Our favorite Caribbean hideaway

3rd time back. What brings us back is that it not too big so you get to know staff and amenities. Staff are wonderful, beach is beautiful and the pool is very nice. We went to all the entertainment except the white party. our daughter had her wedding there and made us all feel very special. We had a junior suite the first day but switched down to a lesser room that had been renovated after the hurricane. It was very nice. The junior suite was in very bad need of upgrading. broken til [... read more]es, bathroom floor grout was stained badly and lots of chips and chunks of wall and wood missing everywhere. Only electrical outlets were in sitting area, none by the beds. luckily I brought a long extension cord to plug a cpap machine into. in both rooms there was mold in the bathroom that probably wouldn't take too long to clean up but it stayed the whole time we were there, and probably still is . alacarts and buffets were good Beach bars and snack bars were great but the snack bars sometimes ran out of different things. We brought tools , clothes, hygiene products, clothes pins, cook ware, a hairdryer, an electric sandwich maker, an unwanted tablet and a couple of old phones. all were greater appreciated. we tipped the maid , restaurant staff and bar staff but gave most of our gifts to the gardeners, other non room cleaning staff, staff that stock fridges and other staff that don't get much of any tips at all.

Excellnt resort

Hotel is one of the best in Cayo Coco, beach and pool amazing, restaurants and bars very good, excellent activities/programs on entertainment, rooms clean with A/C working well, perfect services on bar tenders, waiters, front desk personnel, etc. Very nice gardens, lot of flowers and bushes around bldgs. It is a pleasure to dream to go back....

Beach beautiful, entertainment great, food really good

The beach was wonderful and there were lots of chairs and shade available. We liked the east end past the diamond club beach. Great bar and grill there that served everyone. Sand bar walk was a wonderful way to exercise and enjoy the turquoise clear water. The entertainment was great. Lots of live musicians and the dancers were pro’s. The pool parties were fun. Churros were delicious and so were the pizzas and fries. Bar service friendly and prompt. Coffee shop is good cute and we had fantastic Spanish coffee there. Snack bar by pool was a fun place to hang out as was the bar/ coffee shop/piano lounge by the lobby. A’lacarte meals were good. Decor a bit tired in Mediterranean restaurant. Grounds are well kept and attractive. The lagoon on the property was pretty with the 1 flamingo and turtles. Also Fico the pelican was entertaining. There were some friendly cats on the property. They look pretty healthy. We did see one mousing under some bushes. Doing his job. Our room was upgraded with a lovely tile shower and counter mounted sink. Hot water was plentiful and we were supplied with clean towels when needed. The ladies who cleaned did their jobs well. We did have a few things go missing while we were there. A pair of sunglasses, a hat and a baseball. Not sure who might have them. Another tourist or a local? Who knows. The baseball did disappear from the room. My room mate had a case of the trots from the food and I had a day or 2 when I came home. So common for tropical environment and our spoiled guts. I have treated with Imodium and pro biotics and all better. I would definitely go back. It’s not a place I would recommend for the younger crowd unless you take a bunch of peers with you, as average age seemed to be 35 and up. Mostly French Canadian, Russians and Anglo Canadians at this resort.

Amazing resort and staff

This was my first trip and I have to say hands down the best staff and entertainment I have ever seen I have been to alot of gitels and have never been treated like family. The food was great the drinks were cold and everyone could speak about 3 to 5 different languages. This made my trip better cause I dont speak anything but english and i was worried i would have a hard time. Most Gorgeous Beach!

Memories Caribe Cayo Coco Cuba is an amazing resort! The beach is the most incredible beautiful beach I've ever seen! The staff and service are exceptional, so pleasant & caring, and they are always available to meet all your needs. What I think could improve however is more tiki umbrellas & lounge chairs at the beach, more shade covered areas at the pool, air circulating ceiling fans in the main bar and outdoor dining areas, and some stronger drinks! lol

Well kept resort.

The resort is well kept. Our room was very large. We have been to quite a few resorts in Cuba and found the staff at this resort not as friendly. The wait staff in the restaurant were miserable for the most part. The gardener close to our building was the friendliest staff member - Juan Carlo. Dilena at the front desk was extremely rude. Amazing resort,

Great enertainment staff! Get you involved and having fun! Amazing dancers! I am a vegetarian and I ate well all week. They were very good about cleaning the pans for me so nothing was contaminated! They don't all speak English but if they don't they will find someone who does to make sure you get what you want!

Amazing Resort

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and tidy. The grounds were amazingly well kept and beautiful. We enjoyed the food and the service at the restaurants were professional and prompt. Lovely beach. The pizzas were delicious and the pinacoladas were great

Well maintained

Nice and clean room, good food, friendly entertainment people, good music, good service, all these at Memory Caribe. Disco and dans every night. Go there and see yourself. If you are not happy is your fault...

Great time

The beaches were amazing, the food was better then other resorts in Cuba, the staff was great. I would go to this resort again. Had a fantastic time. The newly renovated rooms were nice the beds were comfortable.

Beautiful beach; nice smaller resort

Couple looking for inexpensive last minute vacation; beach was our number 1 priority Pros: Beach (beautiful); nearby small reef for snorkeling (saw many fishes, starfish, ray); beautiful grounds, friendly staff, comfy room and bed; good snack bar, good pizzas at beach; beach with many palapas. Found good food to eat every day; breakfast is good with lots of choices including daily egg station and pancake station. What could improve: paint and décor (lobby does not have wow factor; lack [... read more]ing atmosphere in buffet and some restaurants); missing food some days ( eg no hot dogs at beach since out of bread, no mojitos, no mangoes, no orange juice at buffet). Ran out of clean beach towels for many days due to shortage of fuel causing problems with transport. We don't blame the resort for these as common problem throughout Cuba. Mosquitoes are a problem at sunrise and sunset; they are small and hard to see until they get you; bring repellant and you should be fine. Met nice fun people; relaxed at beautiful beach and spent days in ocean even if weather was not the best that week. ps: renovated bathrooms do not have doors so unless you do not mind sharing your private moments with your travelling companion, you may want to bring a curtain (shower curtain and adjustable rod works).

Amazing resort but

The grounds are beautiful and very well kept, the beach is amazing. Every one of the staff I interacted with could not have been nicer or more helpful.The food has improved a lot since I was last in Cuba the specialty restaurants were a real surprise, great food presented well. Now the down side, the mosquitoes and flies are enough to drive you crazy and no amount of bug spray kept them away, my room was on the first floor and the mouldy smell was strong even the drying crystals I brought to hel [... read more]p with the damp didn’t work. I have heard that those rooms were flooded to the ceiling a few years ago. Would love to return l liked the small size of the resort but they need to have some bug control.

Very nice.small resort that we were looking for

this resort was very clean nice rooms but no bathroom door(inconvenient)My patio door was locked from the top of the door, and im to short to unlock it. The Floors at the resort are very slippery when wet . Food was ok in buffet ,, the special restrants were great,

Beautiful beaches

Memories Carine is a beautiful hotel situated on a spectacular beach. Two bars, buffet and restaurants were nicely air conditioned. However the property is on a island full of swamps and mosquitoes. Bug spray could not control the infestation. With exception of the grill areas food was room temp. No doors on our bathroom was an annoyance. If I had to to hear another Celine Dion song I will scream. Suggest more island music.

Lovely property but...

Lovely property. Well maintained by groundskeepers. Great layout. Beach and pool were large, beautiful and lots of chairs and shade when required. Rooms were large but odd choices made by designer. No chest of drawers so really you live out of your suitcase. Rooms are really dark. Need more lighting. No toilet paper holder or hooks to hang wet suits in the bathroom. And really who DOESN'T have a door on the bathroom!!! Just WEIRD. Food was good but would have been great if it was hot. Even when [... read more] it just came out of the kitchen it was still like warm. Bugs were out 24/7 especially first thing in the morning and just after dinner. Everyone got bit big time.

So so

The hotel was acceptable at best, but not great by any means. The food was NOT good by any means. Our room had a number of problems including outlets and lights that didnt work, ants, and an unusable mini fridge ( smelled like an outhouse) The staff was pleasant enuf but nobody put in a big effort. Dont even get me started on the mosquitoes!! Would rate as a possible 3 star but no more

Decent Resort, Beautiful Beach

Beach was amazing, but hotel room had ants and other bugs. The resort staff were always very slow to respond. Wifi only available in lobby. The buffet food was good, but don't expect anything fancy from their other restaurants.

Very tidy resort !

Firstly the grounds were very tidy with lots of staff taking care. The beach has lots of umbrellas with little tables to put your drinks on. Staff were very friendly and my room was much better than I expected. Great night time entertainment. My air conditioner didn’t seem to shut down when it got cool, but that’s my only complaint. Would recommend this resort, it’s a great 4 star :).

Lovely Resort

Memories caribe is a very nice resort. If you’re looking for a relaxing trip this is the resort for you. It is not ideal for those looking to go out and party in my opinion. Moreover, the room was clean but there was no door for the toilet which is not ideal. The food is standard however toward the end of the day they tend to run out of food at the snack bar and run out of some drinks. The staff is extremely friendly! The beach and pool was lovely and all in all I would recommend this resort.

The perfect beach that's it!!

There was way too much mosquito it was unbearable ... Memories Resort Caribe Beach Resort has been transferred to the Cuban government. So, everything will be degraded very fast. No towel available all week, sprite, the food at the buffet was missing. The exchange rate used for convertible Cuban money was too high. The food at Cuba no surprise… Basically, if you pay more than $ 800 it's too expensive! The hotel is 4 stars, my opinion It's not more than 3 stars
