Best resort in the cayos

The hotel staff are excellent! The beach is very nice with crystal clear and still water. Great place to relax and enjoy sunny destination! Our second time there and its a good place for famiies and friends to relax on the beach!

Wonderful vacation!!!

This hotel is very nice!!! It’s clean, the ground, the room, the pool area, the beach, and the restaurant. But the problem is the mosquitos and flies which is common problem in most resorts in Cuba. The food is terrific, variety and delicious!!! And most of all we love the people working there, the staff, they are all approachable, very nice people!!! I will recommend this hotel to a friend.

Good vacation!

First time to this resort. We booked a superior ocean view room. The room was nice and clean with a king size bed. The mattress is pretty used up( after a couple of days, my back was sore). The view from the balcony was amazing! The beach is very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. Unfortunatly, my husband and i got very sick for about 24 hours while we were there. A few hours before, we shared a plate of bbq chicken and fries. So, we’re thinking, probably the chicken. Something that the [... read more] resort could ameliorate is at the buffet restaurant, there is shellfish cooked at almost every station. My husband is allergic to shellfish. They cooked shellfish on the same grill as the other meats and pasta, using the same ustensils. So, he was very limited to what to eat. Other resorts, have a station just for shellfish. But, overall, we had a great time with family.

Wonderful resort/ amazing people

The Iberostar Dacquari is a wonderful resort. This is the 2nd time coming to this resort and remembered a few staff from our last visit. Overall, we love the staff at this resort but in saying this, I believe some Staff at the lobby desk should always remember: first impressions are important. Totally Awesome!!!!!!!

Pros: What can I say? Every thing from the fantastic people that work very hard at this resort to the very delicious food We have already booked for our return trip to this resort Con: The only con I can say is the size of the pool (small) and the limit amount of loungers available as all the chairs have towels on them by the time the sun comes up. Great resort

This was by far the busiest resort in the immediate area (you can walk to 3 others on the beach) for a good reason, It is well maintained, great friendly staff, very good food , nightly entertainment, and people just like it so much that they get a lot of repeat customers. We talked to people that have been coming here for 9 years!! The premium room views are wonderful, close to the beach, white sand and blue ocean, the rooms in this 4 star resort are quite a bit smaller than the last 5 star resort we stayed at, although with the great weather we were hardly in them, They had 2 Cuban barbecues during our 10 day stay , with open fire roasted Pig, turkey, chicken,ribs, corn and more , all tasted great, The buffet was very good with cooking stations for Pasta,Pizza, Meat, and fish, along with good fruit and salad areas. Overall I would recommend this resort to family and friends, with one caution, it is quite windy on the beach , this area is a kite surfing destination as the winds are consistent, we only had 2 really calm days, and 1 day that the sand was blowing quite a bit, pool is also small for a 300 plus person resort. Non of that would keep us from going there again .

The staff was amazing, food was good, best i found for cuba,rooms and bathroom were very clean,pool looked good but didn't use the pool went to the beach,weather was amazing made some new friend from the visitors and staff

Wonderful resort

I have never been to a resort that the lobby is the happening place. The staff, the entertainment and the hotel guest made that all possible. The pool is great, but lacks lounge chairs and shade, needs more umbrellas for people as the Cuban sun is hot hot hot, and of course unless you are up at 4AM to get a lounger your out of luck cause they all get towels put on them, typical wherever you go though. We found the cookingstations to be long waits, so 6:30 on the dot is when we found the best time to go. Now to the best part, the beach and ocean. Loved loved loved the beach, the ocean is breathtaking and the different colours of blue were amazing. Only complaint here is that the bar at the beach closes at 3, why? Dont understand that one. The rooms, well my bed was the worst bed I have ever slept in. Both beds, as I that twin beds in my room were awful so therefore did not get great sleeps. Met alot of people who were repeat guests, one couple had been to this resort 30 times others 10, 15, 5, so many repeat guest, that says alot about the restort right there, and I can see why, the staff at this resort is like no other I have been to, they were happy to be there, they remember your name, the kisses of the cheeks was so nice to see and made me feel like it was a pleasure to bring me that drink, or a coffee or clean my room, you need to be commended for your excellant staff, from the grounds keepers right on up the line, cheers to you all, you made my trip amazing.

Very good resort

I am happy we choosed this resort. Came back a day ago, stayed there for 7 days. I loved the lobby area, lots of cozy places to enjoy the drinks from the bar. Clean room, thanks to Isabella! Great beach, a bit windy, lots of kite surfing there. The food was ok, we could always have tge steak, fries and some vegetables. Pancakes and omlette in the mornjng were good. Very good coffee. Friendly staff. If you want to tip, do it in pesos, the canadian coins are not accepted at the bank, they have not [... read more]hing to do with them. I would go back, maybe I will try the Iberostar from Cayo Coco.

Great small hotel amazing beach

The advantage of this hotel is that it is smaller, which allows for more personal, friendly, timely service. The rooms are spotless and mold free, the main dining buffet is good, fresh, and no wait times to all food stations. The pool is small but lively, the entertainment is basic but showcases Cuba, boutiques and crafts were nice. The beach is spectacular and can be walked on for miles; the beach pier and beach club are nice features; somewhat windy in the afternoon and good for windsurfing. [... read more] The restaurants (a la carte) are modest but the service is good. Overall, a very relaxing and friendly place.

Amazing Resort

My friend,her 11 yr old daughter and i just returned from this lovely resort...I talked to a lot of people before booking this resort and i can see why they keep returning every yr and sometimes twice a yr..I loved the lay out of the resort..2 mins walk from the beach to the pool and to your room..Beach was amazing and the sun was so beautiful..Pool was so nice and clean,great swim up bar..and the games people were the best ever...Big shout out to Esther,she kept us moving...The food was delici [... read more]ous as were my drinks and we will be back to this resort next yr...I have to Cuba 9 times and this will be the first time going back to the same resort...we loved it...

Resort need s work

This is my forth time at the Daiquiri ( Iberostar ) but it is not a five star ,even by Cuban standard s .I do understand that the storm s have done a lot of damage to the island ,but feel that the price of the should reflect the state of the resort..The staff as always make s the resort the five star ..I have very little to complain about my room was good ,but I wish I would have known the state of the damage done to the resort Thank you Darcy Horechka

Nice resort on the decline

It was probably nice at one time but it is not being maintained due to lack of parts and resources. For example, no handle on patio door , safe and fridge don't work. The food was very bland and always the same every day. Havanatur were always late. One excursion was cancelled and we were never notified.

Not good for what you pay

This was our 4th time at this hotel this was the worst. 2 days to get our fridge fixed. Toilet did not flush broken. 3 days no maid service. Staff would only serve you if u tipped. Food was always the same thing hot food was cold. We will not return

A Wonderful Experience

I went to Iberostar Daiquiri in March, the 7th - 14th, 2018 with my daughter and my granddaughter. We had a wonderful time. Our room was a little tight, with three women, but considering how much time we spent in our room, it was fine. The maid was amazing and the room was kept clean and the towel art was bar none. The food was great, not your usual all inclusive buffet. There were several stations and the food was cooked while you waited. The entertainment staff were fantastic, they never stopped and the shows they put on were superb.. Everyone was so friendly and helpful except for the bar staff, which was disappointing. Even when you tipped them, you were lucky to get a smile. But I would definitely recommend this resort, we will have great memories of this vacation.

Positivity goes a long way

We had a good holiday while at cayo coco. The staff were amazing people. They were very positive and upbeat. They encouraged guests to participate in a variety of games that suited all abilities and energies.

Never disappointed at the Iberostar Daiquiri

We again visited the Iberostar Daquiri the last week of February/first week of March. This is our 9th visit to this resort. This is a good 4 star (Cuban 4 star) resort. If you are looking for 5 star luxury this is not the resort for you. If you are looking for the best beach you will likely ever find, clean, comfortable accommodation then you will love the Daiquiri. Great hotel

First , let me comment on the staff and management at the Daiquiri. They are just like my own family and so we keep returning to your hotel. I was very surprised that after the hurricane, you recovered so fast and did the recovery so well. Almost as if there was no storm. All of the staff were very accommodating and it was as if we were visiting our own family and the grounds were well kept.

Had a great time, again

We travelled to the Iberostar Daiquiri 27 Feb - 06 Mar with our family, 8 adults and 3 children. This was not our first trip to the hotel, we had been there in 2016 with our friends and really enjoyed the facilities and staff. We booked prior to the hurricane hitting the area and were concerned about the conditions we might find. I contacted the hotel and they assured us things would be up and running when we arrived. The staff at this hotel are the best, we had outstanding service. Food is a step above other Cuban hotels we have stayed at, you will not go hungry. The beach is huge with lots of papalas for shade, the pools are clean with a swim up bar Would we go back ? Absolutely

Wonderful and Friendly

Very well kept. Aside from the plastic cups and straws sometimes found in the sand by other guests. Could have the ladies and gentleman who work on the beach keep an eye out while they are down there. They as well are wonderful tho. Very kind and fun and not pushy to do excursions and games.
