Amazing time at Grand Bahia Principe Tulum

My friend and I had a wonderful time during our 10-day vacation. The staff was fantastic, smiling and helpful. The entertainment staff was super friendly and energetic. Tons of activities going on all day long. There is no way someone can be bored during their stay. The room was clean met our needs. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I loved the beach. I loved it all. I would go back, this time with my husband who I know would appreciate such a place even though he is not an all-incl [... read more]usive vacation type of guy.

Very good resort

The hotel is undergoing renovations in the lobby area (the roof) when I was there but don't let that deter from choosing this place. It's a good resort that offers a lot and across the way is their sister property (Coba) which is very nice. Staff are courteous and overall, the hotel is clean. A very pleasant stay.

The BEST of the BEST !!!

ALL WAS GREAT ! Staff so helpful and always smiling, the whole place so clean....every day they were cleaning every corners inside and outside of all the buildings, awesome food and so much choices daily, beautiful turquoise ocean, beach so nice and many different places to go for a swim when experiencing different area of the hotel, easy access to food and snack and bars everywhere from the beach or anywhere on the property, beautiful shopping, even if no control on the weather it was all perf [... read more]ect, watched the people playing with the dolphins, easy to book excursions, the animation on days and nights were fun and full of energy ! I will recommend your hotel without any hesitation ! Bravo for the good work to keep all your customers Happy !!! Was there with my Best friend celebrating our 55 th Birthday and it was lots of fun for us, even without our husbands. They have anything & everything for couples, singles, and families ! Easy access to the main street to go outside the property, but remained so quiet from the traffic. Extremely secure site.

Grand Bahia Principe - Wonderful resort!

The Grand Bahia Principe resort was beautiful! The resort has white sand beaches with plenty of lounges for everyone, warm clean pools, fantastic food and beverages. The staff were amazing, the rooms spotless and the entertainment was excellent. Our favourite A la Carte was Seafood.

Amazing Resort!

We just got back from this resort the end of October 2016. We stayed for 1 week and it was the best vacation. We stayed at Grand Bahia Principe Tulum which is right on the beach which is beautiful. The sand is powdery white and the water a beautiful turquoise. The pools were very nice as well. We loved the swim up bar and if it got a little noisy, we just moved to another pool to relax. Lots to choose from the very flavorful. We have been to many resorts and I have to say that this is one of our favorites.

Great resort / rocky beach

Great resort. Everyone is friendly. Expensive WiFi access and lobby WiFi is kinda weak. Sand was good but rocky once u r in the water; suggest to bring proper footwear if you want to spend time. Far ride from the airport. Don Pablo and le gourmet was great. Tequila the restaurant is something you want to avoid.

Beautiful resort!

Just got back. We are an active couple with an 11 year old son. The resort is breathtaking. grounds are very well taken care of. We like to play tennis and the sports complex is fabulous. No shortage of day trips to choose from. they do seem rather expensive though. Lounging around the pool is never a problem, always lots of chairs. Mexico is one of my favourite places to visit. This hotel is awesome

This hotel has a great beach. There are a lot of pools. It also has a great service and a big choice of food at the buffet. There are good restaurant whit fast service. Since the hotel is very big they offert transportation that brings you in a different part of the hotel . The transportation comes very often.

Excellent

Second time at the grand Bahia Principe tulum hotel. It was excelllent. Lots of renovations happening in the lobby.Perfect and safe location. Great food. Took a collectevo into playa del Carmen for the day 40 pesos per person.

Beautiful Resort

Grounds were beautiful Service was great Food not good at all Ala carte was HORRIBLE except for Don Paulo Beach was very rough and rocky Front staff was very unhelpful and rude at times Room was beautiful but very damp and slippery Maid was amazing Bar service was great

Amazing vacation spit

The amenities and services were outstanding. Excellent food, great service, friendly staff. The sea is coral in spots, so water shoes are helpful. Bring snorkel gear, children will be amazed at the fish in the water. The sea is calmed for erosion purposes, which does not give a clear, unobstructed view, but otherwise, it was lively. We have chosen this resort in Mexico, close to major attractions, so once you arrive, it's not far to see other major sites. A trip to a Jewellery factory was  [... read more]included for a donation to local folks in need, so nice to see resort employees investing in there community. Grand Bahia is a name you can trust. Our Dominican experience was equally satisfying. We'll come again.

Owesome vacation

Hotel room is good, foods not bad, servicing staff very friendly, like restaurent...bar...front desk.....shuttle bus driver..... Greenly in the garden, beautiful grass, wonderful beach......actually very comforable trip.

Grand Bahia Principe Tulum

1. There are couple of places in the hotel is under renovation including lobby and the area where people meet for tea, coffee and chit-chat 2. We arrived at the hotel past 1 pm. Check-In was slow and out of the 6 rooms, only 1 room is available, the rest waited till 3 pm. 3. The room in general is fine except in my room, the toilet bowl seat is shifting, the bath tub not draining effectively. Water accumulate to above ankle when finished shower but subside gradually afterward. Told housekeepin [... read more]g but not fix. 4. Mattress is kind of old resulted middle of the bed sink 5. It's ridiculous for requiring to pay US$5 per day for using safe deposit box in the room. 6. Housekeeping service not stable. I get to know 2 or 3 of our 6 rooms were not clean till found at past 2 pm and called. And worst is that repeated twice or thrice during our one week stay. 7. The beach is not as beautiful as in the picture shown above. In reality, there are lots of HUGE rock along the beach. You can only go till the depth upto your waist or abdomen. 8. Services from staff are good in general. 9. Foods and drinks in general are also fine except too salty, especially the soup, and too sweet in drinks and desserts. And from restaurant Pescador, both foods and drinks is below expectation. Soup is only warm and foods are overcooked. At Le Gourmet, my medium rare fillet mignon arrived with 90% cooked. I told the waiter who told me will tell the chef but didn't offer to replace it or change to other dish. I didn't request either. All these matters restrict me to give "fair" in average though there are areas that are good. Example, services at buffet, services at customer relations, some at front desk, shuttle and porter inside resort.

Fantastic resort... if you'er not a beach fan

It was a pleasant stay at GBP Tulum. We are a group of 12 people in 6 rooms. We all enjoyed the resort and the people that work there, from front desk to housekeeping maids. Rooms are recently renovated and look great. Although the on-going renovation of the lobby gave us some inconvenience, we were all impressed with the hotel management with the temporary arrangements. My only negative comment is the a-la-cart restaurants. 3 out of 3 that we tried were not providing quality food as we expecte [... read more]d. I prefer the buffet restaurant more.

Beautiful resort, Great Service!

This was our first time to Mexico and we were not disappointed. The resort was amazing, and had all the amenities you could need. The food was fantastic and offered a large variety. The a la cartes were fantastic as well.

First Trip to Mexico

We stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Tulum. This was our first time in Mexico and our 2nd all inclusive trip ever. We enjoyed the resort. The property is very well maintained and the food is plentiful. Our room was always cleaned and the employees were very courteous and helpful. We would definitely not hesitate to stay at this resort again.

Really beautiful Resort

The hotel is mostly new and the ground maintenance is awesome. Staff is friendly, food is good to great and entertainment is nightly at this resort and at the neighboring resorts. Shuttles all the time to move you from here to there and everywhere. We've been twice, and the things I love the most are the resorts peacefulness and beauty. The rooms can be a little musty, but staff will accommodating room changes.

The resort was excellent

The resort paid attention to detail. The staff were friendly and courteous. Rooms cleaned and restocked everyday. Beautiful beach pool was kept up. Enough beach chairs for everyone. Excellent overall !!!!

Very good resort...lots of fun and relaxing!!!

We stayed 5 nights at Tulum. We stayed at the Coba before but wanted to stay closer to the beach. We arrived at the airport at 12 and didn't arrive at the hotel until 3:00 and check in and trying to make dinner reservations took an hour, which we couldn't get any at all. Had to eat at the buffet every night..it was good, but disappointed being our second time here as well, we couldn't eat at an a la carte. By the time we found a snack bar, it was 4:30, hinry after not eating since 8am!

Great resort

Very clean, well groomed resort. All staff were very friendly. Room was very nice. Only bad thing, when the air conditioning was on the room did smell mouldy. Trolley cars came often, very little waiting, easy to get to other hotels.
