Sunscape Curacao Resort: Something For Everyone Resort!

This all inclusive resort was fabulous. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff were so helpful. Food was good with lots of options. Lots to explore in a tour or on your own. We walked halfway to town, so much to see. Mambo beach next door. Thought this offered everything a great family resort could and more! Would go back in a minute.

Renaissance Curacao: Amazing service !

Our stay at the Renaissance Curacao was one of the best experiences we have ever had on a vacation. The staff was exceptional ! The hotel itself is nice but not 5 star. The customer service makes up for that.

No complaints about the resort knowing that we booked a four star resort, beach was great for swimming, the resort itself is an older resort but well looked after and very clean. Big shout out and Thank You to Mark the Casino Manger who stepped up when hotel management couldn't be bothered, Mark went well above and beyond to help us out while we were in a bit of a predicament and also Ecko who made sure our stay was fun and enjoyable. The only complaint would be that booking with Trip Central,  [... read more]we up graded our flight to business class ( which was not cheap) with the guarantee from travel agent that we would have the Maple Leaf Lounges at both Toronto and Curacao airports, when we arrived for our departing flight, which was delayed at Curacao airport we were informed that there was no such lounge available for us.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Very nice

The food was good. The a la carte restaurants didn't require a reservation, which was nice. Had to lone up about 10 mins before dinner service in order to get a seat at the first seating otherwise we would have to wait about an hour and 15 mins. Was pretty much the only negative. Staff was friendly, excellent snorkeling, and the whole island was really safe.

This resort was built in 1966, It was a Breezes before that. I really do read all the reports on Trip Advisor, Oyster, and Monarch. Most are complaining about everything , most are saying its the best. I usually discard 50%. Friends recommended the resort, saying it was a little tired but still ok, as it had a 4* rating. The ro [... read more]om we were given, as requested , was to be central but quiet not near the entertainment all night. When we entered the room, I didn't want to unpack. There were no doors on the closets, 1 small round table, with 1 outdoor chair. The bathroom was so outdated ,there was no place to put anything away,as there was no counter-space around the sink.The shower was 24x24 with a curtain round around it, and the curtain was so small in didn't close.The safe was broken, and when my husband sat on the corner of the bed it collapsed. We request another room in an upgraded block, which we refused to pay for, but it was granted, although we had to wait 2 days for. Because the safe was broken, I had to keep all of our money, passports with me, until that room was ready. The other room was a little better, with a balcony we could get another chair inside and the bathroom had a walk in shower and some counterspace. But in was still outdated but very clean.It was on the 3rd floor. Although I have somewhat of a disability it was manageable. We booked the resort for 2 wks at over $7,900.00 cdn. On the plus side, the beach is very nice with the break wall , amazing snorkelling , warm water, temperature was always 29 degrees, a very warm breeze, and no rain.The resort is extremely clean , the bathrooms spotless, and our room was very clean every day.The staff are fluent in at least 3-5 languages, English, Spanish, Dutch, Some German and some french. There was never a communication problem.Any problem we had with the new room was fixed within hours. The staff were very friendly. However the buffet was awful. The staff would take forever to bring coffee cups, and coffee, until people decided to get it themselves. The buffet consisted of 1 aisle. The food was most always cold, or warm at the most. Salad bar and deserts were non-existed. No pasta station, no carving station. No desert station, 2 soup containers with floating grease or oil. Thankfully there was 1 sole who could make an omelette and fry an egg. The food was constantly recycled into another leftover the next day.For the money we paid it was a 2+ at the best. Some Melias in Cuba had better food , and that's not saying much.The a la carte's were a little better, but while the main meat was warm and veggies or side was always cold. The capital is beautiful, clean, safe, and a major cruise port. Would I go back. No, Would I recommend it, No. If you want to spend $8,000.00 simply go elsewhere.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Wonderful Vacation

This is a beautiful resort, bearing in mind that all the beaches are 'man made'. Sunscape is kept very clean and we found the staff, for the most part, to be very friendly. Carolina (F&B) is absolutely the BEST! Very friendly and attentive; Cornella was our bartender in the 8000 units and she was amazing also. Resta [... read more]urants are first come, first serve, as opposed to having to make reservations. We didn't have any trouble getting into all of these; some more than once. Entertainment does leave something to be desired however, we don't go for the evening activities so much. The lobby cafe and bar is smaller than most we've been to and the "international" liquors didn't include what my husband preferred (Canadian Club, or Crown Royal, Rye??). Madelaine was instrumental in helping us find some, after a few days. Overall, we were there for 10 days and loved our time away from the winter!

Had a great trip. Carolina , a supervisor in thefood and beverage was awesome , so friendly , deserves to be a manager ! Would strongly recommend this resort !t. Everything you need is here . Good family resort !

Ok hotel. Service good, food just ok. Rooms are ok. No hot water for the whole week. Only 3 bath towels and no hand towels or facecloths. Beautiful beach and swimming area. The entertainment was mediocre. Three star at best

Beautiful resort, wonderful staff, great weather, lots to see and do. 2 weeks in paradise! Hope to make it back in the future:) The restaurants served a great selection of quality food, always plenty to drink while relaxing by the pool or on the beach.

Love the beach, pools ok, same food repeating at buffet and restaurants weekly, buffet servers slow and not attentive, ask for a spoon and you'll be left to get your own on more than one occasion, miss the weekly treats at the beach grill, like no steak sandwiches, beer treat in boat and pyaya, casino is outdated and machines are like vacuums with your $, The people are hard working but need more training and help, they are for the most part very accommodating and pleasant (just not so much in [... read more] the buffet!) Kunuku Aqua Resort: Great resort

The resort was great well designed and great for families and adults alike. The variety of food supplied was a bit weak but there was always enough and prepared well. The employees were extremely friendly and willing to assist at all times. Great trip.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: 3rd time and will go back

Love the staff and beach. Room had an ocean view and was very clean minor issue with bathroom door handle but otherwise no complaints. This is my third time at this resort and will go back again. People are very friendly and willing to help if you have any issues.

I’m not planning to write in details, cause I think tripadvisor is better place to write in. But about the trip, ocean was perfect, sandy white beach and blue water, gorgeous weather and amazing sunshine were the best part of the trip. Resort was tired! Buildings go back to 1960s! Which is still funny and that 3 hours not even available. They either go out of cone, or ice cream or the ice cream is too hard to serve! Lol they prepare seats for outside twice the week but it’s just good for the first 50 people Lool the rest have to take the food outside and go sit inside to eat. first room terrible second room after spending 4 days in the first much better restaurants waited at least 1.5 hours before getting meals need better chefs. The workers are very friendly, the evening shows cheap

The hotel itself was clean. It could use some updating but this is to be expected for the age of the resort. The grounds were well kept. The beach area was gorgeous. The snorkeling was amazing...just like being in an aquarium. And now the ugly...the staff were miserable, except for LaToya at the Sugar Reef bar. Sunscape Curacao Resort: Such a Great Vacation!

Everything you need is there. Most especially the location is fantastic being so close to the Aquarium, Mambo Beach, and Willemstad. The snorkeling on site was also really enjoyable. I even saw a lion fish!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Not a 4 star resort barely a 3

This resort needs a lot of work to be granted a 4star rating. Food is very reptious and boring. Every once in a while there was things very good but never saw them again over 10 days Restaurant staff do not seem to be happy and never smile. Too many nights waiting 2 hours to receive your meal which was always cold. Beach was great but pools full of noisy kids.

This is not a 4 star resort but enjoyed our vacation. Check in was fast and easy and our luggage was taken promptly to our room.The room was in The Tower and was large and newly renovated.Down side was the thermostat was broken with no replacement available.We kept the patio door open most of the time to heat the room up. The fridge was not working but fixed promptly. Was disappointed there wasn’t an adult pool but spent all our time at the beach anyway.The water is so clear you don’t need to snorkel to see the fish.Never had a problem getting beach towels or a spot in the shade. Very few people towel reserved chairs. The food was “resort food”but could always find something to eat at the buffet. Did not like the lunch at the beach but in the evening the food was much better. I had steak and ribs and both were very good.Service is always touch and go. The Japanese restaurant was very good. The Italian was a disappointment the first time we tried it.Over 21/2 hours to serve dinner but the second time was better. I was disappointed in the lobby bar.Just a couple of tables with plastic chairs but assume most sit around the pool after dinner. It is a small resort with everything around the pool area. The bar tenders were all friendly and efficient and the servers could take lessons from them. The entertainment was hit and miss ,The carnival night and fire show were good. If you just want to experience the island it is a good resort.If you are looking for a true 4 star this is not for you.

Sandals Royal Curacao: Amazing Resort

Friendly staff , check in process easy and hassle free. Grounds were well kept and cleaned. Hotel was beautiful overall and quiet. Would definitely visit this resort again. My package was not all inclusive but meals were affordable for two people.
