Good time, great people, hot sun, refreshing water

Friendly staff, rooms where clean, we had a great stay. Buffet food - lots of variety, not impressed with the a la Carte experience - tried them both. Other options on the resort makes for a full stomach all the time. I traveled with a vegetarian and a picky eater and there were very few complaints. Overall a Super value for your money.

Great Resort!

Resort was nice. Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean resort & rooms. Beautiful beach! Great food at the Aqua Bar! Buffet food was hit & miss, but not bad. Good shows at night. Decent nightlife. Only complaint was all the Mosquitos!! Overall fun time & amazing weather!

The staff make this resort amazing.

We have been to this resort 3 times now. We love going to the Mojito. It is like visiting with friends every time we go back. I don't go to Cuba for the food. I am not fussy so always find something to eat. The rooms are clean just outdated. Every time we go back there are improvements. We plan to go again in sept 2015 with family and friends. There are 20 of us going.

Fantastic Staff! Wonderful vacation!

I visited the Iberostar Mojito for the second time Nov 11 to 18 2014 - once again I was thrilled with my stay! I was surprised by the number of staff who not only remembered me from my last visit - but greeted me warmly by name! Since I was travelling alone for the first time, I found this very re-assuring. I had made some specific requests when booking my vacation – and all were easily accommodated without having to ask at check-in. I find the atmosphere here a little more laid back and relaxed than some places I have visited in Cuba, and I enjoy this. Food was basic but very good with lots of choice – I made use of the buffet and poolside café most often as they are convenient and offer great variety. The nightly stage shows are top caliber – I especially enjoyed the “Disco” and “Chicago” shows. All in all a wonderful vacation – restful and relaxing – cared for by wonderful staff and met some fellow Canadians and made new friends!

Very good resort

The staff were all fabulous, very friendly and accommodating. The hotels are 3 stories so ask for bottom floor if you have a problem with stairs. The rooms were okay and always clean.. 1 pool with a swim up bar and another pool for adults only.

Highly recommended resort

Beautiful resort conveniently located 15 minutes from the Cayo Coco Airport. Staff attentive everywhere needed through out the resort. Beach a little walk from the resort but worth the stroll-not much exercise during my stay so this was an enjoyable activity

A luxurious experience

Clean, felt so looked after, felt like being on a large 5 star plantation. rooms were clean quiet great mattresses, staff went out of their way to make my comfortable. People so friendly you could sit down anywhere and feel welcome

Beautiful Beach!

We went to this resort for March break with our three teenage children, and I would go back. The food was good, the rooms ok, and the beach was fantastic. The walk on the board walk to the beach was not the best view of the cabins, but not a reason to stay away from this resort. Enjoy!

Iberostar Mojito

Example: What did you think about  this hotel? (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.) Grounds were well kept, rooms were clean, dining was exellent, entertainment was great. We were both impressed

Great Beach and Food

This was a very nice hotel...beautiful rooms, and for the first time to Cuba I can say the food was amazing...no diet camp at this resort..lol The staff was very helpful and very friendly. Very good entertainment. I would go back to this resort.

Poor quality

Vero old and fatigued, employees try but cannot make shine an old building! Really could be renovated and make stay more pleasant. Some bed sheets were even cleaned, still have blood marks. Many Mosquitos everywhere. Our friends daughter had to see the doctor and pay $$$ for this reason. Again rooms we're smelling mild, walls fall apart.

Incredible experience!

My fiance and I went to this resort for a week at the beginning of May and the weather was perfect. It was extremely hot every day and never too windy. The beach was spectacular, that beautiful powder white sand that everyone boasts about when traveling to Cuba. We spent all our days at the beach as we couldn't get enough! The staff was very welcoming and friendly, always good service. The nightly entertainment was great as well. Food was extremely good, best I've ever had in Cuba, no complaints [... read more] at all. The a la carte restaurant were great too...especially El Malacon. Would love to go back just to see Yamil there! The rooms were clean and very well looked after, we enjoyed it very much. The pools were great and always clean, and the grounds were exceptionally beautiful. We will likely go back if we ever choose to return to Cayo Coco in the future!

Beautiful resort

We were there in Jan 2014. Unfortunately, the weather was cold and rainy. We did not swim as much as we would leave liked. The ground is beautiful. The food was delicious and plentiful. The service was excellent and the entertainment was superb. We particularly liked the ambience atmosphere at the Cigar Lounge. We took only one excursion due to the weather and would like to return in the near future to explore the area.

A great hotel

the resort had warm,friendly,and helpful staff. We had hot weather with air conditioned rooms,thank you,grounds well kept,lots of food choices,ate too much dessert and gained a few pounds,i guess i had too many pina coladas too,entertainment during the day and evenings were fabulous,liked to play the pool side games but didn't win a bottle of rum, oh well had lots of wine,more calories,burned the calories doing pool exercises which were a lot of fun,played bingo didn't win the rum,shucks just ha [... read more]d a spanish coffee instead,yummy,i even had an awesome massage,actually it was one of the best i've ever had,and i have had a lot.walking the beach was beautiful and it gave me a workout to burn off the amazing food i ate.have only one complaint,the washroom just right of the main stage was smelly.

Not Impressed

The beach was nice & the resort has potential but I'm being generous by giving a 3 rating. There was a different problem with our room every day, including water leaking thru our ceiling, door handle falling off, no hot water & poor A/C. There was very little variety with the meals. They had one wonderful dinner by the pool one night that we quite enjoyed. We ate in the buffet most nights because there was only one a la carte rest. & it was booked full most nights. Great value for the money!

Iberostar Mojito is an older resort and my room was proof of that. However, they kept it very clean and were doing lots of maintenance to the resort while I was there to keep it looking good. It wasn't a busy time of year at the end of May, so not all of the a la carte restaurants were open, which was a shame because it would have been nice to have dinner at more than just one. Going alone, I wanted to be sure I didn't get sick, so every time there was a cooking station open, that's where I went to get my meal, so they could make it fresh. My room was clean and the maid was very nice. But I was at the end of one of the buildings and when I walked out of my room along the side of the building to get to the pool, there was a used condom on the grass. It was there the whole week, and it probably is still there to this day. Totally gross. I certainly didn't expect more than what I got, but for $800, I'd say it was a great vacation. All the staff were very friendly, with the exception of one grumpy cigar shop employee, and I felt they would all go that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. The beach alone was worth the $800! I couldn't believe how beautiful the beach was! And it was so great that it wasn't busy, because it was like having the beach all to myself. It was nice that the resort had people on the beach that would bring the lounge chairs to wherever you chose to sit for the day, and because it wasn't a busy time of year, there was always a cabana available. Would I go back to Cuba after this experience? Absolutely! Would I stay at this resort again? Yes! As a single person, it was very important to me that I felt safe and I certainly did at this resort. The security was tight at the front gate, patrolling the beach and the resort grounds.

Super experience

The grounds were beautiful, the staff wonderful, and the Brazilian chef was amazing. The food was more like on a cruise ship than a Cuban resort. the annimation staff were wonderful and we had a great time

FANTASTIC

Had an awesome stay here. The food, staff, entertainment, rooms, beach, pool....it was all great. The sea bass at the Buffet and Pool Snack bar was the BEST. We loved hanging out in the lobby bar before dinner, good drinks, good entertainment. The Cigar Bar Band was amazing, we really enjoyed the music. Hopefully we'll be back next year.

Hotel very nice grounds well kept room needs a bit of improvements dining very good I would recommend this resort to my friends the entertainment was just great thepoo well kept and the beach just beautiful

Amazing resort!

This resort is my favorite out of 11 times in cuba. The staff is wonderful, beach,food,drinks and entertainment are amazing. The cigar lounge is a great place to have a drink and listen to a great band. I will definitely be back!
