Savannah Beach Hotel: Beautiful resort

We were looking for r & r and that is exactly what we got. There is some evening entertainment, but no daytime activities such as bingo, aqua fitness or watercraft. We were fine with this. The resort was clean. The staff were extremely friendly and enjoyed them immensely. The restaurants had a lot of variety at each meal. Most of the guests were older, average age was probably around 60.

Accra Beach Hotel and Spa: Accra Beach Hotel... good and bad

Beautiful property. Lobby, grounds and pool area are very nice. Room had ocean view, which was spectacular. Sand beach was one of the best we have ever been on. Rooms were a bit tired and need some work. Fan in bathroom was non functional as it was in our friends room. Hot water was not available the first day. After complaining to desk, it did work later on the second day , but a lot of water was wasted before it warmed up. We became aware of the sewage problem in Barbados on the third da [... read more]y of our stay. The sewage system cannot handle the volume and several sewer grates were bubbling effluent onto the streets , which then would enter the ocean untreated. We then checked on the internet and found that the Canadian Govt had issued a travel advisory on Jan 8 in regard to the sewage problem on the south shore of Barbados. We were most dissappointed that Trip Central did not make us aware of this, since we did not go there until Jan28. The local newspapers talk about this ongoing infrastructure issue having been going on for several years. We stopped swimming in the ocean and started buying bottled well water that was imported from Tobago. Very doubtful that we will return to this overpriced and under-serviced island.

The Club Barbados Resort: A very pleasant surprise

We went on this 10 day vacation we knew Barbados would not disappoint. We really enjoyed the resort, although older it is being very well maintained and improvement are constantly ongoing. Two restaurants and they offered a wide variety of options. The staff were all very helpful and really made it a very enjoyable stay. The spa is wonderful so make time for a treatment, the bamboo massage was my fav. Good central location as well. We would go back again.

Starfish Discovery Bay: Discovery Bay

Hotel was nice and clean, staff was friendly. Drinks were amazing. Beach and snorkeling was out of this world. Food quality was fine. Resort is walking distance to shopping, felt safe to take public transportation. Entertainment was very simple. Perfect get away if you want to relax, and enjoy some quiet down time. Highly recommended.

Bougainvillea Beach Resort: Great resort

The hotel was lovely with very nice recently decorated rooms. The beach was clean and the staff always helpful with towels and beach umbrellas. The entire staff throughout the resort were friendly and extremely helpful. Lance the food manager, and Jose Manuel at the beach bar were the most delightful people you would want to meet. My only request would be a bit more variety in the restaurants however the food was very enjoyable

Barbados Beach Club: Great beach. Great food at the a la carte.

Very basic room with basic food (but that is all you need), except at the a la carte three times a week where the food was excellent and well presented. Beer and drinks were all good. Beach was amazing with wonderful waves for body surfing. Excellent location with a 15 min walk to Oistins and 10 minutes down the beach to St. Lawrence Gap. Barbados is a wonderful place to visit.

The Rockley by Ocean Hotels: Perfect vacation

South beach is an amazing hotel. Perfect location, right across from Rockley beach. Rooms are beautiful and clean. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Chairs and towels are included so no extra cost there! I would definately go back.

Savannah Beach Hotel: Wonderful intimate resort

Our aim when booking was to find a small resort where we were close to all amenities...What a great choice..we walked out of our room to a refreshing shallow pool that winds through the property ..wonderful, knowledgeable staff, always smiling and happy..great restaurants close by and walking distance to Bridgetown..loved our trip!

Almond Beach Resort: Wonderfully relaxing resort❤

Enjoyed a beautiful relaxing time here. Food was very well done. My wife ate more fish than she has ever done.😊 Lots of activities to do that were included with the all inclusive feature of the resort. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Special shout out the the staff at the resort spa. Thanks to all for a wonderful time. ❤❤

Barbados Beach Club: Good Value...amazing beach

My husband and I just got back from a week stay at this resort. Small, quaint, quiet and clean. The ladies at reception were not the most welcoming. Looked like they did not want to be there at all and were very slow. One did apologize for the wait. The room was very nice. Large room and bathroom (big vanity to fit your stuff). I like the fact that all rooms have a balcony. We did not book an ocean view room but was assigned one anyway. That was a real bonus as the scenery was spectacular. The [... read more] beach is beautiful, white soft sand except that in a few areas near some shrubs was litter and a huge bag of garbage. It was there for a few days and I finally asked on of the fellow if he knew it was there. He took it away promptly. The beach should be cleared of litter in the evening so it is nice and clean when you get there in the morning.The lounge chairs could be updated but they were comfortable. The fellows at the beach hut were great in setting up the umbrellas which we never had a problem getting. The waves were always there and it was fun but if you want calm water, this is not the place for you. The food was pretty good. I would have liked to see more fruit. The Reef restaurant was excellent but was only open for 2 nights out of our 7 night stay. It was suppose to be 3 and no explanation as to why. It should really be open more nights. I think they don't have enough staff because when the Reef restaurant was open, the buffet was not. They had 2 bar-b-que nights which were nice for a change. The ribs, chicken and steak were very good. The bar was nice but they only had ONE blender so when the Reef restaurant was open, you could not get any daquaries because that one blender was at the Reef restaurant. They had a gift shop which had merchandise in it and hours posted but was closed. When I asked the reception desk, she said it was closed permanently and that stuff had been moved across the street to the convenience store. I went over but there was nothing there at all as far as souvenirs. I needed postcards which I could see in the gift shop so it was frustrating not to be able to purchase them. There were only a hand full of friendly staff. They were all very efficient, but most of them did not seem happy. Very low key entertainment but we enjoyed it...local band, steel drum player and DJ's. All of our needs were met. The beach, ocean, warm breezes, sunsets and sunrises all made up for the minor negatives. Those were the "WOW" factors of this holiday.

Sandals Barbados: Nice but small

The hotel is nice but small the beach was great but the service was terrible pretty much all around . Had to wait everyda at least 10 to 15 minutes just to get a glass of water or coffee in the morning . Swim up bae is vee small and again 10 to 15 minutes to get a drink . I will not go back to this resort ever

Sandals Barbados: Disappointing Honeymoon with Sandals

The resort was faxed our wedding invitation and acknowledged honeymoon specials we would receive while we were there. Once we got there we confirmed that they knew we were on our honeymoon and they advised there was a note on our room. Each day and night went by and there was zero acknowledgement of this. We did not receive any of the perks they said that we would not even the measly rose petals on our bed. Construction was going on every day at the Sandals Royal Barbados site right next doo [... read more]r which is right beside the main pool. All day you could hear drilling and other noises. There was always a 10 minute wait to get a drink at the pool bar The staff only walked around the pool to pick up empty glasses (and this was barely done) but never took drink orders. The staff did not seem interested in serving anyone, they were not overly friendly. Day time activities were sparse. The only thing they consistently did was pool volleyball. They advertised beach volleyball and texas horseshoes but when we went to go take part, it was never going on. The night time entertainment was terrible. The first night they had performers which were okay but the area they set it up in was very compact and crowded. Every other night they had a few people singing the same songs over and over again. One night it took 15 minutes to get through to room service. When we finally got through and ordered our food never showed up. Our Club Sandals advisors always seemed bothered when we attended to make a reservation or look for information. They advised they would help us book an excursion and when we went to do this, all they did was walk us over to Island Tours and left. One person even made a big deal about having to get change for American money that we used to pay the balance on our room, trying to insist that we just pay with a credit card as it would be easier. The food at each of the restaurants was great but at times, you were sat way past your reservation. The servers at the restaurants were professional. When we checked out of the resort, not one employee asked us our trip was. Overall we are extremely disappointed with our trip. Considering we spent four times the amount of money going to a Club Level Sandals 5 star resort than our last trip to Riu Palace in Mexico we would expect two times the quality and service. Unfortunately this was not the case. We would have been better off going back to Riu for our honeymoon as our experience at that resort was impeccable. I would never recommend this resort to anyone and doubt I would ever spend this kind of money again to attend a Sandals Resort.

Sandals Barbados: Great Value

Many choices for places to eat with great food - mimosa and smoked salmon at breakfast, shrimp and large lobster tails at dinner and the best filet I've ever had! Top notch liquors throughout the resort. Service at Mariners Restaurant was slow and not terribly friendly. Bed was the most comfortable we've had in the Caribbean.

Sandals Barbados: Good Experience - first time at Sandals

Our first time to Sandals celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. Weather and ocean are beautiful. Food is excellent ( I have to say its quality vs. quantity) not too many options at the buffet at breakfast and lunch (no buffet at dinner time) but everything that is offered is excellent. Staff very friendly and always greeting guests.

The Crane Resort: Relaxing with fabulous views

We love the beach and the restaurants. The staff are lovely. Kids club did what it needed to do. It allowed the kids to get out the sun for an hour or so. We had a room with a pool which was great. I did feel that there were areas/things that were a little run down, such as the loungers, and the rooms. However, the location and the quiet made up for it all. We had a lovely holiday

Sandals Barbados: Nice resort

Resort was really nice. Food was excellent. Cleanliness was top notch. Wasn't too happy that when we arrived there was construction under way and our room was on the same side as construction so our view was a building site and noise started from 8am every morning. Staff very pleasant

Bougainvillea Beach Resort: Relaxing Resort for a Small Family

The Bougainvillea Resort was a very nice and relaxing resort on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach with stunning blue water. The rooms were well furnished and the grounds were well maintained. There are two restaurants on the property that had good quality food. My only complaint would be that the food was very pricy. There is a supermarket close by which you can get to by cab, but once again the cost of food and booze even at the supermarket was pricy. Make sure u have plenty of cash on h [... read more]and for your food and sightseeing. Truly Everything on the island seems to be pricy!! There is also no volleyball net on the beach in front of the hotel to enjoy, and really not much for teenagers to do other than bodysurf on the water, as the water is too rough to spend time in the kayaks or paddle boards that are available. Overall it was an enjoyable vacation, although I think next time we are in Barbados, we will most likely try an all inclusive.

Time Out Hotel Barbados: Very Nice and a good price

This was a nice hotels very low key not luxurious very basic but good enough for a quick stay. We enjoyed the pool area and the beach across the street. The staff at the hotel were nice but the food at the restaurant wasn't great. I'd stay again

Almond Beach Resort: Great beach! Perfect water!

Hotel is outdated. Clean. Staff very firndly, more than friendly!! Food is a joke!! I know I had free time, bcs it was on vacation, but for god sake I want be on the beach , but we spent 1/3 of day waiting for our orders. Except brekfast and some dinner you have only a la carte restaurants. Forget about island fruits (you will have apples, bananas and watermelon). Something sweet? Oh no way!! You need to look good in your swimming suite! Lol You want see any sea food (exept one dish which  [... read more]looks like someone's puke) Most food look not apetite. Drinks?! Can you imagine vacation on an island without mojito? I couldn't but yes it is possible in this resort! No pepermint leaves!! no mojito!! I will say food is about 3* cuba. Im not a picky eater, but you wish to have some choices when you spent couple of grands for your only vacation, I can say you want to be spoiled by number of food for that money spent. I will never be back, and I will never recommend this hotel. Its bad because staff was so nice!! And beach is wonderfull.

Starfish Discovery Bay: 3 Star Exactly What You Get

For a 3 star it's ok. Basic everything. Not much food selection at dinner buffet, but breakfast & lunch is good. Service is good everywhere but except for eating area. The servers are very cold, serious & unfriendly. They come across as arrogant & overly-confident. Hotel is old & very simple. Beach location is good, pool is very small & not very clean but all else is feasible. For the price you pay it's ok, not that bad.
