Nice resort

This was our second trip here and we would return! Good food, nice beach, staff friendly and very clean! Only small complaint is there WiFi, it was not user friendly at all and many trips to front desk to rectify!! We have been to many resorts and never had this problem as we did our first trip here, not a game changer but, fix it!!

Delightful Place

We spent a fun week at the newly renovated Ambar. The meals were excellent whether from the buffet restaurants or the unlimited a la carte restaurants we tried. The location is good, being only 30 minutes from the airport, so you can get your sun on shortly after arriving!!

Incredible Vacation

Just returned from the Bahia Ambar resort, and the vacation couldn't have been better ! Jean, our butler, took care of us like we were his family. He handled our requests very professionally, and his outstanding personality made us feel incredibly good. All the staff there were happy and attentive, with a special thanks to Maura at the pool restaurant. She always went the extra mile to make sure we were well fed and watered, cappuccino coffees after lunch, wine, water, whatever we needed she wa [... read more]s right there. Also, the Limbo Restaurant had the most amazing food, presentation and flavors were over the top. I have no complaints, but will mention that the bathrooms are open concept, which is a little different when travelling with my 2 sisters.. We will be back soon !

Great resort

The room was very clean, always up to standard for a 5 star resort, the resort was always maintained as the hard working people did a good job cleaning, everyone’s friendly, this is a place for someone to relax and enjoy a luxurious getaway!

Excellent!

This is our third time at this resort. The last 2 times we booked the swim-up and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is excellent. Do not forget to inquire which evenings they have they have their specialty dinners at Palmyra buffet. Tuesday was seafood night and WOW! We were lucky enough once again to have rainfall only overnight.

Amazing Ambar

This is the second time we were at this resort ( the last was 10 years ago) It remains a stellar resort. The resort is beautiful and clean The food delicious and most importantly the people are the kindest most helpful staff !!!

Impressive on Every Level

We stayed at the Luxury Ambar from Dec. 28th to Jan. 4th and we can’t say enough about the resort, the service and the food. This was our third stay at the Bahia Principe, having stayed previously at the Punta Cana and Amber Green. The Luxury Ambar is by far the best. It was difficult to connect and very sketchy when you did finally get connected. Apparently they are working on correcting this issue. We will definitely be returning for New Years if not before!

Great resort!

Great facility. Beautiful beach! Stunning rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only problem was that all the restaurants were booked when we arrived. They should reserve restaurants for Ambar guests.

Beautiful hotel

The rooms are new and modern. I found rooms humid. Didnt feel our room had best air conditioning. They also have room fan that is super fast and no way to turn down so would shut off at night. Pillows no very good either. The maids and service are fabulous. Everyone eager to please. Food excellent and drinks. Lot choose from. Beach and pool area beautiful and clean. I will go back for sure

Great resort

This resort is great. Very quite and relaxing. Food on most part was good. Did not like MEAT a la carte. Transportation to resort was terrible and then when we got there we had to wait again for shuttle from aquamarine to amber. Rooms were excellent. Staff excellent and very friendly.

Definitely 5 star!

This hotel is paradise! The ride from the airport is about 30 minutes. The grounds were immaculate with palm trees and lots of tropical plants, both outside and inside the hotel. Our corner room was clean,large and comfortable. We had an issue with a leaky toilet and maintenance was sent immediately. There is a safe, stocked fridge, some toiletries,slippers and a robe. The beach is great to go for long walks on,if you want. The shuttle service was frequent and the drivers were courteous. We took the shuttle all around just to tour the property. Food was very good and there was a great variety of selection. There was a seafood dinner night at the main buffet which included lobster. We made our reservations on the Bahia app and it worked well. We ate at the M.E.A.T restaurant and we were not disappointed. The ceasar salad, steak,clam chowder soup and double chocolate brownie were our choice! This hotel has given us some wonderful memories and wanting to go back in the future!

Our fourth time there

If your looking for an adult only resort in Punta Cana, this is the one. This December 2019 was our fourth time to this resort. It was great four years ago and has improved even more every year since. The food is great. The drink are the best and the workers are exceptional. We have gotten to know many of them by name and they recognize us each year as we return. The beach is perfect as well as the pool area. The only complaint I have is I like to play volleyball but their beach court is poorly set up. Hopefully by the next time we go, that will have been improved.

Amazing!!

Best resort ever! better each time I return as I’ve been to this resort 6 times and love everything about it! With all the updates they have done and adding the coffee shop and sports bar, this resort has everything! Entertainment is amazing and staff are like family Highly recommend

Amazing Resort

The total experience was spectacular! The room and swim up was great (along main walkway could use umbrellas for morning or afternoon sun). The food, service (Jean was great!), grounds and overall experience was impeccable. Suggestions...cross contamination is a potential problem with serving utensils at the buffet (wife is a nurse). Birthday celebration

The hotel is beautiful. The room was modern and clean. We loved our Butlers Livia and Horan. A nice touch by leaving a birthday cake and champagne in our room. Nice selection of restaurants loved Meat and Italian. Right on the ocean. The coffee shop was excellent.

Amazing time

Everything that I had hoped for in a vacation. We had a swim out room Harom was our concierge he was so great. The resort is beautiful and everything is so well maintained. Will go back again as some as we can .

Quality and Service at its best

My wife and I were at the Ambar from Oct 27/19 thru Nov 3/19.We booked a swim out room that was ultra modern and cleaned every day.We ate in five different a la carte restaurants and all were very good.The pool and the beach are amazing with lots of loungers every day.The service at this hotel was some of the best we have received and we travel twice a year.We were at the Ambar 4 years ago and the people working here are the best.If you are looking for a adults only with impeccable service then  [... read more]I would highly recommend the Ambar. Wonderful Resort 🌞🌞🌞

This was our 6th visit to this resort. The renovations are spectacular. The grounds are always kept prestine. Food is fabulous. We were there for our anniversary and our butler concierge had our room decorated and a lovely cake set out for us. Thanx again for a wonderful stay. See you again soon 🌞☀🌞☀🌞❤

Paradise in Punta Cana

The resort was absolutely wonderful! The food and the beach and the swim up room made for a relaxing and fun getaway! The resort staff were friendly and helpful. An email to the resort ahead of time was a great idea as all of our a la carted were booked in advance. Highly recommend!

Much luxuries

Pros: service with a smile Great food, great pool activities, attentive majordome service, every times we walked out of our room it was cleaned and well cleaned (we've tested it three times one day) Cons: no French Canadian tv channels. 36 hours without Any tv Service. Very little nightly entertainment while we were there. We were allowed 7 restaurants but the.only available times was 9:30pm at 2 restaurants all the others not available.
