Excellent Vacation

We enjoyed our entire week. First time every to experience adults only resort. We enjoyed all of the restaurants we able to get reservations for. Very relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely share this location to friends and family members.

Amazing resort 👍

This resort, waiters are good attitude, clean, beautiful rooms, beautiful garden and foods are yummy 👍👍. Unfortunately, the water of the beach is not really clear, in addition, everything has five-star level.

Amazing Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville Hotel

The hotel ground and public areas are well kept. The pool, as well as the beach area are beautifully maintained by workers constantly cleaning the swimming pool ground; and, they are there raking the debris off the beach sand every morning. Our room is very nice, just as it is shown in the ad. No problem with the maid making their daily round of cleaning and stocking up the fridge. The buffet food quantity are ample, with good variety to please. This hotel is a real gem.

Great Resort worth every penny!

Beautiful resort. Grounds well manicured and gorgeous. Hardworkng staff, excellent bartender in Santos at pool bar. Service was wonderful. Beautiful rooms, lots In mini bar. Enjoyed room service! Wouldn't change a thing!

Good resort

Very nice resort. Food at the buffet was very good, and the same for the main Don Pablo restaurant. However the Food at the Asian restaurant was awful. The beach does not have the fine white sands, and even the ocean is not clear. Friendly staff. Over all a good experience.

Beautiful resort - fairly new. Well maintained. Lots of flowering plants but only a few in variety. A few mango plants. Overall clean and good ambiance.

About 3 year old resort. Well manicured and well maintained hotel grounds. Beautiful swimming pools and good access to the beach. Man-made beach - basically corals covered with imported sand. Not clear water and there was about 30 cm (1 ft) drop in beach level (underwater) about two meters from the shore line - caught many people by surprise. Beach walk was limited to about 1 to 2 km on either side. Lots of private / resort development ongoing along the beach front. We walked every day and excep [... read more]t for a few places, where the sand covering was shallow, the overall ambiance was good. Missed the blue / green water of Punta Cana. Good buffet restaurants, good service and good food. Most service staff spoke decent English. Room staff - less so. Front staff - a little less attentive. Speciality restaurants were OK - nothing outstanding. Stick to sea food. Keep away from the Sushi and Japanese cuisine (in the Asian restaurant). There were no lobsters, few scallops. Mostly shrimps and clams. Took a day trip to Santa Domingo - Older guide (kept on calling us his family - every few minutes). Well versed but had problem with his English - perhaps French was better. Not worth the 75 US$ cost.

Great resort, poor Trip Central support

The accommodations were great, the staff was friendly and the scenery was beautiful. Our only issue was with Trip Central and their customer service when we had airline problems. Resort was great, but wouldn't use Trip Central again

Great vacation

The resort was well laid out and easy to get from place to place. Two pools offer you a quiet day or a more entertaining day both with swim up bars. Overall we enjoyed this resort. Food was great. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Staff were great. Special shout out to Annabel and Luis. If there was a suggestion to be made it would be the service in the lounge/bars. The servers need to be more attentive, this is were there is room for improvement. I would recommend this resort.

Good vacation

Just got back April 23rd and had a very nice time. The resort was very clean and the people were excellent. Too bad for the weather having rain every day but still could be out around the pools. The only thing we did struggle with was the food. Could have been better. Fasuco the young lad on the resort was so kind to us and couldn't help us enough. Our flight on Transat as usual was excellent. All in all great vacation.

Wednesday.18 same thin also Thursday.19 same thin even so I went to Management of the Resort and Air Transat we will talk to the top in Line Management, oh we will come back to you, give us your them Name room nr we come back to you (still Waiting) If you need to Run the Generator, close the Pool area for the time running or build a noise reduction Wall or open up Door to the back it may help to reduce the Noise. Tell the People a Generator is close by it may inter fair with your relaxation for you stay. I am Business if someone would Complain about losing 3 days of relaxation Construction or Generator Noise, I would not say we come back to you I would be back and let them know or try to comfort them not taken the 20.000 plus Dollars for the Group to get there it so post to be Adult Luxury Bahia Principe. All in our Group was saying the Beach Kids area are very good also the rest of the resource. Working Personal very friendly, helpful what the Management has to Learn from workers. The grounds were beautiful the staff were friendly but the food was not hot , the generator was running all the time in the quiet pool we were not able to get into the ala cartes and at the quiet pool the drinks were not good compared to the other pool. The rooms were really nice but friends in our group and no hot water for showers for 3 days some of them had a fridge that didnt work I would never go back I have been to a 3-4 star that was so much better than this 5 star. Very nice resort

Great resort, clean rooms and lobbies. Buffet food could have different selections daily and could be hotter, good overall tastes. Al a cart restaurants had good to amazing food. Gourmet restaurant had amazing steak, cooked to melt in your mouth perfection. Wifi was off and on. Power went out 2 to 3 times per day. Quiet pool had noisey nearby deisel engine running daily.

Good - 4 star

This is our fourth visit to a Bahia Principe Don Pablo resort in the last year. The Resort is what you would expect from Bahia Principe Don Pablo. We stayed April 15-22 and stayed in building 53. A few positives: - meals at the Brazilian and Don Pablo a la carte restaurants were amazing - rib eye and tenderloin (Brazilian) and duck (Don Pablo) were some of the best we've had anywhere - it is nice they have three pool areas - the quiet pool, the party pool and Jacuzzi pool right beside th [... read more]e beach - the grounds and rooms are really well maintained and clean - lots of lounges at the beach and pools and lots of shade protection A few negatives: - checkin was 1.5 hours late and they didn't seem to have the staff to handle room turnovers to make the 3 PM checkin time - Some staff are excellent but others are almost non communicative - they do run out of certain brands or liquors as well as mixes e.g. we could get cosmopolitans day 1 and 2 and then they ran out of cranberry juice and never had it re-stocked for the balance of our trip - Internet, although free, is 'iffy'. Download speed is only .7 Mbps and up is 25 Mbps - I would not recommend the seafood a la carte restaurant. The seafood is better at the buffet - Booking a la cartes was difficult when we visited. I'd recommend jumping on the wifi when you arrive and book the restaurants using the Bahia app - Power outages happen many times daily and only for about 60 seconds each time. The diesel generator is located near the quiet pool and ran for two pf the three days of our visit - it is loud and the fumes are unpleasant - public washroom toilets are sometimes plugged but that is because guests try to flush tissue rather and put it in the garage - the beach and ocean are fine but not the what you'd find in Punta Cana - just a heads up if you're a beach lover Overall, another positive Don Pablo experience with a few hiccups. I would return.

Great Trip

The resort is very clean and very well maintained. The bars are under staffed and lineups are constant. The food is good and the guest rooms are very nice. The GYM is very poor, outdated and small - it was disappointing and it could only accommodate 5 people at any one time and the hours of operation were very limited. The night life was very low key and low talent. Be prepared to have communication difficulties with resort staff if you do not speak Spanish. Power (hydro) outages occur [... read more]red daily and often between 4pm - 7pm. The weather was EXCELLENT 32 degrees daily under sunny skies and no rain (April 2-9, 2017).

Great Resort!

The grounds of this resort are spectacular! Rooms are beautiful and super clean, staff was all very helpful and friendly. Buffet restaurants were all good, a la cartes could use some work. Not enough staff at pool bars, however pools were excellent and nice beach.

The good the bad the ugly

The Good This was an awesome place to stay, from its excellent buffets to the perfect a la cartes The Bad The service at the bar was hit and miss. Sometimes there was no beer, or limes or even vodka at the big pool. Very in consistent. The Ugly The last day that we were there, a new group had just arrived. Boy what a group. Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville

The grounds of this hotel is 5 star. The grounds are immaculate. The rooms are a great size. If your not getting an ocean view ask for building 57 facing the pool with a balcony we were in 57122. Even numbers face pool. This is a new building facing the new quiet pool. It's close to everything the buffet the a la cartes and lobby and la Romana le gourmet. A la carte a can only be booked by the Bahia app which I recommend to install. The only restaurant that must be done by the staff is d [... read more]on Pablo gourmet restaurant. In your check in envelope is your keys luggage baggage a slip so bellman bring your bags to your room and a mso. What is a missing is the Dress code for the a cartes are shirts with sleeves belted shorts or pants with closed toe shoes. Don Pablo and le gourmet you must wear pants. How to set up free Wifi. The hours of the restaurants especially the buffets. These are most important if you arrive after 6 pm. Check in will be done on the bus in. So ask your Butler or bell man or front desk when you get there. Note reservation number or reservsa number is different than confirmation number. If you are lucky they might give you both before your trip so you can book your a la carte a before you arrive two or three days before. Upgrade to option plus on return you get to buy ok your seats ahead of time first on a plane seperate line for booking at airport. Most important access to privekedge lounge. It's 54 each well worth it. Your at the airport 3.5 hours before flight. Book your movies in advance on cineb app. You are permitted 3 shows total. The movies are date specific if you set them up for your departure it wouldn't be available on your return. You watch it on your cell or lap top that you downloaded it to. The bar is all premium names of brands you have heard of before. Bacardi gordens crown riyal baileys Chivas etc. The only additional charges are some single malt scotch cognac and bottles of wine. The gourmet restaurants is fine dining leave your diet at the door. The grill is for people that love meat have a early seating for this as the meat sometimes is kept warm and gets overcooked for late bookings. Stay away from fish house. The Asian is great ask for jose he will take care of you. Make use of your Butler they put scents in your room. Get you special pillows with or without scents help you with packing and unpacking etc. Two dollars goes a long way. The restaurants are limited to wine and shots for coffee or after-dinner drinks. Lobby bar is fully stocked. Enjoy your stay. We will return 5 stars. It's is great for a relaxing holiday it starts at 8 am and gets really quiet at 11pm unless you go to la Romana side.

Beautiful Quiet Resort

We just got back from a very nice, relaxing vacation. Food and service were good, facilities were very very clean. Room was clean, fridge stocked nothing missing. The beach is very nice but as most other comments the water is not crystal clear, which is not very inviting... so if you like to swim in ocean this may not be the ideal place for you. The ambiance is cool, one pool for activities and the other for relaxing. Our only negative comment is the night life, there is none!! at 11.00 sharp  [... read more]the resort closes down. the lights turn off, the bars close and it's straight to bed. It's unfortunate because we had dinner reservations for 9.30 and it would have been nice to have time for a night cap before bed. maybe midnight would be better.. In my opinion paying the extra to be at the adults only is worth it so don't hesitate.

Very Nice Resort

The resort was good, food and service okay. The one thing that annoyed us is that we paid the extra for the luxury and all the events were at the main resort. When we tried to order a premium liquor at the mail resort they refused us saying it was not included even though we had the wrist bands indicating we were entitled.
