Club amigo Holguin Cuba. Love this resort. Which is actually four separate area resorts built into one. They have a main hotel standard room bungalows and villas. Along with three buffet restaurants and about Five al a carte restaurants along with 24 hour bar and two snack bars four pools throughout the resort. To use depending on whether you want a quiet morning or more lively swim up bar entertainment. The hotels beaches are beautiful. Rooms vary from section to section and will p,ease everyon [... read more]e. This is an economical resort. Where the staff treat you exceptionally well and remember guests from visit to visit. Grounds are spread out and lovely for afternoon walks. Food is getting better but really depends on what resort can obtain. Food presentation has improved quite a bit in last few years. Entertainment is everywhere. You will love this resort whether you are a couple or family or group of girls and guys. I return to this resort often and love it

Beautiful resort

Wonderful place to go and relax. Such a friendly and safe place to go to. Have been many times and can’t wait to return to the most friendly staff that are like family. Clean rooms, grounds are always perfect. If you need anything just ask and they will do their best to provide. Best value for the money

Ultimate Resort

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca is a fabulous resort with many amenities and recreational options. 5 swimming pools, 8 restaurants, 10 bars including 24 hour. Game rooms. Tennis courts. Water sports, Bicycles, Flee market just outside resort with Cuban town within walking distance. Highly recommend this resort for a fantastic stay.

Worn out

Think this is my last time for this place. It is getting pretty worn out. Too little repairs too late. There is a huge 5 star going up next door that will consume the beach which is its only saving grace.

It is good resort, no matter what

Many things are out of the list, and many things are old and weary... but, it is still worth it to go! People do what they can... Some features on the list are out of the service... but location - is really the best! Ocean and the beach - will always be for you there!!!

Fun place to go

It’s not fair to hold them to our standards. They give all they’ve got. Shortages that they can’t control like not having butter. We can live without it anyway. Friendly, kind and caring staff. I’m sure I’ll see them again

Friendly staff ok food but great sceneray and the price just should have been better I like the rooms and the service but the price to stay in this resort was too much I will be visiting the same location as holguin is a great place to be.

Party life & beach

Hotel was pleasant. Tip if you want good service. The pool was nice and the beach was clean. Good fun for a good price. However dont expect to eat like a king or queen. Over all good experience. Thanks air transat.

Great vacation

Nice resort, clean rooms. Food lakes variety, but considering that this is a 3* resort in Cuba..... you will however always find something to fill up your plate with. The operating hours of the bars are a bit confusing, but once you get used to the schedule you know were to go for coffee or drinks. Great beach and good night shows. Cubans guests are cutting the lines at the bars but you are on vacation so relax and send them back in the line.

Ok resort for the price

Went there as a last ,minute, the resort has a nice beach and is right next ti a bunch of bars and restaurants Stayed at the Bungalow section which I really liked better than the main building If you've been to Cuba before it's pretty much what you expect, I did like the pork roast on the Saturday If you have little kids there is a shallow beach next to the main one that's perfect for babies/toddlers/non swimmers My only complaints are the public washrooms that are just horrendous i [... read more]n terms of cleanliness, the various bars close at random hours or stop serving certain drinks (once you figure out the system you are fine) and the lineup at reception is always HUGE(why a shift change when loads of people check in / out?) Overall a good basic Cuba resort, perfect for sun and fun

Really nice 3 stars resort!

The beaches are kept really nice, clean and there are 2 privates beaches.. Big hotel with 4 swimming pools. The Villas are the best rooms and very close to the beach, snack bar and pool. The bungalows are a little far. The service was good and better when you tip. For the price and the stars i found the hotel amazing. Overall good!!

Home away from Home

We have been going to this resort for 4 years (twice a year). We love being here. The staff is great. Love the food. Hotel is in a great spot. The local Cubans are great to hang with. So safe. We are not picky people. This resort is only a 3 1/2 star. When you go to Cuba everyone all ways says the food is not the greatest. Well it has come along way, food is getting better. Lots of places to eat on the resort and off. Two restaurants have a sit down breakfast and a sit down lunch.  [... read more] So you don't always have to eat at the buffet. The beaches are beautiful. Main beach the local Cubans are there. There are two private beaches and 4 pools. We stay in the tropical section. Which is the main building. They are doing lots of new up grades on the rooms. This resort has the most return guest in Holguin. This is only my prospective. Would I suggest this resort yes. If you are looking for a resort that is the Hilton.....don't come to Cuba at all.

Amazing beaches and very standard resort

1. Beaches- 5/5-absolutely beautiful. There is one general beach and 2 smaller kind of secluded beaches. 2. Resort- very average, outdated but clean. 3/5 3. Customer Service- 4/5 depending where you went

Bonne place

nous y avons passe 2 semaines, la mer est belle ,les installations sont propres et le personnel acceuillant (beaucoup d enrte eux parlent francais) nous avons eux de belles temperatures ( l hiver c est plus chaud la-bas qu a Varadero)..

Outstanding staff!

I have stayed here on several occasions and found the ongoing improvements being made to the resort this trip a memorable vacation. From the ease of booking with my travel agent to a seamless and upgraded welcome from the staff..it was great!

Last experience

we all had a great time, although the food needs improvement. the buffet is really bad. if we had a la carte more often we may go back. service was poor this year both at the bar & the buffet. too many rude people at the resort ( locals) Sunwing needs more space for their taller passengers, i came out of the 4 hour flight with a leg & knee injury that is still bothering me. there should be a height restriction for safety reasons on a plane

Plenty of R&R

Facility was very clean. Food was plentiful and very good with four options of venues to choose from. Beach was lovely. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pools were Entertainment was fun. There was quiet.

Amazing resort

The scenery was beautiful.. the ppl were friendly.. I had an amazing time at an incredible price.. it was quiet.. the food was great.. the beach was clean..the maid cleaned my room everyday and made the most beautiful things out of the towels.
