all their resorts. Word of advise just don't go upstairs, tell the staff you've been there a few days then they will leave you alone. Resort quieted down by the time we left. Will definitely be looking at booking this resort again next year.

Very Nice Resort !

Overall very nice resort and I would go back BUT not on Spring Break ! I happened to be there the same week as about 1000 drunk 20 year old's who took over the resort ! It's unfortunate the timing was poor and this made a difference on the enjoyment of the trip. I have to commend however Catherine at the front desk who went above and beyond to help me and she truly changed my vacation for the better ! Beautiful resort, great food and service, lovely rooms in block 16/17 ONLY :)

Nice week away!

The hotel room we had was nice, and the VIP staff was more than accommodating! We checked in very quickly, and all airport transfers went quite smoothly. The food at the resort could be improved, but overall a good time was had by all!

Disappointing for a 5 Star VIP

Our biggest complaint was the food in the buffet. What they served at lunch was the same at super and always cold. There was only one cooking station . Most of the Menu at the Steak house and Mediterranean Restaurant Was not included, you had to pay.What you could order was not good and the service was terrible.We walked out both of restaurants.Our room was acceptable, clean and a beautiful ocean view, but there were several things that were promised not in our room and we had to waist a lot o [... read more]f our time chasing people down to get them.There I are other things that happened.Just to many to mention.We have been going to D.R. for 16 years. We will not return to this resort.

Very nice resort

We had a wonderful time at the Be Live hotel in punta Cana. The size and layout of the hotel was perfect & our room was clean and well situated very close to both the beach and pool. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We only ate at the buffet restaurant and always found great choices to eat. Our only complaints were firstly, that the pool was green and murky so we did not go in at all. That was disappointing. The beach was great though and was really what we went down south for. Second c [... read more]omplaint was the fact that the hotel allowed 200 very rowdy university students to stay for the week and basically took over part of the beach and were awake all night partying and very noisy. I felt bad for families with small children who travelled great distances from Europe and were hoping for a quiet vacation.

Be Live Collection Punta Cana

Upon our arrival our room had been given away. We were put in a building that is not even listed on the hotel map; building 18. We had to have a security guard let us into the room, we were given no keys for the room, there was no phone, the room was freezing and no control for this, there was only a blanket for the bed that was dirty. Managed to get into a proper room the following day.

Be Live Collection, Punta Cana

This resort was amazing for 99% of the time. We were there for a Wedding and America and Anyia were terrific in making everything happen. The food was good, the weather was good and the place was very clean. The Staff were excellent. The one thing that we found disappointing was when we were booked into The Steakhouse Restaurant on our last night, was that while all the other restaurants were never short of food, this restaurant was short of a lot of food. May have been a one off issue but [... read more] surely in a resort that large they could have contacted one of the many other restaurants for help. The restaurant only opened at 6.30 pm. by 8 pm they were out of certain foods, Beginning with the starter course, they had no sausage and cheese empenadas, there was no Garlic Bread, They had no Red or White wine, and they had no rack of lamb, all items noted on their menu. The chicken was cold and only partially cooked, and one person got a complete incorrect order. This was not a large restaurant and the service left a lot to be desired. This may have been a one only time, but their lack of concern and no attempt to get Bread or wine form the other restaurants left our table of nine disappointed. However I must say the Brazilian Restaurant was wonderful, as was the Mediterranean, we did not use the Japanese restaurant so we cannot comment on that, overall, I would say the staff in general made the [place a very friendly place to be.

Disappointing Resort

As a first timer to an all-inclusive resort I was not sure what to expect. I was happy with the location, the accomodations, the food, the beach and pool facilities. However, there were small issues that tainted the experience for me. Check in at the resort was a nightmare. Waiting in line to get to the desk for almost an hour is totally unacceptable, especially as I was travelling with my son and daughter-in-law and my 6 month old grandson. It seemed if we wanted anything like change for our money or a change of room due to excessive noise, we had to really argue with staff to get anywhere. Service in some of the restaurants was not very good and in one of the restaurants the evening meal was a disaster. On the beach, which we were told was a public area, we had hotel staff tell us we could not put our chairs in certain areas. They put comfortable beds under certain umbrellas but there was no note indicating that if you wished to use these there was a $10.00 US charge per day. If you did not pay for the bed you were told you could not even put your beach chair in the same location as the bed. Not acceptable!!! Our party had a few other complaints so needless to say we will not be returning to this location.

Be Live.....would not return......

Would not return....We just got back from Punta Cana.We were there 2 weeks and went shopping in San Juan. There were 6 thefts of cell phones at the hotel were were at..... apparently the person or persons managed to get into the room while the guests were sleeping. Another couple just got into their room, left there luggage and the phone upon arriving while they went to eat. Came back and phone was missing...... We don't plan to go back there for several reasons. And we upgraded to Master suite  [... read more]VIP. NICE ROOM IN FRONT OF A PRIVATE POOL. THAT WAS GREAT. However, there were lots of mosquitoes, poor service in dining room, food was just okay. Tough meat and cold hot dishes. Did not really like the specialty restaurants. This was a 4.5 star hotel. Staff was lovely, and people we met was one of the highlights. Jack and I enjoyed our time away from the snow, appts ect.... we are now enjoying good Canadian food. 💖💖💖💖

Will never go back

Nice beach and friendly people. Good entertainment. Bad management. Bars were running out of drinks. Only two drinks served in an all inclusive resort. Very poor quality of the drinks. There was a day with no beer in the whole resort. Main restaurant was always running out of plates. Different treatment of regular and VIP tourist. Constantly pushed to upgrade. I would not return to this resort and will not recommend it to any of my friends.

Paradise for sure!

Be Live Punta Cana is a true paradise if you go with Adult Club and VIP inclusions. Lots of space at the beach....Balinese beds are amazing. Service at the bars is excellent. Very friendly staff. Good variety of food, snacks, drinks. Great entertainment. Special thanks to Perla at VIP lounge and Juan Carlos at Lobby Bar. Excellent service!
