Park Royal Ixtapa: Good but not Great

The hotel was very clean and friendly staffed. There were a few too many timeshare people all over you. Also on weekends they over sell to locals so it gets packed. The food was good but never hot. Only one buffet and one a la carte. Very lacking in evening entertainment. It was a great holiday though!! Being right in Ixtapa was awesome. I would recommend hotel as long as people know this.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Service ++++

We have been traveling for the last 20 years to resorts and my wife and and I have come to an agreement... Las Brisas has been our best experience to date, all rooms are Ocean view, awesome food , fantastic beach and really great service!!! Highly recommend the Ixtapa area and highly recommend Las Brisas!!

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Best Ever!

We had the best time at this resort. Service was over the top! Rooms incredible being so spacious with a million dollar view. So clean, comfortable beds and great location. No complaints what so ever. I also want to acknowledge our booking agent as she was very professional, helpful and accommodating.

Barcelo Ixtapa: Beautiful Beach

Hotel is dated, rooms were clean, food was descent, service mediocre although staff was very friendly. Location fabulous, lots to do off resort whether just strolling on the beach, enjoying a massage and shopping or dining across the street. Will definitely be back, but maybe not to that resort. Oh and the weather was perfect!

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Beautiful resort in Ixtapa on Pacific coast of Mexico

We just spent eight days and seven nights at this lovely resort. It was a girls trip full of relaxation and enjoyment . Ixtapa weather is perfect and guaranteed in the winter. Not only did we have sunshine every day- there was not a single cloud nor a single raindrop during our stay. . Azul Grand Ixtapa was a wonderful resort with amazing service, delicious food and everything you could possibly need in a vacation. We would go back in a New York minute !!

Krystal Ixtapa: Great resort!!

This resort is beautiful. They are renovating right now but after the first day of being there you barely notice the construction noise. Drinks, sun and fun. The food was ok, not the greatest but there was always something to eat. Our room was great, we faced the ocean and pool. Lorenzo at the pool bar was awesome, super friendly ! We would definetly return

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Lovely location

The three restaurants we went to were great, food and service excellent. The beach was beautiful and enough chairs for everyone, the releasing of the turtles was really cool.Pools for everyone, adult pool, wadding pool and kids pool. The lounging chairs were a bit worn down but lots of them. More straight chairs near the pools would have been great for people with mobility difficulties as the lounge chairs were quite low. Very low key hotel, so if you are looking for relaxation rather than activities this is the place.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at Hotel Azul Ixtapa from Jan 19 - 26, 2017. Weather was fantastic! This is an amazing place for families with younge kids (water park and kids club up to 12 years old). Very clean, excellent service, beautiful pools, great food! Definitely come back!

Villa Mexicana: Very nice location

Very good location, very close to beach. If and that's a big IF you have the right room, you will have a decent vacation. Initially we had a very bad room...musty, dark, no balcony. Luckily we were given a better room when I told them I couldn't stay in that room for an entire week! Good water pressure and hot water but the air conditioning cut out on us a couple times. However the maintenance staff was available immediately to fix the issue. There are no refrigerators in the rooms but read o [... read more]n trip advisor to check at the reception desk for styrofoam coolers but apparently none were available even after 5 days and a steady turnover of rooms. I gave up asking at the desk but the maintenance man was able to locate one for us! We also did not appreciate the lounge chair games. The chairs were claimed the night before! Some individuals claimed their loungers for the entire week even though some days they were not even at the resort during the day! Some individuals have been visiting this resort for many years and I feel that some favortism was in progress here. Let me conclude with saying that this resort is very close the beach and it is one of the best. Gentle waves and very soft sand and clear warm water. The views and sunset is incredible.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Excellent Resort

This hotel was by far one of the best (if not the best) hotel we have stayed in Mexico,all inclusive hotels. The only negative was that the beach was too small and not very sandy. Also, not any interesting sight seeing in close proximity.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Azul Grand Ixtapa

Spacious rooms, clean and beautiful views. Good sized balcony , walk in closet. Maid service daily with special floral effects on the bed. All staff friendly and helpful. A la Carte restaurants were fabulous and buffet adequate as you can find something you will enjoy as everything is prepared well. Nightly live entertainment in the lobby bar and dinner shows and fiesta for those who enjoy this type of entertainment.

Posada Real Ixtapa: Best place on the beach

This was my second stay at Posada Real.I was not disappointed.The hotel is small enough to be intimate.The staff are pleasant and helpful.The rooms are reasonably comfortable(I did not go to have a luxurious room,as I spend a lot of time on beach).The room attendants properly cleaned my room,every day.I really liked that the waiters remembered me from last year.Posada has a gorgeous pool,with the widest part of the beach.I'll be back next year!

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Excellent Service

The rooms were clean and adequate but the beds very hard. The food was good but rather too much geared to Mexican tastes also lacking in such things as guacamole and fresh salsa. The bars did not mix drinks such as mohitos, everything was pre-mixed. The pools could have been cleaner. However, I suppose they cut corners to keep prices low.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Amazing place

This hotel is north of xtapa near playa Linda. A very beautiful location right across from ixtapa island. Very clean resort but has lots of stairs but there are elevators to use. Food was very good for resort food but strong Mexican influence. Snack bar was great. Burgers. Fries. Pizza. Pools were warm to swim as well as the ocean. Azul Ixtapa Resort: Very relaxing genuine holiday

The holiday got off to a rocky start, our flight was delayed causing arrival at 10:30pm instead of 7:30pm. A lot of confusion at the hotel with the crushing throng added to our apprehension. That was the start. After getting a decent night we surveyed the beautiful resort which is spread out along the beach and pool (two large) where we found the grounds and hotel were attended by a well organized and substantial staff. Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Amazing Resort

Great Spot, very friendly staff, Helpful....Everyone spoke English my safe had to be reset and my phone was not working. within five minutes one gent came to my room and fixed the phone as well another fellow fixed my safe. very clean, nice rooms, shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, casino literally across the street. walk down the beach seafood restaurants, massage tents, would recommend it great value

Park Royal Ixtapa: Would not recommend

Stayed from December 23 to December 30, 2016. Hotel was quite busy. A lot of kids in the supposed adult only pool, so most of our time was spent on the beach. Food was satisfactory however more variety would have been nice. Would not return to this hotel.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: We will be back

Beautiful room with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Beach was small but adjacent beach was great. A la carte restaurants were very good. Improvement could be made to the buffet as selection was limited and resembled a cafeteria atmosphere and décor. Staff were courteous and hard working. Shows were above average in comparison to other all inclusives.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Would not return

The location of the resort was beautiful. The food was very good but the variety was lacking. Aside from the al a carte the buffets had the same food everyday. The lobby was very uninviting and the lobby bar did not open until 4:00. There was no coffee bar/cafe you had to go to the buffets to get a coffee in the morning. Nothing remained open past 11:00pm for food snacks or drinks The pool was overcrowded very difficult to get a chair if you were not out to save a chair before 7:00am.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Great Pre-Christmas Getaway

First time here with not much expectation after last Mexican trip at a 5 star south of Cancun. Pleasantly surprised by the excellent service, great food and the friendliest staff ever encountered in Mexico. Every bartender, server, cleaner, bellboy, activity and desk staff were so friendly I thought we had tipped them 100+ pesos each in advance per service. Food was also excellent, but please don't opt for the Oyster Bar breakfast due to the morning wasps it attracts. Best a la Cartès were;  [... read more]Oyster Bar seafood dinner (no wasps), Oriental and Mexican. Best surprise of all was the lack of pushy timeshare salespeople and the excellent personal on site attention given by the resort manager and each restaurant manager. This is a compact resort, built upwards thus minimal walking but has a great elevator system for the mobility challenged. We will definitely come back. NB- be sure to walk to the pier and take the water taxi time Ixtapa island. Only 40 pesos each return for a day of great snorkeling, swimming and friendly beach front bars/cafes. Rooms are modern and well maintained with quality granite-marble work and free good fast Wi-Fi included for each room. Also, try to request a room on the left half of the building (looking toward the ocean) for the best ocean views and magnificent sunsets.
