The Resort was Good

Overall the resort was good. Only negative thing I could say is the service lacked. Didn’t seem like customer service was a priority in the main buffet. Most walked around looking like they hated there jobs. Otherwise the food was great. The pool was great! The beach was maintained. Just the overall service lacked. I would go back. I just know I won’t need much tip money. And that I probably will have to get my own coffee in the morning!

First time in the Dominican Republic

The staff were always friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Everything was well organized. Poolside activities were engaging. The grounds were immaculate. There was a large selection of food at every meal. We didn't get everything we asked for in a room - got one king bed instead of two beds - but the room exceeded our expectations in every other way: ocean view, two bathrooms, two TVs, two balconies with Muskoka chairs......

Amazing trip.

Went with my financée. Hotel was very nice and the food was great. Wasn't huge on the Mediterranean restaurant but Brazilian and Mexican ones were great. Beach Was beautiful! Excellent entertainment at the pool and shows. Great people running the events at the pool. will definitely be back.

Great Resort!

My Family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Be Live Marien Resort. The beach was very beautiful and clean, with lots of lounges to lay on to soak up some rays! The water was a nice temperature and if you like a few waves at times like us, you’ll love this beach too! The pool is huge and the entertainment crew made it very enjoyable also! There is a multitude of food and drinks of many kinds, so you’ll never go hungry or thirsty and the staff all around look after people very well! We enjoyed our trip and highly recommend this resort to anyone

Amazing staff!!

Overall resort was very good. Food was very good and grounds/ pool were kept very clean. Entertainment staff were absolutely amazing. they always kept us entertained and laughing! We would highly recommend this resort.

Amazing grounds

Grounds where very good. Beach very nice. Beach chairs not well maintained Ubgrated room, but wouldn't have save key included. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms overall clean, but needed renovations.

Good times had by all ...

We really did enjoy our stay at Be Live! We got good advice from hotel staff and great suggestions for excursions. Activities onsite were frequent and a fun staff organizing competitions, aerobics, dance lessons etc. The grounds staff were always busy ensuring that the whole site was clean, even the public beach (I guess all beaches in the DR are public) was kept very clean! ... oh, and they had a Pasta bar that was Amazing!

Nice hotel but missing a few essentials.

We had a great time, however there is no swim up bar or lobby bar. It’s was missing a good place to socialize. It was hard to meet new people or chat with them. Happy I wasn’t travelling alone. My bf also got pretty sick on the last day. Something he ate, our guess is chicken. Other than that, the rooms were clean, the food was good, the people are nice for the most part. They took over a lot of pool space and it was a lot more rowdy. I had asked this question before booking and was told it only happened on off season so was disappointed to learn the opposite once we were there.

Awesome resort!

Everything was fantastic! The workers are amazing and friendly. Can’t say anything bad about this place hope to go back soon!! The pool is big. They have a great duty free, and a gym. The beach was gorgeous. Weather was also incredible!

Good resortg

Good resort, Normal food, Good beach and good entertainment. Only one hour of free WIFI and it too is not up to standard. It was off for more than 24 hours. Snack bar is only open till 2 AM not 24 hours.

Good value

The resort was a great size and excellent for a family vacation. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and adequate. The buffet lacked variety, but the a la carte restaurants were great; particularly the Brazilian restaurant. I got a massage during my stay and they ended up charging me more than what I had originally requested because I asked for more pressure - this is my only negative comment about the resort. Great time!

Rooms/bathrooms were quite large, rooms were not cleaned verybwell though. Theywould come early for ypur towels and then ypu wouldnt get any back for around 6 hrs. Food at the a la cartes was incredible Buffet, not bad at all, lots of options Loved the grounds! Review from a family travelling with toddler.

MOSTLY POSITIVES: Travelling as a young family of 4 with two toddlers, we found the location was great. A short trip from the airport and a short cab ride from town. The rooms were fair, tidy and bright. Though we ran into the regular issues we've come to expect in the Carribean with showers not being getting very hot and not a lot of sound proofing so people coming and going at all hours was noticed. The kids center was nice and clean; we enjoyed the staff there. The buffet was good with some variation in the dinner menu. After two weeks, we had had enough but for a week, it'd be great. All the regular restaurants don't open til 6:30 which we found a bit late. The a la carte service was good but very slow so we only made it through to dessert the once as two hours in a restaurant was too big of an ask for the little ones. A FEW DRAWBACKS FOR YOUNG FAMILIES: The nightly entertainment for children which looked great started too late for the small kids to attend. The adult entertainment as well started late and always ran behind schedule. The front desk staff had very limited English which made simple questions very difficult and left us unsure of their answers on several occasions. OUR ONLY NEGATIVE: But it was a pretty strong negative. Three out of the four (including the two kids) ended up with food poisoning on our last night after dinner at one of the a la carte restaurants. We'd been sharing a salmon dish that I'd thought at the time tasted a bit strange. It made for an awful night and we were all super tired on the way home. OVERALL: The hotel was quite nice. The amenities were sufficient. Family friendly. Not too crowded (though we went a bit off season). Great location. Though we probably wouldn't go back again after the last day's experience.

It was a great resort, glad I was there in off season. Felt that if they were full it could of been very crowded.

Everything was looked after quite nicely but again could see problems when resort was full. Loved the variety of foods and no extra charges on premium alcohol. My room was clean and surrounding area. Nice pleasant staff, I had an enjoyable time.

A resort you want to vacation at

My son and I stayed at the be live collection marien in puerta plata for 7 days October 12-19 we had a amazing 7 days the staff was amazing an very friendly they went out of there way to make each guest welcome. There daily activities at the beech or around the pool. There was Nightly entertainment at the Theatre . the grounds were kept clean an beautiful . Our room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels to shower in an the the fridge always stocked with water drinks an beer. The only complain that I do have witch is I guess not connected to the resort is the locals who worked the beech they are very persistent and annoying with trying to get you to come to the flee market. They will not except no for a answer so for that made me stay away from the beech area witch was a little disappointed because I love being at the beech. Over all my son an I had amazing trip and definitely will return again very soon

Fantastic Vacation

Rooms were clean and resort is just big enough. Staff is friendly and food is tasty. Will definitely go back!!! Only issue is the bathtub took a long time to drain 😔 Beach is beautiful and pool is quite large and decided quiet vs party

Great week at the Be Live Collection

We just returned on October 13th. This is a small well run resort. The beach is amazing for Puerto Plata (usually it is dark sand but this was a lighter softer sand). If you are looking for a lot of relaxing then this is the resort for you. We were in building 3 on the beach and we had a clean room. We had a problem looking our patio door and they were on it right away. We went to both the Mediterranean and Brazilian steak house for dinner and loved them both. The buffet was decent as well. Paradise on Earth !!

The beach was beautiful .. the hotel staff are hilarious and have so much fun with the tourists ..would go back to this resort just to hang with the animators all day ! Great energy here ! Kayaking was great !

Great time
